Fantastic experience: My Mother-in-Law went to her dentist who referred her to Oklahoma Dental Implants and Oral Surgery. Scheduling was quick, consultation was thorough, Dr. and staff was amazing; very friendly, very clear in what needed to be done. Multiple instructions were given before surgery and after, which made her less anxious about qhat to expect and how to take care after surgery. Pain was not as bad as she thought it would be and the staff answered all her questions, treating her with so much kindness! We highly recommend this Oral surgeon! Dr. Paul Wood (and his staff) were wonderful! Thanks to all of you!

Negative experience: My daughter was quite nervous of the procedure she was supposed to receive. Dr. Woods allowed the other male doctor, I believe to be the anesthesiologist, to not only laugh at my daughter for being fearful but also allow him to say how “stupid it was to allow a 12 year old to make a decision on what to do.” It was truly unprofessional, the female nurses that were in the room agreed as well. The nurses were the only ones who felt the need to try and comfort my daughter while she’s experiencing the anxiety attack. Both males in the room seem to not care or have compassion.

Negative experience: On behalf of one of my friends....he has been told several things back and forth by this company. He had surgery in May of 2025, and the procedure is still not completed a year later. He has been to several dental offices after they told him they could not complete his dental work. They canceled his appointments due to a lack of communication, while he canceled work just to make it to the office on time. I am very disappointed with this experience for him. This is not how a patient should be treated, especially after they undergo surgery and pay a lot of money to ensure the procedure is done correctly. One year later, they tell him they can't complete the job. However, they are telling the second dental office that they can do the procedure. It is a lot of running around and a waste of time, money, and time off work.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom teeth removed (currently on day 4 after extraction) and I’ve had no swelling or pain which I thought was weird but that just means Dr. Wood is an excellent oral surgeon. Cannot recommend them enough, him and staff are awesome. Very thorough and professional I honestly want to go back just for the experience again lol

Negative experience: Beware. I was left running out in tears. I’ve been searching for a place to handle an urgent wisdom tooth extraction, but the front desk staff was incredibly rude and condescending. I drove over an hour for an 11:30 AM appointment, only to find they had canceled it without successfully contacting me. Despite having a confirmed appointment for 11:30 AM, I was told it had been canceled because I didn't "re-confirm" via a phone call I never received. I was under the impression my appointment was still on because of the confirmation on the day I made it. I was told I had until the Friday before my appointment to call and cancel which I never did. To make matters worse, the front desk staff—specifically the woman with the short ponytail—was condescending and dismissive(The one who left me crying). Even though I arrived for my scheduled time, they refused to see me because I wasn't 30 minutes early for paperwork, despite 11:30 being the only time that fit my schedule. The front desk sets the tone for the entire practice, and right now, that tone is one of coldness and a total lack of care for patients in pain. I wasted time, gas, and energy only to be treated with zero respect.

Positive experience: Once we got an appointment for consultation the next appointment for teeth extraction was within two weeks. After surgery other than being groggy my wife experienced little pain or swelling and was trying to do normal things the next day.

Negative experience: I’m very disappointed with my recent visit to Oklahoma Dental Implants & Oral Surgery. From the moment we arrived, the staff felt unwelcoming and dismissive. Their attitude came across as arrogant, and we were treated poorly throughout the visit. Instead of professionalism and basic courtesy, we experienced rudeness and a lack of respect, which made an already stressful dental appointment even worse. Communication was cold and unhelpful, and it felt like our concerns didn’t matter at all. For a dental office, especially one dealing with patients who may be anxious or in pain, this level of customer service is unacceptable. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this office based on how we were treated.

Fantastic experience: Mustang location. This was by far the best experience I have had at ANY Dr office. We were running late due to flat tire, I called and they had no issues with us running late. Recieved a call before we got there to make sure we were still coming and they told me not to worry, she was just checking on us due to the weather! We were 15 mins late. We got there for dauthers tooth extraction. Every person that I encountered was professional, friendly, patient, and seemed like they actually cared about their patient. The staff worked together and seemed like a really good team. Dr. Edwards was the same way. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing implants or oral surgery done. Thank you for being so patient and kind!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wood and his Staff are amazing . His Nurse that went over my pre-op during my consultation is definitely an asset. I'm terrified of having roots removed. My bridge feel out while eating and Dr. Wood removed them plus a wisdom tooth and placed implant body for 3 teeth. I had this procedure Tuesday and today is Friday. I had minimal bleeding, pain, or swelling. I would recommend Dr. Wood and his Staff 100%.

Fantastic experience: My second appointment at Oklahoma Dental Implants & Oral Surgery was June 2, 2025. I had a tooth implant performed by Dr. Wood. As before, I was met by an authentic smiles by Jackie and Marisa. Reva came out of an adjoining room with her own authentic smile, as she had been at the front desk during my first visit. (Marisa had been enjoying a cruise.) I intoduced my daughter, Kim Blalock, to the girls. They were so sweet and told her how much they liked her son, Jordan Blalock. It wasn’t too long before Jasmine, sporting the same authentic smile, came and took me to the surgery room. I continued my habit of praying for the girls, Jasmine, as I met them. Ramsey soon came in and started the preparation for Dr. Wood, anesthesia began, I spoke to Dr. Wood, and the next thing I knew I was sitting in my car with my daughter, leaving the facility. I wasn’t even bleeding much and had to have no other gauze. Took some pain medication and went to sleep. After a few days I was up and not hurting. I will definitely recommend Dr. Wood for anyone who needs a tooth implant. This was my fifth implant and probably the easiest. Thank you Dr. Wood and your great team of young ladies. They’re so personable and caring.

Fantastic experience: OMG, I am not the type of person that likes to go to the dentist. I recently went to this dental clinic to have two broken and two other teeth removed. I was treated with excellent service by Dr. Wood and his whole staff. It has been two days since my four teeth were extracted and they did such an amazing job I still do not have any pain or complications. if you follow their pre-and post-operative instructions you should not have any issues. I would recommend this Dental Clinic to anyone.

Positive experience: I felt as tho some of the nurses could have been a little more open and informative while I was in the surgical room waiting for the Dr. there was one specific nurse who did very well and continued to check up on me and make sure I was doing okay she was a star! The surgery went so smoothly and I didn’t even have to take the pain medication because the pain wasn’t that bad other than opening my mouth too far (wisdom teeth removal) it went so smoothly and don’t even have swelling if I ever need dental surgery again I will definitely be coming back!

Negative experience: The surgery went well… the lady that called me back was amazing. I was so nervous and she made sure to make me feel like everything was going to be okay. She was a doll. BUT the lady up front that took my payment, the one sitting on the left when facing them WAS RUDE ! She was also very rude to my girlfriend that went back in there because they forgot to give us the Dr Note. Idk if she was racist or homophobic. But which ever one it is . She needs to get it together because she’s making the rest of those sweet ladies look bad !

This was the best place I have ever been too I was sedated for my tooth extraction but it’s like I was never there it was so quick and the pain has been minimal. Negative experience: **Update(Two Months): I'm still just waiting; talk to the front desk last week, and she has no clue when it’s coming back. She told me she would reach out to the lab, but I’m not sure if she did or not—my advice to MILITARY families is not to get anything done a year before pcs. The people in the back are very nice and friendly, but hopefully, others have a better experience with the front desk than I did. I want to share my experience with Oklahoma Dental Implants & Oral Surgery(Lawton). I have been a patient of the clinic for almost two years and have been trying to get implants done. However, I have noticed some things that could be improved during this process. Although I understand that a year has passed since I first inquired about the implants, seeing such a significant price increase was still concerning. -Jan 28 The second red flag was that the clinic kept telling me they did not receive my paperwork. However, I handed in the paperwork in person to the front desk. Despite this, I was hung up multiple times when I called to follow up. I'm a new mom, so it's a lot for me to come up there. I never got the names of those who hung up on me, and I wondered why they would do that(poor customer service). It has been three weeks since I last heard from the clinic, and I am still waiting to receive any calls with information regarding my implants. When I called to inquire about the status of my implants, I was told by the front desk(no name) that the paperwork still needed to be sent to the lab. The front desk lady did not provide me with her name and was rude to me, even though I was only trying to obtain information about my implants, which I ordered a month ago. I was not yelling or doing anything wrong, but the lady still had an attitude towards me. It is her job to provide me with information, and I do not understand why she would be upset with me for calling. I am confused and ready to get the implants done. I was asked if I wanted to get a refund, and I was so lost. Where did that come from? However, I will keep calling every other week. I am still waiting for updates. I hope to get them back before PCSing. I asked if I could talk to someone, and the phone hung on me again. I don't know why the front desk(no names) is mad. I trust the clinic to do my implant, and I'm still waiting for them. -February 28

Fantastic experience: Totally professional, courteous and AWESOME!!!

Negative experience: About 3 months ago my spouse tried to have a tooth extracted by this clinic, they told him the insurance didn't pick up the procedure. My spouse called our insurance gave them all of the codes and was informed that infact the procedures were covered. So again he tried to recieve help from Dr woods and staff. Again was turned away with no effort. After dealing with multiple infections due to said tooth the mission of mercy free dental clinic came to Lawton which in fact Dr woods is affiliated with them. My spouse went to the free clinic as that was his last and only option. Tooth was extracted. Next day turned into a medical emergency. Fast forward to 3/8/2024 my spouse was having a regular conversation and felt a painful pop on his jaw. Saw a dentist Monday 3/11 who took an X-ray and saw a fracture. Was referred yet again to Dr woods office upon arrival the Front office staff was very rude and inconsiderate. After being forced to pay $100 for the cte that was done due to the fracture cause by the organization affiliated with this practice was told he'd have to go somewhere else because they don't deal with jaw fractures. I will never recommend this business to anyone. And I hope none of these people ever have to go through what he has gone through and I hope they are never treated the way he has been treated. And as medical professionals should be ashamed of the treatment given.

Negative experience: Veterans beware. Couldn't even get an appointment. I called the office to explain that I received a letter from the VA stating that a referral was sent and I need an appointment. They said they didn't receive it. While I was talking, the receptionist starting breathing forcefully through her nose. I asked her to stop breathing into phone as it was making it hard to hear. She told me she could hear me and everything was fine. I started talking again about the VA referral and she then starting breathing forcefully from her mouth "FFFFFFFFF!!! (deep breath in) FFFFFFFF!!! (deep breath in) FFFFFFFFFF!!". I said "Lady, stop blowing into the microphone!. She lied and said she couldn't hear it and it was fine on her end. I had the VA re-send the referral 3 more times over several days. I called back and the receptionist told me "Nope, I've got nothing with your name on it. I can't make you an appointment". The staff are either incompetent and unprofessional or they have an extreme aversion to accepting veterans as patients. After fooling around with them for three days I called the VA and had my referral changed to Lawton Oral Surgery.

Positive experience: Great team that works well together. Very personable and kind. They took good care of my son. They didn't have cold ice packs after surgery. I suggest taking some instant ice pack with you just incase.

Negative experience: Procedure didn’t take that long, however, my daughter should not have been taken out to my car in the state she was in. She wasn’t even close to being awake enough. You can tell they don’t monitor patients after procedures very well. My daughter is maybe 100 lbs soaking wet and she couldn’t even stand!!! The lady that brought her out to my car was yelling and screaming at her to stand up because she couldn’t help her stand and wasn’t going to carry her! She was still very incapacitated due to the anesthesia and couldn’t even hold her head up. Took everything I had to not go off!!

Negative experience: Beware of this company,!!! We were referred there by a dentist’s office from chickasha, ok. It was supposed to be a free consultation. The dentist that referred us, took X-rays. When we made the appointment in Lawton, it took about 6 weeks to get the appointment. They also took X-rays. The office called our insurance company and got the copayment on the visit , which we paid. ( free consultation. ??? Not) then 2 months later we received a text message saying we had an outstanding bill of $288 . Where did this come from? They said it was the X-rays… really? Hidden fees ? Shouldn’t our insurance cover them or because they didn’t get the X-rays from the dentist’s office that referred us to them, the insurance didn’t cover the second set of X-rays? Since the two were supposed to be working together, they couldn’t share info? So now, 3 times a week I get text messages about the balance. We spoke with them, made arrangements for payments and the very next day got another text messsge! No communication skills between offices??? Then the surgeon that was supposed to do my surgery , moved to another dentist’s office and so they had no clue as to when I could get my surgery done. Totally incompetent, they have no clue and worse, hidden fees for which they tell you your paying and then suddenly you’re not paying the fees they said, they’ve come up with a reason to charge you for something else, rip-off company. Beware!!!
