Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Sitwell Dental. I went to this office specifically because I was dealing with bruxism and was looking for treatment that would address both the symptoms and the underlying problem. Dr. John replaced eight teeth on my upper arch with crowns. After the crowns had already been cemented, It was realized that they were slanted. Having extensive dental work completed and then discovering an issue with the crowns afterward was extremely concerning and left me very unhappy with the care I received. On my lower arch, my teeth were also shaved down and temporary fillings were placed. I did not feel that this adequately addressed the problems I originally came to the office to have treated, Dr.John also realized this and did not charge me for the fillings on bottom teeth as seen in receipt. In my experience, the treatment I received did not resolve the underlying issue, nor did I feel that the resulting symptoms were handled appropriately. The entire experience left me feeling that I underwent significant and irreversible dental work without getting the solution I was looking for. I have serious concerns about the quality and approach to the treatment I received, and I regret choosing this office for my dental care. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to extensive treatment here. I personally would not return to Sitwell Dental and would not recommend this office to others.

Fantastic experience: I recently had Dr John O’Brien do crowns for teeth 30/31. He is a gifted dentist and a consummate professional. I also had an excellent experience with a hygienist in the office who pointed out some bone loss on my Xray. I was grateful for this information as I’d discontinued an osteoporosis med due to the acid reflux side effect. I now know I have to take additional Ca/Mg supplements. The office is bright, modern, and cutting edge. I received the highest quality dental care there with a minimum of pain & discomfort. Dr John is the real deal. I can recommend Sitwell/Malta without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: I have always one been terrified… and I mean terrified of the dentist and from the very first time I saw dr John and his team I lost any bit of fear I had. His patience, knowledge and quickness has made all the difference in my life and I’m forever grateful.

Negative experience: I proactively called Sitwell after open enrollment to confirm my appointments. The appointments were confirmed but I was told my insurance would be dropped in the new year. Despite this, they canceled all my future appointments without notifying me. Nowhere—neither verbally nor in their stock letter—did they say it was my responsibility to reach out if I wanted to stay a patient. This was not the first lack of communication I’ve had from this office. Frustrating and disappointing.

We are grateful to be able to be seen promptly when an issue happens and for the kindness of the entire team no matter who you see. I must absolutely refer she has done much dental work for us. Dr Chang is gracious, gentle, patient and meticulous! We have been to both Malta and Saratoga offices and seen both John and Tiffany. Kudos to your entire staff! You haven't let us down your great for our community! I totally recommend readers see for yourself! ❤️

Fantastic experience: I started coming to this office about 6 months ago following several years of avoiding dentists due to previous negative experiences that lead to severe dental anxiety and fear. Dr. John has now completed several extractions, bone grafts, crowns, root canals, and fillings with an implant surgery booked for next month. I no longer have fear or anxiety prior to my appointments as Dr. John has established an excellent rapport and I trust him with all of my dental work! Dental hygienist Haley was the first person I met on my first appointment in the office, and her kindness and compassion is what lead me to having trust in a dental office for the first time and committing to a long list of procedures I need to get my dental health back on track. I have yet to have anything but a positive experience with any of the treatment team at this office. Anxiety/embarrassment surrounding my dental health has always been a huge part of my life, and I am so glad that it is no longer a worry coming to this office. Thank you Dr. John and the rest of the Sitwell team!

Fantastic experience: I went for a cleaning today with Haley! She is the one doing my cleaning since I started going to Sitwell Malta and no need to try another one to know she is doing the job right. She is very detailed and knowledgeable. She hears you and make all her efforts to make you feel comfortable at all times. I even shyly said that I didn’t like the cleaning with water and with no hesitation she switched to the regular cleaning tool. I just want all my cleaning appointments to be done by her! She is kind and sweet! Thank you Haley!!!

Fantastic experience: Edit: just went back for a double extraction. Dr Chang is simply talented and amazing and I love her professional and sweet personality. She is so gentle that I barely felt TWO extractions. First visit for a root canal. I am terrified of the dentist. Dr. Chang and Arielle were so amazing. Arielle was so sweet and made me feel welcome and less scared. Dr. Chang and Arielle did great quick work, didn’t judge me or hurt me. Dr. Chang was able to save a badly decayed tooth and not extract. Sitwell is also in network for state workers which was hard for me to find a more advanced dentist that took my insurance. The tvs above are a wonderful touch I loved watching the dogs!!! They also got me in the next day after calling them. Thank you guys so so much again!

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE, THEY HAVE HIDDEN FEES, THEY LIE AND SAY THEY WILL CHECK YOUR INSURANCE TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE COVERED BUT AFTER DOING PROCEDURES AND WORK THEY LATER BILL YOU.

Fantastic experience: First time at Sitwell Malta and had a great experience. (With one small suggestion). My hygienist Sheila was great at putting me at ease; very welcoming and gentle since my teeth are super sensitive. All areas were clean and equipment appeared state of the art. Dr Cami was so nice and thorough. Answering all my questions about future care. I would highly recommend. Just one small pet peeve…. I arrived 20 minutes early for a 9 am appt and wasn’t asked to fill out new patient forms until 9 - the receptionist had forgotten! Not a deal breaker but a little annoying. Other than that, everyone from check in to check out was courteous and helpful

I went yesterday to have some teeth prepped for crowns they knew I was nervous but made me so comfortable from the time I walked in to the time I left. Fantastic experience: If your looking for a Dental Practice that’s spotless, efficient, and caring go to Sitwell Dental. It’s a 10 in my book. EVERYONE in that practice is outstanding! My first visit in the Malta office was exceptional. I got cold and was going to run to my car to get my coat, but they said, don’t worry about it. They gave me a blanket that one of the office staff made during COVID. It was spotless, warm and beautifully made. I’ve been to their Clifton Park Office for a Root Canal, and again, EVERYONE was outstanding! The Dentist, Dr. John O’Brien, was incredible, gentle, and very likable! Obviously I can’t say enough good things about them.

Negative experience: DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!! I have had a lot of dental work done in my life and have always been okay with it. After going here I have nightmares about all my teeth falling out ( I've never dreamed about that until this place). I have had bad experiences with two of their dentists here. One who did some fillings and crowns for me. She did the Novocaine shot and it felt like fire going up my cheek. Also, my face was numb for FOUR HOURS following this appointment. It looked like I had a stroke. I've never experienced this until her and I have had a lot of dental work done. I wanted to give her a pass, it does happen, sometimes they hit a nerve and that happens. So I went back for a different filling, and it happened again except this time my vision went blurry for three minutes. I told my coworker this experience and she told me that she had a similar experience but her vision went completely black for a couple minutes. Turns out it was the same dentist, this is clearly something she does often. After that, I requested another one of their dentists and they told me a lot of patients asked to change after an appointment with this woman. I don't know why they kept her on staff for as long as they did. So with this new dentist, I went because the filling that I had done the previous time crumbled the next day. So, the receptionist told me that I would love this new dentist because everyone does. I did not, she didn't believe my filling crumbled and instead of just looking at it stuck a sharp metal tool in the filling hole. If you've ever had a filling, you know how painful that is. So, you are better off going literally anywhere else. I for one am never going here again.

Fantastic experience: Heather was extremely helpful in setting up my appointment and making sure everything went smoothly on my first visit. Sheila was a great hygienist, very personable and gentle while cleaning! Overall, it was a great first experience! I would recommend Sitwell to anyone! Also as I in the waiting room, another patient arrived with an appointment at the Clifton Park office, they were extremely accommodating and got her in to the Malta office promptly! Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dentist for about a year. The offices are clean, welcoming, and relaxing. The staff are helpful, and do great work. I was able to get a filling within 2 days before a trip. Parking is also plentiful.

Negative experience: The office visit was fine. I was told that I needed a number of old metal fillings removed and crowned, which is understandable, I'm old. But my problem was that the dentist said they would have to submit it to my insurance first and that insurances often deny these as they would rather wait until you need a root canal. So they submitted and I waited. A month goes by and I find out I was denied, all the while I'm still having discomfort in one tooth. I spoke to my insurance and they said the x-rays didn't show any failures. They also said that instead of submitting all of them at once, it would have been better to submit for the one causing me the most problems first. The rep said they would be happy to discuss it further with the office and would reconsider. I called the office and left a message with the details of the call and asked for someone to call me back. That has been a month and still no call. Sorry, but if I have to hound you for decent care, I'll go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Little bit of a longer review but in short this is the best Dentist you'll ever go to. 5/5 Early on in my life i had several unpleasant experiences associated to Dentists. The sound of the drills, the pain, being told "you wont feel a thing" then feeling agonizing pain. Someone manhandling your jaw and feeling like you got kicked in the mouth the next several days after the appointment. As an adult now in my 30's i thought that finding an affordable and caring dentist were two things i could not have at the same time. I became a new patient at this location last year and they have been nothing but amazing the entire time. The staff is always so accommodating and friendly. When you ask about coverage they let you know the deal right away. And the Drs are honest and treat you with respect. To date i have gotten the following done at this location: 1- annual exam w/ comprehensive xrays / cleaning 1- wisdom tooth extraction 2- fillings ALL PAIN FREE! seriously! I was mostly impressed on the wisdom tooth extraction. I had my bottom 2 wisdom teeth removed at my past dentist and they were yanking and drilling and it felt like it would never end! Must have been 2 hours in that chair and boy was it painful and that's how i thought the final tooth was going to go. When i had my last wisdom tooth removed at THIS office it took her 15 minutes total, i felt nothing tbe whole time AND recovery was quick with only the bleeding being the minor annoyance but that part is normal. They know what they are doing here! There have been 2 times in the past couple of months where i have experienced random severe tooth pain and both times they made availability to see me the same day. I have never experienced that amount of urgency for my own well being and don't take it for granted, but knowing that they were there when i needed them really speaks volumes about how they conduct themselves as a business and as professionals. Thank you to all the staff at the Malta Sitwell location. You are all a shining example of what care and compassion should be.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency dental situation & they scheduled me the same day I called. I was a new patient for Sitwell & I was assured I would be well taken care of. After using state of the art equipment, Dr Chen diagnosed I needed root canal & prescribed antibiotic right away, which alleviated the excruciating pain. The following week, Dr J O’Brien performed the root canal. I was so nervous because it was my first one ever but he was so skilled that it took less than an hour & felt almost no discomfort during the procedure. I expected to be sore afterwards but once the numbness went away, I had very little soreness which was managed by taking only 1 Motrin for 2days. The crown on my tooth was not damaged which was something I was concerned about. The office staff is so kind & professional. I highly recommend this practice, because I was really well taken care of! Thank you so much!

Positive experience: The office needs better communication between the patient and the dental coverage. It should be stated prior to work being performed not upon check-out, what is covered the patient responsibility will be. Surprise you owe $1,000 due today, is a bit unethical. They are friendly, but need to brush-up on their office policies.

Fantastic experience: I have the biggest fear of going to the dentist... that was until I walked into Sitwell Dental. From the moment I entered the office... the front desk staff, the assistants and the Dentists... friendly, comforting and very concerned with their patients. The office is extremely clean and welcoming. I would highly recommend them.. especially if you’re a big baby like I was!!!!

Fantastic experience: I've seen Dr. Tiffany (O'Brien) and her husband, Dr. O'Brien, and both were wonderful. Root canals aren't known for being a positive experience but I honestly have no complaints. The appointments were made extremely quickly, the office staff and assistants were all professional and the facility was very clean. I had very little pain and the new tooth works great!

Fantastic experience: I had to have 4 cavities filled. I have major dental anxiety but the Dr. was so sweet and she did a great job numbing my mouth. I didn’t feel a thing! I also get anxious with cleanings and since changing to Sitwell I haven’t had one bad experience. It’s clean and everyone is so friendly. They always take me right on time too.

Fantastic experience: This place is great. First thing, I do not like going to the dentist, like a lot of people. And the main reason is because it takes so long, going and waiting, gritting in the chair and waiting, and waiting, and waiting. As a new costumer I thought it was going to take forever but, I have never been in and out so quickly, and the service I received was outstanding, clean, professional, and informative. Would recommend Sitwell to everyone, old and young, local or out of town. I drove an hour and can’t wait to go back, weird huh?

Fantastic experience: My mouth is still numb as I type this. I am one of the hardest to deal with patients out there, and they were endlessly patient and kind the entire time. The receptionist, the assistant and Dr. Burns were so patient and kind and receptive to anything I said the entire time. I am terrified of having dental work done and today I needed a tooth extracted, they offered anything that would make me feel more comfortable and I barely even felt anything during the procedure. Will definitely keep coming here for any future dental work.

Fantastic experience: In all honesty, I hadn’t been to the dentist in almost 2 years when I walked into Sitwell today, and I was incredibly nervous. I’m happy to report that I had a fantastic visit! The staff were all very friendly, and the office was super clean (which is especially important at the moment). I look forward to my next appointment with them!

Fantastic experience: Super clean, and the staff is excellent! The hygienist Jess was AMAZING during my regular appointment- then today I had two wisdom teeth extracted and it was very quickly done. Good experiences overall, I will continue coming here for my dental needs.

Positive experience: I went this morning for a root canal and a cavity. I have severe dental anxiety and although the root canal procedure was long, it was basically pain free. Overall it was a good experience. I gave 4 stars because the Assistant was friendly and professional but really needs more technical training.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Sitwell Dental was incredible. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed in less than an hour with minimal pain considering I was awake and present the whole time, and at 1/3 of the cost I initially was preparing myself to pay. The receptionist, dental hygienists, and doctor were all helpful, pleasant to talk with, and professional. I highly recommend Sitwell Dental if you're looking for a local, high quality service with clean and modern facilities at an amazingly low cost.

Fantastic experience: Very technically savvy dentists. Friendly assistants and support staff. Lovely clean building with all of the hi-tech equipment. So far a great experience, my insurance appears to cover needs similar to past local dentists that I’ve had. Had a crown fitted recently, and the experience was quick, professional, with a good outcome. Very happy.

Fantastic experience: I'd like to thank the AWESOME team at Sitwell Dental for taking great care of me in going from a partial upper to a full denture, the entire staff was professional and caring during the entire process and I feel like a new Man with a new smile. Fantastic experience: I had severe tooth pain that I got checked out Thursday and what I feared was exactly what I thought. A root canal. I have massive dental anxiety and I avoid the dentist at all cost. At first impression they seemed real kind and answered all my questions. I felt comfortable enough to make am appointment. The next day the pain increased and didnt know what to do. I tried to push through the day and try to work through the pain. By time I got home the pain was so unbearable that I couldn't take it anymore. I emailed the website right away. The next morning Dr. Obrien called me to check on me. He got me the first available appointment for Monday and sent a script for an anitbiotic also something for the pain. It helped get me through the weekend. On Monday both Dr Burns and Dr. Tiffany took very good care of me during the procedure. The procedure took longer than anticipated but they worked together to finish the first part. I'm so happy with my service. I hate going to the dentist. Its one of my biggest fears. I highly recommend anyone with dental anxiety to come to this facility. They are kind, gentle, and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and safe. I'm so impressed. In fact I am happy to go again. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I had a severe tooth ache on Thursday 10/29. Went to see them on Friday10/30/20. I really was happy with the way my tooth turned out. It hurt afterwards but turns out it’s a normal thing. On 11/12/20 Dr Tiffany O’Brian has explained the science behind my 13th tooth root canal. It felt such a relief to learn that pain is not permanent but rather a temporary discomfort after an initial root canal. She and her awesome dental assistant were really caring, kind, and knowledge. I will definitely recommend this practice to my coworkers and friends for the root canals. Hopefully my cleaning and crown fitting experience will be great too :)
