Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Huntsville Family Dental. My temporary crown had fallen off a couple of times, and my original permanent crown broke, but the staff worked with me and got the replacement crown put on. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. I appreciate them taking care of the issue and getting everything fixed.

Fantastic experience: Popped an inlay loose while flossing Saturday evening-- called Monday and was able to get in early Tuesday morning--was pleasantly surprised to find that the inlay was acceptable to just be re-installed --in and out in under 40 minutes with minor charges. Staff and dentist were very attentive and professional --am relatively new to this facility but have been consistently impressed by everyone

Deep down, I knew it would probably be a lot, and it is, but every single staff member made me feel so comfortable and cared for from the moment I walked in. The way everyone took the time to explain everything clearly, answer my questions, and reassure me throughout the process soothed my anxiety in the best way possible. Instead of feeling judged or overwhelmed, I left feeling hopeful and confident that I can actually get everything taken care of with the care plan we created. I’m so grateful for the kindness, patience, and compassion this office showed me. If you’ve been putting off going to the dentist out of fear or embarrassment, I truly recommend coming here.

They didn’t do anything that wasn’t necessary for a 89 yr old, like recommending stuff that wasn’t really needed for her age. I appreciate that. She doesn’t have dental insurance and they worked with her in that too. Our entire family goes here. Staff is sweet. Wait times minimal.

I was having severe pain in a tooth and they were able to slot me into their schedule two days before Christmas. They referred me to an endodontist who did a root canal on Christmas Eve. I am thankful for the friendly, caring support. Today, Christmas Day, I’m out of pain thanks to the excellent service I received.

Negative experience: Beware of the dentist with a drill yelling at you…yelling at you in Spanish! I still have no idea what she was screaming. My experience with Dr. Escobar to get a crown on a broken tooth, in my opinion, was the worst dental experience I have ever had. I am new to this area and finding and going to a new dentist is already stressful enough. No one should ever have to put up with all this yelling and snarky remarks from a dentist. I am 65, have 4 crowns, multiple root canals and fillings; I have had many dentists. This brutal marathon visit took almost three hours. I think maybe a few more breaks from drilling to swallow or breathe would have been nice. Or maybe more numbing, as I jumped multiple times from the pain. I don’t think I should have felt that! And then her snarky remarks started, trying to school me on turning my head enough was childish and disrespectful! I couldn’t turn my head, because the nitrous gas hose was hung up under the chair. I had to wave my arms to get her to stop drilling and fix the stupid hose. To add to this calamity, she needed to take 3 impressions not just one - which was not on me, but another snarky reply! At that point, I had had enough and I let the f word slip, “How much longer?” - and again, another snarky schooling verse on cursing at her dentist office. OMG!, Really? But the “final straw”was her grabbing me by both shoulders, yelling at me in Spanish and then abruptly leaving the room, leaving her hygienist to finish! Totally uncalled for, unacceptable and unprofessional… and without any apology! I left knowing I was NEVER coming back to this dentist. Unfortunately for me, I was not able to find a new dentist that would seat another dentist’s crown, so I would have to go back one more time. UGGG. Three weeks of pain from the temporary crown and shredded gums, the new crown was in. I got my new crown seated, but again, no apology from Dr. Escobar. No recommendation from me. Be Very Suspicious of only 5 star reviews! Editing to only show 5 star reviews is covering up something!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Huntsville Family Dental provided a professional and friendly experience for my first visit.

Negative experience: I called day before for information and let them no clear as day that my tooth needed pulled and that I couldn't pay today but would be willing to have bill sent to veteran hospital. Had me hold awhile and what should of been told to me is they charge you 100$ for an x-ray and 3 minutes with a "doc" who id be surprised if has a degree from school with low acceptance rate. More then likely if you can pay and copy and paste you good. They insinuated that was a "treatment plan" that bill could be worked out. In terms and agreements says "if not paid in 90 days....etc". I paid basically 99$ to be told what I already knew then a very young lady from a grateful dead concert in flip flops told me I owed 99$. Even though they can see it's a dental emergency and even though have a job and a disabled veteran that could easily pay full balance within the month. They only wrote prescription for ibuprofen and send me back home or as the so called doc called it my directions. When asked inquiring what she meant by directions in a very haughty way said place I live. Why address isn't a term a PHD knows is the biggest mystery. Stay away unless willing on spot to drop 500$. You gonna pay 99 $ just for 25 minutes inside there building and sitting in a really uncomfortable chair. I know some big wigs in vet community here and will make sure last veteran they screw over.

Although I no longer live in Huntsville, I managed to arrange a visit for my child while he was with family in the area. After the appointment, I reached out to inquire about his experience, and he conveyed his enjoyment, expressing a desire to return for future visits.

Now I just hope my financial responsibilities for the steps in Dr. E's dental plan will allow me to proceed with the plan.

Negative experience: **update... after my review and the office's response I tried calling them and they never called back. It's interesting that the folks who have given them 5 stars only have 1 review on Google. Hmmm. Horrible office and do not handle children well. Not at all impressed by this dental practice. Front office staff is friendly and the office is extremely clean. The doctor seems knowledgeable and not an alarmist type of dentist. However, beware when bringing in a pediatric patient. The dental hygienist is extremely rough and does not know how to speak to and/or handle children. While my son was getting a cleaning and the fluid/blood was in his mouth, he was getting uncomfortable and she said to him that he had to "suck it up because it's not that bad" and "it's not scary, you have to suck it up sometimes and grow up." Not a way to speak to children. As an adult watching his cleaning, I wouldn't want this lady working on my mouth. It was uncomfortable to watch. Not going back. Canceled our other appointments.

Positive experience: My name is Ron Cox, I am retired with over 45 years in the dental field. I have worked closely with over a hundred dentist and their staff and I can honestly say that Dr Escobar’s team is first rate , from her receptionist when you enter to accounting as you leave. I am a new patient to her office having just moved to Huntsville. We had a little rocky start but I was impressed with the way Dr Escobar took care of the situation. So far my experience with the office has been cleaning appointments. I can’t say that I’m looking forward to future restorative appointments (HA HA) but I feel quite sure that when the time comes I will be in good hands.

Negative experience: After giving this Dental practice an honest chance to step up my husband and I will not be coming back. I have NEVER gotten a teeth cleaning, if that is what the Dental Hygienist did, that was SO unthorough. She polished my teeth first then used the ultrasonic scaler then flossed my teeth all in a 15 minute span. She never used any other instruments on my teeth. I was in the Dental field for over 10 years and I know that it takes almost 45 minutes for a complete and thorough cleaning. You might want to keep looking for a good dentist and good team. We will be going back to our Dentist in Spring, Texas because we just can't find a decent Dentist around here. Makes me sad.

Fantastic experience: Truly amazing people! They were able to get me in same day to do a tooth extraction on a tooth that was causing agonizing pain. They worked with me having no insurance at the time and were not judgmental at all! This is one of the best dentist offices I’ve ever been to. And it’s a plus the staff is primarily women! I would really recommend this place to anyone that has been too scared to go to the dentist!
