Negative experience: This is a good place to go if you have a pocket full of cash and don’t want it. I needed a tooth pulled, most dentists charge $300 to $400. This dentist requires a consultation first $285.00. The day of the pulling the cost was $847.00. Total cost of a tooth pulling $1,132.00. Have a great day!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Scott was professionals and respectful. He answered all questions and concerns prior to surgery and was orderly and comforting the day of surgery. I arrived at approximately 8:40, was greeted friendly by nursing staff and receptionist. I was brought back within 5 minutes. Again asked if I had any questions. IV in within 2 minutes, first try, provided me reassurance and I was being wheeled out in a chair about 15 minutes later. I felt nothing at all, not even a poke of the needle. Wife drove me home and really the next thing I remember is it was 5 hours later on the couch.all I needed was a little ibuprofen..I followed his written instructions tons and they even called me that same day. I have no residual numbness or loss of sensation d/T proximity of extracted tooth to facial nerve. It’s two days later and business as usual. Will definitely be using him for any and all complicated dental procedures.

They even called later in the afternoon after my wisdom teeth extraction to make sure everything was ok. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I am not great with dental stuff as it usually freaks me out but dr Scott and his team made me feel secure the whole time!

He and his staff are most professional, courteous, and thorough. He is honest, forthright, and focused on doing the right thing for his patients, up to and including decisions to forego high risk options in favor of other options that are more advantageous to his patient, though it would mean his services would no longer br required. He totally deserves the stellar reputation he enjoys. I 100% recommend him to anyone needing oral surgery.

I had NO pain during the surgical procedure. The entire staff was knowledgeable, kind and concerned for health. I will definitely use this office again if needed. I highly recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: I had oral surgery on an infected back tooth under sedation. The entire staff was friendly, professional and efficient. I felt nothing during surgery. Pain afterwards was expected but not as bad as I was dreading. Although expensive it was worth every penny for a painless experience.

Fantastic experience: Great Dr. and staff. Dr. Heitzman took his time and explained everything thoroughly. The staff was knowledgeable and, efficient and polite. The procedure (extracting two teeth) only took about 20 minutes and was pain free.

Negative experience: Nice office , friendly staff , however would not recommend as dose not appear to have confidence in abilities. Had surgery scheduled and did not want to do it in office so had to have surgery set up with hospital Gulf Coast . They according to his office required a physical before surgery. Had to find primary care doctor on short notice and have physical scheduled then they contact me and moved my date up 7 days from Dec 11 to the 4 th . Physical was done and all labs good . Chest X Ray however the new Doctor was not comfortable with so all surgery had to be canceled. Dentures were already paid for and made prior and now had to find competent Surgen to do the extractions and they will not fit dentures from another doctor. But will do the surgery. So lessons learned find a competent Surgen to start with that dose all in-house from consulting to X-rays to in-house dentures and save yourself headaches and money.

Positive experience: Great experience! Quick and painless. Only complaint is no follow up call that day to answer any questions I had after the surgery. I had to call them. Otherwise, very professional.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Heitzman and his staff were incredible!! I was in such a state of panic, fear, and extreme pain upon arriving to my appointment. They were kind, calming, and extremely efficient. Dr Heitzman administered a couple of injections that eased the pain for several hours, which was perfect since his staff rearranged the schedule so I could have my procedure the second day. There are so many practitioners that could take lessons from him and his staff on how to interact with patients who are in pain or simply don’t feel well. Let’s face it as patients we are not necessarily the behaving our best in those moments. Kindness is key! I thank you very much for the excellent communication and care. Deirdre Collier

Completely satisfied with how he explained the procedure and the surgery went smooth with no pain. Post surgery a little normal pain that I imagine is all part of the healing preprocess and unavoidable. I would recommend him to my friends n family for sure.

Negative experience: My 93 year old mother was referred to oral surgeon for tooth abstraction by her dentist. Her dentist had prescribed an antibiotic for an abscessed tooth. It is a major effort to get my mom to an appointment and this one was a complete waste of time. The oral surgeon didn’t even bother to see her. No one looked in her mouth so now I have to get her back to the dentist to see if the infection has cleared. Furthermore, when I made the appointment on the phone I was told that the practice would courtesy file claims for her since they did not take her insurance. My sister was told at the appointment that they would not file for us.

Fantastic experience: I took my husband, who has dementia to Bay Oral and Facial. I was having issues finding help for him. There office worked with what little I had regarding his previous, older dental visits. The Dr., Sam, and office staff were very kind, friendly, understanding and most of all compassionate. They alleviated a lot of my stress.

Negative experience: Well I came for a ulcer to be removed. It was and now my ulcer is 2x as big. And they told me they can't help me anymore. Pretty terrible.

I went for an emergency issue and they were able to give me confidence in making a fully informed decision about what could be done immediately to fix my problem and what other things could be done electively to save me from the impact and cost of additional procedures later. Fantastic experience: I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I was very nervous about having my wisdom teeth removed at 34 years old. Most people said the process was very painful and the recovery time was long, but the exact opposite was my experience with bay oral and facial surgery. All the nurses and dentist were kind, funny and put me at ease. The pain from the surgery was very minimal and the recovery time was only a few days. If you have to get this surgery done, this is the place to do it! I couldn’t be happier with my experience.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this office to anyone. They worked me in and was able to get a bad toothache resolved quickly. I was leaving for a cruise and would've been miserable in pain. Because of their great patient care and compassion I was able to enjoy my anniversary trip pain free. I was surprised how affordable it was, even without insurance.
