Fantastic experience: All 7 of my kids have gone to this dentist and have always had a good experience

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give it more stars, everyone was super friendly and took their time with my kids. They interacted with them and made them as comfortable as possible. They called me over and explained things that were going on with them and answered every question I had. It was my daughter’s first time getting her teeth cleaned and she was terrified when we left she said she can’t wait to go back !!!!

Negative experience: Took my kids here numerous times but after the dentist told my autistic daughter he was going to pull her teeth out if she didn’t keep her hands down that was it. Took my kids to a different dentist and come to find out they missed a giant cavity that went into the nerve on one child and another child had an abscess they missed! This is after telling him about her complaining about her teeth being sensitive numerous times. Would give zero stars if I could for this dentist.

Negative experience: I am reviewing my previous post because the torture and trauma my daughter faced here. I know there is very limited dental clinics in our area but if you can AT ALL avoid this place for your children please I beg you to. My daughter’s mouth was eventually filled with silver and the trauma she faced left her uncertain and afraid of another dentist. She was supposed to have been put under like the first time and she was not, she was relaxed and then needless were shoved at her at age 5/6 - she screamed so bad and for a long time I could not even speak of a teeth cleaning. We eventually started going to Monica Mosley in Danville and I highly recommend the travel to her. The whole staff and crew are amazing and specialize in children’s dental care. No trauma, no needles, just love, compassion and care.

Fantastic experience: They are usually pretty quick about getting you in and out. The front staff is always nice. Most of the hygienist and dental assistance are friendly and patient with the children. Overall, it’s always a pleasant experience. I will continue to take my children there.

My child is always excited about going that’s a plus because going to the dentist could be scary but the team makes it fun for the kids. You do an excellent job!!

Fantastic experience: The woman at the desk informed me they were short staffed. My two boys were in and out in 35 mins!! Staff didn’t act or look under staffed that day and were calm and pleasant as ever. I was very happy it went so well and so fast.

Fantastic experience: Today was my child’s first visit. I was nervous and so was he. The staff made him feel comfortable. I was able to sit with him while he was getting his teeth cleaned and examined. Honestly this was one of the best experiences I’ve had a dentist in a long time. Everyone was supportive of my decisions and I didn’t feel pressured in any way (no fluoride) and the doctor was pleasant and it was a quick trip. I’m feeling very fortunate we found this place!

Fantastic experience: First time I’ve had a child needing anything other than a cleaning. The front desk attendant was very nice, and the hygienist was kind and took time to answer questions my son and I had. I had to call back today for a few more questions I hadn’t thought of yesterday. I’m unsure who I spoke to, but they answered all my questions thoroughly and helped ease my mind. Overall great experience.

Fantastic experience: We had such a great experience at Kids First Dental in Martinsville! The staff was amazing and got us scheduled super fast. Our appointment was for 3 kids starting at 9:30, and we were walking out the door by 9:45! The team worked efficiently, and best of all—no complaints from the kiddos about their cleanings this time. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I was given two days to decide if I was going to go through with sedation/anesthesia on my three year old. I made my concerns clear. The alternative was being sent to Danville with her being strapped down…or so I was told. Her teeth were never looked at by Doctor Brown (she pushed at him and he didn’t want to make it a bad experience for her) nor did they get X-Rays before hand. Assuming it’s because her age, and her being difficult. It was made very clear on their end, they would not handle that behavior. So putting her to sleep was the only option there. I was two weeks away from that happening. Realizing, I CANNOT have her put to sleep I reached out for a second opinion. She had her procedure yesterday, with laughing gas. It took a total of 20 second to do what they needed to do. I’m distraught knowing I was so close to making a bad decision for my daughter, as I felt forced. This office is great for standard and basic scheduling. But if you are in a position like me, where your child is needing extra care…please consider ALL options. Get a second opinion first. Remember, YOU have the final say. I would like to add, had our appointment SOLEY been with Doctor Brown I think it would’ve been a better one. For sure.

Fantastic experience: My son Jackson has been going to Kids First Dental since he was 4 years old. The nurses along with Dr. Brown has always been courteous, kind, and considerate towards him. By him being autistic, they know how to talk and keep him calm, and has had a lot of patience with him.

They were patient, caring, and took the time to explain everything, which really helped ease any nerves. I couldn’t have asked for a better first visit for her. Negative experience: Dr. Brown drilled my son’s tooth. After my son, in his words, “whined,” he walked off and said, “I am done.” I will be filing a complaint to the BBB. Do NOT take your child here, they will be traumatized.

Fantastic experience: My favorite place ever! Dentist appointments used to be so dreadful until we found this gem! There’s also plenty to do in martinsville if your coming from far away!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Brown and all of his dental hygienists are very nice!!! They make the children feel comfortable with their procedures and explain everything that they are doing. It is a wonderful dental office for children. We travel an hour to get there. Well worth it for the care my son gets!

Fantastic experience: My 4 year old son had to recently have dental surgery, need anesthesia which him being my only child scared me and he didn’t take it well he got very upset and fought very hard which was normal and they all were so gentle and easy and patient with him and me cause I was a wreck and they assured me after he was asleep he was ok and to kiss him on the cheek and I really appreciate how well they took care of my son and fixed his teeth up and they did a great job

Negative experience: Had a good experience with office staff however the dentist traumatized my daughter by yanking and being rough, just left dentist in Roanoke and they said she had a tooth pulled without getting all the root and one of her capped teeth had a hole and was completely decayed because it wasn't properly pulped...I've shared my experience with my daughters pediatrician and they have also gotten complaints from the same dentist. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Those who don’t like to show to appointments properly or have a habit of short notice cancellations beware, they aren’t going to tolerate that very much which is a good reason I hear bad things from this office. Use them properly they’re awesome! No show and you won’t be happy. I feel all offices should follow a policy similar. Mother to a 2yo and 5yo patient!

Fantastic experience: We were in and out less than 30 minutes, they already had all of her records transferred over and knew she was on the autism spectrum so they were absolutely fantastic with her! Honestly the best dentist visit I’ve ever had for either of my kids!
