Fantastic experience: Outstanding teeth cleaning today and each time I visit Prairie Garden Dental. Clean, shared suggestions for improvement of some areas. My dentist did a super, job at improving a broken front tooth! I entered with a very noticeable missing part of a tooth in the front of my mouth. Dr. Reena Modjeski did an amazing correction to that injured front tooth! My smile is now total whole (nothing but good teeth - color matches perfectly.-AND I’m in my 80s = lots of usage of my teeth. Fantastic experience: I had the best care and experience here. Everyone is super nice and proffesional. Dr. Martin is the best, he listens and made me feel at ease with my dental work going forward. Highly recommend this place. Now am seeing Dr. Modjeski she is great, had more extraction and my immediate dentures. Have had some irritation and she has been able to get me every time to adjust them. So far so good. Had 3 trips for sores from denture, she fixed each time, and kept encouraging me. Had a soft reline done and wow, feeling great, abke to wear dentures all day. Eating is improving every day. Have recommend thus place several times. Thanks to all there . October, started hurting lower denture called got me in fixed the problem, was told don't hesitate to call for any fix. Super nice place. Have been telling friends to see them. As my eating improves have been needing little adjustments, they are super nice and get me in ASAP. Had to go back for an adjustment, all so nice and answered all my questions. Thanks again.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible dentist. I waited much to long to be seen but Dr. Modjeski and her team have been so gracious, patient, and kind through this whole process. Dr. Modjeski has been very open about treatments and taking the least invasive to start. Crystal in the front has been so helpful with navigating insurance changes, quotes, and payments. Could not scream the whole team’s praises loud enough. If you fear the dentist they are the best to go through truly so kind and caring.

Fantastic experience: Upon entering this facility I was comfortable. The front desk, the atmosphere, it was Very Well thought out to accommodate patients. I've NEVER had a "good" or better Dentist appointment for my entire life. I was very sceptical about going due to prior misappropriation of patient care and advocacy however I had a pressing issue that needed immediate attention. I AM SO GLAD that I found this TEAM !!! They WORK TOGETHER, not individually which I found to be very Admirable of them.... I'm Very Happy to be a patient of this TEAM and I KNOW you will be as well !!!

Fantastic experience: Great dentist and hygienest. First time I ever walked out of the dentist feeling great about it. Dr Mojo took her time and explained everything and so did the hygienist. I unfortunately forgot her name but she was great too. Highly recommend!!

Negative experience: I went in for what I believed would be a simple polishing and cleaning, but the appointment turned into a full deep cleaning that was extremely painful. The hygienist, Katie, I had was very unprofessional and rough throughout the entire procedure. She worked aggressively on my gums to the point where I was wincing in pain and could feel blood in my mouth, yet she continued working on the same areas without checking if I was okay or offering a break. Instead of showing concern, she spoke to me in a very condescending way about flossing, telling me that the pain wouldn’t be so bad if I flossed and that it wasn’t her problem that it hurt. The way she addressed me felt very rude and unprofessional. During the polishing portion of the appointment, I began gagging due to my gag reflex. Rather than helping me spit or giving me a moment, she acted irritated and inconvenienced, rolled her eyes, and handed me water instead of allowing me to rinse. She then just sat there staring at me until I told her she could finish. The entire experience was uncomfortable and unpleasant. At no point did she ask if I was okay or show any concern for my pain or discomfort. A dental visit should make patients feel cared for and respected, and unfortunately that was not my experience here. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution others before choosing this office. No patient should have to endure this level of discomfort or be treated this way during what should be routine dental care.

Negative experience: UPDATE: My review was from 6 years ago. Today 7/16/25, Someone just replied 3 hours ago saying this is “not” his office. However; this was his office and the review stays just in case he returns or just in case patients come across his name somewhere…. Dr. Vlk was a good Dentist until all of his staff left and went someplace else. He has new staff and they are all confused all the time and make a lot of mistakes. Dr. Vlk is calmed, but he seems to be overwhelmed and frustrated. He kept messing up on a Crown that he had to return and re-order in 3 occasions until the Lab itself told him no more sending him a new crown for the same patient when is him who keeps messing them up. I had to change dentist b/c it because super absurd. He got upset when we approached him about this repeated situation and simply didn’t care. He knew he messed up so many times and couldn’t fix the problem. We are so disappointed. Usually people with a one time good experience will post here. I believe that people should post everything good or bad to help others out.

Negative experience: Frustrating office to deal with. They were constantly trying to change my appointment times after my appointment was scheduled. If you get work done here be prepared for them contact you last minute trying to move you up earlier and earlier. Also the lack of communication with my insurance is enough for me to confidently say this was the worst experience at a dental office I have ever had. I should be able to charge them a fee for wasting my time.

Fantastic experience: Where is Dr. Martin??? The main reason I started going to Prairie Garden Dental was because I was tired of seeing a new dentist every 6 month. When I first visited Dr. Martin, it was my first question to him, "Are you here to stay?" his reply was "no worries, I have no intentions of leaving". Well, we fell in love with him and were thrilled! BUT!!! He HAS left, but not by his choice. Well, myself, and my family will be watching for your return and hoping it is not too far from Yorkville, as we are willing to travel for a dentist that we really fell in love with. Sorry Prairie Garden Dental, you made a very BAD decision, as I am sure we are not the only ones that feel this way.

Fantastic experience: Katie does a great job with my teeth. I always feel conformable while she's working on them. She is also informative about the work she is doing and if there's any concerns that needs to be addressed and what my options are. I truly trust the work they do there.

Thank you Dr. Martin for your amazing service. You have given me back my smile and so much more. Thank you just doesn't seem to be enough. I wish you future success and happiness. "People come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime..." so very true!!! My first visit was in 2023. Dr. Martin's last day was June 12, 2025. I first contacted the office because of all the positive reviews posted for Dr. Martin. (My original review is listed below.) ******** It took me forever to build up the courage just to contact a dentist. Extreme anxiety and fear kept me out of a dental office for years. I reached out to Prairie Garden Dental and was encouraged by Crystal to come in for a consultation. Upon arrival her welcoming smile and greeting put me at ease. Once I met Dr. Martin I knew I was in the right place. He didn't berate me for my condition. In fact, he congratulated me for walking through the door. Dr. Martin, Crystal, Erin, Jaimee and Katie are truly an amazing team. They really care about their patients. Start to finish it has been an incredible transformation. Fantastic experience: Dr. Martin takes pride in his work, I cracked my tooth and he took me in the same day. To me why I believe he takes pride in his work is because he wanted to make sure he extracted my tooth properly and wasn’t a quick job. He wanted to make sure the healing process was proper. He could’ve just pulled it and been done with it but he wanted to make sure the gums healed properly to me. That’s taking pride in the work you do Dr. Martin is not only kind but extremely knowledgeable in the work he does. His staff is also very knowledgeable and super kind, and they didn’t judge the condition of my teeth that’s the most important thing to me. They didn’t preach at me about how often I should come in and have my teeth cleaned and try to sell me something. They just did the job. That’s awesome. So because of that I signed up for their program, and they didn’t push signing up on me, and because of that they’re going to be my dentist, I am committed. Fantastic experience: Quick easy fix to my problem. Had a crown come loose and it was just a matter of minutes, to fix it. They got me in the same day I called. Note: Dental care is sure getting expensive! 10 min. job was $410.00. Out of pocket, $328.00. Just being real.

Crystal at the front desk and Jamie and Dr Martin ..and I am so sorry but I don't remember the other assistants name today..but they are ALL great!....Katie is great! She did a deep clean on me and although I do not recommend one, she made the experience entertaining. We had some good laughs. What I do HIGHLY recommend, is get your teeth cleaned every 6 months so you may NEVER have to get a deep clean.

Fantastic experience: They were able to get me in right away for the discomfort I was feeling with my temporary partial I have. They explained to me what was happening and how to resolve it. It was a very good visit. Very professional. Today I had a cleaning done. Besides the cleaning they did exrays and a visit from the doctor. Everything went well.

Even as they were close to closing the staff stuck around to get the care we needed. Dr. Martin and Jaimee explained every step of the process and put our little one at ease. Can't recommend them enough!

Positive experience: Called and asked if they had some options to fix the shape of my teeth. I told them on the phone I wasn’t interested in the veneers because I couldn’t afford thousands of dollars in work. The receptionist asked me if the only reason why I wouldn’t get veneers was due to cost and I said yes. They scheduled me to come in. Waited 15 minutes in the lobby while the dentist sat in his office (I could see him) then sat and waited another 15 mins in the chair. He examined my teeth and explained very thoroughly about the different options and I once again said I wasn’t interested in veneers because I already knew the cost. Comes back after almost 30 mins and gives me 3 quotes, 2 for veneers over $6,000 and one for composite filling which was $4,900. Wasted an hour and a half of my morning after I said multiple times I couldn’t afford thousands of dollars in work. Then they expected me to pay $50 consultation fee. Wish she would have said on the phone that they didn’t have any options for me so I didn’t waste half my morning. Office seemed nice but sitting around waiting for so long while you hear the entire staff standing around laughing was annoying.

Fantastic experience: I'm not sure of spelling, Krystal receptionist at Praire Garden Dental. Gives a wonderful first impression of the office. Friendly, knowledgeable &accommodating. Not just with scheduling but with pricing &payments as well, we do not have dental coverage. This office offers a dental club so I'm able to get my dental work done. It varies based on your needs. Today, Katie the hygienist was cleaning my very sensitive teeth, slowly &with care before I realized. I'm very grateful. also met Dr.Andersen who will be handling my care &he outlined a plan that will work best for me &keep my own teeth with some brige work etc. They both explained the more often I see them,the better my plan will work. I am a somewhat new patient to their office &have had scheduling issues on my part. They never once were anything but understanding. I feel I have found my office for dental care. I feel confident that they are expert in their care. They are so welcoming &friendly, caring &patient. I give them 5 stars. UPDATE 10/24 I was recently in to see Katie the hygentist. I've never laughed so hard getting my teeth cleaned. She is so knowledgeable & puts me at ease. Then Dr. Martin to check x-rays & go over what work I need to keep my mouth healthy. Honestly I learn something new every time I'm there & I am no spring chicken. Dr. Martin has taken care of my dental health since my initial visit I'm so pleased he is at this office. He is very intelligent explaines so he's easy to understand. Patient & gets it if your nervous at dentist. I can't say enough nice things about this team. Dr. Martin, Krystal front desk, Katie hygienist & Erin & Jamie doc's assistants. They are respectful & friendly to each other & their patients. It's like a visit with friends. Make an appointment you will be glad you did.

Fantastic experience: I could not be more pleased with the service I received from Prairie Garden Dental. I called around 2:15pm for a dental emergency and was in the chair by 2:40pm same day! Everyone was so friendly and compassionate. The receptionist was very welcoming and efficient. The techs were intentional and kind. The doctor was gentle and supportive throughout the procedure. Overall, I highly recommend this office and you will be well taken care of no matter what is going on with your teeth.

Fantastic experience: First time ever being there.I came in for an emergency. My front teeth got chipped pretty bad. First the front desk lady was so warm and welcoming. Second the assant was also warm and welcoming. And had a sense of humor of my situation. Last but not least the dentist was amazing. He's very persist on how he wanted to go about fixing my smile. Did a excellent job(i was nervous this couldn't be fix that day). He was rea assuring that he could make it look great before I left. Ill be back to get the finishing product but for now I can still smile and laugh without covering my face from embarrassment. Fantastic experience: I had a filling done today and Dr. Martin did a fantastic job. I did not have any pain while he did the filling.

Fantastic experience: Awesome doctor and awesome staff! Extremely professional and polite. Appointments are very easy to make and they always have appointments that fit my schedule. Billing and insurance is very straightforward and explained ahead of time. Doctor takes time to explain the treatment plan and answer all questions. Hands down best dental office in Yorkville!

Negative experience: Dentist said I grind my teeth slightly at night an advised a I get a mouth guard. I said I would look into it and he said they have a company that they work with and it is professionally done. They told me the out of pocket cost for this is $127.00 which I thought was high, but to save my teeth I said let’s do it. I paid my $127.00 and they ordered the guard. I got the guard and it works well. 3 months later I get a bill for an additional $308.00. I called and questioned it and they said we were wrong and your insurance will not cover all of it. So now my $127.00 mouth guard is now $435.00. Yes, $435.00 for a mouth guard. We are switching dentists. Be very careful with this dentist and what they tell you. Please learn from my mistake.
