Fantastic experience: It was really nice walking into this office. For such a small shop, it smelled nice and I was immediately greeted with a welcoming smile. I received service within about 5 minutes of checking in, which I really appreciated. They also took their time with my teeth cleaning compared to what I’m used to at other dentists, where they clean you up in 10 minutes and send you on your way. They gave me recommendations, explained the next steps for me, and displayed great professionalism the entire time. I’m thankful I found out about this dentist office, and I’ll definitely be coming back for sure!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Gilliam was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I was scheduled as his first patient of the day for a root canal. Although I arrived slightly late, I was still within the office’s grace period. Dr. Gilliam was not yet at the office and ultimately arrived approximately 30 minutes late. This was also my third attempt to have this root canal completed. During a previous appointment, the office canceled my procedure because I arrived one minute beyond their grace period, so it was especially frustrating to be expected to wait when I had followed that same policy. Because I needed to get to work, I decided I could no longer wait and would find another provider. My decision to leave is where my experience became completely unacceptable. Dr. Gilliam became confrontational and, as I was leaving, repeatedly asked me, “Do you want a referral so you don’t die?” He said this multiple times while referring to the infection in my mouth. I had never even met this dentist before that day. I understand the seriousness of a dental infection. My issue was never with being informed that I needed treatment or being offered a referral. My issue was the aggressive, disrespectful, and humiliating way it was communicated. A healthcare professional can explain the urgency of a condition without speaking to a patient that way. I left extremely upset and now have the additional inconvenience of finding another provider to complete a root canal I had already attempted to have done three times at this practice. I cannot speak for the positive experiences others have shared, but unfortunately, that was not the respect, professionalism, or courtesy I received. Based on my personal experience, I would not return.

Fantastic experience: I just want to say I had a filling done at Confident smiles. I hate the drill the sound of it scares me. However, my dental experience with Dr. Powe was amazing. She talked me through, the entire process, because I informed her that my teeth were sensitive and fear of the drill . She said “ I got you”. She started at 9:05 and I was finished before 930. Talk about express. Also The 2 Tiffany’s at the front desk and Will were awesome. Very welcoming and great assistant to Dr. Powe. Looking forward to my dental appointment.

Positive experience: Dentists are not there frequently. The staff is polite and work very hard to get things done. I was concerned that I needed a follow up. ***update***10/2024 Customer service has improved greatly. They are still far too busy and you cannot get an appt before a full month out, but that's true of this entire area. Dental staff is amazing! ***UPDATE****6/4/2025 I was seconds from leaving, but took this one last appointment. I am happy I did. They worked out all of the details that were affecting the service. Dr. Gillium was present, smiling. Thankfully, I can continue supporting them. The front office is different and friendly. High levels of professionals and good music played throughout.

Personable and quick to figure out whatever needs to be done to perfect your smile she took care of my chipped teeth and cavities in two days....she was like a little dental angel. Positive experience: This is a calm environment which is important for a dental clinic as it is doing detail work. The only complain I had was there is no hand shack between the dentist and the receptionist missing the important information of my proposed deep cleaning has to come before the filling and I am glad that I caught it.

I high fived Dr. G while in the chair, because I wasn’t aware he’d already pulled the tooth, that’s how good he is. Negative experience: Horrible customer service. Unprofessional. Very nonchalant about their unprofessionalism and the office is dusty, and the bathroom is dirty, as if it hasn’t been cleaned in MONTHS!

Positive experience: I had my teeth cleaned yesterday and all went well. The staff is wonderful. The dentist had not arrived yet so I had the option to wait on him or have him view my x-rays and reply back to me. I am still waiting but I have confidence that he will reach out to me.

Negative experience: I arrived at the office and I was informed that my appointment was canceled. This was the second time this has happened. I had an appointment card and that didn’t matter. I’ve worked in the healthcare industry for over 25 years and I was surprised by the actions of this office. I was a patient there 2012-2017 and I left because of the customer service. I thought I would try them again and not much better. I will say Crystal is amazing and I was happy to see she was still there. Crystal has always been pleasant every appointment I’ve had.

She was caring,compassionate, and really does a great job. I have been in pain for months with this tooth and after the extraction I feel zero pain hours later. Thank you so much! Fantastic experience: Second time here once was for a tooth pulled second was for a cleaning and a plan to get all the work done I need in my mouth as it’s been YEARS for me … both times were a great experience. I was taken straight to the back with almost no wait . Everything was explained to me that was being done / said . Even the receptionist took her time to explain everything to me when we were getting my next appointments scheduled. I had a terrible experience at the dentist as a teen that has kept me too frightened to go unless an absolute emergency, this place has changed that. I feel comfortable here and I’m so glad I took the opportunity to go back after like 2 years and start working on my dental health with them. Thank you !

They send out reminder text, I really appreciate that, because I have a hard time keeping up with days and time due to me making appointments for our household of 9. No pain when I need a fill in and no pain when they did my root canal and crown and they made sure it was sealed properly. I referred my husband so he will be going soon.

Negative experience: I just experienced the worst customer service ever from the receptionist at this office. She attempted to confirm an upcoming appointment. Her initial greeting was very rude and abrupt, and she continued to speak unprofessionally to me even after bringing it to her attention. After being a patient for years, I must say I am extremely disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Confident Smiles has exceptional service and my experience with Dr.Meskele yesterday was so awesome she made sure I was comfortable and she was patient with me the whole service. I also made it to work on time because her and the staff worked quickly and effectively to get me out in a timely manner.

Negative experience: Lovely front office staff, however, last Thursday, (6/13/24 @2pm), the dentist Dr. Gilliam and his dental assistant, a middle-class white lady, gave me a horribly horrific and insensitive experience. In the beginning, the assistant said that she only worked on 2 of my teeth, but she lied and said that she never touch the 3rd one. I can feel the difference, and in addition, my mouth was swollen real bad. Both the dentist and the assistant left me disoriented and by myself for a good while with my mouth wide open. I yelled out of fear and they came rushing back in. I got NO apology from either person. After going home, I left a message about having to go to the emergency room and no one ever called back to check on me. I will never come here again, and I don't recommend anyone else to go to them either.

Negative experience: Dentist never arrived. Had an issue with my tooth and never got seen for my appointment which I had for over a month in advance. Was told if I wanted to be seen for the tooth I would need to make another appointment and no more available appointments until end of July so I would need to be in pain for another month and a half ! No call was made by the Dr to apologize or to make this matter right. Been going here since 2008 and am currently looking for a new dentist office !

Fantastic experience: Very nice staff an did a great job

Negative experience: Do not go to this place if you are Brown. They will mistreat and disregard you. Having taken a Brown family member to them who was experiencing a dental emergency, it was obvious that appearance was one of the factors for the nonexistent care given. I saw an employee use unwashed tools, and another employee manhandle my family member’s jaw before telling us there was nothing they could do. Immediately after the visit, symptoms drastically worsened, which we were told by another dentist (who actually took care of us) may have been caused by that manhandling. Have a vigilant family member with you.

Negative experience: SINCE Dr. Salter left, the customer service left with him. Can't get an appointment and it just sucks. I will not be returning. I am a over 15 year client. I never get the Same dentist when I go in. The dentist I had today didn't even know where the chip wasbin my mouth. I won't be returning

Negative experience: Don’t go here, even as a last resort. The first time I went here for a root canal which resulted in the dentist cracking my tooth in half, causing extreme pain, eventually infection and then having to get it pulled. Decided to try again to get a filling and the lady who did them was HORRIBLE. I was in so much pain, just for a filling! Then immediately after I started to experience very bad tooth sensitivity. I went to another dentist and was told that they did the filling too close to my nerve and now I need a root canal if I want to stop the pain. Save yourself the headaches and find another dentist.

Negative experience: Whoever was at the front desk booking appointments had to be new because she scheduled my two appointments on a Saturday when they are closed very frustrating

Negative experience: I loved this dental office but something changed. Idk if it has a different owner or if they are broke or what. I have always had nice teeth so I have always liked going to the dentist. However, The last dentist that worked on me did an awful job. She did the work as fast as she could and it was all screwed up so she had to drill it all out and she drilled more of my teeth out and had to do the work all over again. In exchange I got really bad fillings that didn't take and weren't smoothed. She took too much of my teeth and cracked my main molar really bad. She knew of her mistake but tried to fill the crack, which revealed itself 4 days later. She contacted my insurance asking for a crown for the tooth she broke. I didn't know until I received a denial letter in the mail from my insurance. So she wasn't planning to cop to her mistake. Now I am scared to go to any dentist! So my crack is slowly getting worse. My tooth is ruined and it was strong and healthy with just "a surface cavity". My review before this occassion- Best dental office I have ever experienced. They are excellent at what they do, fast and professional. I absolutely cannot believe they were able to remove so many years of cigarette stains from my teeth in 2 cleanings! And they don't painfully dig at my gums during cleanings like past dentists did. Happy customer here!

Negative experience: The doctor was in the room with me for under 2 minutes. Didn't even put any instruments in my mouth but was somehow able to diagnose 5 cavities just by glancing into my mouth. I have over 10 years of dental assisting experience so I know how exams are supposed to go. I also have a pretty good idea of what cavities look and feel like, so using my own instruments at home I checked out the teeth that were treatment planned. Didn't find anything. So I got a second opinion from a dentist who actually spent time with me and used instruments like they're supposed to and surprise, surprise...no real cavities. The only plus side is that the receptionist was super friendly and the hygienist was really nice! It's just not a reliable place to go for actual tooth care.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff that made me feel right at home. Dr. G is truly amazing at what he does. He's not only a highly skilled dentist but also incredibly personable. He took the time to thoroughly explain my treatment options and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. The entire experience was a breeze, thanks to their professionalism and genuine concern for my well-being. I can honestly say I look forward to my next visit to the dentist, knowing I'm in such capable and caring hands. If you're looking for top-notch dental care in a welcoming environment, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Gilliam and his fantastic team. Positive experience: 0/10 have been here a few times, trying to give them a chance, being they accept my insurance. I have never not have to wait over an hour in the lobby for my apt. The receptionist are rude. The dentist do not do their jobs. They do not follow through with ANYTHING. Please DO NOT waste your time. Update: Honestly I was just having a bad day the other week. Although I do have to wait every time I come, it’s inevitable. It’s not like they’re just sitting around being lazy, I just was being impatient. The receptionist did inform me she was new and was actually very professional even with my unnecessary attitude. I’ve been a patient for a while now and they’ve always made sure I was good.
