Fantastic experience: Every time I leave Kanning Dental, I feel like I've received the absolute best services and care available. Someone new to me did the cleaning portion of my appointment, and during my treatment I actually said to myself, "I wonder what their process is for hiring such outstanding staff time and time again?" Also, Dr. Tippin has been my dentist for several years, but I am still amazed at how good he is at his job. Driving away today, I asked myself "what would I want improved to make him an even better dentist?" It's hours later and I still can't think of a single thing. Dr. Tippin is highly professional, kind and extremely confident. He's also skilled and knowledgeable. He explains everything thoroughly and welcomes questions. My appointment was at 9 today. By 9:51, my crown was fixed, I'd finished my errands and was back home. That's pretty standard for an appointment at Kanning Dental.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is friendly and efficient!

Negative experience: Beware! This office is profit over patient. Dr. Tippin will recommend numerous unnecessary and costly dental procedures. Both my child and spouse experienced this. We consulted with other dentists and found that neither needed any procedures or treatment whatsoever. Dr. Tippin's bedside manner is hurried and elusive. He's in and out of the room as fast as possible. He drops the bomb news at the doorway and then defers to the dental hygienist to discuss the diagnosis and treatment plan while he backs out of the doorway as quickly as possible. When I confronted Dr. Tippin about this at my child's appointment, he told me that he trusted the dental hygienist to discuss the diagnosis and treatment plan. When I challenged him on that point because this conversation falls only within the scope of practice of the doctor, he stepped partially back in the room and then continued to double talk in circles. The one procedure that Tippin did perform on my husband also turned out to be unnecessary and my husband has been experiencing pain with this tooth ever since. The new treating dentist attempted to contact the owner, Dr. Kanning directly to discuss these matters and received no call back.

Negative experience: I scheduled an online emergency appointment on Labor Day. Payed the emergency fee drove 45 minutes to the office and no one was there. Do not use there online appointment method. What a horrible waste of time.
