When the dentist insisted on cleaning my teeth herself with power tools, I screached to much that she never wanted to clean my teeth again and sent me right back to Dental Hygiene Care! GREAT!

Positive experience: Dental hygiene has been excellent cleaning my Teeth over period of years. Recently, however, Dr. Applebaum did not accomplish what I asked him to do. I had a sharp area on one corner of my front tooth and wanted it buffed or sanded as I have had done previously in the past by other dentists. Dr. Applebaum did something else entirely with a rough area at a previous filling he seemed to think needed attention and of which I was unaware. He drilled and put something in that closed the gap he had made between my front teeth, however it fell out the next night. Returning to my excellent previous dentist to check it out, I found that he was able to smooth out the sharp edge at the bottom edge of my front tooth. My confidence in Dr. Applebaum is not the best now. I will be continuing with Dental Hygene for my routine cleaning and returning to my previous very well-trusted DDS.

Fantastic experience: Dr Applebaum was very attentive and gentle during my exam. His assistant was kind and patient. I just wish I could get my tooth fixed before next month since I'm in pain.

He came in with curiosity, and he let what I was experiencing guide him. That kind of approach is rare in any medical setting, and it made all the difference. He’s kind, unhurried, and conservative in the best way… he’s not looking to do more than what’s needed. He’s looking to get it right. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to DHC of SF for many years and I've always had a 1st class professional experience whether it was with Pam at my regular cleanings or Dr Appelbaum and the various procedures he has performed on my teeth. Let's face it, no one gets all euphoric and giddy at the thought of going to their dental appt, unless there's something wrong with you, BUT, the second best thing is knowing when you DO have to go there, to DHC of SF, you can rest assured the job will be done right and in the most professional manner. BTW their assistants that sit chair side seem to totally have it together too. Beverly at the desk does a wonderful job of greeting you when you come in and is equally comfortable seeing you on your way out and setting up your next appt. Overall one senses good working chemistry in there and for all those reasons I give it 5 STARS.

Dr. Applebaum was thorough, and meticulous and My Hygienist Audrey was gentle and great at communicating my oral hygiene without felling scolded.
