She is knowledgeable, gentle and genuinely concerned about my welfare. My dentist, Dr Anisso, has been taking care of me for many years. He has helped me solve several tough dental problems. His sense of patient caring coupled with his skill level gives me the confidence to believe that I am in good hands.

Fantastic experience: I can't ask for a better arrangement for a dentistry shop; quality care just around the corner from where I live. Total professionals. As a kid I dreaded going to the dentist. Half a century later my current dentist makes the experience much much less painful, almost pleasant. I suppose some of the credit goes to modernity: smaller gauge hypodermic needles, better numbing agents. But my dentist also knows what he is doing and explains my options. Same goes for my hygienist. Both care about me and take good care of me.

Fantastic experience: I love Dr. Rogagio and his team! I have very significant dental anxiety and they always take good care of ME , not just my teeth. I needed a lot of work done recently (crowns and fillings) and Dr. Rogagio walked me through the sedation process. It worked so well!!! It was easy to do and the three hours of work that he and Violet (LOVE her) did were painless and I was just relaxed and sleepy the whole time. I will not hesitate to have more work done when I need it, and Dr. Rogagio and Violet will take great care of me again!

My college-aged daughter has severe panic disorder and a deep fear of the dentist, and she recently needed all four wisdom teeth removed. As expected, this was incredibly stressful for her. From our first call to the office, the staff was understanding, patient, and compassionate. They treated her with respect and kindness, never dismissing her fears. They were also very knowledgeable about how to appropriately pre-medicate her for both the exam and the procedure, which made a huge difference in her ability to get through it. The follow-up care has been just as thoughtful and attentive, consistently keeping her anxiety in mind. As a parent, I felt such relief knowing she was in the hands of professionals who truly understand how to support patients with anxiety disorders. I’m incredibly grateful for the care they provided to my daughter and highly recommend them to anyone, especially anyone who feels anxious about dental exams and procedures!

Negative experience: Wasted 3 hours of my day due no pricing transparency and misleading billing practices. - Websites say they take most PPO dental plans and lists Sun Life specifically - I call Espire and ask them if they take my insurance. They state they will take it but they are out of network and I need to call Sun Life to confirm how much will be covered - I call Sun Life and confirm that I'm covered 100% for preventative services even Out-of-Network. - I call Espire back and inform them of this - I show up for my appointment and am told that insurance is only going to pay 70% and that I still owe $200 for the visit! - I call back my insurance and get them to confirm again that it should be 100%. Then Espire finally admits that what Sun Life is willing to pay for the services is less than what they charge, so they have to charge me the difference. Hours and hours of back and forth and nothing to show for it in the end. Espire should have been upfront about all of this and saved us all the wasted time

Fantastic experience: For years I was a patient of Dr. Montague at La Costa Dental and could not have been happier with my experience. Eight years ago I retired to the shores of Lake Coeur d' Alene in the state of Idaho. Recently, on a return visit to North County, I accidentally broke a temporary crown installed by my dentist in Coeur d' Alene. I needed help in a hurry and contacted my old friend, the now-retired Dr. Montague, and he suggested that I get in touch with Dr. Anisso who had assumed his old practice. What great advice that was! Dr. Anisso gladly squeezed me in for a replacement crown and all is well once again. He is a terrific dentist and a very nice guy. It was wonderful to see that La Costa Dental is in excellent hands and that, in addition to Dr. Anisso, the staff remains top-notch. You won't find a better dental practice ANYWHERE. A big thank you to Espire dental!

Fantastic experience: After moving, I had an awful experience at the first dentist I tried. Undoubtedly my teeth and gums had taken a drastic turn for the worse in the last six months and I’d need to pay hundreds of dollars every three months to prevent my teeth from all falling out. Oh, and they had some recommendations for cosmetic work as well. I consulted with a good friend who is also a dental hygienist. She confirmed that she could see no sign of the gum disease they claimed, but even if I did have it, the procedure they recommended isn’t scientifically founded. I knew I needed to find a new dentist, but I procrastinated. I was excited to find an office that allowed online scheduling so I could find the times that fit into my somewhat erratic work schedule. When I arrived, they took me back immediately, didn’t make me feel bad about the long time since my last appointment, and did a thorough job x-raying and cleaning my teeth. The dentist showed up immediately after my cleaning finished. As I had expected, my teeth and gums are in good shape. They didn’t volunteer any expensive cosmetic options either - just the ask to see me again in six months for the standard cleaning and checkup. I’m excited I’ve found a convenient and honest dentist near my home.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at La Costa Dental (Espire) for several years. The staff is friendly and everything ran on time, which I appreciated. I want to especially mention my hygienist, Heather—she is always gentle, explains things clearly, and makes the whole cleaning process comfortable. (She even goes out of her way to find me the cotton candy flavor of polish if they have it. My kids aren’t the only ones who get fun flavors at the dentist!) I had a black spot on my tongue that I was so afraid was cancer. Milad used a tool to check for cancer and discovered that the spot was only on the surface and plucked it off! I was so relieved and so grateful to Milad. She’s a wonder! You really can’t go wrong with Milad as your hygienist at Espire!

Fantastic experience: I was experiencing great pain in my right side jaw/molar. I was leaving out of country in a few days. Espire… Dr. Ragadio fit me in the day I called. They took xrays of my bottom back teeth. Nothing apparent. Doctor Dr. Ragadio did a close-up exam. The only thing he found was my teeth weren’t meshing causing pressure on my molar. Doctor performed an adjustment. The pain was gone when I clenched. That night I had horrible pain… but now in my upper molars. Severe pain if I even bately touched my #3 molar. The next morning I called and they fit me in again. That never happens. The Doctor found the tooth cracked on opposite sides. There were a few options all the way to extraction. Doctor Ragadio decided the least invasive should be attempted first. He prepared the tooth for a bonding and filling… while removing an old amalgum filling. He spent a lot of time preparing the tooth and performing the repair. After the local anesthesia wore off I had no pain. I was very satisfied with Espire, Dr. Ragadio and all of the staff who attended me… Lea, Violet, Hanna and Ryan. We had recently moved to Carlsbad from Tehachapi, 5 hours away, and need to find a new Dentist. It appears we found our new Dental practice… Espire.

Fantastic experience: I was suffering from a broken tooth that had abscessed and was in absolute agony. I could not sleep, eat or function…the pain was that bad. They took me in on an emergency appointment and proceeded to take all the X-rays to determine what I was faced with. Knowing that I had to get operated on immediately to relieve the pain, the located an incredible referral surgeon who saw me within an hour of my dentist visit. In minutes I was being treated, given an anesthetic that number to sever pain immediately and he went to work for a couple of hours and took care of my issue. I am very thankful to have been in trusted and professional hands at the dentist and their surgeon referral and I can’t praise them enough for their professionalism and compassion!

I have had a lot of work done in my mouth, crowns, root canals, etc. Dr. Anisso came to the rescue and expertly diagnosed and fixed my molars and adjusted my bite where it needed to be. He is so patient, kind and really understands the stress of new teeth placement and jaw adjustment. He won’t stop until it’s just right and tailors everything to the patients needs.
