Fantastic experience: Dr. James Sikorski has been my dentist for over 30 years; a more personable, skillful, gentle, knowledgeable and welcoming doctor will be hard to come by. Karen, his assistant, has been right there with him creating an atmosphere where, frankly, it was pleasure to go to the dentist. I wish them the very best in retirement. You will both be missed!

Negative experience: Changed my former 5 star to 1 star...I and my wife have been going to Dr. Sikorski/Wangstrom for about 12 years. I wish them well in their retirement, but they had an ethical duty to warn their patients. It took a long time to schedule my recent cleaning as the prior hygienists were suddenly gone. I can only assume they refused to go along with the new program on ethical grounds. So I arrive for my cleaning and find out Drs Sikorski and Wangstrom are no longer practicing, but are present a couple days a week as to transition the new corporation into the people's mind. Cleaning went fine, then entered ""Dr C. I was told I need "two tiny cavities filled" and some crowns. I go to check out and they want to schedule the crowns and the fillings with ""Dr C. I said I'll wait on the crowns I don't need. I return for my "tiny fillings" a few days later. After the novocaine wore off I was in terrible pain. I waited a couple days, hoping it would go away, as I never experienced pain after a filling. It got worse. They said I needed a root canal because Dr C didn't apply a medication into the tooth before installing a temp filling, but instead installed a permanent filling, and drilled down to my foot(sarcasm). The woman that works the desk told me she would forward the referral to the oral surgeon, but needed to schedule a permanent filling and crown after the root canal. I told her Dr C would not be performing any more procedures on me. I arrived for my root canal at the Oral Surgeon to find that they never sent a referral, to be spiteful. Thankfully the oral surgeon and my insurance didn't need a referral, and the skilled surgeon was able to tell by the horrible patchwork Dr C performed, which tooth he intentionally botched. If you choose to go here, make sure you triple your coverage amounts with your insurance company because you're getting work done whether you need it or not! Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining! P.S. Thanks to the fake and phoney woman that said she would send the referral to the oral surgeon! *Karma is always on time!

Negative experience: Hard pass. I dismissed their other recent one star review and maybe I shouldn’t have. Had to literally get out of the chair and walk out. Something is up with this place. First visit was made for a cleaning and to look at prior work I wanted redone. Cleaning never happened and never spoken about since, they went right to where the money was. When I asked for the cost breakdown I was told their system was down and they’d get back to me. Never happened until I called asking, but nothing in writing. We did agree that the work was to be done in two visits. Today, I was told it was going to be done in 4 visits instead. No reason, but the second I challenged it, we were magically back to two visits. Is this in an effort to bill more? I didn’t wait around to find out. Regardless, my cleaning was completely disregarded, billing was unclear, agreed procedure changed without my knowledge and my “benefits”, meaning my costs started to be discussed while I was literally in the chair. Not sure if this is all gross incompetence or some kind of scam or a combination of the two. Already in touch with my insurance company to see what’s been or will be billed. I will absolutely challenge all of it. Try me. What a circus

Fantastic experience: I have difficulty with going to the dentist so when I called I was nervous but in need of an emergency visit. Breanna was so kind on the phone and was able to fit me in same day. The nurse and Dr C were so kind and helped to calm my anxiety. The entire team was great. I don’t normally leave reviews but this team were so kind I want others with anxiety to know they are gentle and understanding.

I had not seen a dentist in a long time and after calling several offices who wouldn’t see me for several months Upper Deerfield Dental was able to fit me into what seemed to be a pretty tight schedule, and I can see why. My procedure was quick and painless. The doctor was incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable. The manager was SUPER helpful explaining all of my insurance benefits and how that all works which was never done for me before, so that was cool. I absolutely recommend this practice for anyone looking for a new dentist in the area!

I have been pushing off going to the dentist for quite some time now and finally bit the bullet to make the appointment and start taking care of myself and my teeth more! I first spoke with Laura when setting everything up who was so kind and professional on the phone and already made me feel calmer about everything. There was no judgement in what she was saying to me at all! Then I had my first appointment on the 23rd and wound up not seeing the doctor yet and solely working with Kristen so far and I can’t enough more positive things about her and the experience so far! She really took her time to talk me through everything that she would be doing that day and at my next appointments coming up, she took her time to care for me and my teeth and make sure I was okay through it the whole appointment. She didn’t judge me at all which is something I was always so nervous about and even reassured me that the negative thoughts I was having were just that; negative thoughts and I didn’t have to have those fears! She even took the time to call and check in on me today and that honestly made the whole experience so much better. I feel like she truly cares and that alone (plus actually liking my teeth already) is making me happy and excited to keep my appointments and continue caring about my teeth!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here ever since I could remember. It wasn’t until later on in life and after a traumatic accident to my teeth that I really started to appreciate my dentist personally. Dr. Wangstrom is my hero for the extensive work and care she has done to my teeth. I had to get two permanent crowns on my front teeth and though the procedure was nerve wracking, Dr. Wangstrom really made me feel at ease during a very difficult time in my life. I’ll never forget the day I got my permanent crowns and the first stranger I smiled at complimented me. Dr. Wangstrom did a fantastic job. It was like an artist sculpting marble. Also come for regular cleanings and my new hygienist Michelle is awesome! She was by far the most thorough hygienist I’ve had and very knowledgeable. Always love interacting with the lady’s at the receptionist desk as well! Dr. Sikorski isn’t my dentist but I’ve had him examine my teeth after a cleaning a few times and just wanted to shout him out as well. He’s just a really cool guy overall and very respectful. I work in the medical field and I can spot the difference between those who go the extra mile for their patients vs those who don’t take a personal approach to it. I’m happy to say there are two dentists here that go far beyond expectations. Thanks again and I’ll be seeing you soon!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Upper Deerfield Dental since I was a child. I recently moved hours away and still commute for my dental care because they are just THAT good. He takes his time to explain every step of the procedure as you go, checks in with you every few minutes to ensure you’re not in pain, and is genuinely the most patient and kind care provider I’ve ever had. Not to mention his front desk staff is so understanding to try to lump appointments/procedures together to make my travel time worth it. Dawn, who works the front desk is always so friendly and helpful, she assisted me in a dental emergency and offered so much support and advice to ensure I got the care necessary to help my situation. I cannot express my gratitude for their patience and understanding, from explaining insurance policies/expectations of pricing and procedures, flexibility with scheduling and fitting me in, and overall easing all of my anxiety (that I’m sure we all have when going to the dentist)!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough positive things about this dental office! I made a dental cleaning appointment, at Upper Deerfield Dental Center, specifically for the dental hygienist, Kristen. I met her one time, last year, at my regular dentist office, while she was on a temp contract. I just adored her, instantly. Second to her excellent hygienist skills, her bedside manner is unmatched. She's non-judgmental, friendly, compassionate, and wants her patients to feel satisfied afterward. You immediately know she's kind, sincere, and genuine. After meeting her, I was so impressed with my dental cleaning, I just had to ask her where she was planning to work permanently. At the time, she was just hired at Upper Deerfield Dental Center. Fast forward a year, I made an appointment for a dental cleaning at Upper Deerfield. Not only was this office almost an hour away from my home, but I also didn't think the office was "in-network" on my insurance, so I planned to pay out of pocket, for my cleaning. Yes, Kristen is that good! After filling out the new patient paperwork, Laura, at the front desk, went out of her way to contact my dental insurance company, to check for any coverage or discounts, anyway. She spent time on hold, waiting to speak to an agent, and after finally reaching a human being, it turns out, they are in my network, and my dental insurance covered all of my routine services! I didn't have to spend a dime, out of pocket, for my cleaning. In addition, Kristen and the office staff squeezed me in (going into their lunch breaks) to take my annual X-rays, even though I was only scheduled for a cleaning appointment. After my cleaning and X-rays, I met with Dr. Wangstrom. Just like Kristen and Laura, she is a highly skilled, knowledgable, and compassionate dentist. She checked my X-rays, and all my teeth, then formulated a reasonable and timely plan to treat my dental issues, including some minor cosmetic concerns I've had for years. She's an excellent, trustworthy dentist. Overall, if you are looking for a dental office that feels like home, with knowledgable dentists and professional office staff, who put integrity and compassion highest on their priority lists, Upper Deerfield Dental Center is the place to go. I can't wait for my next appointment, and I never thought I'd say those words about going to the dentist.
