Fantastic experience: I have been going to Great Oaks dental for 20 plus years, since I was a child. The staff has always taken excellent care of my family and me. I can’t imagine going to another dentist!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this dentist office! Everyone there is really nice and helpful . Dr Pennington just fixed my front teeth and he did an amazing job. His assistant was great also and the rest have been as well. The ladies at the desk are really awesome too . Shout-out to the whole crew

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Great Oaks Dental did an excellent job. I had an issue on a Sunday afternoon so I called an left a message. Monday morning by 8:00 AM my call was returned. By noon on the same day I had an appointment and my problem was taken care of. Everyone was friendly, polite, and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I called Great Oaks Dental first thing this morning because I had a chunk of one of my front teeth just come out. I was very concerned and hoped I could get into the office today. From my initial panicked phone call with Kelly to Miguel’s steady and calming presence, I knew I was in good hands. When Dr. Thrailkill came in, I immediately was put at ease as it was not as bad as I thought. She put things back to get her with a perfect match and I walked out with a shiny knew “grill.” Or smile if you like that better. Time and time again this practice proves why I am a patient there. The positive professional climate is so appreciated. Keep up the great work y’all do!

Fantastic experience: What more can I say. Had tooth pain and they worked me in to get things checked out. Abcessed tooth. 30 minutes later with consult to endodontist and prescription for antibiotics. That is great service.

Fantastic experience: I was struggling with feeling unwell for weeks, my tooth was pressing on a nerve up the side of my face. They were quick to listen to me and offer solutions. I chose to have it pulled and they did a great job. I was feeling much better within a day.

Negative experience: Beware… I loved this dentist. I chose this when I moved here. I never had a problem until I had to have a molar removed that was infected from an old root canal. She assured me that they would give me medicine for the pain afterwards. They didn’t give me any medicine told me to take over-the-counter medicine which I did and it didn’t work for two days. I couldn’t open my mouth and the pain was unbearable.. The next procedure, which is to put a post in my bone, so a crown can be put in. I called them to find out about if they were going to give me medicine for pain when they put the post him and they don’t do that they don’t give out pain medicine. They made me feel like I was a pill head for asking for medicine which I needed and now I’m terrified of going back to the dentist. Thanks to them. . They told me they don’t give pain medicine and that they could have my records ready for me to go to another dentist and I was dismissed from their office after spending thousands . they don’t care about their patients they don’t care about their pain level or making them comfortable or just wanting them to come back to the office or not want them to be scared of the dentist which now I’m terrified so beware when you go .

Negative experience: LOOK OUT Such a disappointed I recently visited Great Oaks Dentist for a molar extraction and a post-placement for a crown, and I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The extraction was very painful, and although I asked if they were going to provide something for the pain, the dentist said yes but then didn’t follow through. I felt dismissed and made to feel like an addict for simply asking for pain relief. When it came to the post-placement, I inquired again about any pain management, especially since they were going to drill a metal post into my bone. To my shock, they offered no medication or pain relief. The lack of concern for my comfort and well-being during such an invasive procedure was appalling. When I voiced my concerns, they even suggested I could go somewhere else if I wasn’t satisfied. This is not how patients should be treated. The lack of empathy and proper pain management was unacceptable. I will be seeking dental care elsewhere, where patient care and comfort are taken seriously.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for years now. Could not ask for a better dentist. They have some of the best care and technology I've ever seen. They will go above and beyond to make sure the patients are taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Imagine the most scared, anxious, untrusting patients you can then multiply that by 10, that's how bad I am when I go to the denstist...so I don't go. In 2 of the worst visits possible (1 new patient exam & 2 having 2 molars extracted) Dr. Arms has changed my perspective. She listened to every irrational fear I had and assured me that everything would be fine, and it is! She heard my fears and issues and took out these 2 molars in just 1 hour and had me on my way home! I can't say enough good things about her and the staff there. They are welcoming, patient, kind and professional!!

From the first call speaking with Kelly I felt really cared for as a new patient and during the visit the entire staff was friendly and experienced. They squared my teeth up and were even able to fit me in for a cleaning due to a last minute cancellation. Great experience for me, wonderful people, and a knowledgeable staff!

I had a mystery dental issue that Dr. Pennington and his hygienist helped me identify, and they used every resource to help comfort me and get to the source of the problem. Negative experience: I Was told I have two cavities, went to another dentist only to discover I have none. Always get a second opinion. I had one ‘cavity’ filled by Great oaks dental and it’s still bothers me to this day. Very expensive. But they staff and dentist are very friendly.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent first experience with Great Oaks Dental recently. In search of a professional to remove a tooth with much bone loss and prepare it for an implant, I was referred to Dr. Pennington. Coming from Greenville, I managed to be late for my appointment but they fit me in all the same. I found Dr. Pennington to be very professional, knowledgable and helpful in finding a reasonable solution to my dental issue. I've scheduled him to perform the extraction and bone graft next month and am confident it will be a positive experience. Follow up: Five stars for the extraction! Dr.Pennington and his assistant were kind, attentive, thorough and professional. They were patient with my squeamishness and made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been seen at this Dentist office twice. First visit ever was an emergency visit for an infection. They got me in same day EVEN THOUGH I WAS A NEW PATIENT. The office staff were kind, the dentist was helpful. I knew then this was a home for my dental needs. So sure of this I also scheduled my wife and daughter new patient exams, as well as cleanings. I have also mentioned to friends and family to consider using them as well... I unfortunately had a jaw lump which was of concern to me , I called for consultation which resulted in them squeezing me in again same day. I simply couldnt be happier with this office.

So I though Great Oaks is close to home I’ll go and see if they could give me a consult, so I give them a call. Long story short 2 days later I am pain free and amazed by the job they did and how well my experience went. I highly recommend this establishment to ANYONE.
