Negative experience: I would give 0 stars if I could. The Smile Spa of North Jersey has, without a doubt, the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They made me book three separate appointments, only for me to show up and be told that my appointment wasn't in their system, that I needed to call back later, or that I had to come back on another day. Every visit was a complete waste of my time. On top of that, I was left waiting for over an hour several times. When I politely asked about the wait, I was met with nothing but attitude. I was told, word for word, "I don't care, he can wait forever." That level of disrespect toward a patient is completely unacceptable. The behavior of the staff was rude, dismissive, and incredibly unprofessional. I've never experienced such poor treatment at any medical or dental office. Patients deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, and unfortunately that was completely lacking here. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office to anyone.

Negative experience: I had OK experience honestly when I first visited the doctor with my children. The tension between the doctor and the front desk girl was very apparent. It didn’t bother me because I went there to have my children teeth cleaned. When the doctor told me my daughter’s teeth needed to be pulled out the front desk girl told me to take my children somewhere else if their teeth needed to be pulled out because this is not a good doctor. I didn’t like the way the doctor treated my daughter verse my son. So I changed my children’s doctor and the new doctor wanted my daughter’s x-ray but Smile Spa wouldn’t give me. when I called the front desk girl took my information and told me they will be away from the office for next two weeks and when they return Someone will call me back as there was nobody in the office that day other than her. I clearly remember the day when I took my children, there was nobody else working in the office other than her and the guy who took the x-ray in the Doctor so she was the only person working in the front desk. So a month passes by. Nobody calls me. Nobody emails me so I walked into the office and found an elderly man and and that lady who started working in there. It was her first day of work. They tried pulling the chart but they couldn’t find it so the doctor came out and told me they will email me my daughter‘s X-ray the next morning. She also mentioned most likely I have a balance that’s why the girl didn’t send me the x-ray and I told the doctor I paid $200 as “copayment” which I found out later I didn’t have to pay. Anyways So the next day I checked my email, but did not get anything so I called them back and the same front desk girl picked up. She told me there was nobody else in the office that day other than her and they will be away from the office for next two weeks. The same story again and she was only there to take appointments. She didn’t even bother taking in I for. I asked her again and again if she could pull out my daughter’s chart and send me the x-ray but keep saying I cannot pull out my daughter‘s chart. She was I have the computer front of me , and im only here to take appointments not send anyone anything when she could just email me. It only take two mints to do the job . She was extremely rude and disrespectful. It was very clear the girl didn’t want to do any work and she was telling me the same story told me a month ago. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could give zero. Don’t waste your time there people.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE. This was the absolute worst experience at a dentist that I have ever experienced. I don’t waste my time with writing bad reviews but this one deserves it. I came here and the dentist was beyond terrible, she not only tried to sell me on a $700 teeth whitening and gum strengthening treatment within minutes (not needed) but also charged my credit card without my approval. The office told me it was $75 for my cavity filling, which I paid the day of, and I woke up the next morning with a $350 charge that I never approved. I had asked the office why the claim wasn’t sent to my insurance first and asked MULTIPLE times for a detailed billing statement which they never provided. My insurance company filed a complaint and grievance against the office, and I fought the charges with my credit card company. Then to make matters worse, when I tried to go to a new dentist, this office LOST my x rays and would not reverse their claim. I spent over two months calling them, and my insurance company calling too. They made up one excuse after another, and never produced the x-rays. This place is an absolute joke and this dentist is a fraud. Save yourselves the headache and go ANYWHERE but here. The other terrible reviews should have been my warning but I didn’t have a choice at the time. Not to mention read the yelp reviews, that should say enough- 1.5 stars!

Negative experience: We had very upsetting experience with this dental office. During my mother’s visit, a foreign object was found in her mouth, which is extremely concerning and unacceptable. We were told she would receive a referral to an oral surgeon, but we are still waiting with no follow-up. The staff was rude and dismissive, and our calls were never returned. The lack of communication and professionalism made an already stressful situation even worse. I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking reliable or compassionate care.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient of Dr. Rosenblatt at The Smile Spa of North Jersey for over 20 years, and I truly can’t say enough positive things. She has kept my smile bright and healthy the entire time, and I never miss my regular 6-month visits. Beyond routine care, her cosmetic bleaching treatments are outstanding—far superior to anything you can buy over the counter. The results are always noticeable and long-lasting. And the best part? Ending each visit with gelato—what other dentist does that? Dr. Rosenblatt, I’ll see you again soon. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I visited this dental office today for my first-time patient appointment for routine checkup and cleaning, and I had a very unsettling experience. First, when I called to make the appointment, the assistant did not inform me about any copay or expected payment. When I arrived, I waited for about an hour before being seen. Once I was taken in, a male dental assistant took a photo of me (like an ID photo) without asking for my consent. When I asked why he was taking my picture, he said the doctor wanted it. Then the doctor came in, examined my teeth, and told me I would need to pay over $100. I explained that my insurance should cover everything, but she insisted that everyone has to pay this amount. During the exam, she briefly checked my teeth using basic dental tools (a hook and mirror) and her assistant took photos using an iPad. Before the assistant proceeded further with putting on the X-ray protective apron, the doctor came in and asked whether I wanted to proceed or wait to confirm with insurance. At that point, I decided not to continue and asked them to check with my insurance first. In the end, they only did a very quick basic check and took a few photos with iPad , and I was charged $50. They told me that was all I needed to pay for the day. Since I no longer felt comfortable continuing as a patient there, I asked to get my intake forms back. They refused to return them, and when I asked for a copy, they also refused. I even offered to simply take photos of the forms, and they still refused. At that point which is at around 9:30am, they told me they were closing, would only accept emergency patients, and asked me to leave. They said if I did not leave, they would call the police. I tried to resolve the situation calmly by asking if we could call the insurance company together to clarify the charges and get a proper breakdown. Instead, they began saying that each photo they took by using iPad could cost $75 and that they had already given me a discount by only charging $50 for all they just did this morning. When I continued trying to understand the charges, they again told me to leave immediately or they would call the police. I am honestly thankful that I decided to leave before they proceeded any further, because I have no idea how much more they might have charged me. On top of that, the office and treatment rooms did not feel clean. If there are any further updates, I will leave additional comments. This was one of the most terrible and uncomfortable experiences I have ever had at a dental office.

I had a dental emergency on Good Friday (when most offices are closed) and woke up in a significant amount of pain. Dr. Rosenblatt was incredibly accommodating and made time to help me right away. Thanks to her, my issue was quickly addressed, and I now have a clear plan moving forward. I’m beyond grateful—I can actually enjoy the holiday with my friends and family instead of dealing with pain. I can’t recommend The Smile Spa of North Jersey and Dr. Rosenblatt enough. She went out of her way to do a root canal and build a new temp tooth. I had a smile in 2 days. I’m thrilled. Also her staff is polite and very helpful . Excellent

Negative experience: THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM DO NOT COME HERE!! SCAMMED $700!!!!! I came to simply get my teeth cleaned and shockingly was told that I had “plaque underneath my gums” and that I needed some gel that gets underneath the gum to get rid of it. I specifically asked if this was medically necessary procedure and afterwards for the FISA documents. I was told by Dr. Rosenblatt that this was a MEDICALLY NECESSARY procedure and specifically that a SIDE EFFECT was that the teeth will whiten. I come home to a tube that reads “Poladay 35% Carbamide Peroxide Gel advanced teeth whitening system.” I immediately called the front desk and was only told ONLY then that it was a COSMETIC procedure, not medical and that it would have to be paid out of pocket. DR. ROSENBLATT TOLD ME IT WAS A MEDICALLY NECESSARY PROCEDURE BUT IT WAS A TEETH WHITENING GEL FOR LESS THAT $40 ON AMAZON!!!! SHE MADE ME PAY HER $700!! This place is beyond a scam, unprofessional, and poorly run. Run the other way, don’t look back, and read all the reviews. Even the 5 star ones really get into how horrible this place is.

Negative experience: I had a very disturbing experience at The Smile Spa of North Jersey LLC with Dr. Debra Rosenblatt. I was referred only for gum treatment. However, I was charged $680 for teeth whitening, which was not clearly explained or requested as my primary concern. Later, a root canal was performed, but another dental clinic confirmed through X-rays that the work was incomplete and improperly done. Unfortunately, my tooth had to be extracted as a result. Additionally, multiple insurance claims were submitted under Dr. Peter Tsambazis, a dentist I never personally met. Payments were requested using printed “co-pay” amounts before full explanations were given. My insurance later denied several of these claims due to billing issues. This experience caused me permanent tooth loss, financial burden, and severe stress. I strongly recommend extreme caution.

You could say I’m a “boomerang” patient — after not seeing Dr. Rosenblatt for five years, I returned due to a major toothache and dissatisfaction with my previous dentist. Dr. Rosenblatt immediately relieved my pain and resolved the issue with care and professionalism. She also set me up on a six-month cleaning schedule to help prevent any future problems. I’m so happy to be back at the Smile Spa!

Fantastic experience: When I think of Dr. Debra Rosenblatt and The Smile Spa of North Jersey, one word comes to mind — FANTASTIC! I came to The Smile Spa as an emergency patient after waking up with unbearable tooth pain — the kind you wouldn’t wish on anyone. Even though it was a long holiday weekend, Dr. Rosenblatt saw me right away and got me out of pain immediately. I’ll admit I’m not the easiest patient since I get nervous at the dentist, but Dr. Rosenblatt made me feel completely at ease. Her kindness, professionalism, and skill are unmatched. The Smile Spa has gained a patient for life, and I’ll be recommending Dr. Rosenblatt and her team to all my friends and family!

Negative experience: I went to the “Doctor” today for my annual cleaning and toothache that I had gotten over the weekend. All of which is covered by my insurance with $0 copay! After waiting for nearly an hour after my 12:00 appointment, I was finally seen by the dentist. Once I was brought into the exam room, they subjected me to a photo at the door… not sure why. Once in the room, they had me take more photos and wanted to take x-rays (also which is covered by my insurance). Dr. Debra Rosenblatt came into the room for a few minutes and walked back out. She probably did this 3-4 times throughout my visit for 5-10 mins at a time. By the end of my visit, she was trying to get me to get a gum-graph, remove a tooth, get an implant, and get braces. I went there for a teeth cleaning, which was in my opinion, barely even completed compared to past dentist offices. She also never even visited the tooth ache that I had. Her suggestion was to shave the tooth down a little so that I wouldn’t bite on it. At the end of the visit, they give you gelato and have a bowl of candy at the check out desk. Kind of weird for a dentist, no? The worst part about all of this is they charged me $250 for service when it should have all been covered by my insurance. I questioned it, and the lady at the desk said she had to check with the doctor. When she came back, she said, “No, that's what the doctor said.” I called my insurance company and found out that this should have all been covered. I reached back out to this facility after and the receptionist tried to tell me that they charged me less than I should have been charged, and the “doctor” will call me tomorrow. I will be contacting my bank, the Better Business Bureau, and the state tomorrow to get this all corrected. My recommendation is to stay far away!! PS they force you into writing a review at the end of your visit, and this is my honest review!

They were warm, professional, and took the time to walk me through my treatment plan. I’ll admit—I hadn’t been to the dentist in quite some time due to some negative past experiences. However, from the moment I walked in, Dr. Rosenblatt made me feel completely at ease. She thoroughly explained my treatment plan and even introduced me to the teeth bleaching services they offer, which I’m excited to try to brighten my smile. The professionalism, warmth, and care I received have made a lasting impression. I've already scheduled appointments for my entire family, and I’m confident we’ve found our dental home. The Smile Spa of North Jersey has gained a patient for life!

Negative experience: If I had a choice for no stars I would have chose that. This was the worst dentist experience of my life and I’m 69! I couldn’t even get the routine exam and cleaning covered by my insurance without being told they charge $100 more. I was so uncomfortable I had to leave without getting a cleaning. I went home and filed a formal complaint with Aetna. Do not use Dr Rosenblatt it’s a scam and a ripoff

Negative experience: I had one of the worst dental experiences of my life with Dr. Debora Rosenblatt. From start to finish, the cleaning was rough, painful, and completely unprofessional. The procedure took over an hour and a half—with multiple unexplained ten-minute breaks where Dr. Rosenblatt would simply disappear. I was left in the chair in discomfort and confusion. After the cleaning, I experienced extreme gum and tooth pain that lasted for days. She was cold, rude, and had a disturbingly poor bedside manner—by far the worst I’ve ever encountered. Throughout the visit, she spoke incredibly fast, making it nearly impossible to understand the treatments she was trying to explain. This seemed deliberate, especially when she tried to push an unnecessary procedure that would’ve cost me over $675. I couldn’t help but feel like I was being scammed. To make matters worse, she billed my insurance for everything, including “dental instructions,” which was literally a ten-second comment to floss. This feels incredibly unethical and frankly reeks of insurance fraud. Do yourself a favor and do not come here. I left feeling shaken, in pain, and completely taken advantage of.

Negative experience: I was scheduled for a routine dental cleaning with Dr. Debra Rosenblatt, and it turned into one of the most stressful and uncomfortable dental experiences I’ve ever had. My appointment was at 9:00 AM, but I wasn’t seen until 10:20 AM, with no explanation or apology for the delay. I spent over an hour in the waiting room, and nearly another hour sitting in the chair—only to be told the doctor would not be completing my cleaning because she no longer wanted to see me. Dr. Rosenblatt had a terrible bedside manner. She was cold, abrupt, and seemed completely disinterested in making me feel comfortable. She left the room multiple times, each for about ten minutes, and offered no communication or reassurance during the process. I felt incredibly anxious and dismissed in the few short minutes I interacted with her. To be told by the office manager—not even the doctor herself—that my appointment was being cut short was incredibly unprofessional and upsetting. I’ve never felt this much anxiety at a dentist or been treated with such a lack of care or respect. The one positive note: the dental assistant was wonderful. He was kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about his work. Unfortunately, that alone is not enough to make up for the overall experience. Please do not come here—I would not wish this level of stress and poor treatment on anyone seeking routine dental care.

Negative experience: Don’t visit this place they just rip your money. I use the dentist service for which they charged $1000 Without any breakup but still I paid upfront. My insurance company paid the amount but they have not return my money back which am still following up.

Negative experience: I had a deeply disappointing and painful experience with Dr. Rosenblatt, DDS—one of the worst dental visits I’ve ever had. I initially went in due to dental pain and was subjected to nearly two hours of X-rays on all of my teeth, which felt excessive. This was followed by an uncomfortable and aggressive examination that left my gums bleeding heavily. The treatment itself was excruciating. Dr. Rosenblatt drilled into my teeth without adequately managing my pain, and the entire experience felt rushed and careless. On top of that, the office was noticeably unclean and had a strong, unpleasant odor—like vinegar and something sour—which only added to the discomfort. After the visit, I repeatedly contacted the office to request copies of my X-rays, but I never received a response. It’s now been a year since my appointment, and I’ve already had to have her work redone due to broken fillings and ongoing pain. I strongly advise others to avoid this practice. My experience suggests that they prioritize profit over patient care, and I left with more problems than I came in with.

Negative experience: Don't waste your time going to this place. First visit, the dentist never explained what she was going to do and told me to pay $700. The bill I was given had no breakdown of what was done. I asked for my xrays to go to another dentist and Rosenblatt said I owed her money. How do I owe money when I paid every bill presented in full. This place is a rip off. Find somewhere, find anywhere else. Wherever it is it'll be a hundred times better and more organized than this office.

Negative experience: I would not recommend anyone go here. I was supposed to be reimbursed for the amount a paid for a regular visit. The Smile Spa repeatedly told me it was up to my insurance company to reimburse me. When I spoke with my insurance company, they informed me the Smile Spa had never even filed a claim. When I called the Smile Spa to discuss this, they repeatedly told me the person I needed to speak to was out of the office. This continued FOR MONTHS and I had to call them DOZENS of times (they never returned any of my messages) before the situation was resolved. Just horrible

Negative experience: Will never return! Dentist was rough and caused excessive blood loss. Office may be a potential scam as well! They advised me that my insurance would not cover anything and stated that I had to pay out of pocket for an annual cleaning, X-Rays, etc. I was also advised to pay in advance for a procedure that was going to occur at my next appointment. When I told them that I would pay on the day of the procedure, I was advised to pay at least $100 towards it and could not leave without payment. I then proceeded to ask if I could pay once insurance was ran through and they continued to state that my insurance would not pay anything. They further stated that it was $115 per side of the mouth as per the cleaning. I had gone to the dentist to fix a crown that had fallen out, and that was not even done. She had only taken X-rays and HALF a cleaning! I called my insurance afterwards and my insurance stated that they do cover an annual visit plus more. Additionally, they make you do a review while in the office. I just edited mine now.

Negative experience: Dr. Rosenblatt opened a credit card in my wife’s name with a charge of $7,000 without her authorization or knowledge after telling her that our insurance wouldn't cover the work she needed. A week later she made another charge to the credit card for $6,200 after getting my wife to sign a contract by stating the $6,200 would be the credit limit on the card. At no time was my wife informed that they would be billing $6,200 to the card and putting us in debt for $13,200 for work that had not been completed or been given a breakdown of work scheduled to be performed at a later date. The Smile Spa received $13,200 from the credit card company for work they did not do. Dr. Rosenblatt has not billed any claims to our insurance company despite being an in network dentist and required to submit all claims for review and payment. When questioned as to my they weren't billing my wife’s claims they stated that bleaching wasn't covered by insurance but she did not have bleaching done. Per other Yelp reviews this if a common scam she does to her patients. On the same day the Smile Spa opened the credit card, in my wife’s name without authorization, she gave them her credit card to pay for the work that was completed but instead they charged $139.95 for a year subscription to a company called Dentist Friendly which helps people who do not have insurance. When I contacted Dentist Friendly they informed me that The Smile Spa opened the account without a signed contract and that there had been no activity on the account since it was opened. They agreed to provide a partial refund. We contacted the Smile Spa many times over the months following the opening of the credit card with the two fraudulent charges but could never get them to do a charge back as promised. When initially confronted about the charges in December of 2023 they admitted they were submitted by mistake and would be taken care of but that never happened. We were forced to make a complaint with the BBB which Dr. Rosenblatt never responded to. We also made complaint with the Attorney General & the NJ Board of Dentistry as well as with the CFPB. All complaints are being investigated. We were also able to open a Merchant Dispute with the credit card company but it was closed when the woman in charge of third party payment plans sent a contract with the signature from a different contract on it. She also lied on a legal document stating my wife took out money on two separate occasions but didn't provide a breakdown showing that the money they received is the exact amount of work that was done. Apparently she thinks the Smile Spa just gets to keep the money without actually earning it. While researching a possible lawsuit against Dr. Rosenblatt & the Smile Spa for fraud and insurance fraud we learned about a lawsuit brought by a former employee concerning the same claims detailed above during the same time period as my wife’s situation. We had Delta Dental do an investigation and the Smile Spa failed to send any medical records to prove what work was done and the cost of the work that was completed. At this time we have paid $4055 in payments and interest charges towards dental work that was never done. We are hoping the between the merchant dispute, the Board of Dentistry complaint and getting my insurance company involved we will be able to recover some of the money as well as cancel the remaining balance that is still over $10,000. The credit card company has two open disputes now to prove that we received services/goods in the amount they paid the dentist.

Negative experience: DO NOT COME HERE! This is the most painful dentist experience that I have ever had. The assistant didn't speak English, the dentist herself spoke so quickly and did not explain things except negatively in regards to my decayed, gums and teeth. After poking and proding them PAINFULLY, with me whincing. Only to tell me what services I "should" pay for but couldn't give me prices. As I stated before, the worst experience ever, I don't understand how this dentist is still in practice. ONCE AGAIN! DO NOT COME HERE!

Positive experience: I'm shocked reading the reviews but my experience was VERY different. Frist time going there, due to the office being in-network with my insurance, I made an appointment for a consultation because a previous dentist said I needed a root canal for a cavity in my one of my premolars. I walked into the office, I was greeted professionally. I can admit it was a lot of forms to fill out and sign, but that's in any office. Fast forward to when I was sitting in the chair to be seen, the doctor came in, she went right into work and explained to me what I needed and honestly... she performed the root canal and it did not hurt one bit. I was shocked that she did it and in a timely manner. She was very insightful and as far I can't complain.

Negative experience: Total Fraud! Found them through my insurance looking for periodontic evaluation. Was seen by Debra Rosenblatt DDS who did a basic evaluation and yearly X-ray, told my gum recession was because I needed orthodontic aligners (nonsense!) and tried to sell me on teeth bleaching to "help with the gums". She did a cleaning even though I did not ask for one and did not give a permission for one. I'm happy with my regular dentist and only went to this place for periodontics, no need for a cleaning from this practice. The whole experience was odd from start to finish, be it the office staff refusing to provide itemized receipt for the services to her bedside manner, to the whole place just cramped and outdated, to her trying to sell me on non-periodontic treatments for gum recession issues. Then received a copy of their insurance claims - they filed for over $1,500 for what was nothing more than basic oral exam with X-rays and a lousy cleaning. And Rosenblatt isn't even a periodontist! 100% believe all the 1-star reviews this place is getting!

Negative experience: I have been going to this dentist for about a year. She is the worst dentist and business person I have ever known in my life. She is also rude and crude. She convinced me to get invisalyns to straighten my teach before my bridge work. She is always closed, cancels appointments frequently so I have not gotten my invisalyn treatments properly. I have investigated and I should be getting them changed every two weeks. She fits me monthly and one of them has broken in my mouth almost causing me to swallow a piece of the plastic. I will be contacting the ADA with a formal complaint against her. Buyer beware

Negative experience: Worst office I had ever been. Went to this Dr. as a recommendation from my insurance. She did a whitening treatment that I didn’t need. I had to pay out of pocket because it wasn’t covered by insurance. She did the first step, i was told to go back 2 weeks after for the second step. they gave me an appointment, I went and the office was closed. Called the next day, never answered. Went twice to the office and it was closed. I never went back. I lost my money and treatment was never completed. So irresponsible and unprofessional.

Negative experience: I did a previous review and had to re-edit. At this time all remains pending. I must say this out loud. Be careful of first impressions. Make sure you read all documents before signing your signature wherever you go in life. If a doctor doesn’t following your insurance policies guidelines regardless of dental coverage whether or not it’s DMO/PPO then it’s not for you. Due my Aetna insurance pick of the liter I ended up seeing her about 6x in July and I must sayy! Aetna DMO has really downgraded our insurance like a third world nation. All the good dentist’s are no longer participating in their DMO policy due to services they no longer cover. At this time, I’m waiting for copayments and a separated bill for 40-services of 2Ds oral facial X-Rays at $75.00 each. In which, dental providers already knows insurance does not cover. I was told it will be sent to my insurance knowingly it wasn’t covered. So, now my services are base on facial X-rays instead of the insurance petty payments for work that’s still not done. We shall see what happens next. I stopped all visits regardless of work needs to be done until all is resolved.

Negative experience: The absolute worst dentist that I have ever been to and that is saying a lot. If you happen to see this review, DO NOT GO. save yourself. I'm being for real. The cast majority of these positive reviews must be fake. You would simply not have a positive experience in this office. Do not be fooled by the receptionist's sweet voice. Yes the receptionist and the dental assistant seem like nice people. But Dr Debra is horrible, and she's the one who's in your mouth. She's not a doctor. She's a snake oil used car salesman. She's so mean. There are a few specific incidents that I wont recall here because I don't want her identifying me from this review. However, I can say some general things. She was verbally abusive. She has absolutely no respect. She spoke very quickly and harshly and then made me feel stupid for not understanding. She suggested a bunch of unnecessary procedures in a sneaky and aggressive way. Yanked my mouth open taut and then blamed me for bleeding. Insulted my oral hygiene. The office has you fill out so much unnecessary and repetitive paperwork. It was such a waste of time. I didn't really learn anything about my mouth. It just ruined my day and sent me into a spiral of depression. I'm never ever going back here. This person made me lose faith entirely in the dental industry. Save yourself time and money. If you want to be treated with even a modicum of respect, stay far away.

Negative experience: This dentist has several complaints against her- all to do with billing and insurance. It is a scam! Dear Attorney General Platkin, Department of Consumer Affairs, American Dental Association, and New Jersey State Board of Dentistry, I am writing to file a formal complaint against Dr. Deborah Rosenblatt and The Smile Spa of New Jersey regarding unethical billing practices and failure to provide requested documentation.. Despite repeated requests, Dr. Rosenblatt and her practice have not provided detailed invoices, or submitted claims to my insurance provider, Healthplex, for services totaling nearly $15,000 that I had to pay out of pocket.. I first encountered issues with Dr. Rosenblatt when seeking treatment for a new bridge for my top teeth. Initially quoted approximately $10,000 out of pocket, I have since paid close to $15,000 without receiving detailed billing information or explanations. Despite being assured that my insurance does cover certain expenses, Dr. Rosenblatt and her practice have failed to submit any claims to Healthplex. Healthplex stated very clearly that she is running a scam. Furthermore, I was unexpectedly charged $2,000 by my Dr. Deborah Rosenblatt's partner without receiving any bills or invoices, charged me for Invisalign treatment that I did not request nor authorize. Additionally, I was informed that I am unable to schedule further appointments until I pay an additional $1,500 out of pocket, despite not receiving any documentation or explanation for these charges. The manager at Healthplex confirmed that there is no reason for Dr. Rosenblatt not to submit claims to my insurance other than potential unethical practices. I am deeply concerned about the unethical billing practices and lack of transparency exhibited by Dr. Rosenblatt and her practice. Despite my attempts to address these issues directly with Dr. Rosenblatt, she has failed to acknowledge or rectify the situation. Look- the DR. Debra is pretty cool, However I have paid thousands of dollars. I asked for an itemized bill & where & when I accepted the Invisalign. I do not mind how my bottom teeth look. So when did I say YES. Truth- you sign papers walking in the door & if everyone must get an Invisalign- that is being deceitful. Easley fought in court. I am on blood thinners & the DR. had me come in for several days in a row- knowing I am off my meds. Guess what- Went to the hospital for the next day & 1/2. Blood was like molasses. I asked for a detail bill & now have not heard from them in 2 weeks. The DR is great at her job but she said to me that my insurance has yet to pay anything, So I decided to pay her a bit more. Another 1000. I called my insurance company last week low & behold they stated they received no billing from her. If that falls on her staff-ok but it is still her job to manage the office. When she told me she have not received any payments from my insurance agent- . She should have checked on it herself. I can work it out with her- but the shady crap has to stop. Oh one time I gave them my credit card to pay $1500, it did not go through, so I wrote a check for the same amount. Then they put both the check & credit card through after I left the office. $3000 GONE- Now I am having quite a bit of extensive work to get implants which I know are costly so again why would I order an Invisalign at $3400? Great points- The DR. knows her stuff. She answers the phone while doing a fill -in. Employees just coming in when they want to. She tries to keep you comfortable during the procedures. Look for an update- if Smile Spa does the right thing. Send me an itemized bill that includes what I paid, what your expecting from the Insurance co- work that must be finished still & estimated cost to finish. Follow me to stay tuned. Negative experience: Whatever you do - AVOID this place at all costs. This dentist scammed my insurance company, butchered my mouth & had terrible bed side manners. She cursed at other patients, was rude and hurt me. She ruined two of my teeth to the point where it has sharp edges and I'll be paying a fortune to fix the damage she caused. She said she gave me a full root canal - but after the procedure she laughed and said it was a partial one and I had to come back. Think again because never again!!!!! The dentist office is unsanitary and is a mess. Anyone with a right mind would walk in and walk right out. The front desk was terrible. After calling non stop for weeks on end, I showed up to the office and requested a copy of my xrays and she called the cops on me to leave because she was "short staffed". The cops pulled me outside and told me that this is not the first time they have called the cops on patients. Apparently they call the cops quite often and have a reputation as the worst dentist in town. This is the shadiest operation and I am disgusted. AVOID THIS PLACE There are plenty of other dentists that will accept your insurance and actually take care of you. Dont say you werent warned!! Dont be like me!!!!

Negative experience: I have nothing positive to say. If there was anything lower than 1 star, that would be most accurate. Most unprofessional dentist or medical doctor I have ever encountered. Had an appointment at 10am. Arrived and the associate had called to notify me doctor had an emergency and wouldn’t be in. She had called me multiple times. The only call I was aware of was the one that came through in my car two minutes before my appointment. The other calls were after I had left my house. Then, while I was there I scheduled an appointment at the same time two days later. When I arrived the office was closed. I waited 15 minutes. A staff member arrived and apologized. She didn’t know if the dentist was coming in. ****Do not proceed until you have located her ridiculously detailed onboarding form on the website that must be completed.**** The only question she forgot to ask was the hour, minute and second when you peed last. There is another dentist, Dr. Patel. right down the street who is professional in every way.

Weeks later they call you asking if you can come on that same day, like what They’re all rude with attitudes from doctor down to the bathroom door!!! The last they did was call gave me appointment at 9am. I got there at 8:38 I waited outside until 9am so I called the office no answer, I gave benefit of the doubt and waited until 9:30am they called me back at 9:40 oh we’re returning your call, I said I had appointment for 9 office is closed, they said we’re in midland office. I told her no one told me that, she said “it’s not my problem “ Do not go here it’s pointless, waste of time and extremely frustrating. Never again.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE. I had two root canals from the Smile Spa of North Jersey (Dr. Debra Rosenblatt, sometimes billed as PETER TSAMBAZIS) beginning April 2022. By the end of June the process was yet to be completed. I paid this office on every visit (which was many times) and was charged over $4000 total. They kept charging me and not explaining the charges as well as not giving me a reason for why I needed to come back so many times. I am convinced they were charging me for services not needed, mistakes by her and her co-worker, and repeated services for those mistakes. In fact, every time I visited one dentist, they would complain about the other. There were things unfinished in my mouth or simply left in my mouth without my knowledge. I was in pain for many months and couldn't use one side of my mouth. I have now been forced to seek care elsewhere and had to retreat these failed root canals. Now, of course, I will be paying more on top of what I already did for the original ones that were failures. Additionally, beginning Feb 2023, I called their office to request a complete itemized bill from my appointments with their office. They replied to me once and told me they would get back to me. They never did. I filed a complaint with the BBB and after several attempts by the BBB to get in touch with them, they never did. I have called and visited their office since then, and still nothing. My insurance company has also called and faxed requests and has not received a reply. DO NOT GO THERE!

Negative experience: Dentist of Nightmares! Dr. Rosenblatt is a scam artist who steals money and lies about the work she performs. Her two office in Hawthorne and midland park are completely unsanitary and the MP office has severe water damage(and probably mold/bacteria growth) throughout. DO NOT GO HERE. *My experience - went for a possible cavity, dr explained that she is performing a root canal AFTER she already started drilling into my tooth (20 mins in). For 1/3 of my procedure I was without anesthesia as it wore off while she was taking breaks to switch between 3 other patients (never changed gloves). The tooth was then poorly filled with temp filling. She eluded that my insurance would not cover and made me pay up front, trapping me to come back and finish the tooth. Took her 2 months to bill my insurance and it was discovered I was over charged $300. In the meantime she canceled 6 of my appointments and tooth remains unfinished. The office has yet to provide billing receipts at mine and the ins company’s request 3 months later.
