Negative experience: Place feels like an open air 19th century European hospital: no separate rooms, dividers, or patient privacy. Must have been the hygienists 1st day- got splashed in the face w dirty tooth water and nearly choked during cleaning bc she didn’t know how to use the hose. Had to listen to other patients groaning during procedure. Cleaning was rushed and unthorough. $150 for 2 lousy cleanings + painful Xrays for 1 years !

Fantastic experience: I know reviews are iffy, you never know. I had a bad infection in a tooth that I had previously had a root canal on. Not at this dentist office. I went in on a Saturday for an emergency visit. I had to wait a bit, but they got me in and Dr Chad Davis and his crew were great. Very nice and attentive to my needs. I was looking for a dentist in Santa Fe but not anymore. I am now a patient at Comfort Dental. Thank you very much and I will be seeing you soon.

If you've been around, you know the place I'm talking about. If you're afraid of the dentist, need a lot of work, etc, I recommend this office.

Positive experience: I had an appointment and my two sons had appointments today. When my boys were there they’re experience was at a zero. Customers were acting like lunatics treating the front desk. Staff like crap. The front desk was accommodating these crazy people Instead of honoring appointment times for people that actually had appointments. Or maybe they had over scheduled who knows. Other people waiting in the room with with them had been there since 8 o’clock in the morning and it was 1030. When I got there at 1:20 I filled out my paperwork. No one was in the waiting room with me, but it still took almost an hour to be seen. The dentist was very good. The hygienist was very good. I can’t say for my kids experience because they left because my son had to get back to school he had a test. Hygienist was nice. I did not like that. They do not floss. The tool that they use instead of flossing hit my gums multiple times making them bleed and hurt. I did not care for that. I’m not sure why they use that. I’ve never seen anything like that at the dentist office unless somebody hasn’t had their teeth cleaned in a while and they’re doing a deep clean. I personally get my teeth cleaned every six months so I don’t know why this was necessary. They kept telling me my teeth were really good condition. So overall not terrible but not spectacular either good luck getting an appointment and then being seen on time.

Negative experience: Don’t Waste your time here. Came a half hour early to fill out paper work for my 11:00 appointment. Once we got inside they had angry customers everywhere because this place is completely unorganized. They decided to take the angry customers in for their cleanings without any care for their patients that were scheduled. Once we got there I was informed my appointment that waste scheduled during my lunch break wouldn’t be for another hour. Make sure to also read their paperwork you fill out because it has sketchy writing I’ve never seen with other dentists Looks like the owners also “responds” to these reviews. But in reality it’s an automated response that’s the exact same for everyone’s bad responses. If the Owner on Comfort dental can’t take the time to fix his stores. He shouldn’t be a owner of anything

Positive experience: This location may be small but the dentist I saw was great. I could trust him that he was looking out for my best interests and he had a good attitude. I am now done looking for a dentist. Here is where I will come from now on, however, I wish the time that we have to wait to be seen is not so long. Last time was 40 minutes and I felt like that was on the short end.

Fantastic experience: Since moving to SF last fall I’ve been trying to find an excellent dentist who takes my insurance, and Dr Chad Davis checks both boxes. Well-run office and friendly and efficient staff also. I’m very pleased with the experience I had and feel fortunate to have found Comfort Dental. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I had my first appointment here as a new patient and I will never be back. I showed up 15 minutes early to complete paperwork so that I they could start at my scheduled appointment time. I was in the waiting room for an hour before they called me back. I spent another 30 minutes sitting in the chair while the 1 dentist helped 5 patients. He apologized and stated that they are short handed. I understand being short handed, but waiting an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment is crazy. They completed my cleaning in under 10 minutes. Truly one of the worst cleanings I’ve ever had. Because they were trying to be quick, they ended up being very rough and messy. I had water splashed on my face multiple times, stabbed with the scaler a few times, and the actual polishing was so quick it didn’t feel effective.

Fantastic experience: I woke up on a Saturday morning and the side of my face was very swollen. I had been having some tooth pain and had not been able to see anyone about it. I went into Comfort Dental which was open and they were able to squeeze me in. Dr. Chad Davis could tell right away that I had a bad infection. After x-rays and an exam he gave me a dose of antibiotics and a prescription for more. To say the least, I was very pleased with the care I received.

She doesn’t answer the phone for patients to make appointments, which she should be answering every phone make sure they answer and schedule one ASAP.as it is her job to do so. Including a very patient supporting staff, namely Celina who takes care of me till the end! Always great experience even when under pressure! Negative experience: Very disappointing experience with Cavity Dental. They initially told me to come at 7:30, but after waiting for almost an hour, they asked me to come back again at 11:30. Even after returning, there was still a long delay and poor communication. We never requested emergency treatment, but they still billed us for an emergency visit. They charged $160 just for a prescription without doing any actual treatment or proper examination. On top of that, the prescription was not even sent until around 7 PM, even though we visited at 11:45 AM. As a student without insurance, this was extremely expensive and frustrating. The staff was irresponsible and did not value patients’ time. I would not recommend this place to others based on my experience.

Negative experience: Today I visited Comfort Dental. Initially, they told me the visit fee would be $20, but later they charged me $160 just for the consultation and prescription. I previously visited another dental clinic in Dallas where they charged only $40, including the exam, X-ray, and prescription. Compared to that, this felt extremely expensive and disappointing.

Last few days I’ve had a broken tooth that’s given me an abscess from hell! I went down there to wait for a walk in this morning and explain to them what was going on and they were able to get me in and out! Thank you so much!

Positive experience: Efficient but didn't feel rushed. Dr. listened to my concerns and put them on a watch list. They use manually filled forms on wipe-off sheets but should invest in finer markers that would be more legible and reduce potential mistakes.

Fantastic experience: 5 stars across the board! I was visiting Santa Fe and broke my tooth. It was a terrible break. I walked in for emergency. The office manager Monica greeted me and was so welcoming and helpful. The dental assistant Ivan came and got me in a great amount of time. He was OUTSTANDING with his care. I am afraid of dentists but this dentist was so welcoming, great communicating, and so professional. I can’t say more great things about this clinic, they saved me as I needed to do a public speech but they got me fixed up right in time.

Positive experience: They were very kind in attending to my emergency, thank you. I'm sorry, I felt it was a bit rough when they gave me the anesthetic (injection), and I didn't wait for the topical anesthetic to take effect on my gums. I'm not new to this, and that's why this is my opinion. Thank you anyway.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with Comfort Dental for an emergency dental issue that was giving me great distress. Got in quickly, was treated well by all staff I encountered and most importantly, my primary and follow up visit with Dr. Anthony Prieto, DDS, were both efficient and comprehensive. His resourcefulness/smarts, enthusiasm and kind demeanor went above and beyond in more than satisfactorily taking care of my issue. I totally recommend Dr. Prieto, DDS, the support staff and Comfort Dental for going out of their way to work me in quickly.

Fantastic experience: I’ve consistently had a great experience at this dental office. The team is professional, the environment is always exceptionally clean, and they truly take pride in their work. The receptionist is always kind and welcoming, and I really appreciate that they speak Spanish. The dental assistants are incredibly sweet, and the dentist is very professional and personable. Fantastic experience: Small waiting room but wonderful doctors and wonderful staff. Truly comfortable and caring. Love our new dentist! So nice that they offer plans for those with no insurance. Quite frankly, I do not understand all the negative reviews. I’ve lived in NYC, Chicago, Hawaii and now Santa Fe. I’ve never experienced a quality dentist that accepts emergency walk-ins. Even emergencies usually need an appointment unless you go to a dental school. I realize you are in pain but that is why you should visit the dentist regularly. Sometimes an “emergency” means the soonest they can squeeze you in is in 2 days. I don’t understand who these complaining reviewers are with unrealistic expectations for an extremely skilled and difficult job.

Negative experience: Had multiple not so great experiences here. It feels like they take to many patients with only one dentist working. Each time I went the dentist wasn't sure what I was there for and it was like being in a torture chair and now a year later all the work they did to fix my teeth has to be redone. I would say find a different dentist if you can

Negative experience: Bad customer service, need better help in the front. This place advertised they will help with emergency visit and its a bunch BS. I live an hour away and my kiddo was in alot of pain and walked in to see maybe 3 people sitting in the lobby. Proceeded to ask if we can be seen and the woman behind the desk had the worst attitude for medical office. Told me that they weren't seeing anymore patients because there was no more slots and they were booked and we should have been there by 7am when the place opens at 730. I called at 7am and no one answered, left a message asking to have spot reservation cuz we lived an hour away, but no return call. I find it hard to believe they had that many people already booked by 9am. What's the point of advertising that you can walk in with an emergency to be turned away by a person seems to hate her job. I would never recommend this place.

Negative experience: Everything would be perfect if they had better people working in the front desk!!!! Maybe she was upset because she wanted to eat her breakfast but that is not my fault!!!!! Had my daughter there with pain just to be sent home again with horrible service she never looked at me once terrible service!!!!!!

Positive experience: The workers were very nice, but they misquoted me for a dental cleaning. I called and asked before my first patient appointment and they said it would be 100 and something dollars, when I actually got my first cleaning today it was 280. I knew that I would have to get x-rays because I was a new patient – but apparently when I got there, they did a different type of x-ray than what is covered under the new patient special. I wasn’t asked about it and I wasn’t given an option.

Negative experience: Chad Davis is professional he was very helpful, but on the other hand, the staff was extremely rude. The gentleman at the front desk Seemed very rude as the heavyweight girl that helped me she was just as nasty. I don’t know if I would be returning back probably not. I myself work in healthcare. I would never treat people the way they did. They don’t smile. They don’t say thank you they seem very unhappy shouldn’t be there. They have no compassion towards patients.

Negative experience: This practice deserves zero stars. My husband has been in excruciating pain for an entire week. Before driving to the office, I called to confirm they accept emergency walk-in patients. The receptionist explicitly stated they do and that "tooth pain" qualified as an emergency. ​However, upon our arrival, that same receptionist refused to let him be seen. Her demeanor was unprofessional and unfriendly, both on the phone and in person. It is unacceptable to give false information to someone in severe pain. This establishment is completely unreliable, and the front-desk staff lacks basic customer service skills.

Fantastic experience: Today I had my third visit with Comfort Dental and as always, their staff was welcoming and extremely pleasant to work with. As I sat in the entry room- I had small talk with Gabriel, who was now manning the front desk area. This was an overall pleasant surprise to me, as I quickly noticed how the office is so successful. They cross train their employee's and allow them to dictate their own career path. So if you want to learn all the different positions in the office, they allow every employee to move around with the proper training. This is how you manage an office. You provide them with the proper training to have a successful workplace. As a previous bank executive in the local bank scene, I learned this early on in my successful twenty-five year career. I was summoned to see Sarah in the office to make my final payment (as negotiated with with Dr. Anthony Prieto.) Once I had my final receipt in hand, Sarah walked me over to the chair I'd be sitting in with my third dental tech named Ashley. She was very kind, skilled, and knowledgeable (like the tech's before her; Kenia and April, Ashley was another phenomenal dental tech that quickly prompted me to ask Dr. Prieto if this was a best practice of his office employees? "Doctor Prieto, do you try to always cross train all your employees who wish to learn the dental career pathway?" He quickly replied without hesitation, "yes! If they are eager to learn, we'll cross train them." ...and that answer was exactly what I thought was why he ran such a successful and well respected local office practice. I knew better from my personal experience and it made me very happy! Once in the dental chair, both Dr. Prieto and Ashley went to work on my teeth... A few numbing shots, then they ook out the initial fillings and then waited some time for the shots to take effect. Within a half hour or so, I was fully numb and ready to go....⏳ Then came the newly made crowns; one in the lower back and one in the bottom front. Then Ashley made sure they fit well. She followed with a few x-rays to make sure for placement and comfort, etc. Then once we communicated on both feeling, etc., she cemented them in place. Done!!! Upon seeing and meeting Dr. Prieto, I shook his hand and before I walked out of the office, I did the same with Ashley and thanked her personally for her wit, service, and tender care. I also called out to Dr Prieto and thanked him one last time for his amazing attention to detail and his staff's amazing extraordinary customer service. One of the best experiences ever in my hometown of Santa Fe. ...and go figure all this-at the DENTIST!!! THE MOST COMFORTING EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE... Negative experience: I received an automatic response here, stating they would contact me to discuss. No call has been received. It is lip service I had been a longtime patient at the Firestone, CO Comfort Dental. I loved the staff and my dentist. When I moved to Santa Fe I was excited to find a Comfort Dental. Unfortunately, this location is terrible. 1st, the front desk staff is rude. I don't mean busy so they are short. They are just rude. 2nd, included with all of the forms you complete is a policy with rules of how you are allowed to treat the staff. So basically, take your punishment, don't respond or you are out. So dumb. 3rd they ask you to arrive 20 minutes early, then make you wait an hour. I actually was never seen, as I had to get back to work. 4th, because I was canceling withiut notice, they're counting towards my gold plan. To sum up this Comfort Dental location, don't bother. Find an office that will show a little respect to the patients.

Fantastic experience: Excellent as usual. Quick and easy. I initially went there, an hour away, after my insurance changed and there were simply no dentists in my area that were accepting clients. Stay on all these years. I even had a crown put in.

Fantastic experience: I’m generally scared about going to the dentist. Then for a few years, I had an amazing dentist in Colorado. Since moving to New Mexico, I’ve been slow to want to go back to the dentist. I finally decided to go when I saw that Comfort Dental took my health insurance. I had a great experience here – everyone was friendly and kind and I was in and out in no time!

Fantastic experience: My experience was good. The dentist and his assistant were great and very friendly. But I do have a complaint about the front desk receptionist Lisa, or Liz she was very rude I get that it was early, but still there’s no need to be rude with the clients. Only giving it a five star because the dentist was really nice and his assistant, but the receptionist Does need some training on her communication skills and customer service absolutely the worst I’ve encountered.

Fantastic experience: Eventually we all have to make a decision on looking for and finding a dentist. The process is not so easy and especially if you have a slight anxiety going to the dentist. After receiving several recommendations I commenced my own search and found Dr. Chad Davis. Its vital to find a dentist you can communicate with and a staff that provides a positive environment. As soon as I met Dr Davis I knew that I found my dentist . He was personable and had an easy relaxed demeanor. He took time talking to me about any issues I had and went over my xrays . He's easy when your in the chair and takes hes time, hes communications skills are fantastic. I appreciate hes genuine concrerns and I noticed how he carries that throughout the office. Positive experience: Well it's a dentist.who wants to go unless u have good teeth.But for the most part it was ok this will be the second pair on bottom dentures for me, I did not get my first ones there but I will be paying almost 1500 dollars that's most my disability check but my sons dog ate my bottom dentures and it's causing me all kinds of problems with out them since I did have throat cancer my ears ache and I have to hold my mouth in a strange position,disability said I make to much money so I do not have any coverage .Dr.Dàvis is the cheapest dentist I could fiñd so it's going to take me two months to get them. Negative experience: I had a deeply disappointing and upsetting experience during my recent visit. My appointment was scheduled for 6:30 PM, but it was clear from the start that the staff were eager to leave for the day-two separate team members even commented that they were ready to go home. This made me feel unwelcome and as though my presence was an inconvenience. The entire visit felt rushed and careless. I was not given any guidance on my dental health-no explanation of what I was doing right or wrong, or how to improve my oral care. The dental assistant performed the polishing in an extremely rushed and painful manner. She failed to properly position my lip, causing repeated friction and discomfort from the instrument. Although she apologized, the lack of care continued throughout the procedure. Unfortunately, the dentist's approach was just as rough and hurried. The work was done without any regard for my comfort, and overall, the experience left me feeling disrespected and physically uncomfortable. I left the office in pain and with serious concerns about the quality of care I received. This is not the level of professionalism or compassion that any patient should experience. I used to love comfort dental but it has really took a turn for the worse unfortunately. Will not be returning

Fantastic experience: I was so worried about my teeth. I'm a senior citizen and I have a few issues. Well, apparently my issues aren't so bad! And they did what was needed and I'm so happy and thankful!
