Fantastic experience: Dr Robinson and his assistant were comforting when it was time for my son's tooth extraction. He is a wonderful pediatric dentist. I would recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend especially if you have a special needs child. They have been wonderful over the years and I wouldn't take my child anywhere else.

Negative experience: My son has always had a good experience here but I called to get an appointment for him because he has some spots on his teeth that may be cavities and some other concerns like bite issues and was told they have no appointments until 7 months from now. I found somewhere else that actually has the capacity to get patients in to provide the care they need.

Fantastic experience: My one year old went for the very first time. And my first time at this office as well. And the staff was very friendly and accommodating to my child being scared of her visit and the fact we were there for a chipped tooth. Dr Robinson was AMAZING, made my child feel comfortable and sang to comfort them while he cleaned their teeth. Thank You! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this place to anyone! My 6 year old is autistic and has issue with brushing. He was a bit nervous, and i was as well, they made us feel comfortable and safe. When it came time for his procedure, he was not afraid at all. The nurses and dentist made him laugh and he did amazing. They listened to all I had to say. They passed no judgement. They did everything all at once so we wouldn’t have to put him under twice, they even did a cleaning while he was under. I plan on switching the rest of my kids over to them, even with the hour drive there and back, it is worth it!

Fantastic experience: Thank you to this office for quickly taking care of our son, M, with an emergent dentistry need! We were referred from another practice today for an infected tooth, and because of a cancellation we were able to be seen the same day by Dr. Robinson. He was excellent, and explained everything very well, was personable and had great bedside manner. He made a point of discussing everything with my husband, and asking him his preferences as a parent before the procedure. Thank you so much for your quick and attentive care. We also greatly appreciated the discount for paying in full for services on the same day! Very grateful to you all!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good about our experience at WMPD! Everyone is so kind, patient and caring. One of my daughters has a lot of dental anxiety and Dr.Robinson took the time to really work towards getting her to trust him. The dental hygienist was so understanding as well. The staff here truly want kids to love going to the dentist and you can tell based on how they approach working with kids! We are very thankful to bring our kids here.

Negative experience: If I could give less then 1 stat I would this place is a joke your telling me because of something 7 years ago because I didn't show up for 1 appointment your dismissing my child from being seen would recommend going somewhere different if you want want to deal with people that are money hungry

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about West Mi Pediatric Dentistry! Dr. Robinson, Dr. Bolt and Dr. Tom have helped my son through numerous situations from trauma on the weekends, to acute infections to cleanings and fillings. They answer all my questions and provide education in a way that I can understand it. The Doctors and all the staff have always been so kind, gentle, patient and relatable to my son. We've had nothing less than wonderful visits. We always look forward to see what fun socks, shoes and scrub caps Dr. Robinson and Dr. Bolt are wearing! Thank you for everything!

Both times, they were so gentle, kind, and patient. 100% recommend this place each and every time I'm asked where peds patients should seek dental care. Negative experience: Hadn’t had any problems really until my daughter’s appointment today. Dr bolt was extremely rude with her when she was scared and crying kept saying “stop crying” “why are you crying” “we’re not going to do this, you need to stop” not very empathetic at all. She’s SIX. The hygienist wasn’t all that great either normally you would expect people working with children to explain what they are putting over her face and the steps they are going to take to get her fixed up.like I said she’s only six She’s going to be scared and it didn’t help having a dr sitting in her face yelling at her. Makes me scared to bring her back and concerned about what she endured when she had to go under anesthesia two other times there when I wasn’t allowed to stay with her.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Biddle and the staff at West MI Pediatric Dentistry are fantastic! This was my 8 year old's first "procedure" at the dentist and it couldn't have gone any better. They were very kind and personable which put my daughter at ease, and they also explained the diagnosis and treatment proposal well. I appreciated the conservative approach to her care, the detailed instructions for follow-up care, and the smoothness of her entire treatment. The facility is neat, welcoming, and comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: This dentist office is absolutely top-notch, definitely worth the hour drive for my family. I am posting this on my first visit with my daughter, and they have previously done work for her little brother. The staff here have been very kind and compassionate with both of my children, and they do their jobs very effectively and in a timely manner. They are consistent with keeping me updated and my anxiety levels as low as possible. This is 100% a fantastic place to bring kids for any dental care they need.

Fantastic experience: My son is 15 months - so a bit on the earlier side for needing dental care, but we decided to get him in and I had no problem scheduling! I LOVED this office. Dr. Thomas Bouwens was great with my son (even through his screaming and swinging - sorry ) and was able to help me confirm my teething suspicions and gave great advice on helping brush his teeth and what dental care should look like for him moving forward. The hygienist worked at lightning speed to get him his prize afterwards (you know because he was still yelling ) and that INSTANTLY chilled him out. The actual exam for him was only like 2 minutes - quick peak and a fluoride treatment. We were in and out in 20 minutes or less. Thank you for making such a daunting experience as good and easy as possible

Negative experience: My 4 year old daughter has a lot of health issues, she sees about 7 specialists, her whole life. She is due for a bone marrow transplant and her team wants to make sure her oral health is taken care of first. As she cannot have any major work done post 1 year transplant. She has been complaining about her teeth for almost 2 weeks now. I took her in last Thursday and they told us she has multiple cavities that they’d have to put her under for. They then proceed to tell me the wait list is 3-6 months or even up to a year. I even asked them if there was someone else who can do this then, and that seemed to offend them. “we’re the best in the area”. I don’t care , my daughter can barely eat or sleep without breaking down telling me it hurts her. Her father & I took her to the ER, 2 nights ago, and they urged us to get her cavities fixed ASAP. I will be looking into other options since “the BEST” can’t do anything for her.

Fantastic experience: Sometimes people are so awesome that you have leave a review. This is one of those times. Our soon-to-be two year old had a little bit of an emergency and Erin, at the front desk, was absolutely wonderful as she helped us navigate what we needed to do. Our daughter was not just seen, but very well cared for, by Dr. Robinson. He is truly amazing at what he does and put our minds at ease as parents. This was her first time at a dentist and I don't think the experience will ever be able to be topped. Thank you all for your help!

Negative experience: This is the only Dentists office my now 8 and 10 year old has ever been to. Until today I have had nothing but good things to say about WMPD! My 10 year old had his first ever issue with his teeth. One tooth had an infection in between the adult tooth and baby tooth. The adult tooth still had a while to come out so Dr. Bolt said the best bet would be to extract the tooth. This entire experience has made my child upset, scared and now dosnt want to come back to the dentists! I drive an hour to come to this dentists to try and set my child up to have a positive experience for life. The Dentist was extreamly impatient! Didnt explain to my child what he was doing. When the top of your mouth is getting numbed it hurts! All Bolt said was here comes a push? And my son cried and was terrified. Bolt had no empathy! Had a smerk in his face and no patience with my son! Bolt just had a attitude! Flinging his dental tool down with disgust! His assistant was no better. When they were done my son was balling! The assitant had no patience with him! Told him to bite down on the gauze. Didnt try to comfort him nothing! The whole thing was horrible! It is so unfortunate, now my son hates the dentists!

Positive experience: Did a lot of work all at once for my daughter and got it done nice and fast would have liked to be in the room when they woke her up but other then that they did good wish they would have prescribed her some Tylenol cuz it was expensive to buy some.

The care and love them provide to their patients is so special. They make every visit fun and always put the child’s needs first to ensure a pleasant visit. We can’t thank them enough.

Negative experience: This dental office wanted to put my daughter under and have the ability to just do whatever treatment they deemed necessary if they "found" other issues and when I made it clear that they would need to get my permission prior to doing anything other than the previously agreed upon treatment they refused treating my daughter all together. No referral to another specialist, nothing to have this needed treatment completed in a timely manner which goes against moral and ethical code. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU THOROUGHLY READ ALL PAPERWORK GIVEN TO YOU TO SIGN. YOU SIGN AWAY ALL NEGLIGENT LIABILITY AT THIS OFFICE.

Fantastic experience: Amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was comfortable getting her teeth fixed. They are patient, kind, and very attentive. My daughter was terrified of the dentist, she had zero issues here.

Fantastic experience: My son has autism and typically hates the dentist and our current dentist couldn’t get us in so we made an appointment at west Michigan pediatric dentistry and I believe we saw Dr. Bolt. My son was very nervous going in but as we were leaving he said “that was the best dentist ever” so I made my kids future cleanings here too! All the staff were very nice. Also, they have a huge fish tank and my son is very knowledgeable with aquatic life and very fascinated by it so that was a great surprise. Thank you all again!

Fantastic experience: This practice is absolutely wonderful! It is kid friendly and focused. Both of my kids were very anxious about their first visit to the dentist and their concerns quickly disappeared…and now they ask when they get to go back to the dentist! The hygienists are so friendly and do a wonderful job informing the kids about what they’re doing and why. We’ve seen each of the dentists and each one has treated my kids with dignity, respect, and kindness. I only have great things to say!

Fantastic experience: We have been going here for over 18 years. My oldest is 20, with autism. My youngest is 12. All interactions have been nothing but kind, compassionate, and understanding. I am thankful for positive dental experiences when young to avoid dental phobia in adulthood.

Fantastic experience: Another HUGE shoutout to a local business…West Michigan Pediatric Dentistry. After our young daughter’s fall off a bike on Saturday, she had two cracked teeth. Her regular dentist was just not quite understanding the severity of the situation after a visit earlier in the week and a follow up phone call from me after her tooth broke off while brushing her teeth. She was in pain and had another on the opposite side that was about to do the same thing. I called West Michigan Pediatric Dentistry in an panic and explained the situation. They got her in IMMEDIATELY and took care of everything right away. We saw Dr. Bowens who was fantastic with her!! She’s a happy camper who is finally able to chew, and we are now switching both our children to their care.

Fantastic experience: I was a patient long ago when I was a child, and now take my daughter here. We moved to Grand Rapids and tried a pediatric dentist and hated it. We will make the extra drive to West Michigan Pediatric Dentistry! All staff are friendly and take the necessary time with each visit. I struggle with anxiety taking my kid to the dentist, and I am thankful I can go back with her and watch. My daughter enjoys her visit and isn’t scared!

Fantastic experience: Promptly greeted upon arrival. Taken right back to begin daughter’s procedure. Everyone was kind & understanding to our child’s needs.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about this office and its staff. We were treated with nothing but kindness from the moments we entered until the times we left. My 5 year old daughter needed an extraction as well as a baby root canal. We opted for anesthesia since she would not have been been agreeable to sit still for so much work. The day of the procedure, Dr Bolt, once again was very kind and explained everything that he would do. Next the anesthesiologist, Dr. Nosek, came in to explain everything related to the anesthesia and what to expect. His knowledge and expertise were evident, which put our minds at ease. The two ladies, Dani and Erin, who helped with the procedure were stars and quickly built a great repour with our daughter. During the procedure we had a private waiting room with a tv, light snacks and water. The entire procedure from the time our daughter left us until the time we were reunited was 45 to 50 minutes. Our daughter did wonderful and since they explained everything to expect in terms of coming out of anesthesia we had no surprises. I am happy to report that our daughter exhibited very little pain afterwards and required no additional pain medication at home. We feel so blessed to have found this dentistry and it is well worth the 1 hour drive. Again I highly recommend them with the care of your child.

I was treated with great respect while waiting for him. Coffee, snacks, water and my own private room with TV. The staff was also amazing. I was very impressed! They don’t push kids too hard especially when they are little so they don’t develop that fear of the dentist like so many people get. Dr Tom Bouwens is one of our favorites.

Fantastic experience: My son Isaiah had surgery last week. He is only 3yo First surgery he has had. Needless to say , 11 Teeth we're successfully FIXED , and Isaiah was back to himself within hours. With NO PAIN! The following morning I was expecting him to have an extremely sore mouth , but I was completely wrong. He was in absolutely no pain . Nothing but great news. I'm extremely happy I choose to get a second opinion at west Michigan pediatric dentistry! Even with 11 teeth being corrected , he had 0 pain. Great team at this office!
