Fantastic experience: I was visiting from out of town when my temporary crown unexpectedly fell out during my vacation. I was in a lot of pain and very worried. Unfortunately, it happened after the office had closed, so I had to leave a voicemail. The next morning, they were able to fit me into their schedule and replaced my temporary crown quickly and efficiently. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and gentle throughout the entire visit. Thanks to their excellent care, I was able to continue enjoying my vacation—and all the delicious food Traverse City has to offer! Thank you so much for your kindness and exceptional service.

Fantastic experience: First of all, Cheryl and Brooke make my day every time I see them. They are so kind and open to chatting. Nicolette is amazing when it comes to making sure I feel comfortable and informed with my dental health (she also holds a wonderful conversation). Dr. Hayley Popp is amazing, nice, and a wondeful person to talk with! Dr. Michael Hutchinson made sure to cover the appointment for my wife's invisaline while Dr. Popp was out; and I wasn't surprised to see how awesome he was. I haven't had the pleasure to work with Tiffany, Calista, or Jennifer--but I have heard their patients laugh and saw them leave with smiles. The staff is awesome and it is a good vibe. Insurance reimbursement was scary at first, but I pay up front and the team does the insurance invoicing so I see a check in the mail really quick. IGN, 11/10. Teeth health is important, this team will support you through your journey.

Negative experience: First & last time at this dentist. Had a cleaning with full X-rays done. The cleaning was good done by Nicolette. Came in on their new patient special being $245.00 which included cleaning & X-rays. Well, that suddenly went to $317.00. The dentist I felt was desperately looking for anything he could to make money . Said I had 2 old gold crowns that need replacement at a cost of $1852.00 (× 2 ) total of $3704.00 . Claimed he seen 2 small spots of decay under the crowns. One tooth had already had a root canal done, which renders it a "dead tooth". The other was DEFINITELY questionable. The hygienist said we need two more X-rays of said crowns, (even after a full panoramic &full mouth set of X-rays) which cost me another $73.00 at the desk. Nothing ever mentioned it would be a added cost to me. Found another dentist office to start going to , and they requested the X-rays from this office , which cost me ANOTHER $80.00 to fax them over. Next step now is to file a complaint to the better business bureau. I wanted this office to be a satisfying experience which turned out to be quite the opposite. Once again, be careful. I also need to add I go to dentist every 6 months and have my whole life. I have always taken care of my teeth.

Fantastic experience: Seems strange to say that I enjoy my dental visits. Nicolette is sweet, gentle and very thorough. She is soft spoken and informs me of what she’s doing at all times. The atmosphere in the office is quiet and comfortable. Everyone seems to be professional and all about making me comfortable. Dr Hutcheson is a happy guy. He takes time to chat a bit which I enjoy. All around I feel my experience at associates in family dentistry is very positive.

Fantastic experience: Arrived at my appt a bit early. Within a few minutes was taken in for my dental crown. Prep for the crown was done. About 1 1/2 hour later my crown was fitted and I was on my way home. Professional staff throughout the process.

Fantastic experience: Returning patient after one visit.. Nicolet was the best hygienist I have ever had. Answered all of my questions and concerns. With all of the chaos with insurance changing with ALL of the dds, you get what you pay for. After leaving a dds after 50 years, I was shocked how much more advanced this dds is. I tried a Delta Dental place, had the worst experience I have ever had, and returned here. I love it here. The coffee shop is a nice treat afterwards, too. Yes, Delta does not cover much, but if I have to shell out money, this place deserves it.

Fantastic experience: Calista was an excellent hygienist who went out of her way to explain things and answer all my questions. I highly recommend her! Dr. Popp drilled down a small area of my crown that was a little high and I felt so much relief when I left. Cheryl at the checkout desk was efficient and provided me with the forms I needed for insurance purposes. Great experience all around today!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hutchinson and staff were knowledgeable and supportive at an extremely difficult time in my life. I developed migraines, vomiting several times weekly, head and neck pain which impacted my life greatly. I had physical therapy, chiropractor care and primary care physician assisting with this as well. Dr. Hutchinson utilized his extensive training in Bruxism to decrease the many symptoms related to this disease. It is an intricate, time consuming process and he and his staff were compassionate and provided outstanding care. I recommend this process for those struggling with head, neck, migraines and other challenging medical conditions that are affected by Bruxism.

Everyone I encountered in this office was warm, friendly, and efficient. Dr Popp was meticulous, fast and precise and with a great sense of humor. The office is the loveliest dental office I've ever been in. I feel I really got lucky when I found this dental group.

Negative experience: My first appointment they gave me a write up of over 10,000 worth of dental repair they wanted to perform on me. They did four crowns. All of them felt majorly abnormal in my mouth. My bite was so off that my front teeth were no longer touching. I went in for 6 adjustments and still no change. I finally went to a better practice and they were appalled by how bad my bite was. They ended up having to re-do all 4 crowns. I’ve paid 5,000 to fix the bad work they did. Please avoid this place!

She’s absolutely terrified of the dentist and each time we go she yells, cries, and won’t let them touch her. The staff is super understanding and gentle with her. Some times we can get her to show the dentist her teeth so he can count them. Hopefully next time she will be more comfortable. The staff is extremely nice and patient.

Negative experience: Kid had multiple cavities worked on. It was clear as day that the doc lost patience as she became rude to my kid and I. She ignored my daughters cry's and pleas to take a break so she could breathe due to nose being plugged and pain. Doctor stopped and said she was done and left. Left kid crying and us sitting- unsure what to do next. Staff was clearly just as uncomfortable.
