Fantastic experience: We love it here!! My 2.5 year old LOVES going to the dentist — I think that says it all! They are very caring and gentle and make it fun! TVs during cleaning, a sweet dog mascot, AND prizes don’t hurt either

It’s was my sons first visit and even though he did great they were still amazing with him and very patient with us and while I filled out paper work they helped with my son to keep him occupied. They were so great that my 4 year old daughter didn’t cry and she has cried at every dentist appointment (we were at a different dentist office prior to this one). Staff is friendly and welcoming! Definitely recommend taking your child and or children here!

Fantastic experience: I wish there were more stars to give! Dr. Spivey & her team have went above and beyond with my son Chaz. He is severely Autistic along with some other issues & when he aged out of pediatrics we were left with nowhere to go. For a couple years we struggled to find someone to treat him because he needs full sedation to be treated. We were connected with Dr. Spivey and she agreed to treat him & take care of the issues he had & help us find a dentist that will be suitable for Chaz’s needs going forward. I can’t thank her enough! So kind & caring. We need more Dr. Spivey’s in the world!!!

Going to the dentist can be scary for little ones, but this team has an absolute magic touch. The entire staff is incredibly warm, patient, and skilled at explaining things on a kid’s level. They went above and beyond to make my kiddos feel safe, happy, and like the most important patient in the room. We left with bright smiles and zero tears! I’m so grateful to have found a place that makes dental health such a positive experience. Highly, highly recommend! ❤️

Fantastic experience: This was our second visit to LKN Pediatric Dentistry and it was just as fantastic as our first time there. Our two sons feel so at ease and relaxed when they're there. The staff are so friendly and approachable. If your kids are nervous or reluctant (like even most adults are) about visiting the dentist, this is the place to bring them.

Fantastic experience: This clinic is phenomenal. My daughter has major anxiety issues because of a bad experience at another dental office. Dr. Spivey and her team are kind, patient and empathetic. Slowly, my daughter is building up trust and confidence at the dentist again. They did not put any pressure on her and actually took the time to discuss what was going to happen at the next appointment, including showing her what the panoramic x-ray looks like. I am so grateful for this team and the kindness and compassion. They are showing her.

Negative experience: I called to book an appointment for my child, and the first thing I was asked about was immunization status. Since my child is not immunized — and we have a religious exemption under North Carolina law (N.C.G.S. § 130A-157) — I was told they would not see him. Despite this, the clinic refused to consider any options and denied care. It feels like you have to meet a very specific set of requirements just to be accepted as a patient. While I understand this may be their policy, it still leaves the impression of discrimination. At this point, it makes you wonder what other requirements might come next. Best of luck with that approach.

Fantastic experience: My daughter chipped her tooth on the playground and the office was wonderful on getting her in quickly and relieving her anxiety. Sarah was so helpful with getting everything taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Harlan is absolutely AMAZING!!!! Our little guy was very nervous and to be honest so was I, but Dr. Harlan definitely reassured us both and calmed our nervousness at the appointment. We are scheduled for another appointment in 3 weeks and I was dreading having to take him back but after visit one our brave little guy is not at all nervous because Dr. Harlan was patient, compassionate and overall nice. Thank you again Dr. Harlan for making the dentist and dental appointments not scary for this nervous Mom and her little guy.

My oldest (4 years old) has some dentist anxiety, and they were so playful and accommodating that she felt completely comfortable and actually loved it. They were wonderful with my 18-month-old as well, and the baby room was such a thoughtful touch. The office dog was an added bonus! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We have been coming to Lake Norman Pediatric Dentistry since my youngest was 3. They have been great. My son needed several cavities filled and two crowns and I was pleased with how they took care of my little guy.

Fantastic experience: Both of my boys have been patients here, and every visit has been exceptional. The staff is incredibly caring and always finds a way to make young children feel calm, comfortable, and ready for their procedures. Recently, my 4-year-old knocked out two teeth, and the removal went unbelievably smoothly. I was so nervous after hearing horror stories about kids refusing to cooperate during dental procedures — but our experience was the complete opposite. Afterwards, I asked my son if he cried or felt any pain, and he said no to both! We’ve seen Dr. Taylor most of the time, and she’s absolutely wonderful. She has a personal touch with the kids, remembers their names, and truly cares about them. I’m so grateful for the level of kindness and professionalism we’ve received from the entire team.

Fantastic experience: I have never experienced anything like this. My son is 4 and severally autistic and getting him to open his mouth on command is impossible - I was so nervous about his appointment today but this place is incredible! I am excited for my other boys upcoming appointment here. Every staff member was absolutely INCREDIBLE.. and it was SO clean!! I would drive a very long way to come here. Just speechless!! Don’t waste your time thinking about bringing your kids, just do it… I promise you won’t regret it!

My son fell and caused trauma to his front teeth, he was seen right away and has been for a follow-up visit, he has also had cleanings done there. The staff are kind, gentle, patient and thorough. Fantastic experience: So many wonderful people here! They always make you feel so very comfortable. The kids love going. Just recently my kid took a chunk off his front tooth over the weekend and they were able to get him in right away on Monday morning. The tooth looks absolutely back to normal and matched his tooth color perfectly. They are great!!

Fantastic experience: Love love love. My son is not the best rusher, and we don't have fluoride in our water. Dr. Spivey helped us get his cavities under control and I absolutely love how they treat my 8-year-old like he is an adult, getting him used to coming back for treatment by himself. Everyone here is super nice and I highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough of how great Lake Norman Pediatric’s is! Clean office, friendly staff, and great with kids! My favorite thing is how comfortable and relaxed they make the kids feel. Also, added bonus they have a golden doodle that can help calm the patients when feeling anxious.

Fantastic experience: We come in from Mooresville even though there are closer options because this office is wonderful! Our older son is Spanish/English bilingual and Dr. Taylor totally rolls with it and speaks to him in both, which makes him even more comfortable. Our younger kiddo had his first dentist visit today and although he was somewhat grumpy (that's just generally his personality), the whole team did great working with him. I never felt bad as he had a meltdown or a blowout diaper halfway through. The whole space is super kid friendly and both boys got coins for a toy of their choice at the end. They also have a welcome board in the front for all new patients of the month - it's just super cute and such a nice way to make families feel welcome. I'll happily keep making the drive every few months.

Fantastic experience: Took my three girls in and they were cleaned at the same time with the hygienist being very sweet to all. Dr. Taylor was fantastic, personable and understanding they are kids so they are not going to be perfect. Made suggestions in a kind manner and made all the girls feel comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Our experience at Lake Norman Pediatric Dentistry was and is outstanding. My three year old son was greeted with his name on a sign by the front door, welcoming him and while we waited to be seen they changed the movie playing in the waiting room to my sons favorite movie, Cars. We were treated with one on one personal care with everyone taking the time to get to know us. The dental hygienist brought my son a helium balloon tied to a cute rubber ducky, a pair of sunglasses, a trip to a treasure machine, and we even got to love on their adorable golden doodle, Otter, that hangs around the office. My son was loving every second! Dr.Spivey did a wonderful job of speaking well to my son and guiding us through the appointment. We fully support this practice and will continue to take our children here!

Not only am I impressed as a Mom but also as a dental hygienist for 14 years. The office is clean, fun, and non invasive. I don't get the "salesman" vibe like other offices I've been at. Everyone was so kind and engaging with her, the office environment was very relaxed and the techs and dentist were wonderful with my grumpy wiggly girl. They really made the whole visit relaxed and comfortable for both her and I and I’m so glad we found this practice!

Fantastic experience: I can’t imagine taking my kids anywhere else but here. Dr. Spivey calmed my own anxiety about the dentist that I prayed my kids would not have and she did incredible with them. We have seen Dr. Taylor the last couple of times and wow, talk about two humans created to work with children! Dr. Taylor was able to calm my 5 year old and take care of two fillings without him realizing a single thing. The staff is so incredibly caring to the kids, but also to the parents! It’s amazing to have kiddos not scared to go to the dentist. Huge thanks to this entire staff and grateful for the fun environment where kids get small prizes at the end. We love you all!!

Fantastic experience: My very anxious 12 yr old had a filling here today- his first one without a Valium. The staff was super patient with him, even when he tried to negotiate about the numbing shots. Also, I called to change the time of our appointment so he wouldn’t miss school but I neglected to change the time on the family calendar- they were gracious enough to fit us in anyway. Very thankful!!!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this dental office. My children have dental anxiety and they’re really making progress as patients of Dr. Spivey. Today Dr. Spivey was able to squeeze my daughter in for a problem focused appointment and this was my 6 year old’s first time allowing treatment without me present and being such a trooper, but it was due to Dr. Spivey encouraging her along the way. I think she’s on her way to being cured of her dental anxiety now and all thanks to Lake Norman Pediatric Dentistry. Patient, caring, competent, and extremely supportive staff is what I’ve experience since we became patients here almost a year ago. Couldn’t ask for a better practice to care for my children.
