Fantastic experience: We have had such a wonderful experience with Smiths Pediatric Dentistry! They were able to get my children in quickly, which I greatly appreciated. Their team even helped contact our previous dentist to track down information about when my kids had last been seen, making the entire process so easy for us. Every single person we interacted with was kind, patient, and welcoming, not only to me, but to my children as well. The office has created such a positive and fun environment that my kids actually get excited about their dental visits instead of being afraid of them. One thing I especially appreciate is how knowledgeable they are about remineralizing tooth powders and pastes. As a parent who values alternative and preventative approaches to dental health, it was a breath of fresh air to find a dental office that is familiar with these products and willing to discuss them. It made me feel heard and confident that they are staying informed about a variety of ways to support oral health. It's clear that the staff genuinely cares about their patients and works hard to make every visit a great experience. We are so grateful to have found them and highly recommend Smiths Pediatric Dentistry to other families!

Negative experience: Pretty disappointed with the treatment I have been receiving here. My kids have been going here for almost 7 years starting when my son chipped a front adult tooth they got him fixed up and it held up until April of 2025. Since then it has come off so many times, sometimes lasting weeks or days and sometimes lasting only hours. Since then I have been made to feel so uncomfortable by the front desk and some other employees. Fast forward to now my children get their regular teeth cleaning I thought with Dr. Smith but instead it was some guy no one introduced me to looked at my kids teeth for all of 10 seconds then tells me my daughter’s cavity’s (that have been being watched) now need to be fixed and she has to be put under for it to be done I say okay and make the appointment. The next day I get contacted by the woman named Sarah about the cost of this app I ask for the total she says $2,000 out of pocket with our dental insurance included. $1,000 to the dentist, $1,000 to anesthesiologist then 30 seconds later the total was $3,000 why I have no idea no one cared to break anything down, tell me the plan, give me any type of options at any point. I’m now in tears worried for my daughters safety as this unknown guy and dental assistant scared me at the app (only one cavity is the big concern at the moment). The lady Sara spoke down to me and made me feel so less than that I did not have $3,000 on a notice of 2 weeks just a couple weeks after Christmas. It definitely feels like they are just trying to squeeze every penny they can out of me. The way she spoke to me was so condescending, without saying the words we take cash or check it came off implied. I have paid every bill I have ever received from them either right then and there or immediately following being sent the bill, never once have I had an outstanding balance. My daughter has never even seen another dentist but I will tolerate and pay money to be made uncomfortable and looked down upon by employees especially the front desk and this Sara woman. They are supposed to make me feel comfortable and confident in the care my kids will receive, not the opposite.

Fantastic experience: Cannot dote on this company enough, from the very first visit, it was so evident that the staff love what they do and care about their clients. My daughter (2.5) had to have some fillings and caps done, and the Drs made sure that everyone felt comfortable the whole time. At the end of the day Dr Smith called to check in her, even though he had already had a very long day himself. My kids look forward to dental appointments with Dr. Smith. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Smith is amazing!! It’s not an exaggeration to say he changed our life! Our son had multiple oral issues since he was a baby. I had asked several other dentists about it, but they said nothing needed to be done at this point with him being so young. We moved and decided to go to Dr. Smith’s office. As soon as he saw our son‘s mouth he said those issues needed to be fixed actually sooner than later because it was affecting his growth and causing many other issues. The referrals Dr. Smith made for our son (none that financially benefitted him) started a journey that actually led us to learn our son even had sleep apnea. After surgery, our son (who was now three) slept through the night for the first time in his life. He had also been delayed in his speech and was behind on the growth curve. His talking and ability to eat just took off exponentially as did his growth since he was now eating well and sleeping. We are so grateful to Dr. Smith for being so knowledgeable and proactive about our son’s dental needs, especially with how it affects his overall health! We attribute the way our son is now thriving and happier to Dr. Smith! His kind and fun bedside manner with our children makes him the full package in pediatric dental care!

Fantastic experience: Cannot say enough good things! The entire staff is so kind, but especially Laly! She is amazing with my son. He’s gone from being filled with fear and tears to almost being excited about getting his teeth cleaned. Today we had our first experience having a cavity filled. They explained everything and made sure my son and I were comfortable with the whole process. His direct quote was “I didn’t feel anything Mom - I’d give them 10 stars!”

Fantastic experience: Dr Smith and his staff are incredible! We have been patients for like last four years and he goes above and beyond. Over the last weekend my daughter got injured and the on call assistant and Dr smith were quick to return calls and get a game plan made for care and treatment and get us in immediately after the weekend.

Fantastic experience: So amazing! Really great with kids! Also ready nice people! We had an semi emergency with our kid's baby tooth and they took a look at her 5 minutes till their lunch time! No one was annoyed, only helpful and very kind!! Love love this dentist office for our kids!!!

Negative experience: This place is great, but I believe that they might be taking on more than they can handle. I had an appointment today at noon, I waited 20 mins and then proceeded to get up and ask if my appointment was at noon or 1pm. A gal at the front confirmed it was at noon, but that they were having some difficulties and would be coming to get us soon. After waiting for an additional 20 more minutes and still not getting called back I chose to leave. It’s frustrating when they charge you or cancel your appointment if you are late, but when they are running behind they don’t seem to really care that your time is valuable as well. I hope that this will not happen to anyone else and that they get additional help to handle their patient load because it has become apparent that another dentist is needed in this practice.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Smith lasered my newborn’s tongue tie and he was amazing! He has the most advanced technology to make the process as comfortable and quick as possible for the baby. Grateful for his expertise and kind bedside manner! As a first time mom I felt very informed and the team went out of their way to make sure our experience was positive. Thank you Dr. Smith!

Positive experience: The dentist was amazing the front desk staff not so much I felt a lack of professionalism and were very inefficient in making appointments and in checking in i just about walked out after listening to the chatter for the 30min I waited on the Dr but after meeting the Dr I was glad I stayed

Fantastic experience: Today was my daughter’s first dentist visit ever. The office is extremely welcoming and has all sorts of toys to make waiting with your kids enjoyable. Not only is their office extremely accommodating to children, they were great with my daughter. My daughter was colic and all of her pediatricians dismissed us because there was no “fix” for colic, however, today the dentist discovered she has a lip tie which could have been a large reason for a colic infant. I would 10/10 recommend this dentist for your babies!

I have a small army of children who have been patients of Dr. Smith for a few years now, but Jenny and Dani went above and beyond at our last appointment. My six-year-old has some reservations about going to the dentist and isn’t always willing to get her teeth cleaned, etc. BUT, after feeling out the situation, Jenny and Dani both took their time with my daughter and tried to make her as comfortable as possible by explaining what they were doing, showing her their cool tools, and just being absolutely incredible. They never seemed annoyed or bothered, and truly wanted her to have a positive experience. We are so thankful for everyone in this office!

Negative experience: Dr. Smith is super nice & the clinic is cute, but the behind the scenes seems like a mess. Kylie, not sure if she is a manager or does finances, is not truthful in dealings. I have spent thousands on my kids teeth & my son had to have some caps & fillings that was spread into a 4 part appointment. At each appointment we would pay between 160-250. We found out that insurance didn't cover a portion & a balance of $144 carried over. The 1st 2 appointments, my husband took my son to his appointments, the third was supposed to be today. Yesterday, not even 24hrs before the appointment, I got a text telling me that the $144 balance is being added on to today's appointment & that what will be due today is $297. I responded to the text saying that I can only do half of that today, and do I need to reschedule, I got no response. This morning, I called to see if we are able to come in & Kylie tells me that it's the full balance or that they won't see my son. She claims she talked to me more than once & told me that the &144 needs to be paid, but that is simply not true. She told me will receive a bill in the mail & we can make payments on it. At the start of our plan, Kylie gave us a paper with all the payments that are expected at each appointment & all those payments have been made. My son has an appointment left after this one & from what I understood we were good as long as that $144 was paid before the last appointment. Now Kylie claims different & says she talked to my husband as well at the last appointment, when she simply has not. Very upsetting and disappointing, I started crying and asked Kylie what can we do & what ate options are. We do not qualify for Medicaid & we have made all our payments but are being turned away today, Kylie said that at the end of the day they run a business. Really sad that if you work and are trying you get screwed over. I paid the $144 over the phone & ended the relationship with this clinic. Kylie couldn't wait to take that payment & hang up on me. Not sure what we will do but we'll figure something out. Absolutely no care, no compassion at a children's clinic. I think this might be a clinic for elite, definitely not middle class working people.

Fantastic experience: I am embarrassed to admit but my 3 year old needed 1 tooth pulled and 7 crowns. Dr. Smith and the staff were excellent! They took care of my little guy so well. They took time to listen to my concerns and help me understand what was going on and what was needed!

He hasn’t had a successful dental visit in over 9 years. The office itself is relaxing, visually pleasing, and engaging. They are more than patient. Fantastic experience: I love Smiths Pediatric Dentistry and have only great things to say about Dr. Smith and all the staff. He has done two of my kids lip and tongue tie release which was so needed for both of them and it has made such a huge difference! He was the first one to catch our first sons after we struggled with feeding for his whole first year and were often told it wasn't an issue. He then did our second sons and it truly improved his feeding and sleep. I only wish we had gone to him sooner for our first. You can tell he is very knowledgeable in what he does and always seems to be doing further/ongoing education. He is friendly and truly does take the time to listen and help ensure you feel comfortable. Our son loves their office and does very well there as it really caters to kids. The front desk staff is so friendly and always prompt in returning calls. I can't recommend them enough!

I have been very impressed how mindful Dr. Smith is about the cost of dental work and that he provides suggestions that will save us money in the long run. Dr. Smith and his whole staff are so good at ensuring that my children have a positive experience. It is one thing to have specialized training in pediatrics but an entirely different thing to be good at working with children, at Smith Pediatrics they are both. Dr. Smith is great at gaging how each child is responding to the treatments he is suggesting and prescribes a plan of care based on their individual needs. Fantastic experience: The BEST pediatric dentist experience! My older child is highly sensitive and has never been able to cooperate with dentists in the past. Dr. Smith offered “happy visits” (at no charge!) to allow her to get familiar with the office and staff, and provided visual aids for her to understand the process. Jeanna was especially patient and able to build a strong rapport with my child, which enabled her to feel comfortable enough to have her teeth cleaned, examined, and take X-rays by the 3rd visit. Dr Smith found a couple of cavities and while reporting this to me he naturally recognized that my child was getting anxious, so he stopped talking about it and had Jeanna come back in to help her feel more comfortable. He then asked my child if he and I could go talk outside the room, waited for her consent, and then he and I made a plan to come back for a tooth extraction and cavity filling a couple of weeks later. For my highly sensitive child to be willing to come back for this procedure was huge, and they did a wonderful job! Even though my younger child has an “easy” temperament, I decided it was worth the 2 hour drive to bring her to Dr Smith as well! No happy visits needed— we had another great hygienist and a smooth, positive experience! HIGHLY recommend this dental practice!!!

Fantastic experience: The most amazing people work here! My kids absolutely LOVE going to the dentist, thanks to this place. The staff here are so patient and caring. You can tell that they all love what they do. My two kids are very different patients and they cater to both of their individual needs every time we come for a visit. I never feel judged as a parent, and we always feel so welcomed. Thank you Dr. Smith and all of your staff for all that you do for my little family!

Fantastic experience: Smith pediatric dentist is the best! The staff are all kind and do a great job helping your kids feel comfortable while doing a superb job working on your children’s teeth. The kids get to watch movies and have headphones on to help drown out the “scary” dental tool noises. My son has needed extensive work done and Alan has been so helpful to get things done that were needed and not overwhelm my son so he won’t end up dreading the dentist later. 10 out of 10!

Fantastic experience: After 2 failed attempts to get our 3 year old’s teeth cleaned, we finally took her to Smith’s Pediatric and what a difference it made. The atmosphere in this office is amazing, so welcoming and exciting for kiddos. Their staff was so sweet to her, she didn’t flinch once and got x-rays, a cleaning, and checked out by Dr Smith. Positive experience: Friendly, professional, clean environment, always something fun for the kids. Kids get to watch a movie during teeth cleaning. Only critique is I wish the staff would talk to the kids about their brushing habits etc too instead of just telling the parents while the kid has headphones on and is busy watching the movie. Sometimes kids need to hear it from the professionals instead of just mom/dad. Great experience every time, will continue to recommend to people.

Fantastic experience: Dr Smith is great! He’s so friendly and great with my 8 year old and my 13 year old. He also has a good bedside manner and is very thorough in explaining things. All of the staff is great too. We have state insurance and have never had a problem being seen. My 8 year old might have needed a different treatment and Dr Smith explained that to me, showed me what they’d do, and told me the cost of it. I’m so glad he’s my kid’s dentist.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely THE BEST pediatric dentist in town…knowledgeable, approachable, caring, detail-oriented…on many occasions he has even called me personally, after hours, to see how my child was doing from the work done previously in the day. They explain everything well and even book "happy visits" if needed, just to let your kids get used to them and what they do. Highly recommend! Update 12/23: My son had to get a cap on his back molar so he was supposed to drink some medicine in prep for the procedure, but he spit it out instead! Not to worry, Dr. Smith and his team had a backup plan and they got it done, still making it as comfortable and safe for my son as possible.

Dr Smith is so nice and soft spoken and isn't threatening at all which makes my anxious kiddo feel more at ease. My daughter is terrified of the dentist and has very high anxiety. The staff at Smith's are so sweet and patient. The office is very clean and it smells great (not like a dentist office). I would recommend to everyone that has an anxious kiddo.

Fantastic experience: So grateful that Dr. Smith was referred to me by a lactation specialist. My 6 week old baby was not nursing well. She was not gaining weight and she had a weak suck and poor latch. I trusted my gut and made and appointment with a lactation specialist who referred me to Dr. Smith and his lactation specialist Kailey. They were quick to identify a lip and posterior tongue tie. It was a quick 5 minute procedure with a soft tissue laser. They talked me thru the whole procedure and the lip stretches I would need to do for 4 weeks in detail. It’s only been 2 weeks and my baby is nursing well and gaining weight. Again, I am so grateful to Dr. Smith:

Fantastic experience: They are amazing with my 3 littles. They make them laugh, talk them through each step and have patience with them when they are struggling. They also have activities for the kids to do/play/watch while they wait and my littles love picking what size door to go in!

His staff is very professional and friendly. SO happy we found this dentist after several bad experiences.

Fantastic experience: Today my 8 year old daughter had 2 cavities to take care of. This was her 1st time having teeth worked on while she was awake. Dr. Smith & his team was awesome working with her & making her comfortable. I didn't hear her cry once. Dr. Smith also called us this evening to check on her and told me she did great. It was very much appreciated that he took the time to check on her. Recommended!

Fantastic experience: Smiths is the only place to take kiddos in the valley. Dr smith is genuine, kind and great with kids and his crew that clean teeth, X-rays ect are all hands on and great with kids of all ages.,

Fantastic experience: My 8 year old son loves to come here to Dr. Smith’s office. The waiting room is so fun and welcoming. All the staff is so amazing with kids. We have had everything from serious work done to just a simple cleaning and have always been so thankful it went so smoothly. Dr. Smith explains things so you know all your options. I’m so glad we found them!

Fantastic experience: I took my 8 year old to Smiths Pediatric Dentistry for the the first time and the experience was more than stellar. Everyone who spoke to me and worked with my daughter was friendly and encouraging. She is weary about the dentist but she did great here. she had cavities that I had some Mom guilt about and they did not make me feel worse, in fact made me feel better about the situation and put us on the fast track to get her fixed up. They were quick but very thorough, polite, upbeat and direct - which I love. The building was beautiful, very kid friendly, sanitary and overall welcoming. My kiddos favorite part was the coin they gave her to get a toy from the coin machine at the end ;) It’s not often I go to an appointment and have no complaints but from check in to check out, I have none. Recommend 10/10.

Negative experience: Won't take any of my kids because they have Idaho smiles unless ALL of my children are under 6. Including my 5 year old who has a broken tooth and is complaining of pain. That is insane to me! The different treatment you get when you're on state insurance is sickening. Your website is misleading and you should put that on there so people don't waist their time contacting you.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Smith and Wyatt the anesthesiologist were great with our son. They both took time explaining the procedures with all of us and Dr. Smith followed up with us with a call in the evening.
