Fantastic experience: Very good experience. I have dental anxiety and avoid going to the dentist, but all the staff were easy going. I didn’t feel judged at all and neither did my husband who had avoided the dentist even longer than I did. The dentist was young and easy going. He was also very gentle and attentive to body language. Dental assistants were top notch as well and sweet. I didn’t feel pressured about getting extra treatments. Parking was easy, but getting into the office can be a little confusing. Pricing was good and seemed fair when I compared to other dental offices in the Valley. We’ll be back!

Definitely coming back next time! Quick note, they offer a free whitening to new patients for a review, I was going to write this anyway because the were incredible but I did get something for writing this.

The care is awesome , super friendly and the entire staff very professional. They are constantly attentive to how I was doing, which gave me a lot of peace. Dr. Zhu is highly professional and caring the whole time—I highly recommend him! The assistants are always kind and very skilled. They made me a painless L-PRF without any issues, I fully recommend Dr. Zhu and the clinic, I’ll definitely return.( If needed)

Fantastic experience: It’s been a really long time since the last time I saw a dentist. And even longer since the last time I actually had a cleaning. Basically I was told by the last dentist I couldn’t get a regular cleaning. So years went on. I got a mailer from Better Way Dental and it said “IV sedation” so I called. The woman who answered was so sweet and told me she was proud of me for calling and scheduling an appointment. When I got to the office, the hygienist told me she was proud of me too. I swear I’m not a baby but it’s been a while since another adult (except my husband but he doesn’t count lol) told me they were proud of me. It meant a lot. I have a great deal of anxiety about the dentist and my teeth are a major point of shame. But I have not felt shamed at all by any of the staff. Rambling aside, if you have any anxiety about the dentist, if it’s been literal years since you’ve been seen by a dentist, if you are ashamed of your teeth, or you just want someone to tell you they’re proud of you this is the dental office you want to go to.

Negative experience: I have been a patient at Better Way Dental & Implants in Snoqualmie for about two years, but after my latest experience I will be changing dentists. I am usually very organized and always on time, but recently I had a one-off situation and arrived 20 minutes late to my 5:00 pm appointment (last patient of the day). I called at 5:20 pm to say I was one minute away, but they told me the staff had already left because of their 15-minute policy and they would not see me. I admitted it was my fault, apologized, and asked if they could show some flexibility, especially knowing my track record as a reliable patient. Instead, they charged me a $100 no-show fee, even though I did show up 20 minutes late and called ahead. When I asked to waive the fee, they refused and mentioned that in August they had already “written off” a fee. In August, I called them a day before my appointment to say I was very sick (fever and cough), and they told me it was fine to reschedule. I had no idea they considered that a no-show in their system especially since I rescheduled specifically to protect their staff from my illness This whole situation made it clear to me that their focus is on strict policy and fees, not on long-term relationships or basic understanding of real-life situations. Very disappointing from a place I trusted for two years.

Glad to know they are caring for all of my family members (kids and adults). I especially appreciate that they were able to see my husband the quickly when he called in pain and were able to address the issue during that first visit. Also appreciate their early morning appointment slots on Wednesdays, which makes my work schedule easier.

Fantastic experience: I recently needed a crown replacement and, after comparing several dental offices, I chose Better Way and it truly did not disappoint. From the very beginning, even when I first reached out by text, the staff was extremely polite and professional. Since my insurance hadn’t yet taken effect, the front desk kindly followed up with me right after it became active. That made me feel genuinely valued as a patient. When I arrived, the clinic was spotless and welcoming. The front desk staff were gentle and courteous, and the dental assistants were highly professional and delicate in their work. Most importantly, Dr. Zhu was different from other dentists I’ve experienced. Instead of trying to maximize my insurance benefits right away, he carefully evaluated my dental condition and explained the areas that needed attention. When I asked if he could do a cleaning, he performed such a thorough basic cleaning that it was comparable to a deep cleaning. My crown replacement feels completely natural, with no discomfort at all. On top of that, Dr. Zhu identified issues that other dentists had overlooked and created a clear treatment plan for me, even teaching me how to use an interdental brush to protect my gums. I strongly recommend Dr. Zhu and Better Way Dental. Skilled and truly professional dentists like him deserve to be seen and appreciated by more people!

I've not experienced cleanings or anything with him but have heard from another that he personally does the cleanings which is pretty cool seeing as many dentists do not do this anymore.
