Fantastic experience: I HAVE TERRIBLE DENTAL ANXIETY BUT DR YANG WAS AMAZING. MY ROOT CANAL WAS PAINLESS AND THE STAFF ARE ALL KIND!

Fantastic experience: I went for a consult yesterday based on a recommendation from my regular dentist and I was very impressed with the practice. They got me in quickly, everyone was super friendly (including the woman that did my xrays and got me prepped for the doctor) and Dr. Yang was amazing. She was thorough and talked to me in a way that helped me understand my options. I also feel like she didnt push one option over the other, which really made me happy. I would definitely recommend Dr. Yang and Endodontic associates of MD.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Parson is very caring and a wonderful communicator. He explains things in a way that is easy to understand. I was very relaxed during my root canal. No pain whatsoever.

Fantastic experience: I was extremely nervous to get a double root canal. Dr. Parsons & his staff were amazing! It was a smooth process & I didn’t feel a thing.

Negative experience: Dr was great but they did 2 types of X-rays which made no sense to me seeing how I had the X-rays in my folder and I was under the impression since he did not need the root canal that the consult and X-rays were covered through my insurance. I paid the additional fee cause I had to get a note to take my son back to school from his 5 minute appointment there. I did call back to try to speak to an office manager but had to leave a message about the situation. Awaiting a call back about the additional fee that was not part of any estimate I was sent. I got an estimate if they needed to do root canal if not there should not have been a $123.50 charge.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Yang did my root canal today. Very smooth procedure. Not feeling any pain or discomfort at all throughout, even as she reminded me of any possible upcoming discomfort. It’s my first time not feeling any pain during anesthesia too. Greatly recommend her.

Negative experience: Poor customer service translates into poor customer care so with that being said, I chose not to get my root canal done here. It’s a shame because they were actually referred to me by my orthodontist. When I called the receptionist answered like she was answering her cellphone. Her attitude was so nasty, distasteful, and she was no help whatsoever. She acted like she couldn’t find my restoration letter then when I asked her if she was sure she didn’t see it I guess she actually made an effort to look this time, and miraculously found it then made a smart remark about it being emailed “such a long time ago” I didn’t know 3-4 months was so long ago that she wouldn’t be able to see it in the system. I asked her why the price was $300 more from the initial price I was given and her response after getting quiet was “so do you want to schedule the appointment or not” that was it for me. I decided to take my $1600 somewhere else because although she was just the receptionist, I didn’t trust going here because if you don’t have enough respect over the phone, I have to question the respect and care of whomever will be handling my teeth. I wasn’t willing to put my mouth/teeth at potential risk.

Positive experience: Had a good experience with my root canal here. Dr. Parsons and staff provided great information on both the procedure and the various outcomes assessed afterwards. The procedure was a tad rougher than my prior one, and did leave my jaw sore for more than 5 days due to trismus, which because of my background, I was able to treat with TENS, US, moist heat and ibuprofen.

Fantastic experience: I had a scheduled evaluation with Dr Parsons for a possible redo of an old root canal performed by a dentist several years ago. Dr Pasons did a thorough exam of my tooth and gave me his advice not to have another root canal on my tooth, based upon the pictured image of the tooth. Dr Parsons and I discussed further what was possibly the best options for me to pursue as a solution. Instead of risking what could possibly be a non-effective root canal procedure, Dr Parsons referred me back to my dentist for corrective actions as the best outcome. From my conversation with Dr Parsons, I believe he has a genuine concern for me and my health as his patient and wants nothing less than the best outcome for me and my dental care. I'd recommend Dr Parsons of Endodontics Associates of Maryland to all that need these services.

Fantastic experience: With Dr. Parsons, there is no need to fear a root canal. You quickly know you are in the hands of an expert, and on top of that you are in the presence of a practitioner that wants to ease your stress, assure you his goal is to make the experience as comfortable as possible, and his gentle and quiet nature evokes trust. I received a root canal on Monday which went very well (and I fear ANY dental procedure), and on top of that, the recovery was pain free--this spoke volumes about the gentleness and expert care during the procedure.

Negative experience: Extremely Disappointed – Unreasonable Upfront Charges I was referred to Endodontic Associates of Maryland - Hagerstown at 1150 Omega Drive for evaluation of a root canal issue. When I called to schedule an appointment, I was told I had to pay $2,400 upfront — before even being examined or properly diagnosed. I was shocked and found this completely unacceptable. After discussing it with a family member, I got a second opinion from another dental office. That office examined me, explained my situation, prescribed antibiotics, and only charged $190 after the visit — no money was demanded upfront. My experience with Endodontic Associates of Maryland felt like a money-first, patient-second approach. I would not recommend this office to anyone. I strongly advise others to get a second opinion before agreeing to any high, unexplained charges.

Fantastic experience: I needed a root canal redo. From the front desk all the way through it was a great experience. I wish I knew the name of the young lady in dark blue scrubs that checked me. She was professional yet friendly. The dental assistant, Melissa, was a shining star. She was so friendly, positive and upbeat. Dr. Yang was professional yet extremely personable. When she came in and introduced herself as Grace, I knew I was in good hands. She was not self-impressed with her degree and didn’t feel the need for you to be either. Yet from my outcome she knew exactly what she was doing, and I have no pain or issue since. I highly recommend this practice.

Positive experience: To start, entering the facility there was no greeting. The receptionist looked up from computer and then went back to it. Very unwelcoming. After a few minutes of silence, I started the conversation by just saying my name and was told to have a seat nothing else. No one introduced themselves. I had to ask their names. Felt very awkward. As for the procedure, the root canal procedure went well and painless. The procedure was thoroughly explained and questions were answered. This was my second experience of a root canal and the first at another facility was horrible.

Fantastic experience: It started with the ladies up front. Very polite and friendly. Waited about 10 minutes and was taken back for some quick X-Rays. The assistant then took me to my chair and made me comfortable. The Endodontist and assistant were fantastic. They explained everything as we went along. All around excellent experience for a guy who is not a big “Dental” person. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: First time going. Needed a root canal. They got me right in and handled my referral with ease. Very transparent on price. Not only that they communicated with text for me. Soooooo convenient as I almost never answer the phone for numbers I don’t know. Clean well kept establishment. Quiet facility and welcoming. Thw staff were so kind. Procedure wasn’t bad at all. Dentist explained everything he was doing as he was doing it. Super appreciate that. Not only that at the end he walked me to the check out desk. Most dentist act like they can’t be bothered with you and rush to the next patient. Nope his bed side manner was A+. I 100% would recommend them!!!!

Positive experience: Dr Diab explained all my options and helped choose the right one. My only complaint is that my insurance is taken there and they did not put it thru and I ended up paying out of my own pocket which I should not have had to do.

Negative experience: This office is not professionally managed. I had to schedule this appointment at this location because I was leaving for vacation the following week. I needed a root canal, and did not want to be in pain during my trip. I live 2 hours from the office. I confirmed my appointment at 9am via text. I completed the documentation that was sent to me for the appointment. Arrived at my appointment 20 minutes early. After I checked in, I was asked if I had a referral. I did not but was told they were contacting my dental office to have it emailed. I heard them call the office and request the document. There were over 4 front desk employees. We made small talk for about 30 minutes. When I was finally taken back, I had a scan completed of my mouth. I got in the chair and the dentist confirmed I would need a root canal to save my tooth. I was then told there was not enough time before the next patient was scheduled to complete the procedure. I was told my dentist took to long to send my referral. If they had verbal confirmation from my dentist, why couldn’t they start treating me while waiting for the email? If I had to confirm I was coming to my appointment 2.5 hours before it was scheduled, why didn’t anyone look to ensure my documentation was on file? After I was informed that I would not be having my tooth fixed, I was charged $300 for the scan. I requested a copy of my records (so that I would not have to pay for another scan). While I was waiting, one of the employees went outside by the front door to check on seedlings she was growing in red solo cups. It's nice of management to let employees garden while they're on the clock (especially since they take such good care of documentation). I left the office at 1pm. There were no other patients in the office aside from the gentleman that was checking out when I was checking in.

Fantastic experience: A very well organized top-notch organization. When I entered, the receptionist greeted me right away and knew why I had made the appointment. Earlier in the week I received a text telling me that my insurance had been pre-approved and what my out-of-pocket expenses would be. I waited just a few minutes and the assistant called me back and took me for x-rays and then took me to a treatment room where she showed me the x-rays and explained her interpretation and said the doctor would go into much more detail. When Dr Yang came in she explained in more detail what she saw and zoomed in on things and explained there could be multiple options for l treatment and asked me what I thought would be best for me. She spoke softly and soothing throughout the whole procedure and I never felt that she was rushed to move on to the next patient. She continued explaining everything she was doing and what she saw and I was in the chair almost an hour. The root canal caused less discomfort than a filling. She used a surface numbing agent before she put the lidocaine in with the syringe and there really was very little pain. After the procedure was over I took Tylenol twice and that was it. Before I left the assistant explained post-op care and gave me instructions including Dr Yang's cell phone number if something happened or I had concerns after office hours. I can't thank them enough for doing such a wonderful job and taking their time to explain everything so thoroughly. I felt like I was the only person in the office. Pretty amazing staff that really worked well together making sure I was taken care of. I was even told I could come back at a later date for a checkup if I wanted or had any concerns

Fantastic experience: I was here for a Root Canal. It actually didn't hurt at all. The only pain I had was the initial injection for numbing a it needs to get to the jaw bone nerves. After that, I just listened to my headphones and relaxed. They did everything in house so it was easy. Care instructions were brief and told to get finished with my regular dentist. Short period between contacting and getting scheduled and cared for. Thanks to the team.
