Negative experience: UPDATE: 5/18/2026 “Good Faith” Refund Not Issued Still Waiting For Response- I was offered a refund in writing for items I was unable to use and for portions of dental work that resulted in outcomes that were unsatisfactory to me. This was explicitly described to me as a “good faith gesture.” As of January 16, 2026, that refund has not been issued. After I shared my experience publicly and contacted DOPL, I was later informed in subsequent correspondence that the refund would no longer be honored. I was told that any reimbursement would only be considered if I first paid another provider to redo the work and submitted receipts. Follow-up emails requesting clarification or resolution have not received a response. My experience involved prolonged pain, multiple corrective visits, and outcomes that did not align with what was represented to me during care. Items I paid for over a year ago that I was unable to use have still not been refunded. I am retaining copies of all written communications. This review reflects my personal experience and the current status of the matter as of the date posted. Updated Original Review:My experience with Summit View Biological Dentistry was deeply painful and disappointing. Over two years later, I’m still dealing with the physical and emotional aftermath, and much of the work I received there has had to be redone. It has been over two years since my initial work with Summit View Biological Dentistry. Early in the process, one of their lead dentists, Dr. G, told me he didn’t know why I was in so much pain after a crown he had replaced. Later, I learned from staff that information about my scans and condition had not been fully shared with me at the time, which left me feeling misled and deeply confused. Because of this breakdown in communication, I remained in extreme pain for nearly six months. During that time, the crown Dr. G had placed was replaced two times before the tooth ultimately had to be extracted. Each visit brought reassurance that “all was well,” yet the pain persisted and felt like an exposed nerve. Throughout this ordeal, I experienced severe physical and nervous system distress. Living with that level of pain for months took a profound toll on my body. Over the past two years, I have invested significant time, energy, and resources in bodywork, craniosacral therapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture to restore balance and recovery. Eventually, I was referred to Dr. C, who sincerely tried to help manage the situation. Still, I found it difficult to trust the care being offered when earlier communication issues had never been fully addressed. From that point forward, I often felt treated as a liability rather than as a patient deserving of full transparency and care. I left Summit View with much of my dental work needing to be redone. Despite assurances that my bite was “fine,” I have been left with a severely misaligned bite that several other providers have quoted thousands of dollars to correct. I also have a crown that doesn’t match my natural teeth in placement or color, which continues to be an issue. When I raised my concerns again months later, Summit View offered to reimburse one procedure. After I explained the extent of the ongoing issues and restorative costs, communication from the office stopped. Based on my experience, I feel that Summit View Biological Dentistry lacked the transparency and accountability I expected from a holistic dental practice. Once I expressed the depth of the harm I was experiencing, I no longer felt seen or supported as a patient.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about the care that I received from Dr. Erickson and the team at Summit View Bio Dentistry. I was referred by Dr. Pompa, who highly recommended these people and I have to agree wholeheartedly with his assessment. We traveled from out of state to receive specialized care and they sure delivered! From the early days of communicating over email and text, to making arrangements, to the day of surgery and through to the follow up/post op appointment, I was treated to exceptional care. Gabby, Heather, Angie, Kemerie, Wally and Dr. Erickson took time to make me feel seen and heard, attributes that I admire as a healthcare provider myself. My husband was able to wait out the surgery in a special room designed to keep him comfortable and occupied as well. They have thought of everything! I even left the day of surgery with a wrap around/hands free ice pack to help reduce swelling on my way back to our home away from home. Thank you, SVBD. I'm glad we traveled to your beautiful area to get the care I so badly needed.

Fantastic experience: This is my second time going to Dr Erickson and team, for a routine cleaning and check up. Again, I found them to be quick and thorough. Both my son (who has some special needs) and I came in at the same time so it made the appointments very efficient. My son had a cavity that was coming loose (from a previous Dentist in California). It was discovered while we were there and they were able to handle it right away. My son had only had cavities filled while under anesthesia in the past. They were so great and understanding with him and were able to complete the job with a shot to numb the area. We booked again for August.

Fantastic experience: I am so glad Summit View Biological Dentistry and Wellness was recommended to me. It's a very different experience than seeing a regular dentist. The entire staff treats you so well. They care about the whole person and how you feel during every single procedure. Dr. Scott Chandler and his staff communicate so well to you so you understand completely what they are doing for you. I highly recommend them. I received amazing care when I had my oral surgery and my post op appointments as well as having my amalgam fillings removed.

Fantastic experience: Our experience with Dr. Chandler and his staff was the best experience we have ever had with a dentist. His staff was very friendly and able to answer all of our questions. Dr. Chandler was very gentle with my daughter and explained the procedure thoroughly. After surgery, my daughter felt a release in her neck and shoulders, no more tightness. Her ear ringing has almost disappeared and continues to lessen as the healing continues. She had absolutely no pain after cavitations and implants! We would recommend Dr. Chandler for any dental procedures.

Fantastic experience: So grateful for Dr Chandler and his team. I had a failed implant from another office and decided to forgo that money invested and try Summit because I felt more confident in them- in their overall assessment and in Dr Chandlers confidence the implant would succeed. The ceramic implant was successful and I’m just so beyond thankful. I had been toothless for several years because of the failed implant, healing time, then I got pregnant and nursed (had to put it on hold), so when this implant healed I was so thrilled. Having no tooth (in the front) and having to wear a retainer for foreverrrr really does mess with a girls confidence he also treated 2 cavitations I had and had some crazy side effects from that- the biggest being able to get off of all my thyroid medication (I had been on medication for over a decade)! A welcomed side effect. I also feel so much more clear minded- way less brain fog and more energy. So thank you to Dr Chandler and everyone at Summit for their amazing work, professionalism, kindness & communication. I will recommend them to all my friends and family who need a biological dentist- even though I live in AZ! Definitely worth the trip for peace of mind.

Fantastic experience: I found Dr Scott Chandler from doing the Dr. Pompa detox Program. If you know Dr Pompa he is the best in his field and Dr Scott Chandler is also the best in Biological dentistry. He is doing things other dentists and biological dentists are not. I have had jaw pain for almost 20 years. No one has been able to give me answers up until now and I have tried a lot of different types of natural and medical practitioners. Dr Chandler read a CT scan of my jaw over a zoom meeting. He was able to see that my jaw joints are almost bone on bone. It was worth every penny to get a CT scan and his assessment. He then recommended a treatment that will support the healing of the discs. I live across the country but I will fly to Utah for the treatment as I want the best treatment I can get. I would highly recommend their office.

Positive experience: Just feel every question was answered politely and service was great! I have always dreaded going to the dentist since I have VERY sensitive teeth. They truly go to every effort to make you as comfortable as possible when doing cleanings or other procedures and it makes all the difference.

Negative experience: Salesy and disingenuous. I don't recommend. I had a lengthy telephone conversation with one of the staff, and they asked me to send a detailed email message for them to show the doctor to see if he thought he could possibly help me. Within a very short time of my having sent the message, I received a canned email from Gabby seeking to sell me a $200 Zoom call. Hadn't even shown my email message to the doctor. Neither she nor anyone else returned my telephone call. Because of the iatrogenic damage I've suffered I've learned a lot about my situation, and dentistry, and I don't recommend people who take someone's injuries so casually. Not recommended. Update as per their disingenuous response: They indicate "We’re sorry if you felt the communication did not reflect the level of respect or attentiveness you expected." It didn't reflect the "character" or integrity for which I was looking. It's always interesting to me when a business reads honest, unfavorable online reviews that there will then be an influx of highly rated reviews which if you look into them a bit, you see they are just planted. I don't recommend. Gratefully, I found. after meeting with experts across the United States, my primary person who, amongst everything else, has ultimate integrity for their patients. And it doesn't take an unfavorable review to bring it forth. I don't recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’m so grateful to Dr. Chandler and his incredible team—Heather, Gabby, Riley, Leanne and Patrice--for their care in treating my cavitations. I flew in for 2 surgical cavitations, 1 wisdom tooth extraction, 1 laser cavitation, bio-stim treatment and TMJ injections with PRF. Initially, a family member was hoping this procedure could be done locally, and so I had spoken to two other local biological dentists beforehand so as to avoid travelling. I came in with a lot of questions and nerves, and Dr. Chandler and Heather patiently addressed them all and put me at ease. Doing the Flowpresso machine pre surgery with Heather also calmed me down, and the last thing I remember before the oral sedative kicked in was looking out at the beautiful mountains beyond the office windows. I drifted off, thankful that I had trusted my intuition to come to Dr. Chandler. It also turns out that this is most calming dental office in the world to have this procedure done! And everyone here really, really cares about patient experience and comfort. I also appreciate the take-home supplements, rinses and red-light tool, which make me feel well cared for during the ongoing 3-month recovery period, and for the lab results that indicate which pathogens were removed from the cavitations. No wonder I feel so much better now that these parasite breeding grounds are gone from my jawbone! It’s been about two weeks post-op now, and every day I feel better. I have my life force back again! I came in with tinnitus ringing in my left ear and “ear snow” in my right ear. Both disappeared after surgery. I’ve lost a few pounds being on soups and smoothies, my mood is much better, and I look forward to re-testing my labs in a few months. My body seems to be in full healing mode. Fantastic experience: Professional is the perfect descriptor word all around. From initial exploration of what services they provide, all the way thru walking out the door after surgery. We were looking for a biological dentist to help explore undiagnosed health oddities, that no other medical specialist seemed to have answers for. Little did we know just how foundational oral health is to full body health. Brain fog, extreme fatigue, body aches, head pressure, the list goes on and on The main difference here is that they have imaging and diagnostic tools to see exactly what’s going on in your head/mouth. So no guessing involved. I appreciated this greatly. Extraction of infected root canals, cavitations, and other compromised teeth… were root cause of most our health ailments. Fantastic experience: This week I had 4 cavitations cleaned out by Dr Chandler. I was very nervous but the staff made me feel comfortable. The oral work went extremely well. Fantastic experience: I was so impressed with the type of low radiation x rays and the bone scan to help me to work with my dentist on a treatment plan. I had no idea that I could have a bone issue in the back upper and lower jaw that was affected by my wisdom teeth removal many years ago. The team explained everything and Wally was especially helpful in explaining what happens to the bone and how infection can sit in there for many years. Dr. Chandler took a lot of time explaining the process of having an old root canal removed, what I can do to help my body cope with the abscess along the gum line by the root canal that clearly has an issue even though I don't feel any pain. I've been to biological dentists in the past, but I at Summit View, I felt like they treatment me as an individual and they cared about my overall health. I look forward to seeing the changes in my body as these long standing undetected issues are safely addressed.

I experienced very little bruising, swelling, or pain following my cavitation surgery. During a crown procedure several days after surgery, Dr. Chandler was the gentlest, most intentional dentist I've ever experienced. Fantastic experience: If you're interested in truly advanced and well researched dental care, this is the place you should be going. You need a biological dentist as they can make a tremendous difference in not only your dental health, but the health of your entire body. For instance, cavitations are very problematic for health and regularly lead to heart attacks. This is one of the things that they look for and will treat them if you have any.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Dr Chandler and the entire staff were awesome. I had 2 cavitations surgeries and several amalgams removed. I looked pretty rough getting out of there but by the time I returned to my hotel I was feeling better overall than before the procedure. No swelling or soreness. They sent me home with lots of supplements, silver rinses, red light therapy and more. It’s now the end of second day since procedure. I’m feeling great. Eating soft foods only for now but hope to be fully mended soon. I’m hoping my auto immune issues improve now that the metal fillings are gone along with the infections that have been hiding in those cavitations for years. Negative experience: Been struggling after my normal treatments. (No major surgeries yet I had wanted next to address cavitations issues except we can't seem to finish my first normal treatments without issues) A few points unresolved: (after months) Open hole from filling that fell out Broken tooth from filling falling out Misaligned and painful jaw since fillings Been in twice to adjust My dentist quit My appointment was cancelled because i couldn't answer the phone while driving to the appointment in the canyon- it's fine-but they cancelled my son's right after– who got out of school and would have been early for his appointment ? No apologies and they sternly rescheduled for his infected tooth to be checked later put us another week out... Messed him up real good with so much pain and we were physically at the office when she told me they went ahead and cancelled his appointment that we were early for. My bite has changed after my fillings so much that at my first check they didn't see any signs of grinding ... After, now, my bite has changed, and I've been in twice to correct both sides still not aligning and now my teeth touch and push my jaw forward causing significant grinding and pain at night. My teeth are wearing down. My whitening kit, they said was only the beginning, one part ordered, which made sense since it was only enough for two sessions?... But the rest never came and i don't think it was the right kit originally ordered, they haven't been able to get back to me and since the dentist i used has quit so it remains unsolved, bonus–sadly now i use the whitening mold instead to help keep my teeth from grinding all day. I'll keep trying, I've loved the staff, and location– the cancelling of my kids appointment after waiting a month was very alarming since we had arrived and were early. And not getting things right or fixed is very disheartening. I'm actually up in the middle of the night because my jaw was hurting–it new sleep issues.

Fantastic experience: I had four cavitations repaired, two root candles front teeth pulled and two zirconia implants placed in after a 6 hour surgery. The staff were compassionate and understanding through the whole process from diagnosis to getting the surgery. Dr Chandler was knowledgeable, thorough, and kind all the way along too. Very professional. I was nervous about getting it all done at the same time but Dr. Chandler assured me it was the best way. When everything was done, my lower back, upper back, right shoulder, and right bottom of foot pain were gone. One of the best choices I’ve made!

Fantastic experience: There are varying skill and knowledge bases to be found in a dentist. Dr. Chandler is one of the best I have come across, and I've been to many good dentists. Oral health (plaque, implants, wisdom teeth removal, bacterial infections, etc.) is connected to total body health, including the cardiovascular, lymphatic/immune, and nervous systems. My health practitioner referred me to Dr. Chandler with glowing reviews and now I understand why. Some dental treatments can lead to disease, so I try to NOT cut corners in this area. Dr. Chandler replaced my problematic metal implant and redid cavitations not done correctly the first time. Given the research, I believe I have added years to my life, and higher quality ones at that. It's a privilege to go to a smart, steady, gentle, and integritable dentist. I feel better knowing that he uses the best tools, is trained by the Swiss Dental Society, and is a perfectionist with his work. Nothing but the best at this office.

Fantastic experience: I went across the country to get my abscessed root canal taken care of properly. I read all the literature and was a little nervous.No worries — I had the most wonderful experience. I experienced kindness, no pain whatsoever during or after a pretty complicated procedure that involved an implant. I would highly recommend this bio philosophy and this dentist’s office to anyone without hesitation. They also understood that I was traveling on the road and provided me all that I needed to be in a car for self-care post surgery. One of the top thing of this dental office is the amazing employees upfront. This is not always my experience at other doctor’s offices. They are simply wonderful. They’ll go the extra mile for you, and I cannot say enough great things. Five stars for sure for the entire office.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Geddes and Chandler (and their awesome staff) really understand total dental health and how dental health affects full body health. After taking what i felt was bad advice from my normal dentist regarding a troublesome root canal tooth, I made an introductory appointment with Summit View. Their approach to dental care enters a whole new realm of care and corrective work with the goal of improving overall full body health. The troublesome root canal that my prior dentist said was not a problem, was actually full of infection and was eating away my jawbone. Dr. Geddes was extremely thorough beginning with initial exam, explaining options, preparing for pre-op, surgery, and throughout the healing process. Very glad to have found them. Summit View gets a 5+ star rating from this patient!!!

Fantastic experience: This practice and Dr. Chandler had been recommended by several individuals, but I had not spoken with them before today. I had a virtual consultation with Dr. Chandler this morning, and it was really valuable. I had sent x-rays and a CT scan of my teeth ahead of time, and this allowed Dr. Chandler to give me a wealth of advice. His level of detail was amazing, and the clarity of his explanations was outstanding. I have had other dentists try to suggest certain treatments, but I always left too puzzled. Not this time. I felt we had all the time necessary for a full evaluation in order to start planning my care. 5 Stars and more!!

Fantastic experience: I very much enjoyed meeting Dr. Chandler on zoom and appreciated his thorough consultation. It was way more than I expected and detailed. I learned a lot, I never expected to have any cavitations but here we are. I also appreciated the input about my sinuses and will address that as well with my naturopath. I will need to do treatment here on the East Coast because Utah is little far from CT but I will see what I can do to follow this treatment plan as closely as possible.
