Wilson Martino Dental of Fairmont

Negative experience: Not great, been here twice in my life and is by far the most expensive dental practice in the area. Also care was not great and was not listened to, I'm writing this review much later after my last visit. I presented with a very bad tooth ache. Tooth was broken and infected, took the prescribed antibiotics went back for an extraction. I informed the woman dentist that was going to perform the procedure I'm very resistant to local anesthetic and that they would need to use a fair amount. Was injected twice and still felt alot of pain so she gave up and told me to take more antibiotics. So I left called Mcbee, a place I never been, and they were able to remove the tooth the same day.

Fantastic experience: Great staff, very friendly and welcoming. It's the only dentist I will go to. I had 12 teeth extracted today and it was the most pleasant experience I have ever had at a dentist. They numb you up really good and even when they do that you can't feel it. Only a very small pinch if you do. Thank you Wilson Martino for everything you guys are the best!

Negative experience: I came into to get a root canal done when almost an entire file was broke off in my tooth. When it happened I was the last know. The dentist doing the work just stopped what he was doing and walked away and then two other dentist came in and looked and then was sent a referral to go get the root canal finished and the file taken out. Before the referral was sent the dentist doing the work said all cost would be taken care of and that he was extremely sorry and prescribed me pain medication and antibiotics. I came to get the mistake fixed and they explained the cost to me and I was completely confused so when I go to the dentist that messed up my tooth I was meet with a rude manager of the Fairmont office and was told she would have to call their corporate office and she would call me back and that never happen. It was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at any dentist office in my life

Positive experience: The cleaning went well but what I heard afterwards was upsetting. Before the lady started cleaning my teeth I had some questions like what procedure was she going to take to make sure she didn't ignite my oxygen tank. I also asked some other questions. My caregiver was waiting in the waiting room and overheard one of the receptionist say to another one that I ask a lot of questions and said she would hate to be the person in the room with me. My opinion is....it is MY RIGHT to ask a lot of questions. I wanted to make sure that whatever tools the hygienist was using wasn't going to ignite my oxygen tank because if it did I would be the one with flames going in my mouth, throat and lungs. I ask questions for my safety and everyone else around me.

Fantastic experience: The appointment was my wife’s !!! I will tell you this, my wife (Carrie Vanscoy) was in so much pain, she couldn’t sleep and couldn’t eat !!’ Most of the local Dentists wouldn’t even see.her !!! The Dentist on Country Club Road took her in and said that they needed to be extracted and she couldn’t do it !!! I started calling around again and Wilson Martino Dentristy in Fairmont took her right in and Dr. Cicchino was very great with my Wife and she was very happy with the outcome getting the 2 teeth pulled !!! Thank you all for your support, help, and Love ❤️ that all employees and her Doctor !!!

Fantastic experience: Well it's time for my review. Dr Kassar and the other Wilson Martino staff are phenomenal people all around. I was nervous at first back in June when I made the first call, even more nervous my first visit. The staff is super friendly and will accommodate your needs, i.e laughing gas whatever. About 8 months in total, i have no pain and I have my smile back. I couldn't be more happier.

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extracted today in Fairmont WV office. I had excellent care. The staff and dentist were very caring and very attentive to my needs and comfort before, during, and after the extraction. Wonderful dentist and staff. I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: All of the doctors, staff, and students at Wilson-Martino are above top notch in all areas! Today my son, 17, went in to have a tooth extracted and requested Nitrous (laughing gas) to take the edge off of the unknown. Having a less than pleasurable reaction, my son had a major panic attack and requested other treatment options. Together we formed a new treatment plan to have the tooth removed. Nobody made my son feel inferior or judged him for being so worked up. I will always appreciate the excellent treatment my whole family receives from Wilson-Martino -they REALLY DO CATER TO COWARDS!

Fantastic experience: I was scheduled for 7:30am for a fitting for dentures. My gag reflex kind of interrupted but we got them done. Great Place. I recommend it to everyone

Fantastic experience: I had a reaction to an antibiotic as a kid, that cause me to have browning areas on my front teeth that I have been self conscious about all my life. Well today Dr. Syed at Wilson Martino of Fairmont gave me my confidence back. They look amazing and I can’t be happier!

Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment here for my boyfriend because he chipped his tooth and it was hurting. He goes into the first appointment, sits for about an hour waiting, goes back and he said several of the workers told him they were gonna do different things to fix his tooth. His whole appointment was about 3 hours for a small chipped tooth that they said did not need fixed, but proceeded to fix it and charge more than they said they would before the appointment. THAT NIGHT the fixed tooth broke again, where they “fixed” it. He called and had another appointment scheduled. He called to see what time and they gave him one time, then messaged him later that evening a completely different time. I called the next day to confirm which time was right, and I told him. He then received another message stating a different time than the one I was given by the front desk lady. Not to mention, she was very rude and seemed like me asking for the time was an inconvenience to her day. Customer service is not great at all, and he did not feel comfortable or like they took him seriously in there.

Fantastic experience: We have been going here for years. My kids love the staff. My son was so scared to go to the dentist and because of the wonderful staff he loves the dentist

Negative experience: Had to have a crown in two teeth starting in November. So the whole time I am getting a root canal at other dentist and paying over two grand I am thinking I am getting both my teeth fixed. Then when I show up and pay I am told I am getting one fixed. And had to wait forty minutes past my appointment time. Not highly recommended from me. Waste of time and money. All they want here is your money. That’s all they talked about. Not how my teeth were doing.

Fantastic experience: The whole experience was more like visiting an old friend, than”going to the dentist”, lol. So happy I chose these people to help my Mom! She is elderly, and not too eager to receive dental care. Dr. Martino and the staff were 110% top notch! They were eager to help, and took extra time to help her through every step of the process without rushing. She was ecstatic with the service from beginning to end. Bravo guys…..Bravo!

Negative experience: My wife was referred by VAMC/Clarksburg Community Cares for her dental care. Both of us have been "looking" for good dentistry for a while. This one was another "fail." First, the wife was given a tablet with a long electronic questionnaire. This tablet had small typefonts and a tiny keyboard, and for a vet with PTSD, or for those with visual impairent, or for those with a need for a real QWERTY keyboard, this is a no-no. The desk person was unfriendly and uncaring, and did not accommodate her direct request for help with the tablet app. A second desk person finally decided to offer some help, but it was too late. We have but one chance to make a first impression. It went poorly. As a result, this clinic lost two potential clients. We won't be back. Ever.

They really do cater to cowards, and I can't recommend them enough to anyone who is looking for pain free dental work !

Fantastic experience: Every person that works in that building is great. I have had a few problems (not with them directly) 1) I was running 10 min late, I called and they said it was fine. 2) Today I went in, the card they gave me said the time was 2:50. I got there and they said I was scheduled for 2:30. I'm not one for conflict so I started to reschedule my appt and apologize, while pulling out my card that read my appt was 2:50, and I was late before and I'm sure after being late or not appearing something happens so I just wanted to show the lady I was sorry and that I promise I'm late because of what my card said. She talked to a lady who said I might not be able to make the appt today (no big deal I have one in 2 days as well) that lady went back and asked the Dr and told him how my card DID say 2:50 so it was a computer malfunction, and they had me in the chair within 15 mins. This man was working on me, and multiple other people. I forgot to get his name, but he was working like a pro on at LEAST 2 others patients (maybe more) and me. He was very busy and I was "technically" late, the fact he still said he will see me shows who he is as a dentist. He was very informative along with the rest of the staff. This is my 4th or 5th visit. I first went in just for like an exam/x rays and stuff. I have had 2 teeth removed at once, and we're working on fillings and stuff now. It does seem they could sue more staff that man was working very hard and same for the assistant (I only saw like 2 assistants though) TL;DR: The staff is beyond wonderful. The dentists, assistants, even front desk. I've had 2 dentists in all the sessions I went to, but they are wonderful, and they make sure you are comfortable as a patient. I would recommend this to anyone with any teeth problems.

Negative experience: My daughter (5 at the time) had an appointment before she started school. They sent my husband home with a paper saying she has 0 cavities and everything looked great. A month later we're informed she has a severe cavity and an appointment has been made for a root canal ! We went to the elkins location today and had things checked and lo and behold. No cavities and absolutely does not need a root canal. Absolutely ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: Satisfied with the office, the lab was a little slow repairing a brand new plate, took 3 weeks and office was slow getting my plate back to me, took a week. The plate is really great, new technology makes a big difference

Negative experience: Waiting until I leave to tell me my insurance isn’t in network. Rude. Will not be going back… when I asked and told what my insurance was they stated it was in network… but once getting ready to leave was told my insurance wasn’t and needed to pay lump some..

Fantastic experience: With my old dentist, I had to be sedated just to walk through the door. Not so here. These people are the best! Dr. Syed, Brooke, Alyvia. They take great care of me, and make me feel like I’m their favorite patient. I just call Michelle, and she’s got everything taken care of for me. Who would have guessed I’d say I love my dentist office?

Fantastic experience: Words could probably never as adequately express just how pleased I was with our visit! The staff are all super friendly, kind and not only worked very well with my children but were also so understanding of a curious toddler. Our dentist was outstanding, very easy to talk to and made me feel so comfortable when it came to treatment for my child. We also felt no judgment the entire time we were there which I feel is rare anymore! Due to a story I’ll spare about our previous dentist, I can also say with great certainty that the staff and dentists at Wilson Martino are honest and genuinely care about their clients dental health and not the money that can be made off of unnecessary procedures. Picking them to be our children’s dentist was the best choice I could have ever made, I just wish I had made it sooner!!!

Fantastic experience: Had a molar that I had filled in Nov and the doctor said she had to drill pretty deep . Almost to the nerve to fill it. 2 days ago it started really hurting. Got in today at 2p and she said it would need a root canal. I said no way. Take it out. So after prying and pulling for a good 20-25 mins. She finally got it. She's great !

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment today with Brooke for a cleaning. She is always so kind and gentle while cleaning my teeth. She always addresses any concerns and makes sure there is a plan of action in place for prevention of future problems. The staff is always so kind and greets me when I walk in. My anxiety is always at ease when I go to Wilson Martino. That is a big deal for me because I’ve had a bad experience in the past, at another Dental facility. My kids are also patients and they’re wonderful with them! I highly recommend Wilson Martino of Fairmont for your dental care.

Fantastic experience: Went in on Monday for a tooth that had been bothering me for several months, that no other dentist in my area would bother with.Wilson martinos staff worked to get me in quickly. They had it and another one taken out by Thursday. Not only did they take care of my teeth but they listened when i spoke, made eye contact with me, and didn't patronize me for not speaking correct tooth terms. Highly recommended, over any dentist that accepts medicaid in Fairmont.
