Negative experience: The staff was pleasant while there. I missed my 1st appointment due to a mistake the schedule made but when I went into appointment about broken tooth the dentist seemed like 2 different people after explaining options and then me going with the cheaper option which was to pull tooth. The dentist seemed annoyed that I had chosen that and he was getting less money then a $1500 root canal/crown. Sorry but I am a single mother that is not made of money.....

Fantastic experience: Walked in with agonizing pain. Was treated warmly by a small group of professionals, from the front desk to Ryan---the man that made impressively quick work of a rotten tooth I worried might end me. I don't think a surgical extraction could be less traumatic. Invoice was very reasonable by any standard, but felt like a real bargain given the experience. Real pros.

Fantastic experience: My wife had cracked her tooth on a popcorn kernel while on vacation here in Maine last night. Today we needed an emergency dental appointment. Thankfully, York Village Dental was able to take us right in at three o'clock.This afternoon. Doctor Ryan Smith offered us several possible solutions as to what could be done. Ultimately, the tooth was broken and had to be pulled. It was amazing to see that he could do a root canal and make and install a permanent crown in his office that day before we left if needed. He could also do an implant as well. His level of skill and ability are unmatched. His staff are top of the line as well. We couldn't have found a better place to have this taken care of. Thank you York Village Dental!!!

Fantastic experience: Update! I did it again. ignored a bad tooth and had to go in for a emergency extraction. Same polite, gentle, caring and efficient care. Extremely pleased the staff understands and "deals" with my terrible gag reflex. It makes their job a lot harder. Ten stars! Lynn the administrative assistant was kind and compassionate about my dental emergency. Worked to get me squeezed into Dr. Ryan's schedule for a molar extraction. Dr Ryan knew how to work around my awful gag reflex and once pain medications took effect pulled the molar in under two minutes. 10 outta 10!

Fantastic experience: Happy to be going to York Village Dental. My hygienist is great! Love how they even check for any lumps and cancer. They make you very comfortable and you leave with your teeth feeling so clean! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dr.Ryan is a confident dentist. After breaking a tooth, I was able to get into see Ryan the next day. He works efficiently and rearranged his schedule to get me a crown right then. I was out the door with a new crown in a little more than an hour. Great work.

Fantastic experience: Went to York Village Dental after 7 years without a dental cleaning and with some anxiety about dental procedures. Everyone was very nice and understanding. I felt welcomed. New patient paperwork was straightforward but thorough. I had all kinds of x-rays and had my cleaning all in the one visit with a follow up in four months. It was very efficient and I liked the music that was playing. Happy to see them again.

She was super gentle, talked me through everything she was doing (which was SO helpful for my anxiety) and she educated me about things that have never been explained before. In all the years I’ve been going to the dentist I’ve never had a more pleasant experience than the one I had with her today! I told her to always book me with her from now on!

Fantastic experience: I started going to York Village Dental in 2021 when I had a possible dental emergency a week before a trip to sing in the UK in 2021. The dentist I had been going to for 30+ years had retired and that practice was without a full time dentist. So they couldn't see me. Rather than tell me truth about their situation they blamed me for not visiting them during the pandemic. Say what? Dr Smith stayed late to see me and didn't want to charge me for what turned out to be a non-problem. He was most reassuring. I am happy to have stayed with Village Family Dental. I had to cancel a cleaning last year and the practice manager has bent over backwards to offer me times for a cleaning and what I feared was a problem. I would definitely recommend them to someone in need of a dentist and feel lucky I found Village Family Dental.

Positive experience: Sarah the new hygienist was excellent, efficient and thorough. Dr. Ryan’s office is a very well kept, nice space with good people working for him. There have been some hiccups with insurance for us but I think most of the time it’s been good on the insurance side and not the York Village Dental one.

Fantastic experience: Recently moved to this office as I want a full service dental office. First visit was good. Only complaint is the room I was in is actually two rooms with just a wall between chairs. The person in the next chair was clearly elderly and the hygienist had to speak very loudly so the patient could hear, the patient also had to speak very loudly. I found that distracting and uncomfortable. They do have individual rooms, which I will request on future visits.

Fantastic experience: I lost a crown, and they got me in quickly to get it replaced. Others told me I was looking at weeks before getting in to see a dentist. Extremely friendly and helpful front office staff. Dental staff are equally friendly and competent. The crown was re-set promptly, painlessly and perfectly in no time. These people care about their patients - and what they do generally. Probably my best dental experience ever.

Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency tooth removal on their day off. I called At 6:30 in the morning, told them I had an appointment for 830 and another location unless they could do it. Five minutes later, they told me to be at the office at 7:30. I’ve always had great service here. Professionalism care and concern are their main points. I refer everybody to check them out.

Fantastic experience: I am visiting in town (a summer resident); this is not my personal dentist (normally!) I have an extreme toothache, and a cousin who is a patient at this office recommended this office. It turns out I need a root canal, and I was referred to another specialist's office that does that. I greatly appreciate Lynn getting me in so quickly and the doctor's rapid analysis and referral. Now that I am established, if I need dental service when I am in town, I know where to go.

Negative experience: Doctor suggested a very expensive procedure and did not offer or explain what my options might be. He relied on staff to do most of the talking even though they don’t have dental degrees. Staff says I was not charged for the visit, but excuse me, I have dental insurance. And you knew I was coming back for a night guard for which I paid $500. Happy to report there are better dentists in the neighborhood.

Fantastic experience: Okay I received dental implants from another dentist. On Easter Sunday they can loose in fell out of my mouth. I was able to call York village dental and Dr Ryan came in that day Easter Sunday and address the problem. That was very grateful I would highly recommend Dr Ryan!

Sarah and Lynn were able to get me in the next day. These are two of the most sweetest people you will ever meet ! In my almost 70 years Ryan was the best dentist you could ask for ! Everything explained, very relaxed and took the time to extract my bad tooth. Leslie, Ryan's assistant was so wonderful and caring. I can never thank these wonderful, caring people enough.

Fantastic experience: First visit. Parking was easily accesed and available. Where to go into the building "ingress" was clearly marked. Once inside building, clean well lit, location signage excellent. Receptionist, friendly and articulate, made me feel like they were happy to have me as a patient. Reception area, really nice, clean and well lit, plenty of seating. Hygienist, well dressed, well spoken and friendly. Greated me with enthusiasm, provided verbal overview of the practice. Patient room, bright clean, solid sheetrock walls, pleasant paint Gray/Blueish color with white trim. Not noisey, very little crosstalk coming from other patients/conversations. Ambient noise leveles were also reasonable. Floor LVP. Exam/dental chair was clean, not worn, comfortable. Hygienist explained each steps of their "New patient onboardimg" process. Hygienist seemed to do a thorough exam and cleaning, wasnt rushed, she communicated well and tested a few times for my comfort. The doc/dentist introduction was smooth, felt genuine, like he also appreciated his patients, He's been with the practice for some time and recently had a opportunity to take over ownership. All in all, really enjoyed the visit and professionalism of the atmosphere and employees.
