Fantastic experience: I had my first visit at Rice Creek Family Dentistry on Monday, February 16, 2026. My first encounter was with Aubrey, the office manager. She took me to the exam room. She was friendly, personable, kind and professional. After she took my x-ray, Dr Biwer came in. He was just as friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I didn't feel as though he was in a rush. He was willing to answer any questions I had. I felt a sense of comfort after speaking with him concerning my treatment options. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I am looking forward to returning for treatment. I highly recommend this dentistry!

Negative experience: I recently scheduled a last minute appointment at this office after chipping a front tooth. I already have a regular dentist in Greenville, but I needed to be seen sooner. The dental hygienist was excellent! She was very caring, thorough, and probably one of the best cleanings I’ve had. Unfortunately, my experience with the dentist was very different. After a very brief exam, I was told I had between 6–9 cavities, and the conversation quickly escalated from “a cavity” to “you’ll probably need a root canal.” I was shocked by both the number of issues presented and how quickly such an invasive procedure was suggested. I also felt the bedside manner was lacking, which made the experience more uncomfortable. I left with a treatment plan totaling nearly $4,000. Given the extent of the recommendations, I decided to contact my regular dentist for a second opinion. I’m very glad I did. My regular dentist was able to save the tooth without needing a root canal, and I only had two additional cavities. I strongly encourage anyone facing significant dental work to seek a second opinion before proceeding. While I appreciated the hygienist’s care, my experience overall left me very uneasy.

Negative experience: I’ve been with Rice Creek since 2019. It started with great doctors and a great system. I attended my appointment six months ago and noticed a lot had changed to prolong a simple cleaning. I began to have reservations. Had another cleaning recently and the process was torture. First while I’m getting my teeth cleaned I hear nothing but a walkie talkie at my ear listing to each hygienist notify the doctor that they are ready for her to come to their room. She shows up and does not go in the order in which the hygienist said they were ready. My cleaning was first and done first, but had to wait an additional 15 minutes for her to see two other patients who were done after me. I did not like my interaction with the doctor. She was fast talking and did not answer or address any of my questions. Instead, she prescribed medicated toothpaste. When she left I advised my hygienist to not give me any paperwork with prescriptions. After this I waited an additional 5 minutes for the front desk to radio that they were clear and ready to check me out. I stood at check out for 15 minutes waiting on the lady to complete paperwork. I advised them I would be finding another dentist office. A process that normally took 30-45 minutes took and hour and 10 this time. Ridiculous!

I promise you this is the best dental office in South Carolina. I feel like I’m back up North with the treatment and procedures! Very professional and clean, precise, and up to date with all new treatments and techniques! I hadn’t the best dental assistants like Kenny, he was so awesome with informing me and encouraging me along the way! A real pleasure! Negative experience: On September 8th, I had a tooth extraction and a temporary bridge placed the same day. I was sent home with only ibuprofen and told the pain should stop within 1–2 days. A week later, I was still in pain. I went back in, had X-rays done, and told them I was hurting. They gave me a rinse and antibiotics, assuring me the pain should resolve in “a day or so.” Another week passed, still in pain. I called the office one afternoon to request emergency services. The front desk told me they’d call me back the next morning to work me in. No one ever called. I called again and reached the answering service. They promised to relay the message so someone from the office could call me for emergency care. Once again, the next day, no one called. Now, it’s September 26th. I’ve been in pain since the 8th, and the office has still not returned my calls. Once I received my permanent bridge, I won’t be returning to this office for services.

A day later they put a temporary crown over my cracked tooth with a follow up for a permanent crown. Efficient staff and excellent Dentist. Negative experience: I was hoping to find a dental clinic but unfortunately had such an absolutely HORRIBLE traumatic experience weeks ago. The employees were very unprofessional. Talking about their patients as I over heard an employee talking about a patients personal information out loud! That is definitely against HIPPA rules/regiualtions!!! Will definitely not be coming back to Rice Creek Family Denistry. I should’ve did more research & read the reviews here before making an appointment.

Negative experience: The 2 star is for the front office mainly. My appt was at 10:00, I was seen at 10:40. When I spoke to the receptionist at 10:40 regarding my appt time after seeing others in the waiting area being serviced. I was told my appt was at 10:30, which was not true because I had an appt card saying 10. Once in the exam area the exam tech told me I was in for an new patient evaluation, when my appt was for a cleaning which she didn't know if she would have time to do. Not sure I will go back.

Fantastic experience: My sons and I had a wonderful experience getting our teeth cleaned on July 3, 2025. As usual, wonderful customer service. I had a fill-in hygienist who was very sweet. She was not my regular hygienist. However, she went above and beyond to make my cleaning experience with her wonderful. She was very professional, kind and understood my preference of consistency with using the same hygienist on my visits. Most importantly, she did not take it personally! and provided me with quality care. My sons had a wonderful experience with their hygienist as well. Dr. B was also wonderful!

Negative experience: My initial service was amazing she took her time, explained and my teeth felt really clean. Don’t recall what her name is. The dental hygienist on 6/12 was nice, but felt as if my service was a bit rushed. My teeth did not feel as clean. Thank you.

Negative experience: Over the last few years there have been changes in the dentists and bookkeepers. I’ve been disappointed in the changes. I get charged at the time of the appointment and the rest is billed to my insurance and sometimes get an extra bill within a few weeks with any difference - all perfectly acceptable. What I’m concerned about is that months later I get an additional bill. When I call to question the bill, I get very vague answers and am never given an itemized bill to look at for myself. We are currently looking for a new dentist.

Negative experience: Would give zero stars if I could- Waited about 6 weeks for a new patient appointment. Arrived at the practice 25 minutes before my schedule appointment only to find out the canceled my appointment. When I called to schedule the appointment the appointment schedule inputted my phone number wrong. At no time when I called to scheduled the appointment did they mention that they would cancel if appointment was not confirmed. I travel for work during the week so it is very hard to reschedule appointments. They did nothing to try and fit me in for the day. The lady short blonde hair at the front desk was condescending in calling me honey and insinuating that I provided the wrong phone number. Very Very poor customer service.

Fantastic experience: So far I've had nothing but great care! They do their very best to take care of your needs for your appearance.

Negative experience: I had a cavity filled here, and the dentist filled it in too much which led to a ton of tooth pain. He tried adjusting several times with no success, and he eventually adjusted it so deeply, that I had to get a root canal. I was then informed that the dentist that performed the filling was a BACKUP dentist because the primary dentist was not in the country. I was not informed of this before the filling. I was told I would get a refund for the filling, which took them MONTHS to do. And I was supposed to get a crown on the root canal, which they never did. No one has reached out since, despite my countless efforts to get this scheduled. If possible, I'd avoid this dentistry. From my experience, it's not professionally run.

Negative experience: Went in for an emergency appointment, not sure how long the lady at the front desk has been dealing with insurance but she claimed I wasn’t showing under my insurance. I then proceeded to pull up my insurance to show that I was enrolled. Even then she still claimed she couldn’t find me. Due to her incompetence of not being able to pull my insurance I had to pay out of pocket. Once I got home I reached out to my insurance company and explained what happened, they confirmed AGAIN that I was enrolled. She proceeded to give me a number for them to call so they could verify as well. I called the dentist office gave them the information and was told the lady at the front desk would reach out and give me a call back. I never got a call back following up about my insurance but I did get a text to give them a review. So here it is.

Negative experience: I called to ask a question Wednesday morning about my son’s root canal referral and to see if it’s possible to get a filling instead. I was told by the receptionist that she’d ask the dentist and call me later that day. I did not receive a call back. I called 6 times at different points throughout the day yesterday trying to speak with someone to get clarification. I left a voicemail yesterday morning with no follow up. I called a little before 5 pm and got their answering service. I cancelled my cleaning that was scheduled for Monday and the woman said she’d relay the message to this office to call me. I called again this morning and no one answered. My son has an appointment for a root canal at the Endodontist where he was referred. I’m going to cancel it and find care elsewhere. Since no one has been answering the phone here, I’m not sure how I would schedule getting the crown done. It’s very disheartening and unprofessional. I’m not the type of person to leave bad reviews, this experience has led me to based on poor customer service and lack of follow up. I’ve been a patient here since 2013. Dr Jackson’s and his staff were by far the best.

They listened to my concerns and what would be the best treatment options for me. I was very nervous to find out what work had to be done but they communicated with me in a great manner. Negative experience: I came to my appointment and was not signed in at all. I did not receive any treatment until 1+ hour after my scheduled appointment time. The staff member , MIRANDA, was very dismissive and was not very kind. She made condescending remarks about my teeth, but did not offer any encouragement or even recommendations. As service providers and healthcare PROFESSIONALS, this facility lacks the ability to serve their patients in a productive and respectful manner.

Negative experience: Was not advised of the provider change prior to my visit last year. Was never told that the new dentist was not in my network and I am stuck with a large bill. My service was in July 2024 and I received my bill for that service January 2025. I have been calling for an explanation and no one responds. I loved the staff before the change as they were very welcoming and professional. And I was never formally advised of their new location until I passed the building while driving by. Unacceptable.

Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment for December 31, 2024 about three months ago. At the time of making my appointment I asked them were they sure that they would be open because it was New Year's Eve. They assured me that they would be. Today December 27, I received a call saying that they needed to reschedule my appointment because the doctor would not be in. I then asked them when could I reschedule the appointment and they told me that it would be the end of January before I could be seen. This would have been my first appointment with them, but it's crazy to me that I have to wait an additional month because they're lack of planning. Based off this alone, I will not be going to this establishment for dental care.

Fantastic experience: I brought my 3 children for their 6-month cleaning. Everyone was very nice, patient, accommodating, and understanding with our kids.

Fantastic experience: Had my new patient appointment the other day and I am excited for the future of my teeth. I have not had the best oral care in my youth and have been struggling with the results. I did not feel judged by any of the staff or doctor and they were really helpful and comforting to be around. Within a year or so my teeth should look so much better and I cannot be more excited. Ill post before and after photos to my review at a later time but not now because I'm embarrassed about how my teeth look. The staff in this office are all so nice. I recommend giving them a try.

Fantastic experience: The staff had changed since the last time I was seen here. My most recent experience was awesome. Had a wisdom tooth break and a sharp edge was cutting my cheek. They got me in next day and got X-rays done as well as my tooth shaved down/rounded off. I can’t thank them enough!

Negative experience: My experience was Horrible!! I waited to write review, to see if this office would do the right thing. My initial appointment was in 7/31/24 I went in for the first visit, it was ok, but i was a little uneasy because Dr Bailey didnt spend anytime talking to me as a new patient. He checked my mouth and stated the teeth that needed to be extracted and moved on. I knew i would need dentures so i told him what i wanted. After that i was interacting with the assistance. I had xrays and a mouth scan done. I asked the assistance if that was something new they do now because i was expecting to have a mold done of my teeth. I actually had to return to get another scan done 8/09/24, because the first one was done incorrectly . On 8/30/24 I had (6) teeth extracted. After anesthesia took affect Dr Bailey begain pulling my teeth. In the midst of him pulling my teeth one of the ladies in the office needed assistance with her patient. Dr Bailey left me to go assist the lady. (LEFT LYING THERE) While im laying there feeling totally vulnerable and uncomfortable. I then had to motion to the assistance in the room who was not paying any attention to me to give me suction so i wouldn't swallow blood. I was so upset. Later when Dr Bailey returned to complete my extraction, i started regaining feeling about time he started putting my stitches in i moaned because it was very uncomfortable. He never asked if i was ok? (meaning- in pain) I received temp dentures that were too BIG for my mouth. I kept saying they were too big. While everyone in the front office was trying to convince me that my own eyes were lying to me. The teeth were so big that i could hardly close my mouth. I Ieft it alone because i wasn't in the position to change anything at that time. I was not feeling well, and the feeling was coming back in my mouth. I went home and had to returned to the office TWICE the day i had my teeth pulled becausei neededto have some adjustmentson the top. When the the feelings returned the more painful the dentures were. Dr Bailey DID NOT give me any pain medication. (AFTER I HAD 6 TEETH PULLED)He suggested i take Tylenol an or Motrin. I went back for adjustments the following Tuesday & Wednesday. I expressed that i didn't like the dentures. (The teeth on the dentures were nice) but the denture was long and wide. i started that i could not talk nor eat with them, they were nothing but GUM . When Dr Bailey initially put them in my mouth i as gagging because they went so far to the back of my throat. I asked to have then redone. Dr Bailey stated that " this is what the lab sent" Dr Bailey said he would redo them but made no effort to do so. I also had no confidence that they would do a better job. I was not happy with this office. I told Dr Bailey i had scheduled an appointment with another dentist. I did not trust that i would be satisfied with that office, I will give them the temp dentures back, because there's too big for my mouth anyway. I expressed my DISSATISFACTION and I felt Dr Bailey did not care. I care.. I have received bills from them but no one has returned my calls. I am big on customer service, i treat everyone with repect. I expected more than what i received. I deserved better service than I received. People never forget how you make them feel. I went to another Dentist (9) days later and i am very pleased with the service i received and the dentures. I told all my friends about my experience with this Dental Office !

Fantastic experience: My anxiety was up too the heavens. I never experienced a dentist who ease my mind while having an extraction. I recommend all to visit him very pleasant staff too!

Fantastic experience: Quick and great service. I had a college bound freshman. They allowed last min cleaning and accommodations for 2 filings needed that same day.

Negative experience: The dentist and his assistant were very unprofessional. I left wet and with tooth fragments everywhere. This place has a high rating from the previous dentist, not the current one.

Fantastic experience: I had to take my son to get a cavity looked at. Dr. Jackson did an exam and recommended the tooth be extracted. I was a little nervous and didn’t know how my son would act. I came back in the next evening to get his tooth extracted. As soon as I arrive they were able to get me and my son back. When Dr. Jackson entered the room he immediately gave all attention to my son and explained to him what he was going to do in a manner that my son was comfortable with it. He continued to talk to my son through the procedure and keep him calm. Long story short, this office is AMAZING! The staff was extremely professional and Dr. Jackson was amazing working with my son. If you are in the northeast and surrounding areas (Ridgeview, Longtown Rd., Killian Rd., Lake Carolina & Blythewood) I would definitely recommend RICE CREEK FAMILY DENTISTRY!
