Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here since I was 15 yrs old. I was nervous when Dirk Hagen retired but dr Wilde and dr meadows have been great. I travel from Townsend DE to come to this dental office. I trust them with the care of my teeth.

Fantastic experience: My experience was exceptional! The staff were very courteous. My appointment was at 11:00, I went back for my procedure, and was in my car by 11:20 ready to drive home. It was a pain free experience. It don't get any better than that!

Positive experience: The office staff and the assistant were very nice! That being said, I went there to get relief from 2 toothaches. One has to be seen by an Endodontist but I was not given any relief for the 2nd issue. I was hoping to make this my new practice but I left in a much pain as I went in with so probably not? I mean an xray was taken and some poking around but no actual work was done. I didn't feel like the dentist wanted to fix my issue. I was given antibiotics and some sensitivity gel was applied but then I was sent on my way. It could be that maybe because it is something done by another dentist she wasn't comfortable touching it, but if that's the case, I'm never going to get help. They didn't do anything bad, they just didn't do anything at all.

Negative experience: I have been a patient at this office since I was a child, which makes it especially disappointing to see how much the quality of care has declined over time. I scheduled a routine cleaning months in advance, yet my experience felt rushed and inadequate. My appointment was at 4:00 PM, and I was finished and leaving by 4:15 PM. Within that short time, X-rays were taken and what was described as a “cleaning” was completed in approximately 10 minutes. The cleaning itself did not feel thorough, and it was ultimately performed by the dentist rather than the hygienist. Overall, the visit felt rushed and did not meet the standard of care I have come to expect. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning I will not be recommending this office to anyone either.

Fantastic experience: Been going to Opera House Dental for 40 years. Wouldn’t take my mouth anywhere else! The Hagans were always great, and now Dr. Joe and Dr. Amy are awesome, too. I saw Stephanie for a cleaning yesterday, and learned a few things, too. The folks at the front desk have known us forever, and keep the accounting straight. Everything about Opera House is top-notch!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Joe and staff are awesome! I wish I would have found this practice years ago! Super friendly, fun, great with me and my kids, yet still very professional and informative as well. My youngest was always a bit leery of the dentist and they were always super patient with her. This last visit, however, she really came out of her shell and realized there was nothing to be afraid of and cooperated with everything. She even came home and played dentist with her Barbie dolls. :)

They gave me information and instructions on how they would move forward with my issues. I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in having their own dental needs checked out. They do such a thorough job with cleaning my teeth, and I rarely feel any pain when they're doing it. Not only do the hygienists do their job well, but they also engage in friendly conversation, which (personally speaking) makes my experience at the dentist's office altogether fun and interesting. I would highly recommend Opera House Dental!

Fantastic experience: This was my first appointment at this practice. The waiting area was warm and cozy. The front desk receptionists greeted you with smiles. They were caring,kind and helpful. I was early for my appointment. I was expecting to not be taken back until my appointment time or late like other offices. They took me back prior to my appointment time. The equipment appeared to be up to date,organized and clean! The assistant that had been taking care of me has been there for 35 years! To me that alone speaks Volumes! My dentist was amazing. She was very thorough during my entire appointment. Especially when reviewing my medical history. She explained everything in detail prior to the procedure. It was a very pleasant experience. I never once felt like they were rushed while with me. It's refreshing to know that here I didn't feel like a pay day or just a name on a chart. They even handle billing the insurance for me! This practice is top notch and I feel blessed to have found them!

Positive experience: I arrived 15 minutes early for my 9:30 appoint. I was called back to the treatment area by the chair-side assistant at about 9:40 and placed in the treatment couch. Within minutes we were joined by either the dentist or the hygienist (I wasn't informed which), but she proceeded to clean and scrape my teeth. During my treatment the two women were engaged in a continuous conversation about some situation evolving the son of the assistant. Needless to say, the conversation between the two women made me very nervous and uncomfortable.

Fantastic experience: R U N, don't walk, to this dentist! He is super smart, super nice, and super gentle in his technique. His assistants are also top-notch, working together with Dr. DeSantis to provide.excellent dental health care for us.

Positive experience: Donna was thorough, knowledgeable and did a good job cleaning teeth. Also very personable. She offered to sell me a special fluoride treatment product for $20 and I'd get one free fluoride treatment while there. I did NOT get EITHER. I called when I got home and realized and the staff member ( maryanne? )said I was not charged. I'd better not be!

Positive experience: I was disappointed the last time. Things have changed a lot since the Hagens are not there. My hygienists was a lot more pushy about getting X-rays then I’d prefer, and in general was trying to be kind about what she did see in my son and my teeth…but yet the environment felt too much like we have to follow all the rules. Personally, I still want choice, and kind care.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient since childhood. The staff is very attentive and compassionate. With Dr. Joe on staff, they can do all kinds of procedures including root canals in-house. But they are very busy. So call for an appointment many months ahead.

Negative experience: The quickest most unprofessional customer service I have ever received. Neither person introduced themselves. They carried on a private conversation while working over me. The actual cleaning took under 15 minutes. My past experience for a cleaning have been with a hygienist with a doctor visit/check up. How would I have known the person cleaning my teeth was a dentist?
