Fantastic experience: My experience with A Caring Dentist was great. It did take a while for me to get a person on the phone but when I did they got me right in. I appreciate the care that Dr. Patel gave me. From the minute I registered and the dental hygienist that did the x-rays of my teeth. When Dr. Patel came in she explained everything to me and gave me opinions. I'm grateful that I finally got my tooth taken care of and I would recommend A Caring Dentist to anyone.

Positive experience: The hygienist was amazing! I felt that the doctor rushed the exam and never really talked to me about my past dental history. I was shocked when I got an estimate for a crown and core to find 3 other charges added. One they removed but the other 2 should've been included in the main procedure. I have no insurance and I felt like I was paying for those that did.

Fantastic experience: It had been awhile since I saw a dentist and I was very worried about going. Dr. Patel and the staff were very kind and patient. They explained everything as we went along and never once made me feel embarrassed about not seeing someone sooner. I would definitely recommend.

The staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring, which immediately put me at ease. Throughout the appointment, I was kept well-informed at every step. Once the initial x-rays, and photos were complete, Dr. Patel took the time to thoroughly review all areas of concern. She clearly explained the recommended treatment and gave me confidence to move forward. Dr. Patel eased my nervousness and hesitation, unlike other dental offices I have been too! I left feeling great! I recommend Dr Maitry Patel and A Caring Dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel and her staff are amazing! From the time you walk into the office you are welcomed with a friendly, smiling face. The office staff is warm and inviting. Dr Patel takes her time and explains diagnoses, shows you in the xrays and intra-oral photos where the cavities are. I was having discomfort on my lower left tooth, I called the office and was able to get in the same day. Dr. Patel came in and showed me exactly where the cavity was on the xray and also took intra-oral photos, which I really thought was helpful. Dr. Patel also explained the procedure, step by step. Terry discussed the fees with me, which was great. I was able to start the crown on the same day and able to leave pain free. I am so thankful for A Caring Dentist and Dr. Patel!

Negative experience: Leaving after 8 years…not the same practice with the new owner. The previous dentist and his staff were wonderful (that is where the good reviews are from). I saw Dr. Patel and didn’t care for her personality at all. She claimed I had 3 cavities but I had zero 6 months before so found it hard to believe. I asked that the other dentist (name started with a T) do the fillings…She had trouble even finding one of the “cavities” so I do not believe it was even there. She was nice but absolutely could not do a filling properly. I went back twice after my tooth was unnecessarily filled and done poorly on top of it. Now a tooth that had zero problems is causing pain on the bottom molar due to added pressure since it wasn’t filed down right even though returning multiple times. I will not return and now must find someone to fix their mess up. My family will not go here ever again either. They make up things you don’t need, and lack in skill. This once great practice that the previous dentist built is just not the same which is unfortunate . I waited several weeks before this review because I don’t like leaving negative reviews but as this pain that I never should have had to deal with in the first place continues…I feel it necessary to warn others. Go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Great experience at this dental office especially after bad experience at a large franchise dental office that pressures you into cookie cutter treatment plans. ‘A Caring Dentist’ office staff Terence and Karen are courteous efficient and professional. The multiple hygienists are informative, kind and qualified. Dr Desai is ‘one of a kind’. He is competent, explains processes and recommendations well but WITHOUT PRESSURE. He gives an individualized treatment plan. He is super compassionate, friendly and truly depicts characteristics of a caring dentist.

Fantastic experience: All staff was kind, considerate, and competent. The doctor is fabulous!!! I love seeing what she is explaining to me on the tv screen at my patient chair. She explained the x rays as well as diagnoses from the intra oral camera. She was very professional and we will definitely make her our new Florida dentist!

They are honest, cost-conscious as they always check what my insurance covers and very caring. Secondly, a few days ago I had a deep cleaning completed and Dr. Patel's assistant is the best. Making sure every tooth is done right. She takes pride in her work, very gentle and patience comparing to the many dentist I visited in the past rushing to get rid of you. . I know I can count on "A Caring Dentist" for all my services in the future and highly recommend this office. They are honest. My annual cleaning was completed (4 times per yr) by Aneeska on March 19, 2025. She did a fantastic job. Painless! I must say walking in Dr. Patel’s office gives me peace of mind, especially Ms. Karen greeted me with her smiling face. Caring dentist has the best staff in Wesley Chapel.

Negative experience: My mother unknowingly visited this place before consulting me. Predatory practice that will treatment plan unnecessarily. I would avoid and find a dentist who graduated from US based dental practice from the get go. When treatment planning, charging a patient for two gingivectomies for same area is predatory. Charging a patient zirconia fee and PFM high noble material fee is predatory (they are two different materials). There are so many additional fees that are added to treatment plan to take advantage of patients that do not know dental care. Coming from a dental professional, highly recommend anyone to have a second opinion or just save your money and do not go.

Negative experience: The previous dentist/owner Dr. Parasher was a good guy. Since this place changed owners, this place will want you to get an unneeded deep cleaning. I was told I needed that and if I did not get it would be termed as neglect. I got up and left. I went to another Dentist and had NO problems. Then they had the nerve to send me an email to reschedule my visit. SMH

My most recent appointment was for a cleaning which Anush or Anusha (sorry don’t remember the correct spelling) did a great job. My last cleaning was done by P.G. Who also did a a wonderful job. Karen the office manager has always been extremely helpful whenever I needed anything. Terry the receptionist greets everyone with a smile and a helpful manner. Then there is Dr. Patel whose gentle hands and knowledgeable dentistry puts you at ease as she patiently answers any questions.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to fl and was searching for a really great dentist and then I heard really great things about A caring dentist from a friend so I had to experience it for my self. I did not hesitate to make an appointment , the receptionist was very friendly as well as Karen the office manager. Overall my experience was greater than I had expected, because it was a very friendly and non toxic environment , made me feel comfortable enough with them since going to a dentist isn’t my thing. Fantastic experience: To be honest, I have be looking for a dentist for a while now and happened to come across A Caring Dentist. I’m proud to say I’m glad I came here. My initial impression of this office was warm and inviting due to the front desk being so cheerful and Pleasant, specifically Terrence, he was sooo nice. As I was taken to the chair for the visit, I didn’t have to wait long. The assistants greeted me and was nice. Dr. Patel came in and was welcoming especially because I was a new patient who didn’t like going to the dentist so much. She made me feel comfortable about coming into a dentist office. She was understanding and addressed my concerns accordingly. I was very happy about my visit and looking forward to the next visit. I recommend coming to A Caring Dentist! 10/10!

Negative experience: In response to my review on 09/08/23, the Caring Dentist replied & after some research [I would like to share my finding/responses detailed in brackets]. Hi Kristine, [my name is spelled incorrectly] We are sorry for your experience with our office. First of all we would like to inform you that this practice has been under new ownership and management since the last several months [A Caring Dentist remains under the ownership of Proactive Dental Business License established June 1, 2018, no change in ownership, with the exception of the LLC amendment in June, 2022 identifying the removal of manager from D Patel; however M Patel remains an active manager & has been since Proactive Dental was established in 2018 ] and we strive to provide high quality care with utmost honesty and respect for each and every one of our patients. In order to protect the privacy of the patients we cannot go into the details but here is a brief explanation of the situation. After reviewing this matter, it seems the patient requested our new billing department to file claims for services rendered in 2021 under the previous ownership and management [Knowingly false – following my appointment I spoke with the front desk admin Karen, who has been the POC for the ongoing issue, no new ownership was indicated or present for the conversation] Please note that in cases like these we have limitations on what we can and cannot do as the services were rendered under a doctor and administration that is no longer affiliated with the practice since the change of ownership [ I continue to be seen at the same business, name, & location with no advisement, notification, acknowledgement, or agreeance of exempt status of prior poor business practices related to change in “providers or ownership”] Additionally and more importantly, there are restrictions from insurance companies for timely filing of claims which had also potentially elapsed already in this case while the practice was still under previous ownership [This is incorrect, I have verified with my insurance company, & the claim is still within an acceptable time period, however, the significant lapse in time is due to the business practices of this clinic & should the timeframe lapse, it would be the fault of the Caring Dentist, as I began addresses the situation starting August, 2022]. However, despite these limitations, in order to help the best we can, our billing department did submit claims in June of 2023 [Knowingly false – no claim has been filed with my insurance since Dec 2022. The claim for my June 2023 visit has yet to be submitted]. At that time, the patient was also given the option to submit their own claim with supporting documents which was declined [False, I was never given the option to file my own claim, in fact I requested on multiple occasions for copies of the claims so that I could resolve the situation. I was promised multiple times that I would receive copies of the claims but never fulfilled, which is incredibly concerning], then advised our staff that it would not be submitted by the dental office and we obliged [This statement makes no sense. The only discussion was r/t the letter sent by my insurance requesting additional info from my Dentist to complete the Invisalign claim.]. We are sorry for any misunderstanding that might have occurred and the frustrations this has caused, but we have tried to help the best we can given the circumstances and the amount of time that has elapsed since the original service in 2021 [This was your opportunity to help me resolve the issue, but you chose to make knowingly false claims in an attempt to discredit my claims, & absolve of any responsibility under statements of “new ownership & management”. These actions are not representative of a “Caring” dentist. All I asked for was help completing claims or provide me copies of that claims that should have been already completed so that I could continue the matter with my insurance, but instead you’ve chosen to be devious & malicious, but I will continue to pursue this issue]
