We are all treated with respect and care by all of the staff at each of our appointments. My kids recently needed fillings :( and Dr. Bechard and her team were so child-centered and supportive :). I was in extreme pain with a bad infection in my tooth, and Nikki very patiently and compassionately continued to take my many calls! And then Emily sprang into action when a last minute opening was available on the schedule and worked some Houdini magic to get me in. I am forever grateful for these three ladies to have helped get me through a rough patch and het me put back together! Perfect teamwork in action!

Fantastic experience: Bringing my baby to see Dr. Z after a year of waking every 1-3 hours was truly life changing. We saw lactation, multiple pediatricians, eversmiles and several specialists after a sleep apnea diagnosis with no answers. She saw 2 ties right away and after a few days of them being lasered night wakings went from every 1-3 hours to 1-3 times a night. So incredibly thankful for her and the treatment we received from this amazing team.

Fantastic experience: I started going to Mount Royal Dental when I first moved to Duluth - and I didn’t know that cleanings didn’t have to hurt! They use updated technology and tools that put patient comfort first, which is so important. They actually addressed my TMJ, which I didn’t even realize could be dental-related. Not only do they make sure I’m comfortable during cleaning and exams, but they offered me several treatment options for my TMJ. In the end, I went with Invisalign, and since starting treatment, I haven’t had a single TMJ flare. And now I’m finishing with my final months of trays and I have a perfect smile to go with it! I highly recommend this office, especially if you’re prone to pain in your gums or jaw. I’ve enjoyed my entire experience with their office! Thank you!

The most detailed and professional experience, Jessica explained everything she was doing at each step! My mouth feels fantastic! I love going to the dentist but found myself feeling discouraged at my previous dentist of the past 10 years and dreaded going so decided to try a new office and totally lucked out. Fantastic experience: My first experience at the dentist that I can recall, I was a young child, terrified, crying, and received a slap across the face by the dentist for refusing to open my mouth (late 70s/early 80s.) I've had a dentist that ignored my concern of not having adequate anesthesia (twice) and then had to be peeled off the ceiling when they hit a nerve. I was also told by an orthodontist, "you have the biggest overbite I've ever seen" as an adolescent. I have been denied dental care and told to go to the ER for an abscess because I couldn't pay in full to have emergency treatment. I have had so many reasons to despise the dentist. I am happy to report I have found a "home" at Mount Royal for my dental care. I have been treated with compassion, dignity, and kindness every single visit. Comfort is always a high priority too. I'm almost 50 and finally got my teeth straightened through Invisalign treatment at Mount Royal. Laura has been the absolute best to work with throughout the entire progress! From the first fitting all the way through the final tray, she always talked to me like a friend, rather than just a patient. I've met all 3 of the dentists at Mount Royal between my and my daughter's care. They all share the same kind demeanor and gentle touch. The same can be said for the hygienists as well. I highly recommend a visit to Mount Royal Dental if you are looking for a new home to receive your dental care.

Fantastic experience: If you have been delaying making a dentist appointment: this is your sign to call and make that appointment. I cannot believe how pain free getting dental work here is! Everyone is kind, accepting, and super gentle. I’m not dreading my next cleaning for the first time in my life! Don’t wait another day/week/month to get this checked off your list - they are great, just call and get it taken care of! Pricing was more than fair, getting an appointment same week was easy, and the people were exceptional.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Dr. Bechard was so lovely because of my anxiety with dentists. I was in for a chipped front tooth that I kept prolonging. When I go there I feel like I am going to a spa because of how I am treated. My hygienist Jess does an amazing job every time. When she is doing the cleaning it feels like a massage for my teeth. Negative experience: My X takes our daughter to Mt. Royal and she is less than impressed. From the conversations we share, the place seems like a complete cluster that operates in a state of constant miscommunication. My daughter has asked me multiple times to find a new dentist. She does not want them to work on her. She did Invisalign there, and that experience was practically traumatic for her and her teeth still aren't right/straight...not to mention a complete waste of money. Too many mistakes to recommend. They have a lot of improvements to make in their business model. Sad.

Fantastic experience: Dr Zelen and the entire staff were so supportive and compassionate towards my almost 2 year old, Odin. Well explained and handled my son’s needs efficiently and quickly. I also appreciate her willingness to encourage the less invasive routine and what is best for your child’s mental health as well.

Positive experience: The open office concept for dentist chairs doesn't work as well as it might on paper. Babies crying, hard to hear your tech or dentist's words. So I subtracted one star. Otherwise the staff was above and beyond accommodating and friendly and they took their time making sure we were all on the same page. Dr. Zellyn was able to recommend treatment for a jaw problem after I'd spent the last two years seeing professionals who failed to mention it.

Hali was at reception and was very welcoming and personable! Holly my hygienist was amazing! She walked me through every step, xrays, cleaning, video imaging of my teeth, whitening options ect! She was professional and very kind! Dr. Zelen was also great, although our meeting was brief, She was precise and was reassuring that my wisdom tooth could be extracted in clinic! Negative experience: Had my daughters lip and tongue ties revised with Dr. Zelen. She was very professional and did an amazing job. 10/10 experience. Being reimbursed for the money I had already paid was very challenging and ran into many road blocks. It took many months (around 7) with tons of phone calls to get it all figured out. The lady that deals with insurance was NOT helpful and never gave me the right information. I finally had my husband call to get it all sorted out after me trying over and over again to try and not getting anywhere. She finally gave the insurance the right information we needed to get some of our money back! Every time I called she was either out of her office or on lunch break (no matter what time a day I called). Maybe there’s another option instead of paying right upfront and being reimbursed so dodge this problem but I don’t think I’ll be back after it took so long to deal with.

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit with Mount Royal Dental and was impressed with how smooth everything went. From the confirmations to the actual cleaning! Holly, my dental hygienist was excellent. She was thorough and explained everything she was doing as well as next steps in my dental care. Dr. Johnson was also just as informative during my visit and provided additional options in my dental care. The whole process was simple, thorough and informative!

Fantastic experience: The team here was incredible. They got me in last minute for a cleaning and broken front tooth. They worked with me on scheduling, our plan to fix my tooth and were very transparent with costs and took time to explain it all to me. Dr. Zelen was so kind and personable when I was so stressed out. Holly did a great job cleaning and the whole team made sure I will have a perfect smile for my upcoming wedding.

Fantastic experience: I don’t even know where to begin describing how pleasant our experience has been with Mt. Royal dental. My eight year old and I are new patients with much overdue dental work that needed to be done. The front desk staff was able to get us in even faster than expected by notifying me right when they had a cancellation. The entire staff made sure we had the best experience, especially for my son. He ended up having to have some more insensitive work and was made so comfortable. They guided him and I through the process so carefully and thoughtfully. I found myself in tears of relief and happiness multiple times during our visits. In particular, Jessica our hygienist went above and beyond to put us both at ease. My son even said “I hope I have her every time!” ❤️ This mom could not be more happy. The most sincere Thank You to each and every one of the staff at Mt. Royal Dental.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Zelen and Nikki her assistant provided an excellent experience. After being hesitant with needing new veneers on my front teeth- I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Very professional, thorough and informative. Jess my hygienist also does such a good job and is very personable. Great staff and beautiful office!

Fantastic experience: As someone that fears going to the dentist, I feel very comfortable going to my appointments at Mount Royal Dentistry. The staff make me feel welcome and comfortable. My hygienist Jess is wonderful and gentle on my teeth and gums. Both the new office and the original office are clean, sanitary, and provide patients with a calm space during their appointments. I highly recommend this dental office!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Mount Royal for years. The first time I went it had been 3 years since my last exam and I was very nervous. My dental hygeniest, Janelle was so kind and gentle during the exam and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I’ve requested and have had her for every exam since! I’ve seen both Dr Zelen and Dr Johnson for various things such as a cavity fill, and Invisalign treatment. Both are excellent! I also really appreciated Dr Zelen getting my son in the same day to fill his front tooth when he accidentally chipped it while at school. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate the care both I and my family have received at Mount Royal Dental!
