Fantastic experience: Dr. Kakos was able to schedule me the same day I called when my temporary crown came out. He was very friendly and patient with me. He explained every question I had. My new crown was sent to his office though I am not a regular patient at his practice and he was able to put in my new crown .

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kakos. He stepped in during a very difficult and complicated situation to help my dentist remove a two-decade-old implant crown from an implant system that has long been discontinued and is no longer commonly worked on. This was not a simple procedure. The crown and abutment were extremely difficult to remove, and there was uncertainty about what would be found underneath. Dr. Kakos was willing to take on a challenge that many others would not, working carefully and persistently to help preserve my existing implant rather than moving straight to removal. His kindness, confidence, and willingness to help made an incredibly stressful situation much easier to handle. Thanks to his expertise and determination, the implant was saved and I can move forward with the next stage of treatment. I am truly grateful that he was willing to step in when I needed someone with the skill and experience to tackle such an unusual case. Thank you, Dr. Kakos!

Fantastic experience: My mother-in-law has been going to Dr. Kakos for over 25 years! The entire staff is professional, courteous and truly cares about providing gentle care. Dr. Kakos is very efficient and always provides an ample amount of time to get the work done - always faster than you think ! I'm guessing it's all of his years of experience with all kinds of patients and their multitude of complex dental issues.

Positive experience: Dental hygienist and dentist very nice, but the price for teeth cleaning and X-rays $548. Way overpriced will find a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: My family has been going to Dr Kakos since the beginning of his practice where he and his staff and his son, Dr Stephan, makes us feel like family. They do excellent work and we always look forward to going to the dentist. Negative experience: The ABSOLUTE WORST Dentist ever!!!! I paid in full for my teeth and was insulted for not being completely satisfied!! I asked why the teeth color didn’t match, why my upper teeth don’t meet my lower teeth! I was told l should have said something before! How did I know until you place the implants and supposedly adjust Now I am having everything redone by a professional competent Dentist, who will do the work and has already done work because my implant that came out had to be re-glued nine times from the work that Dr Kakos did and each time he charged me $300 to glue back the tooth that he originally put in this is ridiculous. People should not be very aware that you can safe yourself from the cost and trauma you will experience if you choose dr Kakos , l can’t even print the doctor prefix in capital

Fantastic experience: I’ve gone to Dr. Kakos’ practice for 20 years and have had nothing but great experiences my whole life. From him handling gum issues, a tooth removal, gingivitis, the ZOOM teeth whitening (which I give 100/10 stars!!), and so much more; it’s been nothing but top tier service. ALL of their staff is top tier. Warm, welcoming, helpful, always on time, the space itself is always super clean and well kept, and they’re very good about rescheduling/finding time that works with your schedule. Dr Kakos has been nothing but the absolute best with me. I remember how well he treated me after a horrible experience at a “children’s dentistry” when I was young. He didn’t make me scared to go to the dentist anymore - ha! He’s extremely skilled in his field, very knowledgeable, problem solver, empathetic, and is just a really sweet doctor. I’ve also met with his son, Dr. Stephen, a few times and he is great as well!! And a special shoutout to Terry. She has been cleaning my teeth since I was a young kid. She has a gift in what she does! Always provides the best service, efficiently and thoroughly when I come in and makes me feel right at home. Always going out of her way to make sure I’m comfortable during any cleaning. Love seeing her! Nothing but great things to say about Dr. Kakos’ practice. I love being a patient here.

Fantastic experience: Dr. James Kakos is a pro's pro and we are very happy with his dental work. The wife had a big multiple crown, implant, and bridge job done by him in his Naperville office about 3 years ago and we were and still are very happy with that major work. Today though we returned to this more convenient (for us) Arlington Heights office for a specialized need. Wife had a stripped screw not reliably holding a crown onto an implant and Dr. Kakos was able to extract and replace the screw as well as salvage the crown which was an unexpected bonus. This was a repair that our regular and very good dentist could not perform. I got to witness the work and wow, it was like watching an auto mechanic with a vast array of sophisticated miniature tools at work, and it was fascinating and amazing to see Dr James Kakos' skills in action. I could have more properly used the term cosmetic dentist as opposed to auto mechanic, but all those tools, widgets, and parts made me think of auto mechanic lol. I also have to specify his first name as his son Dr. Stephan Kakos (and third generation dentist!) also now works in this office as well as in Naperville. His specialist services aren't cheap but you get what you pay for and need. Thank you once again Dr. James Kakos!

They have a very similar gentle professionalism that helped me trust them both with problems I was very anxious about and avoiding for way too long. They had a lot of problems to solve in my mouth, and they came up with a plan to solve them in a reasonable amount of time, both in terms of not taking too long and also not trying to do too much at once. They are also both very skilled at monitoring a patient to avoid as much pain as possible, which was very much appreciated. They want me to pick a favorite, but I'm not going there! I'm happy to see either of them to continue my dental care!

After taking a full set of x-rays, Terry checked for tartar, plaque, gingivitis, ad gum recession. She discussed the benefits of using an electric toothbrush and offered recommendations on toothpaste and mouthwash. Terry was considerate of my comfort throughout each stage of the cleaning. Overall, an amazing experience.
