Fantastic experience: I had such a phenomenal experience at CK family Dental. Right from the initial call to make appointment, the staff was extremely friendly, kind, professional and helpful. They answered all my questions and ensured I was prepared ahead of my visit. When I arrived, I had a very short wait time before I was seen by a very compassionate and competent hygienist. The icing on the cake was of course Dr Candace Kwakye herself! She was kind, gentle, thorough and explained everything to me in great detail. I have a treatment plan in place and I’m so grateful for the staff of CK Family Dental.

Positive experience: The only things I would change are 1) those xray mouth things really hurt, lol 2) exam and cleaning should be done during the same visit. Time isn't readily available for most of us. But staff was kind, the dentist was knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Just realized two years ago they made me pay more than i should have. I was a student trying to figure out how the insurance worked. I already paid around $400 up front. Yet I received the insurance EOB shows i owe $650 ish. In my head i thought i still owed $650 more but instead of explaining me they made me pay $650 more and $400 in $1050 ish in total. I am still mad about it. I was scammed.

Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable and friendly staff who always takes me on time and makes me comfortable from the moment I arrive until I walk out the door. They also play great music! Going to the dentist is never scary, but a pleasure with Drs Keith, Kwakye and their staff! Dr Keith has retired but left the practice in Dr Kwakye’s most capable hands. Today she painlessly filled a deep cavity. I also appreciate that the patient cost responsibility is thoroughly explained prior to the work being done so there are never any surprises. Can’t recommend this practice highly enough!!

Negative experience: They hurt me and weren't gentle or kind. The dentist hygienist rushed. The water jet made me bleed. I was swallowing blood. The sharp things hurt me. Like if I had perfect teeth I still wouldn't have a partner because I'm ugly. So there's no use for white plague free teeth. I'll drink my coffee and tea thanks for nothing. So painful and they didn't understand I was autistic. I'm sorry I can't talk out loud. The loud noises and sensory experience makes me suffer mentally. Also just because I have wisdom teeth doesn't mean they have to be out. I would want a better doctor who's gentle and kind if they have to go out. But I still want to be wise. I have sensory issues. I don't want to feel overpowered or powerless again. I got trauma. All the water from the sprayer got on my face. I wish they understood what autism is. I hate myself and I hate life. The world would be better if everyone was gentle and kind. I asked for two things and they couldn't give it to me. Not worth coming here and getting a toothbrush. I can get one for a dollar at H-mart. The other doctor who retired a long time he was nice and gentle. And all they said was you need to floss more. Well I didn't have floss. My parents are poor and I don't even have new underwear. If I can't afford underwear why get floss. Plus where is all the floss in the store. I cried so many times when they were shoving their fingers in my mouth but they didn't see because of the sun glasses. I sure cried after. Going to the dentist shouldn't make me relive trauma, cry and want to die.

Every person that helped me—the person in the phone who helped me schedule the appointment, the people working at the check-in desk, the person who took my x-rays, the dental hygienist who did my cleaning, and Dr. Somlar—were so lovely, patient, professional, and transparent with me every step of the way. They explained everything clearly and discussed payment transparently. They left me with a brighter smile and a goody bag! I can’t recommend this office enough. Negative experience: My hygenist didn t know how to work x-ray machine. I kept choking during cleaning proceedure. Finally, i asked to spit. The suction machine pulled on my gum , but left liquid for me to swallow. My teeth weren't really cleaned in the end. I Heard a few times that it was hard to clean my teeth because of food on them. After i was ready to leave, i realized my teeth in back weren t really cleaned. So the doctor told me to take it up w assistant. Then there was a second try . My mouth neck and tongue weren't checked for a growth. I needed to explain that my teeth were sensitive and needed numbing before cleaning. I asked if numbing for cleaning was in my former notes. Congradulations on baby boy! I just felt as though no one knew me or my dental history. The front desk was pleasant.

Negative experience: Was called and told my insurance was no longer accepted. No references . That’s it . Guess I need a new dentist . This is America

Negative experience: I had a concerning experience today. A couple of years ago, Dr Keith put a crown on my front tooth. He has since retired. I had a chip come off from the back of the crown last week. I called, told them it was not an emergency and was given an appointment today. I arrived on time and after a brief chat with the new dentist, was left sitting for 1 and 1/2 hours. I was also told the filling would probably not hold and there were other cracks in the crown. Would probaly need replacement. I've had implants and crowns for years. I've had an old implant fail, but NEVER an issue with a crown. I am very dissatisfied and will not return to this practice.

Dr. Keith explains what needs to be done and whether it needs to be watched, done eventually, or done now. The quality of the work that he has done for me has been excellent without exception. I can highly recommend Dr. Keith and his practice.

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of being a patient with CK family dental for eight years. I had An emergency dental appointment with Dr. KWAKYE on April 2. I have never experienced a more gentle Dentist in my entire life. And after she completed my dental work I open my mouth, and it looked like the work of an artist. Fantastic experience: This is such a great dental practice. The staff is wonderful- from the front desk to the dental assistants to the dentist, they all are incredibly kind and welcoming. I think it’s fair to say most people don’t enjoy going to the dentist, but the lovely women here make the task a little less daunting. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable during your treatment and also (atleast with my insurance plan) offer very affordable prices for treatments like crowns and fillings. The tech was expert in measuring and honing it so that the final they ordered was a perfect fit. They worked with my insurance company to resolve billing issues.

Each one of the staff were awesome! The process was wonderful, there was new and innovative technology used and it was beautiful inside. Fantastic experience: Dr. Dana Keith had been my dentist for almost two decades. As someone whose rare dental visits in the 1940s as a child were truly painful and frightening, I carried my aversion to dentists through many decades of poor and declining oral health…until Dr. Keith. It took a year or two to get my teeth and gums into good order, and there they have stayed, thanks to him and his remarkable staff. But with his retirement, Dr. Kwakye has taken over his practice, maintaining his level of professional care while adding a very personal touch in client relationships and dental care. Someone very dear to me has avoided dental care due to a bad experience earlier in her life. One visit to Dr. Kwakye has changed all that, and she is now a confident client on her way to complete dental health. Bravo, Dr. K! t

Fantastic experience: This is my first time visiting this office and everyone was very polite. Dr. Kwakye was very nice as well and very informative. I felt very comfortable with her and the assistant. I forgot the assistant’s name, but she was lovely as well. I’m sorry. They were able to fit me in to redone an old filling after my consult. Fantastic experience: From start to finish, this was an amazing experience! I was in so much pain physically and emotionally lol from a tooth that desperately needed to be filled in. I'm so happy this whole experience was one of offering the best solution because dentists can use pain as exploitation. Not here! They asked for my input and feedback every step of the way and did not start the work I needed to be done until I was brought to the speed of the financial responsibility. The assistant was so cool and attentive. The Dentist was one of my favorites. She's very down to earth and concerned about comfort and practicality. I wish this place was open on Saturdays! Fantastic experience: I have “dentist phobia” . Pain is the main reason for my current visit. Within minutes of sitting in the “chair”, I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed by everyone who interacted with me. My blood pressure went from 152/92 to 134/84 . Everyone was able to take my attention away from my pain and fear by making the visit seem like it was a reunion rather than the dreaded EXTRACTION. Dr. Kwakye did the extraction and she deserves the highest compliment for her professionalism. She did my extraction with minimal bleeding and completely pain free. I think I have found a dental family for the future.
