Fantastic experience: The staff is super friendly and kind. Dr. Carpenter and Collado are great dentists and care for their patients. I had a tooth that was very painful. Although Dr. Carpenter was full of patients, he took me during his lunch hour and helped me with my painful tooth. I cannot thank him enough for his patience and his willingness to help me through all my pain. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this dentist for 2 years now and it has been the best dentist office I've ever gone to, hands down! I got a tip from a co-worker about what good service they gave so I gave them a call and I could not be happier. They always make sure you are very comfortable and think of the customer first. They don't rush anything and they don't just try to upsell you on services. Every dentist in San Diego has urged me to get a night guard but this dentist said it was optional because they are so expensive. The equipment they use is very new and everything is very sanitary.

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin? From the first moment you walk into their office you are always greeted with top-notch customer service and genuine human kindness. The office is clean, organized, and there are no surprises, both clinically and financially. The office staff (huge shout out to Raelynn who is the gem of the office! Beth, who handles a ton of behind the scenes and after hours coordination) handles the insurance claims with precision. The appointments are available, on time, both routinely and urgently. The dental hygienists are very gentle and competent. Everyone responds to calls, emails. Dr. Carpenter has treated my husband and children. He is excellent! Dr. Quisar is wonderful and is very competent! Dr. Collado is AMAZING! I don’t mean the normal amazing. I mean the kind of amazing doctor who goes completely above and beyond your expectations. I could seriously list an abundance of examples! What I love more than anything is the no nonsense, high-quality, straightforward approach. We are a family of five and we have received PHENOMENAL care from routine dentistry, crowns, ortho-invisilign (adult and pediatric), and more. If I could give a ten-star review this would be the office for sure! Outstanding! Outstanding! Outstanding!

Fantastic experience: 12/23/25 ~ Had Dr Carpenter look at a tooth that'll be I was concerned about. Turns out, everything is just fine! Happy about that. 7/22/25 ~ Dr Matt Carpenter again managed to fit me into their busy schedule today. I wasn't able to have my teeth cleaned up in Utah, due to me needing to drive to CA for medical reasons. They gracefully made room for me in his clinic, at a schedule that worked for me. The staff, as always, is so welcoming, just as I recall. If you are looking for a new dentist, including cosmetic dentistry, he's your man! Dr Matt Carpenter is the absolute best. I sure miss having him for my dental care. I wish he would relocate to St George UT. I was amazed that he fit me in his schedule today, last minute. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas.

He was able to do something what my other dentist couldnt do. Best of all, I do not need to go gum surgery with perodontics. I won't go into details, but I had to visit emergency place twice. This new dental clinic is completely different from any other dental clinic I've ever been to. Fantastic experience: Great experience! Dentist and hygienist were caring and professional.

Negative experience: I went in for my regular cleaning and based on my X-Rays, Dr. Carpenter recommended an inlay procedure. I had no symptoms but did see the area on the Xray which molar showed a spot to be eventually addressed. I was informed that it was a quick procedure and I scheduled an appointment in two weeks. First concern: I went in for the procedure and was only told then that it was a 2-session process. Informed consent means that all the details of what to expect for a procedure is offered at the time of the recommendation. Not when the procedure was already started. Second concern: After the second appointment, I was not asked how the molar felt. I had to request Dr. Carpenter to slow down, spend a few moments as I shared that there were sharp edges. Why wasn’t this part of the process. Is it expected for patients to conduct their own quality check? Or is it the provider’s responsibility to ensure that the work done meets certain standards? Third concern: The day after, I felt temperature sensitivity (both hot and cold) with a weakened bite. I waited several days to see if it resolved. I called the office and was told that Dr. Carpenter was on vacation and was having trouble getting a flight back from the Memorial Day weekend. I was confused. But OK. I called back in a few days and was then informed that the provider was unable to see me and offered a new appointment with another dentist. I had no choice and agreed. Fourth concern: I saw the other provider Dr. Collado, explained my issue, and he informed me that “I could have said no to the procedure and I should have requested a filling.” Sure, I will tell all of my doctors on what they should do… Fifth concern: After Dr. Collado reluctantly addressed my concern, he informed me that Dr. Carpenter was indeed in the office with two broken hands. Ok. Couldn’t he at least met with me to discuss options rather than handing me off to another provider who clearly had feelings about seeing Dr. Carpenter’s patients? In the end, I am still I’m still having temperature sensitivity. That molar has lost its integrity. I had a final conversation with Dr. Carpenter and was offered another redo of the inlay procedure. And after much thought, why would I ever go back? So I didn’t. Final concern: My insurance was charged for the final conversation with Dr. Carpenter. Why? For what?

SO experienced and with such a big heart, totally cool. I recently spent some quality time with Dr Carpenter when I needed a new crown. So gentle and skilled! And they have a machine in the office that actually built the crown as I waited, so I didn't need a "temporary." It is absolutely wonderful to have this service, being able to walk out the door and be done with the entire process (for most situations) in one visit. I've been coming here for 25 years. I had four crowns placed by Dr. Carpenter and I'm very pleased with the results. Even though I have receding gum lines Dr. Carpenter made sure that the final result look and feel natural. I had two molar crowns placed by Dr. Collado and I am very happy with his special customization skills of the crowns. The crowns have completely restored my bite and my confidence. Staffs at this office are very courteous and friendly. They always keep customer’s benefits in mind and work at customer’s best interest when working with insurance companies.

They use state of the art equipment which ensures that they have a solid diagnosis before starting. Most importantly they are super gentle and provide a calm experience when working on my teeth. Negative experience: While I'm sure they provide proper service once you get in, they are extremely unprofessional and downright uninformed when it comes to checking insurance. While attempting to work on their onboarding paperwork we included a copy of our PPO Dental Insurance ID. They immediately cancelled our appointment "because we have an HMO". Upon further inspection of my card, the backside of the card has two phone numbers- one for our plan and one for an HMO plan. That was as far as the office would look before getting short with us and cancelling our appointment. When I called back to point out that it was just an additional phone number, the person on the phone once again got short with me and seemed intent on assuring we wouldn't become patients. More than happy to never step foot in this office again, prospective patients beware.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday my crown fell out after 15 years when I was brushing my teeth after lunch. I called Dr. Collado's office and I was seen in 2 hours. Dr. Collado put the old one back up right away and scheduled an appt to replace it with a new one. I am glad I have Dr. Collado as my dentist whom I can rely on at all times. Fantastic experience: I had a full exam the day after my birthday. The staff was super friendly and efficient. Dr Carpenter asked about my family and gave me a thumbs up for my teeth. To my surprise, as I was leaving, the receptionist handed me a birthday present of a box of delicious French pastries! This office definitely goes above and beyond my expectations and genuinely cares about their patients while not trying to upsell procedures. They are the best!!!

We've recommended them to our friends, some of whom are now patients. Keep up the great work! Glad to see all of you again after opening since the shutdown. Fantastic experience: I had an implant done by a different dentist, and it’s been giving me trouble for many years. I found Dr. carpenter, and he has been working with me patiently to get this fixed. I only wish that I had the implant done with him in the first place.

All their work is professionally done while keeping the patients comfortable and informed. I heartily recommend them for routine dental preventative care and Invisalign, too.

This was by far the best experience in a dental office I have had. They were accommodating and understanding of my anxiety of being in a dental office, and the high sensitivity of my teeth.
