Negative experience: There are anything but professional. They can’t be trusted. I caught them in outright lies several times in order to extract more money from me from unnecessary procedures VERIFIED TO BE UNNECESSARY BY OTHER DENTISTS.

Negative experience: I wish I could give ZERO stars especially for Dr. Thompson, who is the worst dentist I've encountered. He decided to grind my teeth without permission or any logical reason whatsoeverto fix a be that didn't need fixing.... Then my filling fell out and he says he can't fix it because "iits hard". Since Dr. Hatchett left they don't have a dentist worth going to.

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience. I scheduled a routine dental cleaning, but when I arrived they told me I had to purchase $225 in X-rays first. They initially claimed this was the “law.” After I questioned that and verified that no such law exists, they quickly changed the explanation and said it was their “policy.” I explained that I had recently lost my job and could not afford unnecessary services, especially since my appointment was only for a cleaning. At no point when I scheduled the appointment did anyone mention mandatory X-rays. They also incorrectly stated that I had not had X-rays since 2021. When I asked them to double-check, they confirmed I actually had X-rays taken just one year ago. Even after confirming this, they still refused to perform the cleaning unless I paid for new X-rays. As a result, I left without receiving the care I scheduled. Refusing a routine cleaning under these circumstances does not feel like patient care — it feels like an attempt to force additional services for extra revenue.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Wyatt Checketts is a great dentist very detailed with what I need done. I was so insecure about my teeth and he made me feel comfortable. Elizabeth the dental assistant is so sweet and so are the receptionist. Definitely recommend to anyone that is scared of dentist.

Fantastic experience: Lauren, the Hygienist, was thorough, efficient and pleasant. Afterwards, she explained where we were in our dental goals and future steps we would be taking to progress. She sent me home with several items to aid in my gum care with clear instructions. Very pleased with the overall experience.

Fantastic experience: The people who have taken over for Dr Hatchett which is now Cherokee Dental, are great! I do miss Dr Hatchett since I have been his patient since the late 1980’s when they were in the little house behind Nan Travis Hospital. Dr Hatchett and staff were great then and everyone has just carried on in that manner ever since. Thank you everyone.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional. They will change appointment times and NOT even contact you to ask about it or let you know. Rude. Terrible billing. We have had SO many issues with this office. I've finally had enough and our family will be switching to a different dentist. I would recommend that you stay far away from this one.

My insurance changed, which put him out of network. I will just have to pay the extra cost because I’m not going anywhere else. I normally do not like going to the dentist. However, Dr. Thompson knows what he is doing and his demeanor is so kind and caring, it puts me at ease every time I am in his chair Sincerely Bakaya Poole

Negative experience: It took several months to get a cleaning because my appointment was rescheduled 4x within a week. When given a treatment plan and estimate for some cavities, the cost was $1k for 6 cavities with insurance. Made a trip back to talk to someone about redoing the estimate and the receptionist met me immediately with a defensive demeanor. She finally looked at the estimate and said the cost listed was wrong. Still waiting for a new estimate. Any recommendations of other dentists while I'm waiting.

Fantastic experience: The staff are professional and friendly. They don't suggest a bunch of unnecessary dental procedures in order to make more money. They take care of what is needed and get you in and out quickly. I like this dental practice better than the dental practice I used to use. I never knew which dentist I was going to see. And they pushed many unnecessary procedures on their patients. They were all about getting in as many dental procedures as possible instead of good patient care. Cherokee Dental is not like that. Cherokee Dental cares about their patients and it shows!

Fantastic experience: Still a great dentist after going there for many years as well as taking all my children there.

Negative experience: I went in with a bad toothache and in tears. The dr made it worse by trying to find which one the pain was coming from. After he found it the pain was unbearable and he refused to do anything for pain. All I wanted at that point was at least 1 minute of no pain but he sent me home with antibiotics and no help for the pain. I do believe that was my last time going there. That was wrong of him to make me hurt more and give no relief.

Positive experience: My interactions with both Anjel and Wyatt were exceptional. Both very professional and friendly. I do have a convern and am investigating the charges. Maybe it is my misunderstanding of medical billings but I thought you could go to any "in house" doctor and receive the same procedure at the same fee, set by the insurance company. Obviously not the case because on the exact same three procedures, CDP is charging me $318 more than a prior dental practice would have except for the emergency that had me going to CDP.

Fantastic experience: Great dentistry! They were able to see my 2 kids in a day without an appointment. Dental assistant was so patient with my toddler, she showed him all the instruments she was going to use on him.

She has NEVER had an issue with him. Their staff has always been kind and polite. They also will work with you wonderfully if you have a dental emergency, or need to reschedule last minute doing all they can to accommodate you and your family.

Positive experience: Love my dentist and Dental hygienist. However I am disappointed that I was told that I cannot get my teeth cleaned again unless I pay for an exam and X-rays and that it was required by the state of Texas Dental Board. Even though I explained my decision to persue the purchase of dentures in the future and dont understand the need for future preventative actions like paying for xrays.

Gorgeous office, extremely efficient, professional, knowledgeable and personable staff! Our dental hygienist was excellent! She was great with my 8 year old. She used models of teeth and such to educate him about the importance of taking care of your teeth and what happens if you don't, she was very professional, knowledgeable and has an amazing personality! We were extremely impressed!!!
