Experiencia negativa: Very disappointing experience this morning. I arrived for my scheduled 8:00 AM appointment and, since it had been about a year, I provided my updated insurance card right away. Instead of helping, the front desk staff immediately dismissed my card, repeatedly and rudely telling me it was “medical” and not dental, and even after I explained that I had just confirmed my coverage the day before. This all happened at the front check-in desk, where other patients were seated and could hear everything. The interaction felt very unprofessional and uncomfortable. The blonde hair staff member and another woman with dark hair and glasses both spoke to me in a dismissive tone, with rude looks. I was then told my insurance was “not active” and warned I would have to pay out of pocket. Because of how I was treated, I chose to leave without being seen. After leaving, I verified on my own that my insurance is in fact active! I want to be clear that Dr. Aaron Fuehrer and his dental assistants have always been kind, respectful, and professional. This issue is specifically with the front desk staff! Because of this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere, and so will my children. This was my first negative experience in four years, but unfortunately my parents have also had similar issues with the same front desk staff and have chosen not to return. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and for staff to take the TIME to properly verify updated insurance information, especially when discussing it in front of others. I hope this office provides additional training to their front desk team, both in professionalism and insurance verification.

Experiencia negativa: *Scam alert* I don’t have problem with the given care for my teeth; however, I was scammed into getting service . Long story, I scheduled an annual cleaning but they wanted me to do a deep cleaning instead. They estimated the whole cost for all related appointments to be $231 and asked me to pay up front. After the whole operation, they said I don’t need to pay anything else as insurance will take care of the rest. Three months later, they sent me another bill of $602. I called them and they said $231 was only an estimate and blamed me for not knowing how much my insurance would pay. I’ve never seen an estimate that is only 1/4 of the actual cost. Let me know if you think this is a scam.
