Experiencia negativa: My wife had a major upper molar extraction performed by Dr. Jeff Berger three weeks ago. In our opinion, this procedure should have been referred to an oral surgeon because the extraction appeared to be beyond the scope of what could be handled in the office. We are sharing our experience in the hope that these concerns are taken seriously and that future patients receive appropriate follow-up care and communication. A bone graft was placed during the procedure, but it fell out the very next day. Since the extraction, my wife has been experiencing severe, ongoing pain that feels as though a nerve may have been damaged. The pain has been so significant that she has been unable to work while waiting to get an appointment with an oral surgeon. What has been most disappointing is the lack of communication. My wife has called, left messages, and sent text messages to Dr. Berger’s office multiple times, yet no one has returned her calls or responded to her concerns. We are extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled and Dr. Berger’s integrity.

Experiencia fantástica: This review of my visit to Jeff Berger Dentistry to have Robin clean my teeth is almost exactly the same as my previous review. All went well. Robin cleaned and scaled my teeth and nothing negative turned up, so I was pleasantly surprised. Since getting two crowns and three fillings from Jeff six month ago I've been paying particular attention to brushing, flossing and rinsing with enamel hardener, so I guess following Robin's instruction paid off. Left the office with a pleasant feeling of accomplishment. Thank you Robin and Jeff Burger Dentistry! I did find out from Jeff's post-cleaning examination that a cracked molar on the lower left side of my mouth did need to be replaced with a crown, but I already knew that so it wasn't a big surprise. I have until June 22 to wait for the procedure. Oh boy!

Experiencia negativa: I just started working with Dr Jeff and he truly cares about his patients. His staff is awesome. They helped me in an emergency situation quickly and with compassion. I look forward to continuing my care here. Update I like Dr Jeff but the planning and billing is not to be trusted. I had an initial consultation. Booked and appointment for deep cleaning. I didn't realize they intended to numb my entire mouth in one sitting. This totally freaked me out. I missed the appointment due to a work conflict and was charged (fine) A few weeks later, months after my initial appointment I was billed for my xrays. No call or explanation. Just an email with billing link. Apparently they charge a lot for xrays. My insurance didn't cover all of it. It will now cost me $700 to get the xrays transferred. I don't mind paying for quality care but I do mind poor communication. I do mind having surprise $700 charges months after a service. It felt like a money grab. I was already facing expensive treatments and big financial commitments. I recommend getting a full billing breakdown for consultations before booking. Then cross check your insurance. You could end up like me with $700 owed, no work done and a passive aggressive office chick to deal with. If you have 30k laying around, don't worry, you'll be fine!

After many attempts at finding a dentist willing to do the procedure on short notice without being a client, Charlie struck gold with Dr.Jeff Berger in Sonora, a three hour drive away from the Bay Area. This amazing dentist sets aside time every day for emergencies and was able to fix the problem the moment we arrived. At the same time, my retainer broke and I was going to wait to have it fixed. But yesterday I had my initial appointment. The team was able to x-ray my teeth and give me a full consultation, including using the latest technology to create a full scan of my teeth for a replacement retainer. Now both of us are clients with this excellent West Coast dentist and love the personal and professional service that this top notch 30+ year old dentist office provides. Everyone makes you feel like family and provides top quality care of our teeth. Thank you to Dr. Jeff and team!!!
