Fantastic experience: This year is my 30th year of using Nelson & Bury Dentistry. I started with Dr. James Nelson and now his daughter is my provider for any and all dental work I may need, along with their very talented staff.

Fantastic experience: We are new to town and Nelson/Bury Dentistry was recommended to us. Our experience from beginning to end as new patients could not of been better. My wife and I could not say enough about the treatment we received it felt like we have been coming to this office for years! If you are new to town or need a new dentist we highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: They have always been great to me. I actually enjoy coming to thr dentist and their service is the reason why. They answer all my questions and always make sure I am satisfied with my care. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist in a few years due to anxiety, but finally decided that I needed to start going regularly again. From the very first call to ask questions, the staff at Nelson and Bury made me feel particularly at ease, with their kind patient care staff ensuring that they had an answer for every one of my questions. When I arrived, the facility was clean, modern, and without the dreaded “dentist office” smell. I want to give a shoutout especially to my hygienist, Maria, and Dr. Mandy. Maria made me so comfortable from the moment I walked back, and is such a great conversationalist—to the point I ended up taking out the earbuds I originally brought to listen to music so that we could keep chatting! She explained everything she was doing in detail, which helped me immensely in feeling like I was the one in control. When Dr. Mandy came in, this trend of warm and friendly providers continued. Both women repeatedly said how proud they were of me for facing a fear and choosing to take care of my health, and how my teeth looked great thanks to my good oral hygiene at home. They also answered questions I had about potential treatment regarding wisdom teeth, sharing their own stories to let me know I was not alone in my anxieties. (Best part of the visit—no cavities!) I walked out of that room so much more confident and at ease than when I walked in. My six month check up is already booked, and I already know that I won’t be nearly as nervous as I was this morning!

Fantastic experience: I dont even know what to say... I called about 7 different places to see if i can get in for an emergency i was turned away until my last call and it was to them. They got me in within 3 hours of calling them and removed my painful tooth. From the phone call to walking in the building it was nothing but comfort and respect I did not feel like I was being judged like I have in the past. I definitely will be coming back to start a dental plan and would highly recommend them to everyone. Great office and amazing staff.

They've taken time to ensure I'm not experiencing undue pain or discomfort. I've been treated by them since moving to the area nearly 3 years ago and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an outstanding dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I was able to get in within an hour on a Friday (where oddly enough most dental places are closed on Fridays in Rapid City). They were up front with pricing, and when it ended up being a simpler procedure, they lowered the discussed cost! Nelson & Bury will be the only dentist I go to now, and ill recommend them to everyone

They were very willing to change my appointment to accommodate my schedule. Dental appointment began when it was scheduled. Very efficient service - cleaning and dental check up. Positive experience: The service I receive at Nelson & Bury has been fantastic for many years. Only recently has a it suffered a bit, hence the 4 stars. On my last 3 visits, reception has asked me if I have any dental insurance- not if my insurance needs updated, but if I have insurance at all. Kind of a bizarre question to ask someone who's had insurance on file with your office for about two decades. The question itself isnt a huge deal, but makes me speculate that my info being erased / lost after every visit. That aside, I have no complains. My hygienist is a sweetheart!

I've been a patient of Dr. Bury for about a year, and could not be more pleased with his knowledge, professionalism, care, and concern. Dr. Bury performs excellent dental work with a minimum of patient discomfort and a very pleasant personality. All staff members I've interacted with have amazing customer service skills and beautiful smiles, they work together seamlessly, the office is refreshingly inviting, and we always feel welcome and appreciated. We travel about 75 miles (one way) from a tiny town in Wyoming, grateful to have found Dr. Bury and his team. I've experienced many dental offices in 70 years (in many states), and Nelson and Bury stands head and shoulders above them all. Sincere thanks!

Negative experience: Couldn’t do a crown because they can’t do impressions. Wanted me to go to another dentist to do it and then come back. Before that pan X-rays performed before ever seeing the dentist knowing it wasn’t covered! I even informed before them before taking them bc only pays every so many years

Fantastic experience: I've always had great fear of going to the dentist and avoided it for years. Now that I have found Bury and Nelson, I'm so much more comfortable going (every the months!). It seemed that i was shuffled from hygienist to hygienist for a bit, but now I have Kristin. She makes me feel very, very comfortable and I love the perfectionist in her! She does an amazing job!

Fantastic experience: I had to get on here to leave a good review for Dr. Bury. One thing that really stood out about him is that he makes his own decisions on your dental work without being bias to what another dentist might recommend. I totally trust him and know he would do his best for me. I have been going to this practice for 15 years. They are one of the best in Rapid City.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first appointment at Nelson Bury and my first in over 2 years (bad, bad experience at another dentist). My dental hygienist was Kirsten. She was very kind and professional and she is without a doubt, the best hygienist I’ve ever had clean my teeth. I’ve had some experiences where the hygienist was actually a bit rough and blabbed the entire time. Kirsten and I talked a little while she very thoughtfully and gently did her excellent work. She answered questions I had afterwards and gave me sound advice. She is the best!

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit here and I would recommend this office to anyone front desk is extremely friendly and got me in just minutes after signing in as a new patient, I got an infected tooth over the weekend went to acute care for antibiotics seen online they was taking new patients stopped by and I was seen in minutes extremely friendly and they did everything they could to make me feel comfortable the extraction was completely painless, check out was just as friendly.. I will be making them my permanent dentist office and I have never had one of those before.. I will be recommending them to my girlfriend and anyone who is in need of a AWESOME dentist office, I can't stress enough how friendly everyone was from check in to check out... Thank you very much

Negative experience: As a Lakota family from Pine Ridge, we do not recommend this dentistry to any BIPOC+ families in the area or surrounding communities. The customer service reflects a pervasive sense of whiteness, lacking cultural awareness and sensitivity, which made our experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming.
