Dental Excellence of Parkesburg

Negative experience: The first time I came here the they did X-rays which I asked if they would be covered by my insurance. The receptionist told me yes. They weren’t, I got a bill at the next appointment and when I asked what it was for, the receptionist only said it was a deductible and would not explain further. I was overcharged at this office on more than 1 occasion. They will not refund money until THEY receive a check from the insurance despite receiving the EOB stating they owe a refund and they won’t give a refund if a claim is pending so basically the only way for me to get my refund was to not have another visit until I got a refund check. The front desk receptionist does everything from scheduling appointments, to billing, etc. The actual dentist I saw was lovely but the front desk receptionist was enough for me to leave the practice and go elsewhere. It’s mentioned multiple times in these reviews that people have an issue with the this girl. She is ruining their business with her attitude, lack of customer service, and overcharging customers by charging people before claims go through insurance

Fantastic experience: First let me say I am super afraid of going to the dentist!!! I even put it off for 2 years now cause financially and pain wise I am petrified!! I had two previous dentist’s in the past and they both caused me distress one way or another. The last one kept sending me to an orthodontist because she didn’t extract teeth which caused even more pain and financial cost. So feeling helpless I just stopped going, but after my tooth chipped recently that she fixed I didn’t want to go back to her again so I began to research dentist’s in the area and after asking neighbors and friends they all agreed I should go see Dr. Patel at Dental Excellence in Parkesburg! Let me just say I have found a keeper!! From walking in the front door and being greeted by Lena’s smiling face to Donna giving me the best cleaning and eduction l have ever gotten!! Then meeting Dr. Patel , he was kind, considerate and put my mind at ease by listening to me and explaining my treatment plan thoroughly! I have to say l will never go anywhere else!! Just had crown and 2 fillings done and no lingering pain like other dentist’s! If you’re looking for a new dentist look no further!! Dental Excellence in Parkesburg is where you should go!! Both Drs.Patel and Ruchi are gonna treat you right!! UPDATE: just wanted to add how things are going since I have been going here for a bit and l reiterate again how happy I am with coming here!! Have done two crowns and many fillings and all with no pain unlike at other dentists! They all treat me so well here above and beyond! Please try it for yourself you won’t be sorry! My one and only regret is that I didn’t discover them sooner!! Could of saved time, money and a lot of mental and physical anguish! Next Update: shout out to Jamie, Erik and Lana. Hope l spelled that right! But you all are the backbone of the practice!! You keep the practice running so smoothly! Hey that includes you too Lena! Great seeing everyone today especially Dr. Patel he is still as amazing as ever! And Lena we missed ya so welcome back after your maternity leave and congrats to the new edition of your family!!

Negative experience: Surprise billings, even when you paid with cash and have no dental insurance. I paid cash for a consultation. 10 months later, this office started hounding me for $128. I asked what the charges are for, and got some snarky replies from an front-office-troll that did not even answer my question. I demanded to know what the charges are for, and the conversation abruptly ended. They are sending me multiple notices every day, and I keep asking what the charges are for, with no additional replies. Unprofessional, bad with books, the front office is clearly awful. Avoid this office, competent dentist practices are everywhere, and this is not one of them.

Fantastic experience: The hygienist was out the day that I needed a cleaning and one of the doctors agreed to do it for me, plus filled out my medical clearance for an upcoming knee replacement surgery. The staff was nice and the service was wonderful. In and out efficiently.

Negative experience: I had nothing but good things to say, but I am changing this review when they insisted on x-rays when nothing is wrong! Cleaning doesnt necessitate irradiation! I don't know why they want to x-ray everybody (not patient specific) when absolutely nothing is suspected! I reported no issues with my teeth. Yes, they're reimbursed for x-rays every 6 mos (why we have the lowest life rates), but it is NOT medically necessary (but insanity) just to check and pose such great risk just because you get paid more, unless there is a stated, suspected problem. Go ahead and research PubMed! Thyroid, tumors, meningiomas, cancers... It's s NOT worth the HIGH irradiation risk to pad someone's pocket "because we routinely do it," and that makes it safe??? Its YOUR health, your decision, your body, not theirs! They won't look after your cancer or thyroid! Go ahead and research how dangerous radiation TRULY is! This is a culture way out of line and out of control! This whole medical sales model at the expense of people's health is ridiculous. I had to BLOCK my prior dentist from spam calls & advertising emails! I'm not sick! My other providers "allowed" me to skip irradiation unless something was suspected. NOTICE I SAID "ALLOWED" (as if they own me)? This is a sick system not looking to help anyone by hard evidence. This whole gamut is WAY out of hand! You never "routinely x-ray" any body part! Ever! Breast Cancer is CAUSED BY IRRADIATION! GO AHEAD AND RESEARCH IT! Most won't. The rationale was "because we routinely x-ray everyone!" That has nothing to do with MY cleaning or plan of care. I don't want them, I simply won't get them! Its my right that they wouldnt respect, so left! I have zero problems finding new dentists. Theyre all over the place, spamming, calling, reminding you to see a doctor when you're not sick! I was there for a cleaning, not x-rays, not anything else, and that's only because THEY ASKED ME TO. I thought they were hard up for business, so I thought I would help out. Someone must have lost their mind and too few people said, "NO, ITS NOT WORTH THE RISK! NO x-ray is ever "routine" unless you live in an unlearned, ignorant death cult. Too few people say,, "DONT XRAY ME UNLESS THERES A SUSPECTED ILLNESS; I'M JUST HERE FOR A CLEANING." Doctors shouldn't be ASKING YOU TO COME IN, LIKE THEY DID. NO DENTAL VISIT IS "ROUTINE," THEY JUST HOPE YOULL BUY THE IDEA, BECAUSE NO AMOUNT IS TOO MUCH $$$. I'd never ask my patients to see me if theyre not ill. I try to teach them to never see me because Hospitals and procedures take more lives than never being seen. Go ahead and research it!

Fantastic experience: Had a dental emergency broken tooth. Called them to find out if they could see me on a Friday afternoon of a 3 day holiday weekend. Staff was great, from the time I called until I got home was 80 minutes. Christine got me in, called my insurance to see what was covered,filled out the paperwork, x rays done, loose part of the tooth removed, gave me a referral for an oral surgeon to get the tooth removed. Absolutely fantastic experience.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient with Dr. Rucci and I had a very good visit. She examined my teeth as a base line, found a couple of very small problems and pointed out a couple of areas to monitor. This was followed by a thorough cleaning. I was please with the professionalism fo Dr. Rucci and her staff was very friendly.

Fantastic experience: Its name says it all…Excellence! Staff is very pleasant and professional, ensuring a positive experience. Dr. Trambadia is kind, extremely knowledgeable and has provided excellent dental care anytime I have had an appointment with her. Most recently she ensured that I was offered all options to address an acute issue, made sure I was comfortable with each step of the procedure performed and demonstrated patience as she provided care. I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I am a huge baby when it comes to going to the dentist and have had a difficult time finding the right dentist for me. I really lucked out when I found Dr Ruchi and her team! Lena has been wonderful booking appointments for me that fit my schedule and has fit me it when I have had emergencies! I have found Dr Ruchi to be very patient with me, explaining everything along the way, and always making sure that I am comfortable and feeling no pain. One thing that I really appreciate about her is that she is a perfectionist. My teeth were a mess when I first started seeing her, I used to put my hand over my mouth whenever I laughed, out of embarrassment. Now my teeth look great and I'm smiling all the time!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Trambadia is great with the needle that she needed to use to numb my tooth to prep for a crown. She and her staff are providing me with very professional dental care to catch me up on my dental care that my last dentist was not able to give me.

I will be going back next month for more work on my teeth. I also wanted to add that I had called for an appointment because I broke a tooth. They gave me an appointment for December 2 but then called me back and said they have an opening for 1 o’clock on 26 November. I was so grateful to be able to be seen sooner. thank you for your care

Negative experience: I made an appointment, received reminder texts including one an hour before my appointment time, showed up a few minutes early and the place was closed. Took me days to get ahold of them and they claimed it was an error with their messaging system. I rescheduled. This time they were open but the appointment lasted less than 15 minutes, they polished only a few of my teeth, told me to floss more often even though I floss daily and then sent me on my way. I will not be going back.

Fantastic experience: I had one of the best experiences I have ever had with a dental visit. The hygienist did an awesome job with my cleaning; she was very professional, yet friendly. I feel like I was given a clear path to go forward with for the dental work that was suggested. I didn't feel pressured at all to make another appointment. I was just given options which I appreciated; I felt very confident in making a plan for my dental care.

Negative experience: SCAM SCAM SCAM!!I just received a balance that from a service from 2 years ago, that was paid in full when I left the office. When I had the cleaning done I asked what my cost would be. Not sure that exact amount but I know I paid over 100 dollars for a cleaning on top of insurance! So I just called and I’m being threatened if I don’t pay an additional 93 dollars it will go on my credit! From a service from 2 years ago that was paid in full when I left!! Do not go here! The only good thing from the visit was the hygienist.

Positive experience: The Hygienist was great and I give her 5 stars. The dentist was personable and professional. However, I was looking to get a new partial made and the cost is astronomical. I’ve been quoted $1100, $850, from other dentists, yet, Dental Excellence is asking for $2200. Prices are too high for services. Maybe the Eagles can afford those prices but not people without insurance or senior citizens.

Fantastic experience: I’m one of those people that get nervous just by the idea of going to the dentist, therefore it was no different when I came here. When I was taken back to get checked, my anxiety went away. This establishment has friendly staff that will nicely walk you through everything that will happen and will respond to all your questions in a nice and simple way. They are the type of dentists that I would recommend.

Negative experience: Hygienist is super nice, but this office is incapable of holding an appointment. In 4 years as a patient, they have reached out to reschedule every single appointment. "The dentist has jury duty" is just the latest in a long list of excuses over the years.

Negative experience: Went there once and was told I needed fillings even though no other dentist prior had told me that. Then he waited until my mouth was numb to tell me he was going to fill 3 instead of 2. Felt like a scam. Do not recommend.

Each member of the care team takes the time to explain all details of the care needed and assures the comfort of the individual being treated. Appointment times are honored , insurance and billing details are clear and concise. I highly recommend this practice !

Negative experience: They up-charged me $335 after they took X-rays. They quoted me $3800 for an implant. Then added $335 to that for X-rays, only after taking the X-rays. Also, I didn’t feel safe when I was on the chair, ready to get the implant, so I declined. The dentist didn’t seem competent. It’s dingy and feels like a 2nd world clinic in their building. I feel scammed! :(

Negative experience: If I could give this office 0 stars I would! The girl Lena at the front desk is extremely unfriendly & unprofessional on many occasions!!!!! I got so sick of it that I am transferring to a different dentist… I asked for my medical records and they refused to give them to me until I pay my bill in full. I told the lady I couldn’t afford to pay today but could next week but I needed my records. She hung up on me multiple times. I went into the office to see if I could speak with a Manager which there apparently is none! I asked for my records and she called the cops on me and told them false accusations that I was yelling, and getting very aggressive. NOT TRUE AT ALL. She threatened me and said she will take my bill to collections and she also kept on harassing me with text message links to pay now. I NEVER SAID I WASN'T GOING TO PAY THE BILL… She should be fired for the way she treats patients. And the drs should be ashamed of having her as an employee. It’s such a shame that it had to escalate to the cops to get my medical records.

Fantastic experience: I had a cleaning today and as usual Donna provided a great cleaning experience. She is always so friendly and makes me feel comfortable. The office is super clean and all staff members are extremely professional and have made every visit a positive one.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel and and his expert team provide excellent dental treatment. My recent treatment and cleaning was painless and actually enjoyable. Dr. Patel is an "artist" when it comes to dentistry. He is a fantastic dentist who I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience at this office. My teeth get cleaned better than I’ve had anywhere else. The dentists are friendly, great staff and Donna is fantastic. I even switched my kids over to this office as soon as I could. Love it here!!

Negative experience: Worse experience in ever had drag on and on for months and months cost is ridiculous and get snap on dentures put implants in after months and months and several impressions finally call say they got dentures in go there and they lost them then 6 weeks longer go in again the put them in they won't stay in more than few minutes.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a regular dental cleaning with my dental hygienist Donna. Donna goes over and beyond to make sure I have the best care and her attention to detail is fantastic. My teeth look and feel 100% better after my visit . I highly recommend Donna if you need a good dental cleaning as she truly cares for her patients .

Positive experience: Very hard to get A appointment for people like me who work late. The dentist who fixed my fillings on just the one side was very good and kind. Donna who is the dental hygienist does not have any bedside manner. I felt I was just treated as a number . She was rude to me because my teeth and mouth were very sensitive and needed a deep cleaning. But because I have nerves in my mouth I jumped a few times and she freak out saying she couldn’t work like this. Ask the dentist to numb my whole mouth when it wasn’t necessary.she had used the gel on my gums the time before witch was good but this time she refused to. She left blood on my face didn’t even wipe it off before I left the office. It’s been an awful experience every time I’ve gone. I have had enough.

Fantastic experience: As a first visit, mine was urgent. I was scheduled promptly and professionally. My visit was a pleasant and I was able to be quickly in a chair, X-rayed and attended by Donna and Dr. Trambadia. My experience at this practice was excellent! True to their name. I’m looking forward to working with them in the future!

Fantastic experience: I have extreme anxiety when it comes to dentists. Donna is an excellent hygienist! I was so at ease in her chair. She really cares about the health of your teeth and gums. The front desk is also kind and helpful. As a matter of fact, I have awful insurance and it wasn't accepted here, but I paid out of pocket simply because of their high rating. I was not disappointed and they were worth every cent!!

Fantastic experience: My teeth were really bad before seeing Dr Patel at Dental excellence of Parksburg. He is very knowledgeable with implants and bridges. I would highly recommend seeing him for your dental care. I’m so thankful that he’s my dentist.

Negative experience: "Long story short, I felt robbed after hearing from Dr. Patel that their establishment lost my records for the Invisalign treatment due to a system switch, which is no reason for my treatment to have stopped, especially considering that I paid in full. In conclusion, not even a slight refund was mentioned; otherwise, I would have considered continuing my business with them."

Fantastic experience: I was impressed by the innovative technology that was in the office. Dr. Patel had a lot of confidence in what he practices which was reassuring. He was clear cut in his plan for my teeth and made me feel good about it as well. Donna was also amazing and cared for me and explained my dental health in the best way possible. I was extremely happy with my visit and am confident with the plan they have for me regarding crowns.
