Negative experience: I want to express my dissatisfaction with the billing practices and subsequent treatment I received from the staff at Halls Family Dentistry. While their patient care meets basic standards, the issues I encountered with their billing and the unprofessional handling of my concerns prompt me to caution others against seeking services at this practice. Following my initial cleaning and new patient X-rays, I was informed that I had a cavity under my crown which required filling and a new crown. I received a quote that included both the full fee and the in-network contracted amount. I was explicitly informed that my insurance did not cover major dental work and was required to pay 50% upfront with the remaining balance due at the time of service. The in-network fee was highlighted, and I was assured that this would be the total cost. Based on this assurance, I proceeded to pay nearly $1,000 upfront for the procedure. However, several weeks post-procedure, I received an additional bill for $458. The bill stated that my insurance determined there was no in-network fee and directed me to contact my insurance company for any inquiries. Upon doing so, I was told by my insurance that providers are not legally obligated to honor in-network contracted rates for services not covered by insurance. Essentially, I was quoted the in-network rate, only to later be charged the full amount. In response to this unexpected bill, I sent an email to Halls Family Dentistry expressing my disappointment and requesting the cancellation of our future cleaning appointments. Subsequently, I received numerous calls, texts, and two voicemails in one day from the billing manager, who wanted to discuss the matter. The ensuing conversation was unproductive and unprofessional. I was chastised for my email and she insinuated that the fault lay with my choice of insurance plan and my agreement to the quoted amount which she and the treatment plan both stated were just an estimate. The crux of the issue is that the front desk clerk erroneously quoted the in-network rate, and the office refused to acknowledge or apologize for this mistake. Furthermore, the initial diagnosis of a cavity under my crown was incorrect, rendering the procedure entirely unnecessary. I urge potential patients to be cautious when considering Halls Family Dentistry. There is a risk of being advised to undergo unnecessary procedures and being misquoted on costs, leading to unexpected and substantial additional charges.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Linda and her staff are fantastic. I broke a tooth and they squeezed me in to put on a temporary crown. All the staff are friendly and professional.

Fantastic experience: The atmosphere at the dentist office is professional and friendly.The fall decorations made the office feel warm and inviting. Dr. Linda, the dental hygienists, and the office staff are all caring and make you feel at ease..I am from the era where comfort and pain were often part of the dental experience.Going to the dentist at that at time was very stressful and a white knuckle experience most of the time.It is nice to know that era of dentistry is gone. Now going to the dentist is not an uncomfortable and stressful time.

Fantastic experience: The employees are polite, prompt, and accommodating. I have never had to sit in the waiting room past my appointment time, and I am easily able to schedule appointments on my days off.

Negative experience: I had a filling from years ago come out in a back molar. They sent me to get a root canal then put a crown on the tooth, unfortunately the crown came off. It wasn't even on for 5 years. Insurance says they should last at least 5 years. They refused to guarantee their workmanship. I went to 2 new dentist that both agreed that the job was poorly done. They also ground that tooth down making it hard to attach a crown that would stay on. I now have to pay over $1,000 again to repeat what should have been done right to start with! They charged me over $1,000 for that crown. I can not believe that they won't fix the mess that created. Also I had been a patient there for years and when the new dentist came in it was as if I had never visited that office. This is terrible! No one should use a dentist that doesn't stand behind their work!

Brooke done my work and you can really tell that she loves her job and patients. She took her time with me, never rushed through anything, and I couldn't be happier!! I have major anxiety so I had to have laughing gas the first trip, but it went so well I wasn't anxious at all the second time so I didn't have to have it. They are always asking to make sure you are doing ok throughout the whole process! After hearing me talk about my experience, my husband decided to make him an appointment, which is coming up. If you are looking for a great dentist with the most caring staff I've ever met, then you definitely need to give them a call. Fantastic experience: Dr Linda Huang and her staff are wonderfully awesome. I am always greeted with a smile and treated with the upmost respect. I highly recommend Halls Family Dentistry for all your family members. I take my children here as well and the staff are great at easing the younger ones. This is highly trained staff, with all the high end gadgets but not the at high end prices. Great location that's easy to get to, great parking, and never waiting long in the waiting area. This is a dental practice you want to go back to.

Fantastic experience: I was very satisfied with issue being resolved. My only request or concern is I wished they were open on Friday or somebody is on call. It seems like something always happens before the long weekend. I know they probably work 10 hours a day. After having some work done I had an issue on Thursday evening, and had to wait until Monday to get it resolved. This caused me to deal with some pain until Monday. Everyone is very nice, professional and seemed concerned about your issues. Other than that I have no complaints. Update I was unaware that messages left on their phone was monitored and checked, that was my bad. As far as the business I would highly recommend. Sorry I did not know

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to the office. I was greeted by warm friendly faces, which goes a long way. My hygienist was very kind while taking x-rays and doing my cleaning. She let me know what she was gonna do next before she started. Dr. Huang was very friendly when going over my x-rays and letting me know what she seen. I look forward to future visits with this office.

Fantastic experience: I have a fear of dentist leading me to not go previously, but everyone made it very comfortable. The hygienist took my fears into concern which helped me relax, the front staff were friendly. I did not meet Dr. Linda but will at my next appt. The only desire I have is for them to be open longer hours on Thursday and to be open Fridays. Things a continuation of my previous post. The entire staff is phenomenal. Dr. Linda was great and caring. Brooke was her assistant and she was great as well. Both listened to my issues and concerns. I highly recommend this practice

Fantastic experience: Had extensive work started on Wednesday of this week. I was in the chair for a little over 3.5 hours, with all of the staff supporting me (even provided me with a fuzzy blanket). Dr. Linda worked really hard and was able to save a tooth and Brooke made me a temporary bridge until I am healed enough for impressions. I always know they have my back and will make sure it is a pain free experience. They are also up front on estimates and are truthful (thanks Joan).

Negative experience: After getting a second opinion I feel it was best to make a review so that other people wouldn’t make my same mistake of going here. I went to the dentist a year ago and was told my teeth were beyond repair and they wanted to pull 10+ of my teeth and my 4 wisdom teeth (all came in with no problem except 1). They said my teeth were beyond repair of fillings and root canals and could not be saved. Mind you, I am a 25 year old, very young to have 10+ missing teeth. After going to a new dentist today, I was told I would need 1 root canal, a few filings and a crown over a previously done root canal. They said I have good bone density and with regular brushing, flossing, and chewing sugar free gum that I would be in good dental health after some slight work was done. I believe halls family dentistry does not want to deal with someone who has anything more than a few fillings needed. They lacked compassion and knowledge in office and I would recommend everyone that goes here to get another opinion.

Dr. Linda was thorough and answered all the questions I had. The hygienist gave me additional tips for home care. Looking forward to my new home here at Halls Family Dental!

Fantastic experience: From the moment we walked into the door we were greeted with so many smiling faces. Everyone was so friendly and made my girls feel so safe and not nervous at all. Our hygienist, Chelsea was so friendly and gentle, great with kids in every way. The dentist, dr Linda was very quick and easy with my girls and always asks if we have any concerns or questions. The whole visit was so smooth and quick. My girls can’t wait to go back.

Fantastic experience: The administrative staff is friendly and helpful, and the dental professionals (I have had Chelsea and Guerin, although not sure about spelling) were very informative, delicate and efficient. UPDATE: I have now completed my extensive dental restoration at Halls Family Dentistry, and wanted to add one additional comment. At about my fourth of six eventual visits to take care of my terribly neglected teeth, it dawned on me that absolutely everything that this practice does was centered around me as patient/customer. They are always pleasant, helpful, informative and ultra-competent, but, unlike so many other medical professional offices, all their efforts strive to keep the patient/customer front and center when it comes to how each step of the experience is conducted. This is so refreshingly different from how so many other medical professionals conduct their practice, when I've felt more like a part on an assembly line than the one receiving the care. Consequently, I can only repeat my highest recommendation for Halls Family Dentistry, and thank them all from the bottom of my heart for giving me back my peace of mind regarding my teeth, and making the process actually quite pleasant. Nine-month update: I am now nearly a full year past my restoration and all is well. The staff gave me a care program which I have followed to the letter, and my mouth and teeth are doing very well. Cant't say enough about how reassuring it is not to have to worry that something major will go wrong and cause a major problem and expense. Thanks again to all the staff!! I would give my unqualified recommendation if anyone out there is searching for a dental practice. I have been very generous with my praise of this practice, and after a little more than a year with them, and after all the restoration work and check-ups to make sure everything stayed in good shape, I can only say that this practice has to be experienced to be appreciated. The people are wonderful, the care is top-notch, the facilities and amenities are nicer than anywhere I've ever been, and my confidence level is through the roof. Thank you all for the wonderful care. Since I have been generous with my praise of this practice, I won't repeat myself, except to say that I fully endorse everything I have said previously. I ended up having to bring my 4month old to my appt.for a filling and cleaning. Not only were they super quick and efficient but when my little one was over his infant carrier they all stepped in to help so I could get my stuff done. The dental hygienist, assistants, front desk receptionist all of them were great help and it was so appreciated. Love this office, Dr. Linda and all her staff!!
