Fantastic experience: Still a great dentist in 2026. Nice vibe and culture too. Dr. Sara Cody has built a lovely boutique dental practice in a very tastefully renovated space in downtown Stillwater. The service is friendly and personal, at a relaxed pace. She’s hired an excellent team of kind and highly engaged staff. On a couple of occasions I needed advice on what to do with a couple problem teeth, she laid out the options clearly and gave me what I felt were well reasoned recommendations. The dental work performed was excellent, and I’m very satisfied with the outcomes. As a bonus, they have home raised free range eggs which they give away!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cody is simply wonderful! I have been meaning to leave a review for a while to share my experience under her care. I went to see Dr. Cody shortly after moving here from out of state. It was during Covid and had seen an emergency dentist upon arriving here that informed me that my tooth was just fine and I should not be worried. I knew something was not right, so I called Lift Dental. They got me in right away, and I ended up needing a full tooth extraction. Dr. Cody performed the extraction and also helped install a new implant for my tooth. The entire experience was painless due to her amazing “bedside manner” and also her wonderful dental skills. I was very comfortable during the procedures and I have had another dentist and also an orthodontist comment that my implant is “impressive dental work.” I’m not currently under her care due to changes in our insurance, but if I ever need anything serious in the future, I will definitely be returning to Lift Dental!

I have been doing Invisalign for a few years to correct some issues with my teeth and the results are amazing. I have noticed a change in my bite and my teeth alignment which will help save the health of my teeth for many years to come. I have had several compliments on my teeth thanks to invisalign and Lift Dental. I can't thank them enough for the cleanings they do and the care they provide to keep my teeth healthy.

Negative experience: Nice receptionist until you tell her you are cancelling your appointment. Then you will get hung up on after explaining why. Ultimately, I went here to get an opinion on jaw pain I was experiencing. I did that. And upon deciding to go elsewhere and focus on next steps for separate dental work, I was left feeling horrible for simply cancelling a follow up appointment. For an office that does “everything” to make you comfortable, they sure ended up doing the opposite.

My old dentist retired after taking care of my mom and I for 20 years. I grew up in Stillwater and have lived here all my life. Theyre a bit newer of an addition to downtown but they fit in perfectly and will be here for many years to come. 11/10 if you are in stillwater area and they can accept you as a patient consider switching! They are a wonderful dental team and really nice hoomans!

Fantastic experience: Truly a caring, professional and highly competent dental office, in every area, from the greeting, consult, treatment,comfort, cleanliness, to the paperwork and payment!!

Negative experience: I am in my 70s, and in all these years of dental care here in Minnesota and Oregon, I have never experienced anything like my visit to Lift Dental. The device placed in my mouth for X-rays, was painful and actually caused a sore in my mouth. When I complained, which I have never before had to having X-rays, the hygienist just continued and said it would have to stay in place to complete the picture. Then from the minute I sat in the dental chair, a film was showing featuring there Envisoline adult version of clear braces. The hygienist told me that she felt I needed this to align my teeth for a better bite and a more perfect smile. I was not impressed and told her at my age I was content with my mouth. That did not stop the sales pitch, and simply continued once the doctor came in. I felt like the next thing they were going to pitch might be snake oil. I have never experienced anything like this in a professional dental situation. I can’t wait to see what I’ll be charged for that X-ray torture experience. Plus, the chipped tooth I came in to be repaired was put off til January . I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. J Bartoni

Every dental office should take notes on how Dr. Cody and staff do things because they have figured out how to make their patients feel listened to and cared for in a really genuine way. They made me feel very comfortable during my entire visit and put so much attention into details. (I’ll admit that the mini chocolate chip cookies didn’t hurt either !)

They didn’t accept my insurance so I thought “ok I’ll get this done and look for another provider that takes my insurance”. I got there and realized it is all women working there and they listened to me and helped calm my anxiety and I will be staying with them even though I will pay out of pocket. A good dentist like Sara and her team is worth every penny

Fantastic experience: I feel like I won the lottery when a dear friend referred me to Lift Dental. I’m truly in awe of how this dental office is run and managed. From my initial phone call setting up a consultation, they excelled in professionalism and the best of team work. Even my initial call was even welcoming. The person on the phone was so pleasant and answered all my initial questions. There was no pressure or rushing through the conversation. I described what I had been told I needed and was told right there that I had called the right place. And I believed immediately that she was right. The initial consultation went smoothly, on time and very relaxed calming environment. Very thorough X-rays and exams were done. I received a very detailed options from Dr Sara as well as a thoughtful opinion. They were honest and I was told this work would be very time consuming and difficult but they were ready for the challenge. It would take the assistance of a few specialists for difficult extraction to multiple root canals and a bridge. They assisted me with referrals and assistance in scheduling the specialists. Timing was key and they referred me to the best!! Their team of 4 worked together like I’ve never experienced. Everyone from the office manager to hygienist and dental assistants and the amazing Dr Sarah couldn’t have been better. The entire team was more than willing to answer any questions I had. Again an efficient and calming environment at all times. I never felt rushed or uninformed. . They touched all but one tooth in my mouth and the outcome could not have been better. I am grateful to each of them in holding my hand and making me feel at ease. Highly highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin! I have been to 4 dentists, 3 of which I left feeling discouraged, unheard, and joyful that I did NOT have to return to the dentist for another 6 months. Not Lift Dental. Dr. Cody had done a phenomenal job staying up to date on the latest and greatest dental treatment techniques to ensure a seamless experience. For the first time ever, I walk into Lift Dental excited to be there. The staff ensures your comfort, making it feel like you never left your couch. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see Daisy (Lift Dental’s mascot a cute little doggo). The staff is incredibly personable, with every intention to make your experience comfortable, with the ultimate purpose of ensuring your oral hygiene. If you’ve ever had a negative experience at the dentist, need a general check-up, or need someone who will give you their honest opinion, Dr. Cody and Lift Dental is your place, truly the best there is.

My exam was pleasant but very thorough and explained well. I haven’t had my repair work done yet but am sure my experience will be no different. I Highly recommend Lift Dental UPDATE: I just had my surgery today and I can say without hesitation that it was the best dental experience I’ve had in my 60 years The care and attention I received was top notch! I even got a call from Dr. Cody hours after my procedure today to check on me! Also the anesthesia staff was delightful. Can’t say enough about how special Lift Dental is to me.

Fantastic experience: A dentist who actually took time to talk and listen! When I became a parent, I was very jealous of the quality of care my kids were getting at their doctors and dentists. I thought back to my own childhood about how wonderful my pediatric services were compared to my grown up ones. I feel like at some point, as an adult, I just accepted that adult medical care was just less personal and less personable. I recently moved to the Stillwater area from Maplewood, so just far enough to need new providers across the board. After once again finding an above and beyond pediatric dentist, I was determined to find the same quality care. After a failed try at another clinic, I gave Lift Dental a chance. Right away I was blown away by their professionalism and their level of personal care. Mary Jo, you are my personal hero. Trying to access our dental insurance has been like trying to climb Mt Everest to say the least. Mary Jo worked tirelessly over the course of days, through many phone calls, just to make sure we knew what was covered before we came in. I was truly floored by how much effort she put in for us. She then very carefully and simply explained to me what she found out. She made the entire process feel easy and pleasant. Ashley was a wonderful hygienist. She really took the time to listen, she was quick, and she made sure I was comfortable. I wouldn't have thought a pillow would make a huge difference, but man. I like the fact that Ashley is the hygienist too. Growing up, my dentist had a few hygienists in her office. Seeing the same people who know your quirks, your history, and you have a relationship with already makes the experience more relaxed. I had sent my husband to try this place out ahead of me, and Ashely remember details from his visit. It added that layer of personal and personable I was looking for. Dr. Cody is the first dentist I can think of in a long time that actually took the time to sit down with me and talk things through. I am so used to the "hi, how are you. (check teeth). Looks good. See you in 6 months." Dr. Cody not only looked at my teeth, but talked to me about my jaw, my bite, and things I wanted to fix if I could. She gave me good recommendations that didn't feel like up-sells (an issue with my first adult dentist) and she took the time to think of plans that made me comfortable. At the same time I appreciated her willingness to also push me a bit and explain things without fear mongering or making it seem like I didn't get a choice. I still I have my wisdom teeth. I had a lot of oral surgery as a kid to make room for the teeth in my mouth, and I have little interest in doing more. Dr. Cody took the time to explain to me why I should do it that went beyond "it makes it easier for us" which is the sell my first adult dentist gave me. I have never had a dentist gently push back on my reluctance for surgery, nor have they explained the reasons why. She was willing to respect my wishes to not have surgery though, and created a plan with no surgery as the first choice. Wonderful team. Wonderful care. It is the small things they do that make the biggest differences you never knew you wanted. Also their candles are the best smelling things in the world.

Fantastic experience: Those of us older than Boomers remember how we dreaded a visit to the dentist. Not so with Dr. Cody at Lift Dental. I liken it to a “spa for your teeth” with a warm blanket and neck pillow. Dr. Cody is, of course, the main source of expertise and treatment, but she has also put together a group of highly professionals in a calm and pleasant atmosphere. We now have vast experience at Lift Dental… for reference: two new (beautiful) front teeth for my adult son, several crowns and cavity repairs for the rest of us. Regular cleanings too. Everything in her office (even the decor) is cutting edge. I have had a lot of work completed and previously “feared” the dentist… Dr. Cody and her staff keep you comfortable during your visit and despite all the work I’ve had done, I’ve experienced little to no pain during or after. I am more than pleased with Lift Dental!

Fantastic experience: I went to Lyft dental a year ago with some pretty serious dental problems. Dr Cody and her staff were very attentive, and assisted me in getting some work done surgically and completing the dental portion afterwards. They have called to see how I'm doing, they always get me in quickly when something needs to be adjusted. And the staff are very generous and kind whenever I have been there. Definitely a five-star dental office! Very professional, very attentive to my needs, and very accommodating with my time. Five stars all the way! I would boost that up to 10!

Negative experience: This experience was devastating. Two plus years later and I still have a hole in the roof of my mouth that goes into my sinus. Infection, bone spurs, overfilled fillings, and sharp edges were left. I also need to add that I was shamed for neglect when I'd had a horrible medical event prior and the COVID epidemic before seeing her. As if this wasn't enough, it was also outrageously expensive. I'm surprised when reading the other reviews.

Fantastic experience: We brought our daughter to see Sara Coty about getting some dental work done. Sara and everyone there made us feel very comfortable. We are looking forward to working with the team again.

Very kid friendly I had to bring one of my twins w me and they were so sweet about it & had toys right in the waiting room. When I came in I was greeted right away w a smile and board on the front desk that said “welcome Maliyah” someone came to help me right away and that’s impressive because I came early for my appointment thinking I needed to do new patient paperwork per usual w/ new dentist, and they happened to be on there lunch and still managed to stop there break to say hi and get me started on paperwork (which was much faster because they allowed me to do it on a iPad) . And right after lunch they took me back ! When I say this is the best dentist I have ever went to in my life IT IS . Trust me between me and my three kids I’ve seen it all when it comes to dental care/offices, these ladies are exceptional ❤️

Fantastic experience: Does the perfect dental team exist? Yes it does, and I am so very fortunate to have found them at Lift Dental in Stillwater. Dr Cody and her team are in my opinion, heroes ! For over a decade I had neglected this side of my health check, mainly out of fear, and anxiety. However the anxiety that this big chicken had experienced with my past dental appointments, did not exist here. They truly set me at ease. Listen to my dental concerns, and treated me as a person. I am now very excited to continue on with the dental plan they have for me. And I look forward to a great professional relationship with this wonderful team of dental professionals!
