Negative experience: I normally would not have left a review, but after a public social media post was made about my visit, I feel the need to share my experience. During our appointment, I was informed that I would not be allowed to accompany my minor child into the treatment room. I would need to stay in the waiting room or in a chair behind a wall. I explained that this policy would not be a good fit for our family and asked to cancel the appointments and seek care elsewhere. What was disappointing was being told that no other dental offices allow parents back with their children, which has not been my experience in the past. I also believe this policy should be clearly communicated to new patients before appointments are scheduled, especially when families may wait months to be seen. I had no intention of posting publicly about the situation until the dentist made a public post that I felt misrepresented the interaction and implied I was combative, which was simply not true. Parents deserve to know office policies ahead of time so they can make informed decisions for their children’s care. If a patient isn't a good fit for the office there is no need to publicly shame them. That's very unprofessional and unethical. This raises a lot of concerns about how my patient information is currently being used from this office.

Fantastic experience: The hygienist and dentist here are so professional and friendly. I didn’t realize how important it was to have a dentist you could trust to have your best interest at heart and not just monetary gain. I would recommend this office every time for any service.

Fantastic experience: This was my initial appointment. I was pleased with the intake procedure. I felt that it was thorough and asked relevant questions. It was not burdensome. I did not have to wait long to be called back. The dental hygienist, Kallie, was welcoming, thorough, conversational and obviously quite competent. One of the most positive moments I had at your clinic was when Kallie volunteered to me that she had read the dental record that I brought in from my former dentist who had moved to San Antonio, TX. I felt cared for. Thank you Kallie.and staff.

Positive experience: Great, friendly, and knowledgeable staff! Been coming here for 10+ years. Would be 5 stars if for certain they will not be dropping our insurance carrier. My Wife has already had to change insurance carriers but at least her employer had different choices. My employer has one choice. It is currently being considered to be dropped by Dr. Montgomery's office. Hopefully they will reconsider so I can remain a patient.

Fantastic experience: Montgomery Dentistry has been my dentist i Lawton for over 20 years. They have never let me down. They never hurt you and do an excellent job on every procedure I have had there. Dr. Pat was great and his daughter Dr. Andrea is a really great dentist, too.

Negative experience: Contacted Dr. Montgomery's office today to schedule an appointment, as a new patient. I was informed by the receptionist that they were not accepting new patients with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance unless they work at Cameron University. This was actually the second dentist office to tell me this today. I asked why and they informed me it was because the fee schedule for Blue Cross is too high. Seems dishonest to be listed as an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield but not accept new patients who have the insurance.

Negative experience: Be careful. She will “insist” her way is the right way. After the work is done if you don’t like the results she will fabricate stories about how she was only doing what YOU asked her to do. Also, she doesn’t do inlays. She will lie and say “nobody does inlays anymore. Everybody does crowns now”. FALSE! SHE doesn’t do them. Many other dentists still do today. There’s no need to remove so much material from a perfectly healthy tooth that only needs a little work done on the top.

Fantastic experience: My regular dentist, but on this occasion replacing a crown that had lost its porcelain. No pain and within an hour had a temporary in place and on my way. Cheerful banter and respectful enough to call me by my preferred name instead of my first name, which most hospitals do.

Negative experience: My kiddos WERE patients, until yesterday. Her office called asking about new insurance info. I explained that our insurance has changed & I would bring the new card with us at the time of their appointments the next day. She said that wouldn't work & we had give her the updated info over the phone. I explained that we do not give personal info over the phone (you can't be too safe in today's world ~ being a victim of stolen info before I take every precaution I can). She said that's unacceptable and they had to have the info today so I needed to bring it by the office. We live 40 minutes away so that wasn't an option. So....she goes and gets the doctor and puts her on the phone. (BTW...I've never spoken to this doctor before ~ just dental assistants at the kids appts). Now, this doctor makes it very clear that all she's worried about is whether or not she's going to get paid which, to an extent I understand, so I try to assure her that our BCBS Dental covers cleanings and if for some reason something isn't covered we would pay anything out of pocket we need to ~ at the time of service! I even told her that we would take care of it BEFORE they were seen! Didn't matter.... I could understand all this commotion IF we had a history of payment problems or insurance problems. I DO NOT understand this kind of demeaning treatment towards established patients just because they've had a change of insurance. They lost 3 patients over an insurance change......if payment is ALL you’re concerned about then you probably shouldn't have gone into the healthcare field.... Just a heads up also: this office is set up really weird. If you like patient privacy this isn't the place for you. In my opinion, privacy practices are very poor. Plus if you have kids they do NOT allow you to go back with your kiddos, you have to sit in the waiting area. I had issues with this so I would just go back anyway and kinda stand there or sit in the chairs next to the reception desk so I could always see my kids. The ladies at the reception desk didn't seem to like that very much as I would get looks the whole time from them but the dental assistants didn't seem to mind.

Negative experience: Apparently, if you are the sole parent, without any help from anyone, and they are a patient here... If you are looking to have your children seen here and you happen to have family emergencies, you know, like braking and dislocating your ankle. Dont even bother going there. Because they will tell you then, you will still have to pay for the no-show, even though you were in the hospital. Then they will send you a letter, firing you and blaming you for it. If you need dentistry for you children and you have soonercare, take then to Lawton kids dentistry. One be like me. Sitting here, in extreme pain and trying to figure out how I'm going to get my children to a dentist. And honestly, it isn't even worth the trouble. Its not like the dentist or the rest of them do a super amazing job. Just save yourself the trouble and find someone else.

Negative experience: My kids go there and even as an adult gets nervous about the drill well they don’t make the kids feel comfortable that’s one problem then the second problem I have with them is if you don’t call and cancel your appointment they charge you a $100 deposit not mentioned this appointment was scheduled according to my availability and they took upon they self’s to change and move it around to their availability so If you have kids don’t go take them here

Fantastic experience: First, I had a 11:15 appt, they had an opening come available and offered it. So I was to get in two hours early since I was up. Very thorough diagnosis and cleared everything through insurance, as soon as Dr. got into my mouth (I get my teeth cleaned every six months for since 1982, so she spotted, assessed mouth, and decided I needing two teeth higher level care. The office like my health PCM, except dental PCM, submitted, made appointment, simply made it all easy. If there was anything I miss I guess it was those Army dentist. They did everything to your mouth: Root canal, extraction, filling, dentures or the other fixated replacements, I simply mean one dentist did it all. Into today’s society dentist farm out each type of repair. West side Lawton root canals and that’s it (period). My dentist office everything from cleaning to fillings and some beautification. East side Lawton dentist does extractions or removals we used to call “Pull a tooth”. And that’s it at that office. I love my dentist office, the Dr. can put a three inch needle in the gum and you don’t feel stick or jump out of seat. She did like those senior Army dentist that waffle the cheek during shots, don’t feel a thing. If you’re looking for a family dentistry for basics up to referrals for extractions and root canals but they handle everything like a dentist PCM. Just makes life so much easier and everyone is so nice! Have a great weekend and blessed Friday also payday for some!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Montgomery and her staff were excellent. I am disappointed that after getting temporary crowns on January 7th that I am scheduled to get the permanent crowns on April 2nd. That seems like a long time to deal with the temporary crowns. The scheduling person did say they will try to work me in sooner if there is a cancellation. Dr. Montgomery is very kind and considerate in her dental procedure for the patient.

I mentally prepared myself to feel the pain of the injection, possibly a cut by accident here and there, but no. It was probably the best dental experience I’ve had and I’ve seen. I would love for the VA to send me here more often for my dental procedures in general.

Negative experience: Very upset going in for a filling and the job not to be completed and then when mentioned to the staff instead of making it right chose to do nothing. If I spend several hundreds of dollars on a job then the job should be done correctly and completely. If mistakes were made then just be decent and fix it. No sense in arguing. I get it though they’re trying to make a quick buck, but it’s devastating to take advantage of people. Definitely not a people person definitely inhumane mentality. What’s even worse is the reviews are great. You could have billions of good reviews, but if someone can’t be a decent human being I’d spend my money and time elsewhere.Would not recommend.

I have probably had 1 of every procedure done in these 10 years. Right when she walks in Dr Andrea puts me at ease when ím tensed about a procedure. She greets me by name, explains everything to me before it happens. The music plays, sometimes she sings.. And she can sing.. I truly recommend this dental office to any and every 1. Try it you won't regret it.
