Experiencia negativa: I went in for veneers and they ended up placing crowns, which was bad enough to realize after it's too late. Then, I started having severe pain as another reviewer mentioned. I was dismissed and blamed for the pain. I ended up having to see a prosthodontist and periodontist due to her placing the crowns too far into my gums. I just had to have gum surgery and will be scheduling to have replacement of several of the crowns, one that has an overhang which can lead to decay in the future and many others for improper placement. I was advised by several professionals that they would have tried to make it right or refund some money, however, all I got was argumentative attitude and a lack of willingness to discuss options to get some money back. There were other issues including billing etc.

From the moment I walked in, the entire staff was welcoming, kind, and understanding. They took the time to explain everything, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire visit. The level of compassion and professionalism shown by everyone at the office helped ease my fears and made the experience much less stressful than I expected. I truly felt cared for as a patient, not just another appointment on the schedule. I highly recommend Sophisticated Smiles to anyone, especially those who struggle with dental anxiety. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, welcomed, and at ease.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give Dr Cameron a negative 100 review that would be too much. Please if you value your life and well being do not go to this place. I had crown restorations done by her on my front top teeth. I was in severe pain for 1 year before I finally called my Dr back home in California. He told me to go to Nashville and see a prosthodontist. Every single time I went to see what was wrong with me ( which was at least every month) Dr cameron completely dismissed me. She told me she had no clue why I was in pain. I had a red ring on my gums for over a year. I was in soooo much pain and she would tell me I couldn't handle pain and that I probably had an autoimmune disease. I mean you cant make this stuff up that she would tell me. She would come up with anything but saying that there was something wrong. She absolutely did my teeth too big and the gums were never going to heal around them, thus causing the pain that she always dismissed. I could go on and on!! She absolutely wrecked the gum tissue on my front teeth. Her lack of empathy for my pain was unlike anything I've ever seen. I have never in my life been treated like this. And like everyone else says how she trys to up sell everything that is absolutely true! Please, please, find someone else. DO NOT GO HERE!

Update: I recently had tooth pain which is very unusual. I saw Dr. Cameron who did an exam and tests, X-rays and assured me nothing was wrong except a bruised tooth. However, as a precaution she made a referral to an endodontist to provide a root canal or implant should the bruised nerve not recover. She told me exactly how to care for my tooth and what to expect for the next few weeks. My tooth healed and I cancelled the scheduled endodontist appointment today. The care I received at Sophisticated Smiles gave me peace of mind, saved me a lot of money and makes me grateful I have a dentist I can trust to always do what’s best for my teeth!

Experiencia negativa: ⭐ 1-Star Review I took my daughter to Sophisticated Smiles on April 3rd for a veneer placement that was supposed to last until adulthood. We paid over $1,300 for this procedure. Shockingly, the veneer only lasted five months before breaking in half. Today, when we returned to have it repaired, we waited for an hour before a dental hygienist told us Dr. Cameron was reviewing options. Instead of offering a solution, we were told the veneer could not be fixed and that my daughter would need a brand-new veneer—at an additional cost of almost $800. At no point during the initial placement were we told there was no warranty on the veneer. For a procedure that expensive, and marketed to last years, this is unacceptable. It’s clear to me that Dr. Cameron and this facility care more about money than about the quality of work or their patients’ well-being. I would never recommend this office for any services. Dr. Cameron is unprofessional, and my experience proves she does not stand behind her work.

Experiencia negativa: I liked this office at the beginning, but then I started noticing things that didn't seem right to me. First, I noticed that they are always trying to sell or upsell you. They are constantly asking to add on prescription toothpaste or a fluoride treatment or something. I have braces, and no matter what the add-on service is, they try to sell me by saying it's good for people with braces. They also always ask if you want gas, which is another upcharge. And it feels irresponsible to always be offering gas to patients for routine things. One time, they asked me to pay in full for my services before running my insurance and they would refund me if the insurance covered anything. I had to insist that they run my insurance first. It just seems like they will do anything to get an extra dollar in their pockets. I have talked to a couple other patients that had similar stories to mine. The other thing that really troubles me is that I've had 3 cleanings at this office. Not one of them has been covered in full by my insurance even though I get 2 free cleanings a year. When I asked about this, they said it was because they coded it as a periodontal cleaning, not the standard cleaning that would be covered. So I asked, "What additional services am I getting that are not included in a free cleaning?" None. They told me that the services are the same, there is a higher charge solely for the fact that I have bad gums. So I am being charged for the same services at a higher rate. I think this was probably the last straw for me. I would understand if the state of my gums warranted extra treatments or different services when I come in for a cleaning. But they don't. Again, it's just another way to get a little more money in their pockets. I've had periodontal disease for over 10 years, and this is the first time in 10 years that a dentist clinic has justified submitting services received as something more than a "regular" cleaning so that the insurance wouldn't cover it. It feels very deceptive and sneaky.

Experiencia fantástica: Started the process of having veneers to replace my upper 10 teeth and lower 10 teeth the first of April of this year. As you can tell with the pictures I am including, my teeth were slightly crooked in front and were dark, due to antibiotics I received as a child. I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to have this precedure done, and having being a good candidate for excellent results!! I admit that I was unaware of the ability for me to have this process done, which positively brightens up my mood and my day every time I smile now! I seldom smile with a closed mouth, which I find that I often did in the past. At over 60 years old, I am ecstatic with having teeth for the first time in my life which aren't crooked nor are they dark! I find myself smiling a LOT more, and lots of times it is in front of the mirror as I continue to be amazed with the results! I cannot say enough positive statements about ALL of the staff who work with Sophisticated Smiles and all of the time, courtesy, expertise and willingness to go the extra mile in each step that they take with their clients. I would go through the entire process again to get these results, as I am thrilled with the change from before to NOW. The results have exceeded any expectations that I may have had and I will be forever grateful to every staff, each who genuinely are happy to see their clients with new and better smiles. In addition, I have also had xrays and cleanings done with them and will continue to happily continue being a patient with this dentist and her team for many years to come! I spent a lot of time talking to several local dentists about the procedures I needed because I was making such a large investment. Some of my teeth had cracked, some had to be extracted, and I was having difficulty chewing properly. Dr. Cameron, who I chose, has not let me down and in fact, has exceeded my expectations. My teeth are being re-stored; implants, crowns, resins and fillings, and I am beginning to chew normally again. Dr. Cameron is very gentle, empathetic, and respectful. On the technical end, Dr. Cameron has access to the latest technology and has the knowledge, experience, and skills to help me with my dental needs. Dr. C is very gifted in her expertise. I was able to get relief from them from my TMJ pain through Trigger Point Injection and my next step is Invisalign which they are helping me through the process of that as well. Christina and Dr. Cameron have both been very helpful and so nice with getting my pain under control and manageable, and also helping me with my treatment plan. I am so happy that I have found them!

My fiance went here and was told only a cap was to be done to her tooth although she informed them that her last dentist said she needed a root canal. They received all prior information with her last dentist and Dr Cameron told her that no root canal was needed that she can confidently do a cap. She was never told prior that if the cap doesn't work she would need a root canal. Only after her cap was done is when they said "if this doesn't work you'll need a root canal" why not already suggest a root canal if Dr Cameron already knew she couldn't preform a safe procedure...Almost a week laster my fiance is still in excruciating pain up at night crying from the pain can't focus at work. They tell her to go to another dentist that Cameron referred to do a root canal which after pay Cameron $1500 now we need an additional $2400 for a 1st visit and the root canal...where are we supposed to get this money from?? And then we were told that Cameron doesn't even know if she needs a root canal or not she just wanted us to go to the dentist she recommended to see what my fiance needed. Now we feel like we are getting passed around to see who eles could pull money out of our pockets. Why not ask your patient to come in and check your work get more x-rays do things that a normal doctor does?? I cancel all my appointments I was supposed to get 3 different procedures I don't not trust Cameron's judgment or credibility to make the right decision based off of what the patient needs, not what will fill Camerons bank. Wow you believe your own lies... She had to ask! for a refund and you said only of she signed a release form saying you did nothing wrong and to not be a patientat your facility any longer.. Great comfort and care?. did the best you could.? You did great job at not doing anything but making a bigger mess. Best luck in your future endeavors. And God don't like ugly...

I have now had 2 cleanings and Invisalign put on there. This is my second time with Invisalign and is no comparison to the experience with my previous dentist. They never fit well, made me lisp, and obviously did not work. After just a few months, the difference in my teeth is incredible. And my teeth have never been cleaner! Experiencia fantástica: I had terrible jaw pain and could barely open my mouth when I first saw Dr. Cameron in May of 2022. It hurt to chew, I was clenching my teeth during the day and every night. I really didn’t think that I would ever be able to chew normally again. Now in February of 2023, I have no pain, I can open my mouth very wide. I am completely healed! It’s a miracle!
