Negative experience: DONT go to hilcrest dental. i left with a aore mouth from xrays ans while they preformed on my mouth i felt everything because they didnt numb my mouth properly. i got a filling and now i need a root canal because they left my nerve exposed. im glad i left honestly.

Fantastic experience: For starters I'm not a fan of the dentist. Then again who is. I needed a lot of work done because I didn't go to the dentist for ten years. I thought I was going to lose my teeth and I was pretty down about it. The skilled team at Hillcrest Dental assured me I wasn't going to lose any of them. It has taken awhile slowly but surely my teeth are being fixed. They have done an amazing job! I'm so much more confident about my smile! My self esteem is back and I owe it all to Hillcrest dental. I wouldn't go anywhere else and I highly recommend using them if your having problems. I just want to say thank you so much to all the wonderful doctors and assistants, your amazing!

Fantastic experience: Amazing! I had a bad experience getting a root canal with a different dentist and it kinda traumatized me. I have to say Dr. Patel and her assistant Maddy are the best! I’ve had two root canals done by them and the ENTIRE process was painless! Idk how I can have nice teeth while also having so many cavities but that’s beside the point. Dr. Patel is changing my attitude towards getting this type of work done and it’s so relieving to not be terrified anymore!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time getting a cleaning at Hillcrest Dental. I was nervous starting somewhere new. My experience exceeded my expectation! Dr Sharma was extremely professional and kind. She answered all my questions and provided me with suggestions as to how to improve my dental care. Dr Sharma was both gentle and thorough while cleaning my teeth. The office was clean and everyone in encountered was friendly and professional.

Negative experience: Unbelievable and rude. Called the front desk worried about an allergic reaction I may of had in the past and what they would do for protocol if anything were to happen to me and they said “call an ambulance duh what else can we do? and you can not speak to a dentist right now about this sorry” like what the hell. This COULD BE a life or death situation and proceeded to put me on hold and blast music in my ear as I was explaining to her what happened to me, so now I’m stuck trying to find yet another dentistry that will take me seriously and listen to me! She was so mad at me for asking “what would happen if I had an allergic reaction” and said “call your damn doctor about that, not the dentist clinic” I hung up.. way to make my anxiety and PTSD worse.

Positive experience: Pretty sure I like this place. In my limited experience, they do good work, and they got me in and set up several appointments less than a week after I called. Pulled my problem tooth out of my face. The bedside manner was a little weird. It was awkward to be scolded like a child for things that were wrong with my mouth, on account of that's why people go to dentists. My dentist seems genuinely pissed off at tartar (a good thing, I suppose). And while my tooth extraction went well, super quick and easy, I did have some sort of weird, involuntary nervous system response afterward and started passing out, and the dentist asked me "why I was freaking out". She did eventually realize that I was literally fainting, and her tune changed a bit. I think it might have freaked THEM out a little bit (my bad, ladies, my bad). Idk, some people just have prickly personalities. Based on the work alone, I'd go to her again. I'll take prickly over incompetent. At the end of the day, I'm appreciative and would for sure let her poke around my mouth again. Only giving 3 stars because it's awkward to keep being friendly, and I like being able to be mutually friendly.

I’ve been going to Hillcrest Dental for decades, brought my kids there. Always happy with the quality of care & lasting results. I recommend them to friends & family when asked.

Negative experience: Spent forever setting up an appointment to find out they didn't notice a typo in my name when they insisted it was my insurance that was wrong ( after several phone calls they figured it out ) - staff isn't great when it comes to a paitent with anxiety - they'll get you an appointment fast but will find some reason to cancel

Negative experience: Be extra cautious about any work that Dr. Jakar recommends. Please get a second opinion. She suggested work for me that had no basis & they kept calling me trying to rush me in for a supposed cavity that never showed up on the x ray. I do really like the dental hygenist Kim.

Negative experience: Worst dental office ever. All the dentist do is take vacations and chat about there family and don't let them do crowns. never had pain until I had a crown done.

Fantastic experience: Hillcrest Dental in Pittsfield, Massachusetts has always provided great care, but my most recent visit truly stood out thanks to Dr. Neha Sharma. She was absolutely stellar in her professionalism and really rose to the occasion. Dr. Sharma showed genuine concern for my wellness and overall comfort, making sure I felt at ease throughout the entire visit. Her thoroughness and skill during my teeth cleaning were exceptional. I would certainly return — and when I do, I’ll be asking for Dr. Sharma by name.

Positive experience: Initially needed a quick appointment to take care of a broken molar in which Hillcrest was very accommodating. Other offices had a 4 week to 4 month or more wait, So promptly I was able to get a filling which in turn fell out 5 days later, warranting me to emergency return and just decided to have it pulled. 2 days later I managed a quick appointment that was early and went smoothly. The staff is quick and thorough and I was out of there in less than an hour .... Overall my first trip was a waste, but I would still recommend this office and staff

Negative experience: Called to confirm my appointment at 1:37pm they accepted. 4:45 pm they call to confirm again. Bad communication and bad service if my appointment is canceled il report to better business because this is ridiculous how hard is it to just hit confirmed on a computer. Youd have better luck with a tweaker setting up your appointments.

Negative experience: They have tried to cancel every appointment I have had with them. They always call me when I’m at work on a Friday to confirm, they have no way to leave a message if you call after hours or on the weekend, and they cancelled my appointment on Monday when I couldn’t call until after 2. I really don’t recommend anyone go here.

Fantastic experience: I am only giving a 3 becuase it was my first time and not much had to be done, I need more procedures. But I can say, they are all very nice, and got me in because someone had cancelled so I didn't have to wait weeks to get an appointment. The tech was learning the way they do things there even though he was throughly trained elsewhere, but he did really good. I will update my review once I am a finished product. lol.But I would reccomend them for your teeth issues . Update to my original post I upgraded it to a 5* because I am on my third visit and can tell how good they are, the tech is different and much better. than the first time he was a newbie. Dr. Patel, I think her name is is very patient with my gag reflex even though I almost up chucked on her she just changed her plan till I could get through it. God Bless her. I would certainly recommed this place for dental work.

Fantastic experience: Hillcrest Dental care gets five stars from me! Since my first visit, I've felt respected ,heard , and no judgement. They have been kind, gentle, and always inform me on what's happening at the visit and what to expect. Most importantly today, I had my second root canal and a cleaning within 2 weeks and I haven't felt any pain at all, which was my worse fear, because of my experiences in the past with other dentist. I definitely recommend them 10 out of 10!

Fantastic experience: I experienced some significant pain. I tried calling other dentists in my area but no one was interested in helping. Hillcrest took me on immediately and got to the cause of my problem. I’m now their patient and grateful for the prompt, courteous and professional handling of my dental issues.

Fantastic experience: Kind, nonjudgmental, fast, caring, receptive, wonderful experience. Best experience you could have at a Dentist. Hygienists are great. Reception is very easy to work with. And the dentists are top notch.

Positive experience: Went in circa 2020 with maxillary tooth pain. Got told tooth was infected, so I asked to schedule an extraction. Was Ignored and the tooth was filled, instead. Came in 2024, same tooth, same pain. Got talked down to (again) to get a root canal. Dentist stormed out when I AGAIN confirmed that I insist on an extraction. I am Immunocompromised and am treated like an annoyance. Drilling into my maxillary is not a safe choice and dentists need to consider that sometimes, patients do not present as 'textbook'.

Negative experience: Had X-rays done 4 months ago to find multiple cavities. Had 2 cavities done by another dentist do to discomfort and convenience. After waiting 50 min to see dentist Jahkar, she refused to even look into my mouth because I saw another dentist. Jahkar got angry, loud, and walked out while I was explaining that I was just trying to get comfort in my mouth.

Fantastic experience: I'm so impressed with the work!!! Everybody is so polite & kind!! They are always there for my needs. I would recommend them to everybody. No long waits, they also call you if they have a cancellation.

Fantastic experience: I have been to 3 other dentists before this, all have been very rude and made me feel horrible about the condition of my teeth, and giving me a half assed cleaning. And although I was a baby about it, this office was so kind, cleaned my teeth amazingly and laid out a whole plan for what we need to get done. Made me feel like they cared about my smile too, and he even wiped my tears for me while I cried like a baby as he worked(not his fault) my own. I'll update y'all when I get my extractions and partials! :)

Fantastic experience: Dr. Jakhar is the best dentist I've ever had. For years I had a fear of dentists. However, my experiences with Dr. Jakhar have always been painless. She and Jane, her assistant, work very well together and I have always been comfortable.

Negative experience: My children have been going to Hillcrest for about a year now my son more than my daughter because his teeth aren't as good as hers. So past 3 visits I have been degraded by the dentist telling me me & his father don't brush his teeth even though we do she kept arguing with me that we don't. She was very rude each time I've been there I also had mentioned my history & my family history of us not having good enamel on our teeth to where my sister was even put on medicated tooth paste because of it and the dentist dismissed me stating fluoride is the same thing which no it isn't if it was my sister would use Fluoride an not a medicated tooth paste. The hygienists I have had there for my son have been so kind though and iam very great full for the one we had today made sure my son was set up with a new dentist so I didnt have to deal with the one he's been seeing.

Negative experience: This company ONLY cares about making money. They have lied to us so many times. Once they lost a payment and blamed us for not paying. We had to spend an entire day gathering paper work to prove they were wrong. They cancel appointments and never tell you. Forget about having your teeth cleaned twice a year. You'll be lucky if you can get in once a year. They try to say we do not have insurance even though we can prove to them in multiple ways we do. Do not bother with this dental office.

Negative experience: after going on Tuesday, now Saturday, i got 3 fillings and my teeth hurt much worse, and the area the needle went in hurt TERRIBLY bad when it first went in, to the point i almost cried and i’m very very good with needles. so now, 5 days later, the area where the needle went in STILL HURTS. it even hurts to swallow because of how far back it was put in. i’ve never once had any issues with my teeth or any tooth care things, nothing. i was never told to do any sort of aftercare either or what pain relief can be used, what to expect, NOTHING. so i’ve been using tylenol as needed but it can only do so much. my tooth/teeth are now much more sensitive and when i touch the area the needed went in, it feels swollen or like something is in it, but nothing is in there. it’s just extremely inflamed for some reason. also worth mentioning, the woman who was assisting the doctor swiveled in her chair and nailed me in the head with it, didn’t even notice until the doctor told her to be careful and had to tel her what she did. she also had to be told multiple times by the dr to stop moving this and keep this here etc etc. she ended up making me gag and struggle to breathe because of how far she was putting the tongue gag in my mouth and not using the suction properly at all. overall just a terrible experience and my mouth is still in pain, likely from a pinched nerve or something along those lines.

Negative experience: I cannot comment on the quality of dental care at Hillcrest, because I never got that far. The quality of the customer facing staff is awful. I went on my insurance website to find covered dental groups in Pittsfield. United Healthcare said I was covered there. The Hillcrest website says they take UHC. I called and was told to fill out their lengthy paperwork, which took an hour of my day to print and complete. I called back to schedule an appointment only to be told, "we don't take UHC anymore." "But it says you do on your website," I replied. "Oh, they haven't updated the website," she replied. No apology, somewhat rude about it. Carriers negotiate with medical groups on a yearly basis, so the website is at least five months out of date. Sorry. 40% is generally considered a failing grade, thus 2/5 for my review.

Positive experience: I have been coming to this office for several years. For the most part, I have been very pleased. Recently, I had an unexpected extraction of a large molar. Other than some authorization issues, which ultimately were resolved, I would recommend this office to anybody in need of dental care. The dentist and her assistant were amazing. I was quite anxious and in a great deal of pain. I left there relieved and knew I was in good hands.

Negative experience: Hillcrest Dental is the most unprofessional, discriminating, dental practice in the Berkshires. I am completely appalled at there staffs behavior. I called almost a month ago for a very serious dental matter , only for them to call me back to cancel my appointment. They then told me “it will probably resolve on its own” Well it most certainly hasn’t “resolved on its own.” In fact the problem is proceeding to get worst ! I had to go out of town to another office because they will not book me an appointment. I tried back again today only to get told they will call me back. They never called me back!! It’s been over a month now! They should be ashamed of themselves for displaying such poor character, and service! I absolutely do not recommend Hillcrest dental to anyone !

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth Crack on Friday and they got me in there on Wednesday and extracted that tooth very fast and pain free. Iam very pleased with the results

Fantastic experience: Professional and thorough, but most importantly, painfree. I was well cared for by some very nice people. My only suggestion is that an introduction should be mandetory. Not knowing the name of the tech, dental assistant, or hygienist without being greeted in a mannerly way is a little bit offputting particularly when these people are working on you. It sounds funny, but manners make all the difference and greeting a patient using your name and a friendly hello and some small talk always goes a long, long way. These people are nice by all means but they shouldn’t be wrapped up so tightly as to not use common courtesy. They should be proud of their name and their job. Express it!!!
