Monarch Dental & Orthodontics - Granbury, TX

Positive experience: Due to my bottom permanent retainers broke, the dentist suggested to remove the bottom permanent retainers. After they were removed, I started calling other dental offices to see who could see me the same day in the afternoon. I found one and they accepted my dental insurance. At my visit they reevaluated my loose teeth that was noticeable after my retainers were removed. The general dentist ask if there were anything the dentist could have done to help you. I told him no, I was given instructions to make an appointment with a general dentist. To my surprise I was told at my appointment with general dentist that the loose tooth is considered an emergency and more likely I will need to have a dental splint place. I just wish I will have known that what I needed was an emergency dental appointment immediately after the Orthontics remove my bottom permanent retainers. I have learn that no matter how much I had to pay for dental retainers removal that is all the service I received at appointment. I wish I would have been told that I need to see a general dentist ASAP because what I had was honestly an dental emergency. I am still in shock about the experience and I’m glad I listen to my instincts to start calling around and get it checked ASAP. At my Orthontics appointment, dentist and staff were super friendly and I appreciate the dentist pointing out about my loose tooth. I just wish they should have told me that I needed to see a general dentist as an emergency.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in the Monarch was great. The dentist and the dental hygienist explained everything they were going to do and offered options for what I needed done. The receptionist went over the procedures planned for later appointments and what was covered by insurance and my out of pocket so there would be no surprises. I would definitely recommend Monarch to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: Had a some what pleasant experience, I mean it is the dentist and I was in for just a cleaning.

Negative experience: Got there at 2:00 for an appointment and we had to wait 3 hours just for an exam and x-ray. They lied about an infection, they as well wanted to charge $5,650 for a cleaning. Also, the lady’s in the front desk need to worry more about their work and not about the patients. Super expensive for a cleaning, and definitely not worth it. Don’t let them rob you.

Negative experience: Do not Even consider this place. I am like a revolving door going into this place. This dentist does half butt job, leaves to his assistance the job to finish. , I am wondering back and forth into this office. A temporay cap does not last a day ! I do not eat jaw breakers. Lll. Warning on this office

Fantastic experience: This latest appointment was for a cleaning. First, I was sick during my original appointment scheduled time, and it was easy to reschedule. The new appointment was way out, but they put me on the ASAP list. A couple of days later, they got me in, so it was only about a week after my original appointment. Did a great job explaining the optional services, what they were for, and what they cost. The hygienist was awesome, really a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is friendly and professional. I had a bridge that would no longer stay in place. They were busy but still worked me in. Dr. Joseph examined me and determined that the bridge would no longer work for me . Dr. Joseph put into play a plan to replace the bridge with a better and stronger denture for at a practical price.

Positive experience: The doctor is great ..staff is good! But the office staff need to be a bit more friendly and more welcoming on the phone!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I had a great experience at Monarch Dental. The entire team was very professional and straightforward throughout our visits. Dr. Joseph Hashim took the time to explain everything clearly, making sure we both understood each step and why it was necessary. The treatment plans he created aligned perfectly with what he observed during our exams, which made us feel confident and informed about our dental care. We really appreciate their honesty and professionalism highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: The staff were extremely nice and welcoming. Every step of my initial exam was explained to me and anything that was wrong with my teeth was further explained in detail. They even showed me my x-rays and showed where the problem areas were and what I’ll have to get done to fix it all. The dentist was very nice too and told me what he was going to do before he did anything and even explained what tools he had. After the exam was over with they went over a list of what procedures I needed to get done, how much they were, how much my insurance was paying, and how much I had to pay out of pocket. There were no hidden fees and everything was explained thoroughly. Making a follow up appointment for said procedures was extremely easy and the receptionists know what they’re doing. I absolutely loved going here (I haven’t been to a dentist in over 3 years), they were professional, kind, and overall a good place to be for my teeth.

Negative experience: Friendly atmosphere and polite staff. Detail oriented on what you will experience and what your plan will be. Only two things that did not give it that one more star, my appointment started 45 minutes late and they push a toothbrush into your treatment plan without telling you how much you’re paying for it. Found out later that they also push unnecessary dental care just to create profit.

Fantastic experience: Professional and friendly business. All the staff are great in the Granbury, TX establishment. 3/5/2024 Had a bad toothache since Friday, but was able to get in today. This is probably one of the best dental experiences I've ever had! I had to have a tooth extraction, but it was done quickly and with no pain. Dr. Hashim was gentle and great, as was Rachael, the dental assistant.(Hope I spelled his name correctly) Thank you for such great care!!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff, amazing doctors. Today I was assisted by Jackie and fixed up by Dr. Joseph. Holy dang my mouth/tooth had been In pain for a few weeks. (Like feeling my heart beat in my wrist when I bite ,kinda pain.) >< T’was terrible. For sure, I figured It was gonna result in another immediate tooth pull, from bacteria or something. But naw, doctor figured out I was putting Unnecessary pressure on a root canal, because a tooth that was pulled some years ago by another dentist. Worked out a plan that didn’t need immediate extraction and got rid of the pain. <3 I’ve now been to this dentistry 3 times. Heavily recommend them and all the staff I’ve encountered. <3 [Side note: Most, persistent ,tooth pain is from Bacteria/tooth decay. Four other times I’ve had other teeth hurt like this, immediate extraction was necessary because of rot. Don’t wait to see your dentist if Some of your story sounds like mine. Because if it was Rot/ bacteria that can eventually get to your brain or cause tremendous cardiac issues on top of tooth pain. #Scary]

They really work hard to ensure that you are taken care of in as stress-free manner as possible; that appropriate authorizations are made to facilitate service; that insurance is well-coordinated for payments. Dentist was thorough in exam; excellent in explanation of issues; as well as discussing & developing a plan of treatment. He was gentle, considerate and thorough in the work done. Very pleased.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 recommend for anyone they are genuinely hands on and they poked around a tooth of mine and I made a noise and they brought some numbing cream within a few seconds it was their and they set up a Game plan for my dental work and very friendly like that southern hospitality atmosphere with the place

Negative experience: Went here for a while and then have been to other dentists for cleanings since. This place insisted on irrigation during cleanings and charged a high fee for it. Other dentists said there are studies that show this is not effective and is a scam.

Fantastic experience: Office was quiet and not crowded. Hygienist (did not catch name) was fast, efficient, very skillful and very friendly. The doctor (again, did not catch name) really is fabulous, extremely comoetent with a great bedside manner. He's the doc who looks like McDreamy on my wife's cheesy TV show. Also, tge office staff are great too.

Positive experience: There were too many people booked at one time. I got there at 10:10 am for my 10:30 am appointment. I got in after 11:00. I didn’t see the dental doctor. Thankfully I got out pretty quickly. Considering how many people were there, the ladies behind the counter stayed calm! Please do not overbook. Some of us have jobs to return to after the appointment.

Fantastic experience: Monarch Orthodontics has been amazing for us! My son's front tooth was at risk of getting broken during sports due to misplacing. They went in and got it straightened up in no time!!! He also only has 3 front teeth on the bottom and they got the placement just right so that you can't even tell. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. I would and have recommended Monarch to anyone!!!

Fantastic experience: Tiffany was AMAZING!!! I'm terrified at the dentist usually and she made me feel so relaxed. She has the greatest personality and made it a fun experience (crazy to say at the dentist for me lol). Also, she seemed to know her stuff pretty well I'm suprised she isn't a dentist. Her work was very quick but she made sure it was all done really well too. I was getting a permanent crown and had a previous gum injury from the temp crown. She worked around it really well.

I had a busted tooth, that they extracted for me, and they were just as patient, and, just as careful with me, as they could've possibly been. My first experience at this Monarch Dental Office, was absolutely fantastic! They are % times better, than those quacks and butchers at Family Smiles Granbury, who are located just across the parking lot from the Monarch Dental Office! Thank you, Dr Joseph Hashim, Jackie, and, thank you, Monarch Dental, for hiring first class doctors and assistants, like Dr Joseph Hashim, and Jackie!!! First rate, all the way around! I couldn't be more pleased with my new dentist office! Oh, and one last observation...the ladies at the front desk, were an absolute pleasure to have met, and to have talked to! :-)

Fantastic experience: I didn't like Monarch very much until I had my dental hygienist Carson. I've had Carson for my past two cleanings and it's incredible what a difference she makes! I have always taken care of my teeth and oral hygiene yet somehow Carson teaches me something new everytime. How can an adult (who has always gone to the dentist 2x a year) have anything to learn?? I don't understand how previous technicians never took the time to educate and make tweaks with me but It definitely makes me grateful for having a quality care now. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: Had issues with my insurance covering much less than expected. Kayla, the office manager, went above and beyond helping me maneuver the situation and helping me choose the most important procedures from an itemized insurance billing invoice, so that I could at least get the most done that I could afford at the time. She took over a call with my my insurance company on my cell phone to get all the necessary information and has patiently worked with me and answered my questions, as I’ve changed over to a diff policy. The dentist was pleasant, told me what was recommended vs required, and as a bonus, he is very handsome! Sry.. not sorry.

Negative experience: Unbelievably horrible experience. The dentist stated I had a cavity under my crown. Which has happened to a few of my old crowns. But he stated he had to pull my tooth. I told him no he’s not and I want to go to a endodontic he refused and he said he’s the expert and will decide. I refuse and he said well this is America and you can refuse which was a bizarre comment to make. I went to another dentist outside monarch as I have learned they share with each other. So my new dentist was shocked after his exam why it was even proposed to pull my tooth because there was no reason to do that. I am scheduled for a root canal at my new dentist office.

Negative experience: I made an appointment to have my teeth cleaned. I was on time and filled out the forms. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity the doctor finally came in and went over a boat load of things he thought needed to be done. I lost 2 teeth at different times years ago. He proposed pulling teeth and making bridges. The two missing teeth are in the back and cannot be seen. And they have never caused me any problems. 0 pThen he said he would have someone come in a few minutes and go over the cost with me. I then asked about my cleaning. He said he would see if the hygienist would have time to clean my teeth. My appointment was for cleaning (lol). After waiting for what seemed another eternity I went to the desk and asked them to email me the information. I spent from 12:30 to almost 3 o'clock there and left without what I went in for. Teeth cleaning.

Positive experience: Experience was ok except for the 25 minute wait for the dentist after my cleaning.

Fantastic experience: I had the most amazing dentist appointment today. I felt so comfortable and relaxed. I usually have anxiety whenever I see the dentist but to day I didn't. I felt very comfortable. I had the great very pleased with the work that I received. Thank you monarch for doing such a great job and making me feel comfortable. Negative experience: Worst dental experience ever. The dentist was very rough and put the crown in wrong than tried to file the taller part of the tooth down to work . It didn’t work at all. I want to give no stars.

Negative experience: I can confidently say this is the worst dentist I have been to. I have given them two stars rather than one because the staff was very friendly. They do an okay job at a basic teeth cleaning, but I cannot recommend them for anything more than that. I had a crown and fillings done, and was uncomfortable the entire time. Once the local anesthesia wore off I noticed what seemed like a burn on the underside of my tongue. The next time I went in the dentist was apologetic about the injury, but nothing else was done in regards to it. Along with this, the crown that was put on still hurts months after it was put on. The last thing that I have dealt with is issues with billing. I paid the required money for the services provided, and the next time I came in I was told that I had an outstanding balance and was required to pay more for services already performed. Monarch Dental is convenient, but I would not trust them to properly perform dental service on myself or others.

Negative experience: I've had terrible experiences at this Monarch location in Granbury. I don't have time to write out all the different things that have happened to me but I will recap yesterday's experience... First they were 1hr late (this is common) from my appointment time with no communication to me in the lobby. Then when I get called back, they started treating me as if I was there for a normal cleaning. Which I wasn't, I was there to get a crown put back on that has fallen off MULTIPLE times and has also broken. So once, the hygienist was informed I wasn't there for a cleaning, then I had to wait even longer for the next team to take place. The new dentist there can clearly identify the problem with my crown and even stated how terrible it was done by the previous doctor and that I will continue to have issues with the crown because it was not done right in the first place. But for the time being, he just put it back on and let the front office know I will need something longterm done with my crown. The doctor stated the front office was going to try to plea my case to receive a better and correct crown for the future and expenses on the office sense it was defective in the first place. The front office never communicated any information to me, they simply gave me a "head up" document that if my defective crown (that they made in the first place) were to fall off it would no longer be covered and would be about $900 dollars. Clearly they aren't helping support or solve the issue, leaving a customer out to dry. I can guarantee you that if something happens again to this crown, I WILL NOT be going back to this office or Monarch in general. If I have to pay full price, I'm going to an office that will do it right. I have had a previous crown from a family practice and have NEVER had an issue with it. Not once. Worse story I will share. About 2years ago the dentist was going in to inject my gums to work on the crown originally. He was about to shoot up THE WRONG SIDE of my face. I had to inform him that wasn't the crown he was working on. This office continues to loose and bring in new staff. Never the same people there. And I can see why, their work is very sketchy.

Negative experience: My fourteen-year-old daughter went to Monarch for her braces that she wore for almost two years. Her teeth straightened up beautifully. Two months after she got them off, a new dentist told her that her teeth are crooked and she might consider braces. Clearly, he had not read her chart to know that she was recently in braces. Now she is self-conscious about her smile. When I went in for a cleaning, he never looked at my teeth but told me I had gingivitis that requires an expensive treatment, along with three cavities that need filling. I am 53 with only three cavities in my entire lifetime and no trouble with my gums. I knew they were trying to get money for unneeded procedures. I overheard them speaking with an elderly lady in the next room, telling her to raise her Care Credit limit to pay for a procedure. How many other people are they ripping off? I have been going to this Monarch for more than 11 years. Everything has changed here, the front desk staff, the dentist, and the assistants. I’ll be going somewhere else.
