Negative experience: I’m really happy with the dental hygienist I had. Otherwise, I’d likely be canceling my next cleaning appointment after how communication went with the dentist about a bite adjustment. I like clear communication but instead just got ‘well you shouldn’t be feeling what you say you’re feeling’ which I don’t find useful. Edit: can’t recommend this place at all. The dentist has terrible communication habits and poor emotional regulation. His hands were also shaky.

Fantastic experience: I have a dental plan in the works. I'm so pleased with how it's going. In and out, no pain, no pressure for unnecessary work! Great dentist!!!

Negative experience: I had a crown done here because they were the only clinic in town that could get me in quickly. I felt it was an all around terrible and painful experience. The only justification for one star is that they were available. The crown had to be redone between two and three years later. Espire Dental was all around amazing. Not enough stars for those folks. Unfortunately, I had to pay the full cost because the insurance said it was too soon by years. I would rather pay Espire in full every time than ever go back to this clinic. It was an expensive lesson, but I don't need to learn it twice.

Fantastic experience: I always have a good visit. I really liked my hygienist, Maddy, today tho. She took her time, wasn’t really rough and made my cleaning a pleasant one. I’ve always had a good experience there. I would recommend them to anyone.

Negative experience: I was grateful they could get me in same day, but I did not feel like a person here. The assistant was amazing but then the densist came in, didn't aknowlege me, poked and hit my teeth, rambled off a few things, and then left. The assistant asked if I had any questions and I said "What?" She had to explain everything to me because I had no idea what the dentist was talking about. The hygienist was so kind but this by far was the most painful cleaning I've had. (And I take good care of my gums and teeth).

Negative experience: Warning! Dr Whiting is very dishonest. After doing poor work on my husbands bridge he refused to honor the warranty when it broke only a few months after installation. He blames my husband’s bite. I guess the bridge was not meant to be used, only looked at? He took 2 months wages from us, self-pay (no insurance), and we have nothing to show for it. He only wants money and doesn’t care about the patient. Beware!

Negative experience: Dr. Whiting was very rude and generally unpleasant. Also, I ended up sitting in the lobby for 15-45 or more minutes at each appointment due to what I assume may have been poor scheduling. Most importantly, after receiving a second opinion; I'm not sure all of the work schedule for me was necessary. Update from several years later: Do not go to this dentist. The work he did ended up needing to be repaired later.

Fantastic experience: Amber was my dental hygienist and she did an amazing job. I was extremely nervous and she was so gentle and understanding. She listened to and answered all of my questions in a very thorough and respectful manner.

Negative experience: Dentist refused to fix loose implant and crown. Had to go to another dentist to get it fixed. Problem was only a loose screw. Four years later, from above post. New complaint and review. I had a dental cleaning scheduled for 3 September 2025 at 1000 on Wednesday. The Friday before the scheduled appointment on 3 September I received a text to confirm appointment, which I did. On Monday 1 September I received another text asking me to complete paperwork before my 3 September 1000 appointment which I completed. No other notifications by text message, phone calls, or voice mail were received before I showed up for my scheduled 3 September 2025 1000 appointment. Ypur office also has a policy to charge me if don't show for an appointment or cancel well in advance. So I showed up as scheduled at 1000 on September 2025 for my cleaning after scheduling my day around this appointment. Just t find out you had no one to complete my appointment to say the least I was upset. So I was rescheduled for Friday 5 September 2025 at 0900. So I had to arrange another day off to make an additional visit. The officer manager up fro t blond hair said you would make it right. But still have not got a response from your office to how that will occur. By the way the appointment on Friday went well.

Negative experience: Went into to get my teeth cleaned and they refused to do so citing that I had two small cavities. I also brought my daughter they said she had cavities but they would clean her teeth. No pain no swelling. They also told me I had an infection in one of my wisdom teeth with no pain and no swelling. Scammers would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit! I was pleased with the cleaning! Today I went in to get a temporary crown and I was happy with the results! It was a fast visit and he did not hurt! Negative experience: Dental hygienist, Caitlin, has always been incredible. I had a filling in November and the dental assistant was so rude and Dr. Whiting was not any better. I will never come here again or recommend it to anyone.

Negative experience: The hygienists are fine but I did not feel like a person here. My first visit, I was told I needed to get two fillings. My thought process was to trust him because he's the dentist. After I got the fillings, one tooth became extremely sensitive and still causes me discomfort to this day. My second visit was only a cleaning because their office did not tell me Dr. Whiting was out on vacation. I wish they would have told me so I could have rescheduled. My third visit I was told once again that I needed to get two fillings. Dr. Whiting actually told his technician this information who later relayed it to me as Dr. Whiting stepped out, the only real conversation he had with me was asking if I've had braces and if I would consider them. The chairside manner could definitely be improved as I received no explanation as to why I needed two new fillings. I went and got two different opinions and they saw no cavities. I was also charged incorrectly, I'm glad I caught it and had it fixed. I can't say if it was malicious or not, but the cumulation of all three visits left a bad taste in my mouth.

Positive experience: They are careful with my sensitive teeth, so I am more comfortable going for a visit. They are on time and friendly.

Positive experience: The people in the office are all friendly and kind. I struggled with the cleaning and gum measuring today. The tech scraped my gums and the top of my mouth several times. It was painful. Not my normal experience but felt it needed to be shared.

Negative experience: I been going to the dentist regularly since I was a child and I been to many different offices, this place is the worst I been too! The hygienist is a butcher. I had a teeth cleaning appointment they had to reschedule twice and when I showed up they only wanted to do an x-ray and exam no teeth cleaning. What a waste of my time. This place just wants money and not taking care of their patients needs over profits! I would give a negative 5 stars if I could!

Fantastic experience: I enjoying going to Wyoming Family Dental. Everyone in the office are friendly and accommodating. The Dr. has a great chair-side manner. The Dr. and his staff has taken care of my wife's and my teeth for the past 5 years. No issues!!

Fantastic experience: They are always so gentle with my 6.5 year old daughter. This was her first cleaning and she was timid at first but they were able to get her over her fears and got through the entire cleaning all because of the Drs over there being so attentive to her. We love it! The office staff is always so nice and she loves getting to peek into the prize box at the end!! Thank y’all for helping my kiddo get over her fears.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Whiting and his awesome staff for a little over a year now, and have been pleased. I normally hate the dentist and my teeth needed a lot of work! So far I have had teeth extracted, crowns, bridges and now I'm in the process of getting implants in the worse section of my mouth. This process has been a blessing from the beginning. I knew the cost for all 2 years worth of what this was going to take and every visit has gone to plan. Dr. Whiting is a magician and gets the work done quickly and painlessly..(which was never my experience with prior dentists). I could go on and on but if you are in the Cheyenne area and need dental work you should give them a chance at least.. you won't be disappointed!!!

Positive experience: I arrived 15 minutes early just in case the electronic paperwork submission didn't work on my phone. They already had my insurance information, so I only had to fill out the consent forms--which took 5 minutes. I sat and waited until 20 minutes past my appointment time. When the hygienist finally called me back, she said, because I was late there wouldn't be time for cleaning (the whole purpose of my visit)--there was only time for an exam and x-rays. I told her I had been in the waiting room for over half an hour! I was definitely NOT late. Either way, there wasn't time for my cleaning and they had to reschedule me. The receptionist didn't seem very busy, so I'm not sure why she didn't send me back on time. The point is, I was physically in the building for an hour and 15 minutes only to receive 25 minutes of an incomplete visit. My review reflects my annoyance at having to take another hour+ off later in the week to finish the second half of my appointment.

Negative experience: So I had a root canal done roughly 3 years ago and they didn’t glue my crown all the way on my tooth, it was only glued to the bottom half of my tooth and it ended up falling off and half of my tooth broke off and now I’m missing a tooth, which by the way is so embarrassing and I feel so insecure about my smile and they never even offered to fix it or fix their mistake and now they’re trying to charge me to have it fixed again. They even charged me to get me in, just to take a look at it.

Negative experience: Lady is rood at front desk just there for money and I have never been there just called because I have a bad tooth

Negative experience: I have been coming here for about 3 years now, and have had a great experience with them for myself and my 3 kids since moving here. Sadly however, I will be looking for a new place for care after today. No compassion from the front desk staff regarding an insurance thing, basically stating they were unable check a date through my insurance as to when a procedure was last done, and after calling my insurance after the appointment they said they could have done this. Whether true or not, as I don't know the limitations there, the lady showed zero compassion for the situation and was unwilling to even consider other possibilities and kept pushing the out of pocket expenses and unwillingness to even look into my insurance options. My insurance stated even if the time frame of coverage was less than what they normally require, since we moved due to military orders they would cover the procedure since my original dentist was out of state and I was unable to go back to them to have it fixed. So this shows me that their scheduler was lazy and only concerned with making money off someone. I'm sad to leave Dr. Whiting, as he is a phenomenal dentist, and my dental hygienist Katie was AWESOME. However, inadequate front desk staff is a complete no go for me. Going to the dentist causes enough anxiety, I need a place that has competent insurance staff for my wallet's sake.

Fantastic experience: Cleaning was soooo easy! Caitlin ( hope I spelled that correctly) was the best! Took great care with me since I was suffering from a sinus infection and she worked around my problem.

Negative experience: They don't understand about domestic violence I had to call so many times to get them to email me stuff and they will not answer the phone

Negative experience: Loved the office staff and hygienist. Cleaning and xrays went fine. When the hygienist told the dentist that "everything looked good" he seemed DISAPPOINTED. That's a FIRST in my life and put me off mightily. It seems to me to be the opposite of the normal reaction from any Healthcare Provider. The dentist also never smiled, looked me in the eye or made small talk, even though I was a new patient, a senior citizen and a lady. **I won't be going back.** Also, you are required to pay in advance, which was another first. (Interestingly, Google lists the practice as "woman owned" and "Asian owned". The dentist is white, male.) POSTSCRIPT: Google tells me that he replied to my review but I'm not even going to read it because I told the truth, and not being able to resist responding to me to have the last word just illustrates my point. I would not this man ever to touch me and I would never feel I could trust his professional advice. He said something vague about a "gap in the gum" which in reading all the reviews here and on Yelp, is something he says to almost everyone, like a tag line. It's the first time that I have heard the term in 60+ years of steady dental care. My advice remains to go elsewhere or risk becoming a cash cow.

Negative experience: Worst experience! I went to get my teeth cleaned and the lady was super rough and rude. She had no options for me to be comfortable while getting my teeth cleaned. I Left with all my gums bleeding. I had to stop her a few times until finally I couldn’t take it anymore. The whole time I was in pain very unpleasant teeth cleaning! Would not recommend going to them for anything! The Dentist only wants money don’t really care for your needs and health of your teeth.

Negative experience: Very uncomfortable place to go. They offered a free extensive cleaning treatment plan and then continued to bill insurance to the point I ran out of coverage for the year and missed out on necessary dental procedures, while telling me if I did not continue with the cleaning I would have to pay full price. Later found out that I did not need to continue with cleanings after being billed for one that I had been told was "free" The main office lady talks in a very demeaning tone when asked to explaincharges on my account. My treatment plan was over $10,000 and when I suggested pulling everything and getting implants Dr. Whiting acted like I was stupid. Saw another dentist in town and showed my treatment plan and she said half of the treatments were not even necessary.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a dental bridge and they did a good job! They would get your mind off what they were doing! Awesome people! A+A+A+.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I feel i have to rate anonymously and unfortunately in good conscience I have to give Dr Whitings practice one star. Dr whiting himself is professional and knowledgable, quite a bit rushed, but his office staff are HORRIBLE. They are condescending and rude when they communicate and do the bare minimum to help. I will go to a different dentist

Fantastic experience: I found them back in Feb and need dental work immediately, at first I was unsure the staff was little rude or was it me since I was in pain from said tooth. But I have continued to use them and the dentist is good he does explains and the hygienist there are also willing to explain anything to you have question about !! This is coming from someone who is afraid and scared of the dentist but I would recommend and my cup of tea may not be for you though

Fantastic experience: I have had horrendous experiences with dentists and such in the past. Doc did awesome. He took the time to listen, had a great sense of humor and made me feel comfortable while there. He made sure I did not feel anything and took the initiative to add more numbing medication to ensure I was comfortable before the procedure. First time in a long time I did not fear the dentist. Five stars on yelp for sure.

Negative experience: Dentist was rude and his attempt at a proper filling chipped within 2 weeks, when I went back I was told I would need a root canal, went to someone else who fixed in half the time and confirmed I did not need a root canal. It has been solid ever since.

Negative experience: Went for a new patient appt and routine cleaning. Worst prophy of my life. She almost had me in tears because she was so rough and then I literally went home and had to remove more very visible calculus myself. They also did not polish me. I was also diagnosed by Dr. White with a mouth full of cavities and proposed a treatment plan that would completely exhaust my benefits when I had just seen my regular (very good) dentist 4 months prior and left with a clean bill of health. I used to work in the field and knew something was very odd here so I sought a second opinion. Turns out as I suspected that I have ZERO cavities and the second dentist who examined me also said “it looks like you haven’t had a cleaning in a while.” I just had one at Wyoming Cosmetic one month ago! Consumer beware! Terrible hygienist experience and this place is looking to “maximize your dental benefits” i.e. diagnose unnecessary treatment for mere profit.

Fantastic experience: I first went here because of the great deal they give with X-rays and an exam. I didn’t have dental insurance at the time but they broke down the price of every procedure I’d need to get done. They did not make me feel obligated to get my work down there. They didn’t push me into any credit cards or anything. They laid out facts/options and allowed me make my decisions without pressure. I actually didn’t go back for a few months because I was waiting to get insurance from my job. When I did, I started with the most severe problem which was a root canal. The front desk ladies are amazing, I called in the middle of the week because of severe pain and the girl I spoke with was trying to get me in asap. They worked with me on payment and explained policy and allowed me time to get things together. I appreciated all the patience! Once in office, the dentist was quick, precise, and caused me no pain or discomfort. I don’t like to go to the dentist myself and I always feel so ashamed of my teeth because they’re not great, but the dental assistant and dentist were amazing about everything. The first dental assistant I had that helped me with my temp crown was accommodating and talkative and knowledgeable, she answered all my questions. Made me feel very comfortable. When I came back for my permanent crown, the second dental assistant Ingrid, was so sweet and also put time and effort into talking and making me feel comfortable, also answering all my questions on the procedure and not just ignoring my interest in what was the next steps. She and the dentist didn’t make me feel ashamed for my teeth or anything. They made sure the permanent tooth fit perfect and wasn’t causing any discomfort. They weren’t rushing me out and were making sure I was ok with my procedure and comfortable. I really appreciate that in a dentist office. Thank you for a great experience from the beginning at the front desk through my whole procedure, talking through prices, and checking on my insurance and not just trying to get money out of me. Thank you for taking such great care of my teeth. I am looking forward to the rest of my procedures because of this great experience.

Negative experience: The damage this practice caused to my my mouth following a routine procedure has cost me over 2800 dollars. They refuse to respond to emails and will absolutely ignore phone calls . I cannot believe they are even allowed to be open, doing shoddy work and endangering people's health. I wish I had the time and money to seek legal action. Just don't go here.

Negative experience: Scheduled an appt for a cleaning was charged for a cleaning but told to come back for a special cleaning for more money. Left without a cleaning. Also I have to mention the level of comfort in the building. I waited over an hour for the dentist to look at my teeth in the procedure room. There’s no tv or music. Your phone won’t connect to anything so your literally just sitting there they scheduled me at the same time as this older man do I had to wait for her to get done with his appt before she even was able to come talk to me. 10/10 do not recommend any one go here and waste there money

Negative experience: If you have bad anxiety going to the dentist, DO NOT come here. Might be a long review but I never post reviews and I feel the need to warn people about this place. My tooth chipped open Friday night, leaving the inside and nerves exposed. I needed immediate attention/treatment. I found that this place was open on Saturdays and I set up an appointment online for 10am the next morning. I even got a confirmation email. I drove all the way from Fort Collins. They tell me I'm not in their system so all they can do is put me in as a walk in and no treatment would be done. I at least wanted to see someone thinking maybe if they saw the severity they would try to help in some way. Staff was very unwelcoming, I have really bad anxiety when it comes to health care so it was an emergency case for me to be going in general. They took X-rays and pictures and I waited for the dentist. He saw my tooth and just said I would need a root canal and a crown but they would have to wait til Monday. The whole reason I set an appointment was to get it fixed as soon as possible because the pain was so extreme I could not eat or drink, barely could breathe without immediate sharp pain in my exposed tooth. I asked if there was anything he could prescribe me since I had been taking Advil and ibuprofen. He then said he legally can't give out narcotics unless he performed a procedure on me. (which is false) I did not ask for narcotics, I asked for literally anything to help with this excruciating pain. This dentist then proceeded to tell me it was my fault for taking so long to go to the dentist and to endure the pain for 2 days, I also asked what I'm supposed to eat and he said nothing. I was literally crying. I am disgusted at this experience I've had at this dentistry. This is why I don't like going. He really made me feel like I was faking it to get narcotics and that it was my fault. No one expects their teeth to snap in half while eating. They also did not recommend any places that could possibly help. I'm really just upset and very much discouraged from going to dentists in the future, Im scared to go somewhere like this again and to be turned away and made to feel like I did something wrong. Never once did they apologize or make me feel like my feelings and pain were valid. Do not come to this dentistry in general. Very unkind and unprofessional.

Negative experience: Dr. Whiting convinced me that I needed a bridge even though I lived without one for 15 years. One of the worst mistakes of my life. As someone who struggles with flossing it should have NEVER been recommended, especially since I was doing fine without one. Not only a waste of $3k, but also now I have 3 ruined teeth instead of one. Luckily there is a different dentist there and I switched to her. Hopefully things will go better with her.

Negative experience: Just stay away from this place. I had crowns done here and some other work done. Totally screwed up my root canal. A very well known endodontist in Cheyenne specifically has said they have been fixing mistakes from here and I'm not the only one. EVERYTHING they did had to be re-done. Several other dental office here in town know about the fine work these people do stay away, your mouth will appreciate it, as well as your wallet.

Fantastic experience: I came in for my regular cleaning and Heather was professional but personable and kind throughout my visit. I just love the way she interacts, smiles and laughs. Jen is great as always and does a wonderful job of keeping it all together. Dr. Whiting is great too but he always forgets to ask me if I’d like to pull a treasure out of his treasure chest when I’m finished! Maybe that is for those patients less than 60? My whole family loves this practice and Dr. Whiting has a one stop shop. We’ve had crowns, bridges, braces, root canals and even an implant. We’ve been coming to WY Cosmetic and Family Dental since we moved to Cheyenne in 2007. These guys are fantastic and not only do they always do a great job, they make the experience fun...well maybe not fun like going to an arcade or put-put golf but as fun as dental care can be!

Fantastic experience: Thorough, friendly, and efficient. The hygienists are always friendly and personable, and Dr. W is very efficient. I get consistently high-quality service and have never exceeded my appointment timeframe. They have accommodated my complicated schedule and really make me feel welcome.
