Fantastic experience: Comfortable office. Staff are friendly and informative. My hygienist Julie is so professional and friendly. I joined the Coakley dental group a little over a year ago and highly recommended!

Negative experience: I chose this dental office because they told me they were in-network with my insurance. my initial appointment was covered, which reinforced that understanding. The dentist recommended a deep cleaning/scaling and told me it was covered by my insurance, with only a copay due at the time. based on that information I proceeded with the treatment. A few months later, I was notified that the claims had been denied. when I contacted the office, I was told the treatment was not in network and essentially my responsibility, despite the fact that I had specifically verified network participation before hand. the conversation was unhelpful and dismissive. After being told to hold tight and that they were still working with the insurance company, I waited months without a resolution. now after 8 months I have received a bill from them for almost 700 hundred dollars. This experience left me feeling misled about my insurance coverage and frustrated about the lack of communication and customer service. I would strongly encourage anyone considering treatment here to independently verify insurance coverage and obtain Written confirmation of any cost estimates/insurance guarantees before proceeding.

Bringing a young person with special needs to the dentist can be challenging but Miss Bridget is wonderful. She is patient, kind and understanding. She is totally willing to meet my daughter where she is at on the day of each appointment - which has lead to very successful visits!

The front desk people are Insurance knowledgeable, and go out of their way to process your claims. I’ve only had one hygienist there and she was very gentle. I got a referral from a family member that works there, and I would feel comfortable referring anyone to that dental office. Newly constructed dental office with young professionals with old values.

Positive experience: I already contacted the office with my concerns, but I received an email asking for my feedback so here I am. We started bringing my young child to Coakely upon a recommendation from another family and the first few times were great. We have been doing the dentist since our child was very young to get them used to it. Our last two visits, however, (with the same hygienist) were not as positive and my toddler was not comfortable with the experience. The hygienist gave us a referral to another pediatric dentistry and wrote she is “apprehensive” and “uncooperative” on the referral slip, which I think is unfair as my child is very young still. The hygienist was polite, but not warm and did not make an effort to make my child comfortable with the experience. I think this is unique to the hygienist though because the dentists are fantastic and have made my child feel very comfortable even with urgent x-rays after an injury sustained to the teeth. Their on call service for emergency dental issues were also really great and helpful during a stressful time. We decided to move on from this practice as we were meant to feel that my child would be better suited somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient for years and I love this practice! After my former dentist retired and sold his practice, I had some negative experiences with a corporate dental group and then someone recommended Coakley Family Dental. They perform my cleaning every six months, they filled my first real cavity , and they have squeezed me in a couple times for more emergent visits. The staff is always professional and courteous and there is nowhere else I'd rather be. They are celebrating 50 years in business and it's easy to see why they've been around so long. I hope to still be a patient for the next 50!

Fantastic experience: It is very difficult for me to go to a dentist due to issues growing up.But my appointments with the Coakley group have each been absolutely wonderful.Bridget takes her time and carefully cleans and addresses all issues. The instruments are high tech and effective Her office area is soothing with travel films of far off places.I have been treated wonderfully by every member of this group...and I LOVE the Bob Ross channel in the waiting room!

Fantastic experience: Coakley Family Dental is fantastic! This is my second time visiting “home” and I cracked a tooth. Both times they got me in on an emergency basis and quickly fixed my tooth and got me on my way. It’s hard enough to get your OWN dentist to see you on emergency but this office will do anything to help. (Special note, this time it was Christmas!). Both times, the dentists I had were so professional, skilled and clearly top notch. Same for the facility itself and the wonderful staff. EVERYONE you encounter is so kind and just wants to help. If I lived in the area- HANDS DOWN this would be my primary dental care!

Fantastic experience: Let me first start by stating that I am a new patient to this practice. The office is bright, clean and very comfortable! Everyone I have interacted with has been very pleasant. I initially met with the hygienist who was very friendly and did a great job charting, cleaning and polishing my teeth. A full set of x-rays were taken as well. I returned within a week, to have a very old filling replaced by Dr. Christen McIntyre and she was equally as pleasant and professional. She did a great job! I am truly very happy that I made the decision to become a patient in this practice!

Fantastic experience: I've been with them for as long as I've been alive. I grew up in Leominster, but I live an hour away now. I still commute 3x/year to see them because they’re absolutely fantastic. They pour money into growth and development; they always have new pieces of equipment, procedures, and knowledge nuggets to share. Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable and pleasant. You will not regret working with them.

They understood about my chronic dry mouth due to medication changes and offered helpful solutions. I look forward to seeing them again, and I am very happy with my treatment. I am very pleased and satisfied with how Coakley Family Dental made things right. Dr. M and the entire team responded by working really hard to get things done expeditiously and perfectly, and I am very satisfied with the results. Many in the office were very aware of my situation and worked as a team in doubling down to get my new teeth *perfect* in time for a very important event in my life.I had also previously mentioned that all cleanings and routine visits have been excellent, taking the right time and attention to detail and this is still the case. I highly recommend Coakley Family Dental and am grateful for how hard they worked to get my case done right--to perfection.

I had been shamed by dental offices in the past for length between cleanings, but Lori told me exactly what to do to take good care of my teeth, and made me feel comfortable the whole time. Negative experience: I switched from Dr Stanley Joe's to Dr coakley's office on a recommendation not very fond of Dr coakley's office will be returning to Dr Stanley Joe's for future visits and this was only after my first consultation and first cleaning.

She also helped me set up appointments for future services at times that fall in line with a new dental insurance plan that is starting soon.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Coakley Family Dental and I have to admit that I was a bit anxious. Prior to this visit I've only had two dentists in my adult life and that's spanning a period of over fifty years. Upon entering the office I was greeted by a secretary who welcomed me to Coakley Dental. She pointed out the amenities of the waiting area. I couldn't help but to notice how bright the office and waiting area were. During the few minutes that I was awaiting my appointment to begin I also noticed the freshness of the air. Soon, I was again warmly greeted by the assistant to my dentist and was made to feel very comfortable. My dentist was Dr. Brett Davis. He was such a nice individual. I think the quality I admired most about him was that he was willing to listen to me regarding the reason I was there. He didn't profess to know all the answers and was quite willing to discuss with me possible solutions. His first attempt at fixing my problem was successful. Now, that I found to be simply amazing. For me, it's the accumulation of little things that always make up the big picture. I've already experienced many of those and this was only my first visit to Coakley Family Dental. I sincerely look forward to many more.
