Negative experience: I believe that each patient or customer should be in charge of their dental care, not be mandated,, Take it or leave it by the dentist. My experience was I just wanted a teeth cleaning. I agreed to x-rays, and they uphold me with no other choices regarding a deep clean. It’s like buying an airline seat on an open plane, and being told you’re gonna buy first class, because they make money. Call me crazy, but I want to be in control of my dental care not a stranger who makes more money by recommending more services. I have pulled my wife, son and daughter from going here and we’re in the process of finding another dentist. Referrals welcome.

Fantastic experience: About 5 years ago, my dentist who I was going to for over 25 years had to retire early due to health issues. I was heartbroken. So, I had to find another dentist who was just as good, which I knew would not be an easy task. Since my previous dentist was in downtown Houston, (yes, downtown Houston), I decided to try to find someone in The Woodlands. I found this to be quite a challenge, as I am very particular about my doctors. I found it hard to find someone who I could respect and know they are truly looking out for me and only wants the best treatment plan for me. After what seemed to be forever, I finally found a Dentist who met all the requirements on my extensive list including being in The Woodlands. The Dentist I am referring to is Dr. Chaitra Arakere (aka Dr. Chi). Once you meet Dr. Chi and her amazing staff, you will know your task has been completed. God bless Dr. Chi and her staff, and thank you Dr. Chi for your dedication and commitment to serving our Country by completing the Officer Training program at the Maxwell Air Force Base and upholding their core values.

Fantastic experience: I had an old crown replaced by Dr. Chai today. Even though there was some unexpected decay when the crown was moved, Dr. Chai took care of it, and I still was able to leave on time. Her assistant was also wonderful, and so attentive to me. Thank you Dr. Chai!

Dr Chai introduces new technology, such as digital X-rays, that make the dental experience as painless as possible. As a new patient I am very happy with Smiles by Burgess. Starting with the initial paperwork - Brandi was very efficient and professional and helped me get all my information uploaded online. The office is modern, tastefully decorated - bright, neat and clean My hygienist, Veronica, was friendly and very competent and did a meticulous job of attending to my teeth and gums. Dr. Chai is also very friendly and listened carefully and offered thoughtful advice, with detailed explanations for each diagnosis and recommendations.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional Urgent Care at Smiles by Dr. Chai I recently had an urgent dental issue when an old filling unexpectedly crumbled apart on a rear molar three days before a scheduled vacation. Fortunately, Dr. Chai’s office was incredibly accommodating and managed to fit me in on the same day, which was a huge relief. From the moment I walked into the clinic, the staff were very reassuring and made sure I was comfortable and kept well-informed throughout the diagnostic, the recommendation, the costs, and the procedure. They efficiently prepared and installed my temporary crown in the same visit and contacted their supplier to expedite creation and delivery of my permanent crown prior to my vacation. Because it was a difficult area to reach and there was additional decay near the nerve, they frequently checked with me to see if I needed a break and to ensure that I was not experiencing any sensation, discomfort, nor even the slightest pain. I absolutely loved the mouthpiece that they used because it was a comfortable bite plate that enabled me to keep my mouth open while providing suction, air drying, and a shield to keep my tongue away from the working area. The mouthpiece allowed me to further relax while they performed excellent work. I am extremely pleased with the professionalism and efficiency of Dr. Chai and her entire team. Their ability to handle my emergency swiftly and their excellent patient care were truly impressive. Their attention to detail and patient comfort was superb and I walked out of the office feeling confident and pain-free. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dental team. Thanks to them, I was able to enjoy my vacation without any dental worries with a confident smile!

Negative experience: This place is completely ripped off. They charged me for tooth extraction which is fully covered by my insurance. When I call them after the treatment then they mentioned that my insurance is out of network. WHAT? THEY NEVER TOLD ME OUT OF NETEORK on the first hand. I can easily go somewhere else and done it without spending single penny. Stay away from this place!

Fantastic experience: This week I saw Stephanie for a deep cleaning and she was amazing. My mouth feels great. She knew how scared I was and she talked to me the e tire time. If you need a great person to clean your teeth, ask for Stephanie. I also saw Dr Chai and her assistant Edith the day after seeing Stephanie. Again they knew my fear. Dr Chai even called me the evening before to make sure I was ok. Anyway I had two fillings done and started the process of replacing an old crown. Edith has such a caring heart a positive spirit. She held my hand and talked to me the whole time. Dr Chai made sure I was pain free before starting, gave me a blanket, a cool comfy neck support and a mango to squeeze. She asked me throughout the entire visit if I was ok and telling me how great I was doing. Let me remind you that I am very scared about going to the dentist. Today was a great experience. Christina up front is so sweet and beautiful. She explain’s everything to you so you can understand. I just want to say 100% if you fear the dentist, this is the office to help you. I also love that Dr Chai is very knowledgeable in the whole body and how important dental health is in its overall role to a healthy body!!! Wonderful office with lovely employees!! The office overall is professional, clean and very nicely laid out. You can do everything here and they will specifically meet your needs depending on your case I came in because I had a major toothache and I found out that I had a wisdom tooth infected, and they immediately gave me a prescription for antibiotics after taking x-rays and doing a Exam of the problem ! They went above and beyond for me; I unfortunately needed to bring my daughter with me during the visit whos 3 months old and they had no problem tending to her and pushing her around in her stroller while i was getting x rays done. I cannot remember the name of the other woman up front, but between her , Donna and Dr. Chai this office is truly a great place to go. I couldn’t recommend it more.
