Fantastic experience: As someone with severe dental anxiety, I arrived in tears because I was terrified of a broken tooth, even though I wasn’t in any pain. From the moment I called, Brittany at the front desk immediately put me at ease. She was warm, professional, and incredibly reassuring before I even stepped through the door. The entire office is made up of an amazing team of women who genuinely care about their patients. I don’t remember the name of the wonderful assistant who brought me back (or the assistant she was training), but she made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. She explained everything thoroughly, encouraged me throughout the visit, and stayed by my side until the very end. During my appointment, I had 10+ X-rays, a comprehensive exam, periodontal treatment, a cleaning, a fluoride treatment, and received a complete treatment plan for future visits, including scheduling an appointment to address my broken tooth. Every part of the experience was completely painless. They ensured I was fully numb, gave me as many breaks as I needed, and even provided a blanket to help me feel more relaxed. My hygienist, Lauren, was absolutely incredible. She kept me laughing, made me feel genuinely cared for, and focused on education instead of judgment. She took the time to explain everything in a way that made me feel informed and empowered rather than embarrassed. I will absolutely be requesting her for future appointments. These women are a direct reflection of Dr. Jennifer Wallace and the welcoming, compassionate environment she has created. As a healthcare professional myself, I firmly believe that a well-informed patient is a confident patient, and the team at Palmetto Smiles of Beaufort embodies that philosophy perfectly. If you’ve been avoiding the dentist because of fear or anxiety, I can’t recommend this office enough. They didn’t just treat my teeth…they restored my confidence in going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I am a patient of theirs and I chipped my tooth the night before. I called them in a complete panic the next morning and they were immediately able to squeeze me in. I had really bad anxiety and they were so sweet and kind. They explained everything they were going to be doing, gave me the numbing shot, and it wasn’t so bad. I have to reschedule to go back and get a cap put on it but for now they shaved it down so it wasn’t so sharp because it was cutting me tongue. I really appreciate what they did for me. They were nothing short of professional, kind, and helpful at a time where I was scared and vulnerable. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: I'm trying to be humble here but I had a fantastic experience meeting everyone at palmetto smiles. It is certainly not your typical dentist office. I was giving a tour of the facility and introduced to everyone. Believe it or not they have a comfort menu if you want a blanket or a pillow or a drink they will be more than happy to provide that free of charge. Absolutely amazing if I could make it 10 stars I would do so.

Negative experience: I went to Dr Wallace for help with my smile and slight redness around my gums. I chose her and the practice because of her website and the trust I built with her during consultation however it was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. Unfortunately, not only did my problems get worse I’ve had extreme pain for the last three years after she placed crowns. No one responded positively to me or with legitimate solutions. I felt like they truly didn’t care about my health or what I was experiencing. It was more about financial gain and I was just a number. I recommend truly doing your research before going to this practice for anything other than GENERAL care. I’ve truly cried and felt so ashamed of my smile since going here and having cosmetic work

Fantastic experience: It's never fun to go to the dentist but this was a very good experience. I was put at ease and had a consult about an issue that needs attention. Everyone was knowledgeable and all was explained about my next step for treatment. I left hopeful it would be resolved.

Fantastic experience: So happy that I was referred to Palmetto Smiles of Beaufort! Megan, my hygienist was so thorough and Doctor Wallace made me feel like I had been a patient for years! She discussed options, wasn’t pushy about how to proceed and made me feel so comfortable. Crown work is needed and I was blown away that they invested in the equipment to complete a crown procedure during one visit versus weeks of waiting! That was a game changer for me whose schedule is busy. I loved the attention to detail and would recommend the group to anyone asking!

Negative experience: BEWARE ! They are scamming people ! There are two different business names being run by the same dentist in this building and depending on which phone number you call is what name you will get an appointment with . Was referred by a coworker to go here called and scheduled the appointment was never informed by the person on the phone that my insurance was not in network (I was under the impression that it was because of the coworker referral). Proceeded to call and find out why I paid so much when my insurance should have covered the appointment to find out that there are the two businesses and I wasn’t informed of the insurance being out of network for the one because they didn’t wanna turn down the business even though it is the same business !

Negative experience: My co-worker recommended Beaufort Smiles to me and said she had a great experience. When you Google Beaufort Smiles it says the business is permanently closed. Palmetto Smiles of Beaufort showed it was the same location, so I called/emailed letting them know that my co-worker recommended the office to me and gave them my insurance information. I was required to pay a deposit to make the cleaning appointment (which my insurance covers 2 of in full per year). Weeks later I checked my insurance and noticed that I was billed as out-of-network. I called the office to see what the issue was (my co-worker was billed as in-network for the same service, in the same building, by the same dentist). I was told by Britany that I was confused because I went to Palmetto Smiles of Beaufort and not Beaufort Smiles, same owner, same building, same doctor in fact, but because my appointment was through palmetto smiles I was out of network. I asked why I wasn't told/informed of this when booking the appointment and was told "that would chase away business". This office also refuses to submit anything to insurance companies for pre-approval and tells patients they wont know the out of pocket cost until the procedure is done. My other co-workers also started seeing this dentist and have had the same issue. Seems like the patients are not the top priority here and its all about the money. Don't waste your time at this establishment.

Fantastic experience: Palmetto Smiles of Beaufort is exceptional! I’ve always had dental anxiety and usually expect the worst—uncomfortable chairs, medical smells, and that uneasy feeling. But this visit was the complete opposite—it honestly felt more like a dental resort. The whole team was so welcoming and even gave me a tour of the office. I had my own hygienist, Tiffany, who did my first consult and cleaning, and she’ll be my regular hygienist going forward. She was wonderful! Dr. Jennifer Wallace was warm, easy to talk to, and looks at dental health from a whole-body perspective. She really listened, reviewed my history, and helped set long-term goals for my care. For the first time, I’m actually looking forward to my next appointment. That says it all. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wallace was able to see me with short notice, I had a sudden tooth ache, they took ex-rays, examined my molar and Luckily there wasn’t any infection. They referred me to an endodontist as I will likely need a root canal. I highly recommend palmetto smiles and their staff of professionals to anyone who needs dental work in the Beaufort Area.

These people are super nice which to a New Yorker can seem kind of creepy at first like they're trying to scam you or trying to pick your pocket or something. But they're not ! They really are nice people who run an extremely professional office . I'm telling you it takes a little getting used to, but I'm starting to like it A LOT. Fantastic experience: From the first time we stepped foot in the office which by the way has a very relaxed and professional vibe. We were surrounded by kind and professional people. We are new to this area and felt very welcome here. We were traveling out of state we had several questions about our insurance coverage and are far away from our regular doctors and dentist. As you can imagine this makes for an uneasy first visit to the dentist office but not here everyone from office personnel to the dentist treated us with TLC and respect. We will make a special trip to come here again. Update: Anytime we visit Beaufort. Positive experience: Very sweet and pleasant staff. Only suggestions would be to put a glue ring under toilet,maybe a grab bar and outside of autoclave is pretty grungy looking. Otherwise have zero complaints
