Negative experience: It smells like a urine cake or a porta John as soon as you go into the office, it takes your breath away. Absolutely the worst smelling place. I’ve been in a very long time not to mention the last two times I’ve been they told me it’s gonna be at least 45 minutes to an hour wait before I even be seen so then I have to sit in these chairs that are too small for my hips, and smell this horrible smell why there’s five employees Staring at me from behind behind the desk

Negative experience: I tried to make an appointment to establish care for my husband and have a tooth repaired but despite THREE appointments made, the office in Jackson, MI cancelled every single one at the last minute! Maybe we have been saved from making the mistake to go there. We will never know. But their customer service was awful and they were uncaring and rude. NOPE.

Negative experience: Waited 2 hours to be seen for a chipped tooth. Was then told that the soonest I could be seen was mid May.

Fantastic experience: As a child we never had dental insurance. Now as an adult I am paying the price for it. Dr. Zheng and her assistant Maddie were amazing and didn't make me embarrassed for all the work I needed done. Everyone in the office was friendly and laughing. Going to the dentist can be scary, but the staff made it almost seem fun. Plus I got to watch the movie Cars during my cleaning. There was a student learning to do Xrays. I was more then happy to let her practice on me.

Fantastic experience: I went to get a cleaning, 4 cavities filled and a wisdom tooth extracted and I was in and out in less than an hour. I only had to wait about 10 minutes before I was seen. The hygienist (I believe her name was Maddie/Maddy) was so kind and accommodating. She complimented my bag charms on my purse too! I can’t remember the dentists name that did my dental work but he was a younger white male. He was very fast and did a great job. I normally hate dental work and I put off the dentist for about 6 years because of this, but after my appointment today I will happily be back in 6 months!

Negative experience: I was very unpleased with Dr.Patel...broke a piece of my jaw bone, damage that took a year to heal.. I'm much happier now. Hopefully she isn't with your company any more. I need to schedule an appointment. Phone rings off the !

Fantastic experience: Staff is friendly and a good place to have dental work done. They accept numerous types of insurance.

Negative experience: I would give them no stars if I could. I did a walk in appointment and waited over 2 hours. I was never seen and the staff was very dismissive and rude when I asked how much longer.

Negative experience: DO NOT COME HERE!! THEY WILL PURPOSEFULLY DRILL TOO FAR INTO YOUR TEETH CAUSING YOU TO REQUIRE A ROOT CANAL!!!! it’s how they make their money. messed my teeth up so bad.

Negative experience: I didnt even get to use my appointment slot. I went in for a first time visit and at my own fault gave them th wrong insurance information. Made a very quick call and got them the right information in less than 5 minutes. When I went back into the office they had canceled my entire appointment and told me they couldn't work with me. And when I asked why I got told "we have had people say that and never come back in." Very unprofessional and I will not return. I immediately called another dentist and made another appointment with them. I am very unpleased.

Negative experience: Absolutely do not recommend this place. Extremely unprofessional, can't get there billing straight and there front desk (MONICA) is great at hanging up on people when called out on their errors. Before my daughter's appointments payments were made in full after they gave me two different invoices with two different quotes half way through treatment. One giant MONEY SCAM

Negative experience: Worst experience ever!! Do not bring your children here!! Called to book both of my children a routine cleaning and exam and was quoted $80 for each visit. Go ahead and book and was called the day before to confirm appointment and to be told the cost would now be anywhere from $170- $197 out of pocket! After going round and round with the rude office lady she could not tell me an actual price or why the pricing was jumping all over the place but because we had already waited 3 weeks since booking we kept the initial appointment which was supposed to cover xrays an, an exam, and a cleaning. Once we were taken back the xrays were done by a lady who was very professional and good with my child but then we waited over 20 minutes in the room for the dentist to brush and floss my childs teeth for about a minute and rub floride on her teeth real quick... absolutly no teeth cleaning like i paid for. And then proceeds to tell me she has tooth decay and he doesnt work on children for that but i can get a referal for a pediatric dentist at the front desk!!! When i asked him further about the teeth he just brushed me off and said to have the pediatric dentist exam my child to get more details as he didnt want to comment. So after finding a new dentist for my child (because i did not trust their judgement for who they refered me to) i had to physically go into the office to sign forms for them to even release the xrays for the services they dont provide!!! Now im having to pay all over again for an initial exam appointment at the new dental office! I completly feel scammed by this office and my family will never return!

Negative experience: Had two teeth pulled 7 days ago in excruciating pain made an appointment waited an hour and a half just to get in tried to explain to them that this is not normal I've had 17 teeth extracted and never been in this much pain there is two bumps on the outside of my gum tried telling me it was my jaw bone not sure what they did but it's not normal I was told to wait another 5 days we will see but I guarantee nothing is going to change they put brown paste on it yesterday with no help with the pain at all unreal

Negative experience: I had a cleaning appointment at 12 well I waited for 1 hour asked again they said 30mins mind u when I came in they said they were not behind on appointments! I’m truly sad they want you to sit and wait while others come in and go right back ! Sadly I won’t make appointments there anymore I just left

Positive experience: Appointment was at 10:30 & I got in about 11:45 so the wait was kinda long. But when I got in there the dental assistant and dentist were great. They were a very comfortable and comedic duo, I've never had a filling and the drill noise even though I've heard the sound before, it has always made me a little uneasy but they made me laugh and distracted me and the entire process was very easy going. The only downside was the wait but I'm very patient so I don't mind as long as the staff and the dentist themself are effective and efficient. I will definitely be back.

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst experience of my life. Do not bring your children here. I am a mom of 4 and unfortunately villages don’t exist anymore. They schedule two of my kids back to back appointments didn’t inform me They did not have room for anyone except for the child and one adult to be in the exam room at a time and told me my seven-year-old would have to go back there alone as well as my five-year-old . When I asked, they said that they did not have a room in the rooms. My seven-year-old had been back there for some time So I asked if I could reschedule my five-year-old’s appointment because I didn’t have anybody to sit with my kids and she’s autistic and I didn’t want her to go by herself I did complain that they did not communicate to me the size of their rooms to which they replied “well, we didn’t know you had four kids.” And “ You’re gonna have to find someone to sit with them” They informed me they were finishing up a cleaning on my seven year year-old, which they did not communicate to me that they were doing nor did they ask me if they could do it. When I told them it was a very poor lack of communication on their part, one of them smirked and rolled their eyes. They brought my seven-year-old back to me and told me she had cavities and I said I don’t believe anything that you guys say since nobody could show me because I wasn’t allowed to be back there to which she said well I was about to pull you back there, but you pulled her out and I said how are you gonna pull me back there? When my other kids aren’t allowed out there I’m not leaving them in the lobby. They did not have anything to say I told them to throw the paper away and we left. Very unprofessional and very upset and just know only you and your ONE minor child are allowed no siblings no other parents nobody else. Mind you I have a damn 2 year old that could be on my lap but that’s not allowed either. Because there’s not enough room Because of hippa And because they only have 1 chair in each room Since they gave me 3 different reasons. I came here to add they knew I had four kids considering two had appointments today and two head appointments on Friday. They were well aware that I had four kids. Also could’ve informed me when I walked in before I sat for over an hour filling out paperwork That they could not accommodate our size family, but they chose not to

Negative experience: I don't like to leave reviews when I know.It's a place that all they do is care about money period they don't care about their patients.I was treated poorly with my dental care and they lied about me.I always went to my referrals period I just want to make it clear to everybody.If you're looking for a dentist, please don't go here.They will all they want to do is pull your teeth and they like to lie and blow stuff off period I have a new awesome dentist.Now i'm in better care now period but that place sucks.They're fake period

Negative experience: Per my email 6 days ago that still has not received a response Dear Destiny Dental Jackson Team, I am writing regarding my recent experiences at your Jackson, MI location and to formally request that all upcoming appointments and proposed treatment plans be canceled. Please also remove any pending submissions to my insurance related to these services. I had an appointment scheduled for Friday, 8/8/25 at 1:30 PM, but after waiting in the lobby for some time, I was informed there was an issue with my insurance and that a “universal system” was down. However, when I left the office and contacted my insurance directly, they confirmed there was no such outage. This suggests my appointment could not be confirmed in advance due to an internal process oversight. My appointment was rescheduled for Monday, 8/11/25 at 12:30 PM. Upon arrival, I waited 45 minutes in the lobby before being seen. I was expecting a cleaning (as discussed when scheduling over the phone), but instead only received x-rays and was given a $918 treatment plan. I made it clear in my initial scheduling call that I am only in town for a short period of time, as I am an ambassador for children with disabilities and travel often. When reviewing the treatment plan, I specifically asked the dental associate why the breakdown showed a “patient portion” rather than being fully covered by insurance. She did not have a direct answer and disregarded the question. I informed her clearly that I will not make any payments that are not covered by insurance — that is the entire point of having Medicaid. I made this position known before any services were performed, yet the proposed plan still reflected costs that would be billed to me personally. The proposed plan included multiple visits, anesthesia, and treatments beyond my immediate needs. This is not aligned with what I scheduled or expected, which was a straightforward cleaning. Given these circumstances, I will be seeking care from a different provider who can address a cleaning and cavity promptly without requiring a multi-stage process. Please confirm in writing that: All future appointments are canceled. No further submissions will be made to my insurance for this treatment plan. Additionally, I am requesting complete records of the 8/11/25 appointment, including all notes and documentation sent to my insurance, within the next 48 hours so I can conduct my own due diligence and escalate this matter quickly for review. This was not the service I expected, and it felt like the plan presented was something pushed on me rather than the cleaning I had scheduled. I also request digital copies of my x-rays so that I may provide them to another dentalprovider. Please note that my experience and the lack of receiving the service I originally scheduled will be reflected in my review and rating of your office. Negative experience: Was a decent dentist (except for the insane wait times when I just needed a filling or cleaning. After getting a crown in November I kept going back in because the pain never went away for one tooth. He kept telling me he did not see a problem and kept "adjusting" it. Then while getting a cleaning from LCC dental school the doctor there noticed a margin in crown I kept complaining to my regular dentist about. After many calls to Destiny Dental about the findings I couldn't get another appointment until I threatened filing a complaint with our insurance. That's when Destiny Dental finally referred me to the UofM for a "possible fracture". I'm almost positive the dentist fractured my tooth while putting on the permanent crown and didn't want to admit it and was going to just let me have tooth pain forever?

Fantastic experience: Needed an abscess tooth extracted. Got me in same day when no one else could. They were very nice and caring. Probably one of the best visits to a dentist I’ve had

Negative experience: Was in for an appointment on Friday, 7/11/2025. Prescriptions for antibiotic were supposed to be called in that day. As of the following monday, the prescriptions still have not been called in. And the office has not answered any of the 5 calls so far today. I am extremely disappointed in their service and will never return to this provider.

Negative experience: This is the worst place to see. My gf has had multiple appointments here and everytime they see her last. Her appointment today was at 11, and we've been sitting in the lobby for over 40 mins. While people who came in after got to be seen first. This is not good. this will be the last time we come here. Positive experience: Been there few Tim's and had great experience! From the counter staff, the techs and dentist We're all very informative and friendly. Also got my cavities fixed within weeks of each other so I did not even have to wait long for an apt on them. Definitely will be coming back again and again.

Negative experience: This location stated they were not taking adults at this time. I found A2 dental in Ann Arbor and I had an amazing experience. They staff is always friendly, they get you in right away, and the Dentist is an artist. I am greatful I found them and I love going to the dentist at A2 dental!!!

Negative experience: I’ve called several times and I have yet to receive a call back. I originally had an appointment with them two months ago, but they canceled. 0/10 and the front desk lady was rude as hell.

Negative experience: I NEVER leave reviews on places but I feel like people need to know what they’re getting into before going here. The staff isn’t mean by any means but you can tell they just don’t care at all. They aren’t friendly, will only speak to you if they have to and aren’t gentle at all. I went in and got a tooth extracted which that experience was fine I guess but a few days after it ended up dry socketing. When I went back in to try to get stronger pain meds they were very rude and not helpful at all. They ended up squirting antibiotics on it super aggressively to the point of me crying because it hurt so bad. Then when I asked if I could get something for the pain they basically said I’d just have to deal with it until it heals and they can prescribe me some Tylenol and mouth wash and that’s it. Both interactions they were very rude and treated me like a chore they had to deal with instead of a customer. I’ve had bad dental anxiety my entire life and this just made it so much worse…

Negative experience: If you are a person who weighs more than hundred pounds don't go inside this establishment and expect them to have a chair for u to wait in the place is a joke and don't expect the person behind the desk to even act like they care if u don't have a place to wait

Negative experience: So I am a fairly larger man I am 6ft and 400pounds ask if they had any chairs for a bigger person to sit in she acted like I was crazy and said I can't do anything about it. So not only am I waiting for hour in lobby no seat but the receptionist Nikki acts like I am being a problem because the chairs are all sized for a person who is under 180pounds don't even act like I should have to say it

Negative experience: They canceled my December 2024 appointment the day before the appointment. I rescheduled my appointment for Monday, February 10, 2025, only to receive a call on Friday, February 7, 2025, just 30 minutes before they closed for the day, stating that my appointment was canceled due to the dentist being on vacation next week. Am I supposed to believe they didn't know about this vacation ahead of time? The dentist just waited until end of day on Friday to announce that she is taking the next week off? Wildly unprofessional.

Negative experience: Wait time is high. Appointment time is 11.00 AM but we are still waiting for nurse call at 11.40. Do not recommend this place if you are timely person.

Fantastic experience: Absolute best dentist & staff around! I've been coming here for a while now. I've had a root canal, fillings, cleanings, & even got a partial bridge/denture for 2 missing molars. The dentist I see is the black haired man who's super sweet & a perfectionist (highly appreciated in a dentist, for sure) & I adore him. All of the dental hygienists who've worked alongside of him are wonderful as well. They're so kind, helpful, patient & do the greatest work on my teeth. I've never had someone yank out a tooth without even realizing it until I came here. Somehow the numbing shots never hurt either. These people are amazing & I'd never recommend any other office! It doesn't get better than them. (I've gone everywhere, trust me on this one.)

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit today! X rays, and consult visit! I'm absolutely petrified of the dentist!! I felt completely at ease, and the place is very professional, and everyone was very courteous, after the visit they went over all the procedures to be done, gave me paperwork, talked to me, very thorough! I was very pleased!! Glad I decided on them! If you are on the fence! Go with them! It is worth it!!

Negative experience: Used to be a patient.Had appointment a couple years ago to get a filling done.The day before..they called and told me they could not retain enough dentists to maintain their current amount of patients..so they were canceling my appointment and future check up also.They said they'd call me when they got more dentists...Still waiting two and a half years later.

They make sure I get all of my needs taken care of especially when it comes to needing an extraction done immediately. The staff & dentist are super friendly & so nice. Negative experience: This place is absolutely terrible, the dentist only gave me 2 minutes of his time and suggested that I put 2 crowns on teeth that didn't even need them. I've been going here for years and they put a bunch of fillings in teeth that didn't need fillings yet and it's caused a lot of unnecessary damage. They don't give people the time or attention that is needed. I strongly recommend looking around and checking out other options..... I ended up finding a dentist that is absolutely amazing!

Negative experience: I hate to write a bad review for any business, but this place does not care about your time. All the reviews you see about people waiting for over an hour is absolutely real. I’m only doing 2 stars because the dentist itself tries their best. I recommend looking into a new office manager or scheduling patients with one hour gaps in between to help you with the time management issues. Any future patient if you can go anywhere else, I recommend you doing so.

Negative experience: I waited nearly an hour to be called back for my 1:30pm appointment and I’m still in the chair waiting for the dentist to even come say hello now 1.5 hours after my appointment time. No one apologized for the delay or inconvenience. Save yourself a headache and find another cheap dentist anywhere else

Negative experience: You will wait an hour to get into your appointment or more unless you get there super early in the morning staff/doctors are nice but nobody ever picks up the phone I haven't been able to make an appointment over the phone for a whole month because every time I call nobody answers I leave a voicemail never get a call back and I don't want to have to go and drive over there just to make an appointment and go drive back home

Negative experience: I have filed a malpractice lawsuit due to my quality of life being destroyed after this has now been another 7 months later and all I can say is I went from having tooth pain to hating my life I can't eat still ..I still don't have teeth I can use... I still don't have a smile...you people ruined my life .you got paid but I get nothing but the most awful experience of my life. Well over a year to get dentures. Teeth were pulled 12/22/22 dentures on 12/21/23.... all to still not be satisfied or done ... Still don't fit correctly and give headaches after a couple of hours of wear . I have made 20 plus trips to no avail ( 45 minutes each way).. nothing ever got better ..just me spending lots of time and gas money. I finally accepted that they are obviously not qualified and that they don't care about patients

Negative experience: On 8/19/22 Dr.Fatima Shukr was meant to add fillings to all four very back molars on my teeth. During my visit she was very distracted and unprofessional. She did not open my mouth far enough which resulted in her filling my second to back molar on my left side which had no cavities . As a result of this the cavity on my back molar was left unfilled and she had drilled into a healthy tooth causing permanent nerve damage. I am unable to eat nuts or anything hard on the left side now without experiencing excessive pain. I have suffered physically and emotionally from her dental malpractice. I have been extremely reluctant to have routine dental care done in fear that malpractice like this will occur again. I can only hope that another patient of here has spoken up and that she has lost her licence in dentistry. For two years I have tried to ignore the pain this event has caused. I have dental records/x-rays which prove her negligence.

The people that used to work there were the best now they got a dentist that says he’s the best dentist that they have and he treats you like you’re a child will I ever go to Destiny dental again absolutely not unless they get rid of him.

Negative experience: Wow, just got off the phone with the receptionist "Stacey" Holy Moly. She was really rude. I told her we were a new patient, and she kept saying we don't have you in our system. That she was confused. After all that, l said we would go elsewhere.

Negative experience: UPDATE: After the comment/message below, I did reach out to the email address provided and indicated I'd be open to discussing the issue with them. I reached out 10 days ago, and haven't gotten any reply. I began seeing a dentist at Destiny Dental over a year ago after moving to the area from out of state. I really like the dentist that I have been seeing. She's great - thorough, personable, and I really enjoyed seeing her. Unfortunately, we have experienced numerous issues with their customer service/administrative management. Last year, I was scheduled for an appointment for a regular cleaning. I got a text saying that my appointment needed to be rescheduled and to call to get rescheduled. I called and left a message, and never heard back. I called several times over the course of 3+ months, and when I hit 6 months from when I was supposed to have my 6 month cleaning, I finally went in person and the person got me scheduled, and I have since not experienced any issues getting in touch with staff when I call, so I was ok with giving them another chance. A few months ago this year, I started a new job, which involved changing insurance. At the time of benefits enrollment, I specifically called to talk to someone and determine which of the two dental insurance options available would work for us to continue seeing our dentist there. I was assured both plans would work, so I chose one. Now, months later, and the Friday before my Monday (already rescheduled from my dentist being out of the office 2 months ago) appointment I get a call telling me they do not accept this insurance, and the person I talked to at the time was new, and gave me incorrect information even though the notes clearly state I was up front and specific about what each plan was. I understand things happen, but this is a BIG error, and the only option I was offered for a mistake I did not make was to come in and pay out of pocket. It's really frustrating, and I'm bummed, but we will be going elsewhere, unfortunately.

Negative experience: Do your selves all a favor unless there is no other option then Destiny Dental because if you think you will be treated with understanding,care and the willingness to help,well im sad to say ? I was lied too by a so called Dentist who told me when I get there waiver that they gave me signed to proceed by my Doctor that gave them the ok ...the" OK " to remove these teeth that can cause more issue by leaving them there and cause infection and known to cause death..You know how I was treated? Not with care and understanding ,,but called a Liability to my face..and was treated as If I was lying to them.They didn't even call my Doctor at all?Who treats people that way? Destiny Dental thats who!Had to give 1 star to post this otherwise there would be a negative to star 5

Negative experience: I went there only because I couldn't find any other dentists who took Medicaid. From the moment I walked in I felt a bad vibe but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Well, they either lied about checking my insurance or they checked my insurance and lied to me because they told me everything was covered and I later got a bill for the x-rays. Then they told me I had two cavities which I found very hard to believe. I cant remember the last time I had a cavity and I haven't changed anything about my oral hygiene routine. I made a follow up appointment for fillings and a cleaning, but before that appointment came I learned I would be losing the Medicaid so I decided to cancel and find a better dentist once my new insurance kicked in. I found a dentist recommended by someone I know personally and what do you know, I have no cavities. Definitely do not recommend a place that tells such blatant lies. I know it's hard to find a dentist if you have Medicaid, but definitely find somewhere else. EDIT: I call them out for flat-out lying and they apologize for "missing the mark". That's hilarious.

Negative experience: Worst dental experience we've ever had. Sadly, the dentists here are great. The staff/office manager are an absolute nightmare. Cancelled appointments repeatedly, even after confirming the appointments with us. Denied our insurance months after accepting our insurance. Office manager told me- "We don't make mistakes in this office."- clearly not the case. Done doing the dance.

Negative experience: I wanted to wait to write my review as I came here first before deciding on a second opinion at U of M dental school. I get my teeth cleaned at Jackson college and was told there that I had 1 cavity. So I made an appointment with destiny dental. I came 30 minutes ahead of my scheduled appointment…waited to be seen for 2 and half hours. It’s clear they overbook their patients and will take anyone last minute. After finally getting in, I got my X-rays done and the dental assistant was very sweet. The dentist himself, however, seemed frantic and tired. I was then told that I had 13 cavities?!?! Obviously I was shocked. The dentist was pretty rude and condescending. He tried to scare me by “showing me the cavities (turns out they where decay and not full blown cavities). Told me that if I go to a birthday party not to also eat the cake….like sir I’m a 28 year old women, not a child. He then told me the bill would be a couple thousand dollars. When I asked if we could do 1 or 2 cavities at a time, that was something he said he didn’t like to do. He did not stay to ask me questions but left to go see the next patient. When I asked the assistant how the college could have missed 12 cavities, she sheepishly told me that I don’t actually have 12 extra cavities but rather a little bit a decay on these teeth that they prefer to take care of. Okay yeah no thank you! I went to U of M dental clinic where I only had 3 cavities total and they took their time explaining things to me and asking me questions. They also let me break up appointments so I wasn’t paying all at once. All this to say this place is very scammy….I assume Medicaid will just pay the bill of all the “cavities” so this is why they can count decay as cavities too. And they take any patient that’s unfortunate enough to walk through the door as clearly this system has more to do with money than patient care. If you have Medicaid and can get it for free I guess sure. But for everyone else…save yourself time and money. U of M dental school was fantastic!

Fantastic experience: Mona and Dr zheng were awesome! Mona has an awesome personality. Dr zheng is very patient. I love the pair and because of them I will continue my care at destiny dental!

Fantastic experience: I have severe anxiety going to the dentist since my old dentist ruined my teeth. Thanks to assistant Ahjah and Doctor Laith they have made my appointments and all dental work a breeze. If it wasn’t for these 2 I would not have my teeth looking the way they do! Thank you both

Negative experience: Wife went into Destiny Dental at Jackson Crossing for a basic filling, after waiting 2 hours to get into room, the dentist way over dosed anesthesia, wife had a panic attack, couldn't breath, or swallow and said to take her outside, basically person that went outside with her, left my wife alone after saying she'd come back to check on her, 3 minutes later that same person came out with her boss and said to not come back to Destiny, and never returned to ensure she was ok. Wife was sick to her stomach, nauseated, passed out, vomited in front of wet bench she was left at, I am very unpleased with this, she could stopped breathing, anything could of happened. No one from Destiny tried to call me to let know anything went wrong. I would strongly not recommend Destiny Dental.

Fantastic experience: Such a great atmosphere! Beth at the front desk was so nice and welcoming.. she was also very fast at checking me in and scheduling my next appointment. The assistants always greet me with a smile and are all so kind every time I come in. My favorite is Simone!! She has a contagious smile and she works so hard! The doctors do amazing work too and make sure I’m comfortable with the treatment I need. The manager Kelsey is very lovely too.. this place is just amazing all around.

Fantastic experience: I was at Destiny Dental for most of the morning today. The staff was all wonderful, very helpful, and professional. I had talked with the receptionist, Stacey, a few times before coming in. She was extremely nice and willing to help me get my needs met. Sarah was the Dentist’s assistant. She was very pleasant and made sure I was comfortable and understood everything. Dr Pooja was my dentist and was terrific. I can’t say enough good about the office and all the staff.

Negative experience: Don't waste your time. The office is very unorganized, have significant delays, makes last minute appointment changes and then must take exrays which are only covered by insurance periodically so can't clean my teeth today which insurance would pay. I walked out on my second new patient appointment as I waited over an hour the first time and had to reschedule with still 3 more patients ahead of me. So it would have been hours more. This after waiting 5 months for the appointment!

Fantastic experience: Dr Pooja and Nurse Monica are the best. They are very attentive and caring. Dr Pooja communicates very well with each step. Monica is super sweet and friendly as well.

Fantastic experience: I recently brought my elderly mother here for an evaluation and extraction. The staff were all so kind and patient with her which made her experience a positive one. I cannot thank the team enough for their professionalism and kindness.

Negative experience: I have been calling for over a week to schedule an appointment and no one answers. I also filled out an appointment request on their website and no one has gotten back to me. I am an established patient as well.

Fantastic experience: I arrived so nervous! They calmed me down. Accommodated my need for a stuffy. Listened to my concerns and made sure I was comfortable. Doctor Laith with his super hero side kick Ahjah are the ones to go to for dental care.

Negative experience: Had to change my review thanks to their Hygienist Crystal. I'm afraid I'm no longer going to recommend this place for cleanings, not unless the hygienist learns to keep her comments to herself. I went in to get a cleaning, not a lecture. My son is no concern of hers and just because my teeth are bad doesn't mean his will be! On a more positive note, the dentist who did my 16 month old sons check up did a great job according to my husband. Waiting times are getting rather bad.

Negative experience: This place..... This was my absolute last choice of a dentist in our area that fit our insurance plan, now I know why.... They are notorious for canceling and I don't mean just once, 4 times for me and once for my husband and son. Screw me once, shame on you and screw me twice, shame on me. I have never in my life had a dentist cancel as much in 6 months than I have had with this place. The one time they called me while I was sitting in the parking lot with 30 min before my appointment and canceled than the next they texted me the day before my appointment and canceled, wasn't professional and called, just texted! This place is unreliable and trust me if you have good private insurance than save your time and avoid this fast food dentist. There are plenty of good running and professional dentists out there and this place is not whatsoever. They don't even deserve 1 star, do better Destiny..........

Fantastic experience: After 10 years of neglecting my dental needs I went to Destiny Dental in Jackson and found my new dentist office! I too stopped going to the dentist because of past 'bad' experiences with other dentists. From the first call, meeting the front desk staff, and finally the visits with Dr. Guinall and his team was everything I'd hoped it to be. Seriously, my teeth were a mess and they all worked together to make my dental experiences with them comfortable, and not scary. I never had a dentist work on my teeth, extractions included without feeling pain until Dr. Guinall. He's the best dentist I've ever met, and his personality and kindness are an extra bonus. Thank you Destiny Dental of Jackson for EVERYTHING!

Negative experience: I’ve tried really hard not to leave a bad review. I’ve been here multiple times. This office can’t keep staff nor doctors. It’s like a training facility, you never know who you seeing. I am looking for a professional dental office that values their patients because certainly this place doesn’t. There is so much I can say but I’ll rather just find another office.

Fantastic experience: They were all so nice and patient with me, the assistant, emily, was super sweet, Dr.Laith was very nice and the manager,leann, did extra digging for me so that we could find my insurance. I appreciate all of them, and i would definitely recommend this place to people.

Negative experience: Have a tooth broken in half with exposed nerves. They canceled my appointment to fix it the day before after I had to wait a month to get in. Have been calling since then to reschedule for weeks and can’t get thru to anyone.

Negative experience: I made an appointment for a decaying tooth. They were making appointments months out. The tooth is now broken in half and i have been calling for 2 weeks at least 5 times a day. No one ever answers the phone. And the machine specifically states DO NOT leave a message We Wil Not Respond. Sooooo What are patients supposed to do???

Negative experience: They cancelled my first appointment with less than 48 hr notice because their doctor changed offices. Second appointment I was supposed to be able to have broken teeth extracted and all they wanted to do was x rays because they were short on time. Lies to get customers! The won't just pull your teeth out if you need them pulled. They want multiple visits over long times. This office will say whatever it takes to get you in the door and get that insurance money. Also it is not a clean office at all. It felt gross. Smelled musty. A dental office should look and smell clean.

Negative experience: Haven’t had a good experience yet. I had an apt year and called ahead of time to tell them I was sick but had been to the drs and wasn’t contagious anymore could I still come in? They told me yes. Tell me why I get there and wait 2 hours and get to the back just for them to tell me I couldn’t be seen. Ridiculous.

Negative experience: Went here for a filling and had the worst experience ever. I wasn’t numbed correctly and when I told them they brushed it off and said they would give it a few more mins to fully kick in. They proceeded to do the dental work and I kept raising my hand as instructed to do so if I felt any pain. After about the 3rd time of raising my hand because I was in excruciating pain, they ignored me and proceeded to do the dental work anyway. I was screaming and crying. They laughed and talked about me being a baby, and mind you I actually have a high pain tolerance and im not one to be vulnerable or and show my pain. But I was in extreme pain and they dismissed it and made me feel bad about it. The only reason why I didn’t walk out of that chair was because my tooth was exposed and I didn’t want unfinished work. They did a poor job anyway because the filling fell out not even a week later. 0/0 I would NOT recommend. They don’t respect you. They don’t listen to you. They only want your money. They don’t care.

Fantastic experience: 22 years since I've been to the dentist because of a trauma and age 12. I obviously need a lot of work done. My evaluation/xrays went flawless. The ladies upfront and the technicians in the back kept me calm through my anxiety. I went and had 2 fillings and 3 extractions just to my top left. Zero pain and slight discomfort the following 3 days, which I couldn't believe myself. I have 2 more sessions coming and I'm not worried. Thanks guys for excellent service and your positive attitudes.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient at Destiny Dental for 6+ months. In that time, I’ve lost two teeth through negligence and poor work. It feels like patients are used as an experiment for young dentists to get work experience at the expense of the low-income people and families in their care. I’m currently in severe pain from the last procedure that was performed and haven’t been able to get into the office for 6 weeks even though the infection is seriously, negatively affecting my day-to-day life and causing a mental health crisis. They claim to take emergency appointments, but don’t even when the situation calls for one. This is the worst turnover I’ve ever experienced at an establishment in which I’m a patient. There’s new staff every time I go in. Do not go here, they don’t care about your health and don’t see you as a person.

Positive experience: I had little issue with my visit. The wait took a while, but under the conditions of weather and the simple fact that you can’t put a specific time limit on certain procedures, it’s to be expected. Aside from the crew is polite, kind, and patient with some of us patients with questions. Destiny Dental has had my business twice and the third is already lined up. I’d like to thank them for alleviating my issues and finding a two week earlier slot for me as well.

Fantastic experience: Over my many years on this earth, I can honestly say my relationships with the dental community has been challenging to say the least. Recently, I changed providers to Destiny Dental which is located in the Jackson Crossing Mall, Jackson, MI. I was assigned to DDS Tom Guinall. He is amazing. During the initial exam he was very thorough and honest and showed a genuine interest in me as a person in addition to the current state of my overall dental health. In times past and with other providers I always felt I was being "up sold." I was scheduled for a follow up cleaning and cavity repair. There was virtually no wait time, a testimony to the staff and I have to say the repair was done with NO PAIN. Dr. Guinall did the cleaning as well. Again, at the 2nd appointment, I found Dr. Guinall to be engaging on both a personal and professional level. I would highly recommend Dr. Guinall and I have, to anyone desiring top notch dental care.

Negative experience: Appointments here take a long time. I waited over an hour past my appt time before the dentist came in. Everyone was nice enough. I was referred for a root canal to a place pretty far away and told it was the closest that accepts my insurance, a quick search on my insurance website shows an office right here in town that accepts my insurance and can do the job. I was told my options were root canal and crown or extraction. When I said no extraction I was quoted almost $1200 for root canal and crown and told most insurance doesn't cover root canals and when I asked about crown coverage they said it depends. This is 100% false. A quick Google search tells you a root canal is a common procedure that is covered by most insurances, the same for crowns. I got the feeling they wanted to push me to extract my tooth so they would collect the bill instead of referring me to another dentist for the root canal. I will not be returning to this office.

Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment in September. Had to wait almost a month and when I showed up they told me my appointment was canceled because the dentist wasn’t in. They claimed they called me and left a voicemail but I never once received a call or any kind of message. I was nice about it and had the woman reschedule my appointment. I had to wait until October, another month of being in pain. I went to my appointment today and showed up only ten minutes prior to my appointment and explained that there was construction on the highway, which is why I was a little late. Mind you, I was still there ten minutes before my scheduled appointment. They proceed to tell me that they CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT because I was late and they accepted a walk-in!! So you’re telling me because I’m FIVE MINUTES LATE FOR “FILLING OUT PAPERWORK” YOURE GOING TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT THAT IVE BEEN WAITING 2 MONTHS FOR??!!! I walked out. Completely unacceptable! So I have to continue to be in pain and find a dentist office that takes my insurance. I have never had an experience like this at any doctor/dentist office and I highly recommend anyone considering this place finds somewhere else to go, so you’re not treated as I was. They didn’t even apologize to me!! Either time!!! This place is also always filthy. Great place to have someone work in your mouth, right? My rating is actually ZERO STARS.

Negative experience: This place is the Walmart of dentist offices. The receptionist is rude, people fighting in the waiting room with the staff doing nothing to help control the situation, and they think nothing of making you wait an hour past your appointment time. This place is a JOKE. 0/10 would NOT recommend.
