Fantastic experience: As a new patient, I arrived early and was taken for my appointment on time. All staff were personable, x-ray tech was careful taking the x-rays as it can be painful. She did an excellent job placing the devices so I did not experience pain. The Hygienist was thorough and I felt did a good job with the cleaning. Dr. Matt reviewed my x-rays and explained his observations in a clear manner I could understand. Overall an excellent experience. I would highly recommend Dr. Matt for anyone looking for a new Dentist.

Sam expertly took the x-rays and from there Heather, the dental hygienist, did a great job with the cleaning. Fantastic experience: Excellent service with my dental cleaning and then with the MD I had three teeth that had to be worked on to remove old fillings and replace with new fillings and a couple of cracks in a small cavity. I wanted to do this without any lidocaine. And I did it worked out great with minimal pain. Thank you for excellent service!

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a great dentist, I highly recommend YUCCA VALLEY DENTAL GROUP. My hygienist was Sheridan and she was absolutely amazing! She was super friendly and made my first visit enjoyable (the rest of the staff were friendly as well) The doctor that came to see me, Dr Matthew del la Rionda was very nice and personable. I’m big on who I see, (doctors, nails, hair etc) and this place was worth my time and worth talking about. I’m really glad I chose this office to come to!

I very much appreciate how he explains all of my options to me, and narrates what he's doing as he does it, which eliminates nearly all of my anxiety. Heather is my most excellent hygienist. Marlene in back is also wonderful, while Savannah and Stephanie at the front desk always exemplify phenomenal patient care. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Matt and his associates.

I loved the transparency with the estimate. $199 for 1 wisdom tooth removal(with insurance) while being under anesthesia. I'll update after my surgery next week. Totally recommend

Fantastic experience: My grandmother KK, was the patient. She had nothing but good things to say about her experience. She didn’t have a long wait in the lobby. Tonie brought her to the room where she had X-rays taken. Tonie was professional and friendly, my grandma says she was funny too. The X-rays were quick and painless. (grandma is a retired hygienist, so this is an excellent compliment). Heather was wonderful. My grandmother had self diagnosed her type of cleaning before visiting the office and Heather explained the same thing, which made grandma real happy. Heather is professional and a great hygienist. Dr Matthew, grandma had a wonderful experience here and will definitely recommend your office to others.

Fantastic experience: Never anything but good vibes at Yucca Valley Dental Group. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Negative experience: Not reviewing the quality of services but would cautious anyone on this office's ethics. I came here after years of excellent care from another dentist who said my teeth were fine (only reason I left is that I changed insurance and they did not take my new insurance). Trusting Dr. De La Rionda’s reviews, I booked a visit but I was seen by another dentist. The appointment went well, but then they pushed deep cleaning on me even though my prior dentist's office (which cleaned my teeth every 3 months for the last 7 years) had deemed it unnecessary. I trusted them and went through with it, but I came to regret it. Right after deep cleaning, they scheduled me to see an endodontist that works with them. The endodontist claimed that I needed costly, invasive flap surgery. Being such an invasive procedure, I questioned the procedure and gave them the chance to explain how could my prior dentist be so wrong about my dental health, but they were unable to give me a straight answer. Not once did they ask to see my prior records. Alarmed, I got a second opinion from a reputable office, which confirmed that I do not need flat surgery. I understand that this may be a matter of opinion but flap surgery is a serious procedure, and other dentists who have seen me around the same time said that I did not need this, and for this reason I would not recommend this office (note: I am not questioning the quality of the services nor the dentists who saw me there, including Dr. De La Rionda who seem to be a fine dentist).

Fantastic experience: Dr. De La Rionda went above and beyond when my girlfriend was in severe dental pain. He called us back over the weekend after we reached out on the emergency line and saw her first thing Monday morning. He was kind, thorough, and professional—took a CT scan, prescribed the right meds, and referred us to an endodontist right away. Truly compassionate care. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to YVDG since 2022 when I had to rush in for a broken crown. The care I was given then was compassionate and constructive. Everyone at the office is helpful and supportive and I never get anxious when I see my appointment on the calendar. Today I had my regular appointment and the dental hygienist was careful to work around my bruised lip and I felt calm and relaxed throughout the cleaning and the exam.

Negative experience: They told me I needed a bunch of work done that would be very expensive, and when I got a second opinion at a different dentist I only needed a few fillings for a fraction of the cost. Found out at the new dentist that yucca valley dental had sent someone else’s x rays to them ( HIPAA violation!!) and that the treatment plan they had made for me at yucca valley dental resembles the random person’s x rays they sent. This leads me to believe that Yucca Valley Dental Group is a total scam; avoid them at all costs!

Negative experience: The worst dentist I've ever been to. I went two months ago, and they told me I needed surgery and that they would contact my insurance. I've been waiting almost two months, now going on three, and haven't received a single call. I just called, and they said they don't currently have anyone in coordination and that I should wait until they have one—whenever that may be. I mean, I've already waited two months, almost three, and I urgently need this surgery, and they don't know what to say. Horrible. The poor girl at the front desk is completely lost. Don’t come here. Oh, and I almost forgot—I also called about a referral because my other dentist is asking for one to a specialist I’ve never even seen, and they told me they need to send a referral form. I told that to the other dentist's office, and they laughed at how ridiculous that sounds. How are they going to ask for a referral to a dentist I’ve never seen? I'm going to them because these other ones won’t see me. Ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: I hate starting up with a new dentist office, you never know how it’s going to go however I am kicking myself for not getting set up with them sooner! This was the greatest dental experience I have ever had. From the first phone call setting up new patient with Erica (I hope that’s her name), I was so pleased with how friendly she was and did not seem at all bothered by my questions. The women who did my X-rays was also personable. Dr. Matthew’s was a breath of fresh air, he was so informative and did not at all make me feel shame regarding any teeth issue which is unlike any other experience I had. I believe her name was Marlene(if not I’m so sorry, the women who was the first office by the door) she cleaned my teeth so gently and patiently, she was friendly, took her time and also didn’t make me feel bad for any issues. My teeth feel so clean without any pain afterwards. Lastly, the women who handles insurance and getting quotes took her time explaining everything to me and getting different quotes and entertaining my millions of questions. I am 100% so glad I listened to my friend and came here, I will be recommending this place to anyone who asks! Any military spouse reading, they do accept United Concordia as of now :)

We moved my 9 year old daughter here from the pediatric dentist and even she is happy. Dr Matt and the hygienists are great and honest.
