From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a welcoming, friendly atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. Dr. Robertson is not only incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but also genuinely kind and personable—she takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. The level of care and attention to detail truly stands out. Everything is efficient, organized, and runs seamlessly, yet never feels rushed. It’s rare to find someone who combines expertise with such a warm, approachable demeanor. After two visits, I can confidently say the experience is consistently exceptional. Service this great can feel hard to come by, but Dr Robertson absolutely delivers every single time—I highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: I was recently in to be seen for a filling I had lost on my front that I had for over 30 years. I was seen by Dr. Lindsay Robertson I want to preface this by saying that I worked in dentistry for over 10 years and specifically in prosthodontics meaning full mouth reconstructions veneers crowns implant restorations Anything cosmetic you name it I’ve probably assisted it With that comes many years of training to be able to Excel that environment. I say this so that it’s crystal clear that I am well aware of how the dentistry for a composite filling should be done and the quality of the work that is to be expected. The minimum requirements of which were not met during my visit. I came in for an MIFL anterior composite The Assistant Tiffany (who was so kind and lovely ) and I had already picked the shade for my tooth which I already knew was going to be an A1 before I even walked into the office Standard for the dentist to also check and confirm the shade to make sure nothing outlandish is happening After repeatedly telling me that she would’ve picked a different brighter shade, the attitude and the chair side manner went down the drain completely because I was not agreeing with her At the end of the day, it is my mouth. I chose the shade that I felt fit my smile best and after stating your opinion one, 2 or even 3x I think we should’ve moved on instead of repeatedly saying that you would’ve picked different shade I HAD to ask her to polish my tooth after the filling was completed. I HAD to ask her to fix the incisal edge of my tooth after trying to tell me that that’s how my tooth is.( I’ve only been staring at my teeth for 34 years but what do I know) She did not check the interproximal space between my teeth. She didn’t polish the interproximal areaI now have a small space and a ledge where the filling meets my tooth. By the end of the appointment I was so fed up with her attitude and how rude and condescending she was speaking to me I just decided to leave. To be clear, this is not my first interaction with Dr. Robertson. She had seen my daughter a couple months ago and we had a very lovely experience so I’m absolutely utterly shocked by the behavior that I witnessed and the lack of care and quality of the dentistry that I received. I have to say that if you need any cosmetic work done or any dentistry done at all, I would never recommend Dr. Robertson to do it because the quality and the care are the lowest of the low To not even polish and check with floss, the interproximal space between my teeth when doing an interproximal filling is absolutely astounding to me. That is “fillings 101”

Its amazing that they understand that what they do can be painful and scary- but that it's necessary and helpful, too- and they care enough to take the time to help you understand that too- not in a condescending or difficult way. They were all super patient and very understanding with me. Very healing. Physically and emotionally. Words cant express the gratitude. Not an overdramatic statement, either. I had a ton of traumatic experiences as a medically complex child who is still a medically complex and chronically ill adult- it made me not only hesitant, but downright fearful of stepping foot into the office, before I did so- but the staff. The staff repeatedly shows up in ways that seem so strong. They enjoy what they do and they're simply brilliant at it, to boot. The culture in that building is palpable. Thank you. ☺️ I will be continuing my care with this practice and will be encouraging others to do the same.

It always smells clean and inviting & even left my dads business cards in the bulletin board in the front walkway. was always nice to me and my family and if i still lived here i would absolutely go back. never talked bad about my teeth or tried to make me feel like i couldnt get them fixed. thank you

My two little girls and I went to Smith Family & Cosmetic Dentistry in Sneads Ferry, NC, and I can honestly say — 10/10 would recommend! From the moment we walked in, everyone at the front desk was so welcoming and upbeat. The place is spotless, with a calm, cozy vibe that instantly puts you at ease. And the waiting area? Let’s just say the fish tank stole the show — my girls were absolutely obsessed! They could’ve stayed there all day just watching the fish swim around. Scheduling was super easy too. They sent over all the forms ahead of time, which saved so much time when we arrived — a big win for a mom with two little ones in tow. I had my cleaning done by Kaila, and she is absolutely amazing. So kind, patient, and thorough — honestly, it felt like catching up with a friend instead of meeting someone for the first time. Halfway through, I had to pause and tell her, “You’re the first person who’s ever spent this much care and time cleaning my teeth!” You can tell she loves what she does, and that made me feel so comfortable and confident in her hands. While I was getting my cleaning, the team offered to go ahead and start with the girls, and they had the best experience! The staff kept them happy, entertained, and totally comfortable — they even got little toys and watched a show while waiting. When we were done, both of them couldn’t stop talking about how “fun” the dentist was (which is something I never thought I’d hear, to be honest). Also, small detail — but I loved the big window view from the room. There’s greenery and sunlight, and it just makes the whole space feel peaceful. Overall, it was such a positive experience for both me and my girls. Everyone there truly goes above and beyond. If you’re looking for a family-friendly, kind, and genuinely caring dental office — this is the one.

As soon as you check in, it's less than 10 minutes before you're taken back and getting seen. All staff are awesome, friendly and knowledgeable. I especially enjoyed Mariah and Dr Fickey. Experiencia fantástica: I had a tooth which needed a root canal almost a year ago and I put it off, which led to my tooth breaking in half while brushing. I have always been petrified of the dentist, so I was really scared to go in and see what I had to do about my tooth. Dr Gill and her assistant Brittany made me feel so much more comfortable getting my extraction done, and also has been messaging me ensuring that I'm okay after my first tooth extraction! She was so transparent when doing my extraction and told me everything she did, as well as asked me if I needed any breaks periodically as she could tell I was getting anxious. This is the best care I have ever received from a dentist, and my fiancee and I will be back soon! Thank you guys so much. You've really helped me with my fear of the dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: I personally am moving my entire family from a dentist they have used for over a decade to Smith Family dentistry due to the professionalism I experienced today. I wanted a second opinion on a recommendation for two crowns after retirement from the military and visiting my first civilian dentist. Not only was I treated kindly and with respect by the dental assistant Linda, I was fortunate enough to have a thorough and comforting session with Dr. Gill. Dental work costs money, sometimes a lot of money. That's how dentists are able to pay bills and stay afloat; but that doesn't mean drill every tooth to make a dollar. Dr. Gill's advice made sense and was clearly understandable; in the end I saved thousands of dollars in unnecessary work and more importantly, didn't cause problems from a potential "leakly seam" that may have formed if the previously recommended crowns were to be installed. Highly recommended this dentist!

Walked through every step of getting his filling and made the process as easy as possible given the situation we were in. They will not let you know your insurance fell out of network until you find out yourself and by then your family has had 3 appointments and you owe $1,000 in dental bills. All future appointments my family had have been cancelled. RE: yes I got a check from my insurance but guess what it’s for $400 so because of your staffs dishonesty and failure to communicate I’m still out $600. Thanks.

Dr. Phan was amazing with me, she took the time to reassess a tooth other dentists didn't want to deal with. She saved it and bought me some time to figure out a more long term fix. She listens to my concerns and didn't make me feel like crap for my teeth. Office staff is always friendly, the kids waiting room is an awesome addition. Experiencia fantástica: I had my first dental exam yesterday (after over 18yrs.....don't judge lol) with Dr. Phan. From the moment I walked in, I was already impressed. The front office was clean and very cute, the front desk staff were all smiles, very pleasant and helpful. The dental assistants were all very professional and kind. Then I had to get the plaque cleaned off which I was having anxiety with the sound so to distract myself, I had to hum and then a few times heard the dental assistant humming also lol. The dental assistant was patient, gentle and helped me relax with chit chat. The Dr. came in, Dr. Phan and she was just as pleasant as everyone else. She was informative, patient and answered all of my questions. This office staff was amazing, they all really helped my nerves and anxiety calm down whether they knew I was anxious or not, they did a great job. Highly recommend this office. Soon after I started going I had the pleasure of being seen by Sarah and she immediately made me feel safe and comfortable. She makes the visit feel like a catch-up with good friend and indulges in my off track conversations. I have two non-neurotypical children, one who is on the spectrum who is also selectively mute and she is a dream with him. She put in his folder notes of things that make him feel comfortable and his preferences without me even having to ask. Once Dr Gill came to the establishment I started seeing her as well and they are honestly my dream team. Dr. Gill is patient, thorough with her work and quick, but doesn’t make you feel rushed or like you’re just a client. She listens to your concerns and comes up with multiple solutions that fit your needs. I wouldn’t even dream of having any other duo!

I have had the opportunity to be cared for by many of the dentists, dental assistants and hygienists, as well as the front of house staff. Everyone is very professional, knowledgeable and kind. You are treated like family there. The know your name and remember details about you. My primary dentist, Dr. Gill, is too notch! She makes you feel comfortable and safe. She gives you the options for treatment plans and talks you through them every step of the way. I loved working with her so much, that she now cares for my children as well. She is as friendly as she is professional. No one ‘really likes’ going to the dentist, but she does make the appointments an enjoyable experience. Her assistants are always great too. I most recently had the privilege of working with Tyffannee. She explained everything in depth and provided amazing care. I would recommend this office 10/10 without any hesitation!

I had canceled my appointment 4 times previously due to this phobia, and probably rightfully so after my last terrible experience at another dentist. They both comforted me, and helped me along every step. I honestly don’t think I could’ve had a better experience, and for those worried, I did NOT feel the needle AT ALL. After neglecting my teeth and gums for many years after a couple bad experiences, this was absolutely the perfect place to land. Always above industry standards for sterility. Soooo much state of the art equipment to make the experience faster, simpler, streamlined and just better. Best, kindest staff and really good and knowing how to read the room. I am so grateful that they just went slow and steady and didn’t shove everything in to one appointment. Everything was explained ahead of time. As I left, I was prepared for next appt, able to ask any questions. I was given estimate for how much next appt would be and a reminder card. I received a reminder call and text(per my request because I’m old). And then when I arrived I was asked by the front desk if I had any questions. Taken to room, asked if I had questions, given every chance to feel calm and good before the work was done. I am so glad you were recommended!!! I would drive from anywhere!!!

Past experiences in the military with dental care really hindered my confidence in seeking cleanings, etc. Smith dentistry has been gentle, understanding, and accommodating to those fears. They create a soothing environment and ensure your treatment plan aligns with what you’re comfortable with. I’m really grateful for this practice.

Experiencia fantástica: We lived in NC for 6 years and absolutely loved this place! Staff was always so friendly and welcoming. My son and I both had ortho done with Dr. Smith and he was so patient and kind. Very professional and wouldn’t let you leave unless he was satisfied with the job. Amazing! He even saw my younger son and daughter before we had to move! Still can’t seem to find a dentist in the area that fits our experience we had with Dr. Smith and his team! We miss them! Thank y’all!

Experiencia fantástica: First, I want to start off by saying I’m almost 30 & have an extreme anxiety & fear when it comes to the dentist. From my very first visit with them after over 10 years of not having oral care, the Hygienist Amber, & Dr. Phan made me SO confident. I had some teeth extracted & literally get no pain the next day. Today, I had a 2 hour appointment, having some real work done. I also had to bring my rambunctious 3 year old. When I tell you Amber, was so welcoming & didn’t miss a beat. Saying how much they hate when a parent has to cancel care due to no childcare. They were wondering with him, even running him to the bathroom before he had an accident. The assistant Jenn C was phenomenal with keeping him occupied when he needed to leave the room for X-rays. ASIDE from how the treated my child, when I tell you they have restored my faith that I can have a pretty smile again, I mean it. Today they went above & beyond. I should have just had a deep cleaning, but with time left over, Dr Phan stopped what she was going & used the remaining time to pull a tooth & fill a hole that had been bothering me. They are patiently waiting for me, when I’m having a moment, & make sure I am comfortable & okay the entire time. I honestly can not say enough good things about this practice, but especially these women. I know because of them, I’ll love to smile again one day. I am beyond thankful I found this office.

My hygienist, Amber made my cleaning feel like a cake walk! Not only was she very attentive and caring but took the time to explain every step but also gave me advice on how to hit those close to impossible crevices. Experiencia fantástica: I love the huge fish tank in the waiting area! Amber cleaned my teeth and was very informative during the appointment. She explained what she was doing and showed me a different way to brush my bottom teeth to prevent plaque build up. Highly recommend.

I honestly thought we were going to have to leave without having her teeth cleaned but Amber was very patient with her and got the job done. The office was very clean and kid friendly with a large fish tank and two treasure boxes. Great experience !

Experiencia fantástica: I came in early to fill out some paperwork and the front desk was really helpful with that. Amber was the one who called me back and cleaned my teeth. I've had my gums numbered a few other times but never really knew why. She actually sat me up and explained to me what the numbers mean and used a chart in her room to better explain what was going on with my gums. The level of care provided at my appointment was a lot higher than I'm used to from previous dental offices.

Thankfully I haven't needed any crazy dental work, but even with my routine cleaning, it's not so bad and I usually get the same hygienist Sarah. Experiencia fantástica: I got stuck in the school traffic and ended up being about ten minutes late for my appointment. The front desk was very understanding and the hygienist called me back as soon as I arrived. Amber was really gentle when she was cleaning my teeth and showed good attention to detail. I expected to be feeling rushed during the appointment since I was late but she really took her time and answered all my questions.

Experiencia negativa: Watch your insurance cards for insurance fraud and double charging. Smith’s used to be good but he’s getting too big and his patients come second to his money. They know this is a military transient town and they know they don’t have to worry about word-of-mouth new customers every four years. They really just don’t care

Experiencia positiva: Dr. Smith & all of the dentists, dental hygienists, etc. were always fabulous whenever I was in their care. We did have a few issues with the front office misplacing some paperwork for our move and then some issues in terms of clear/timely communication since moving out of the country. Besides this, I would recommend Smith Family Dentistry, especially if you have little ones. They provided excellent care to my son, starting whenever he was about 2 years old.

Every time I go to get care at Smith's, I am literally surprised by the great care and wonderful people working at this business. Kind, caring, professionally efficient people working to help me. My last visit was a couple of days ago. I must again praise their care for patients. Dr. Phann and her assistant Linda performed my procedure like a perfectly tuned engine. Experiencia fantástica: I just moved to North Carolina and was looking for a cosmetic dentist as I had chipped my tooth. Smith Family Dentistry was able to fit me in the same day I called. The staff was warm and very welcoming. I was fortunate to have Dr. Gill work on my tooth. Her attention to detail was amazing! She made sure the color matched perfectly and that it was aesthetically pleasing. She had me look at it several times to make sure I was happy. Her assistant was also excellent! Experiencia negativa: I went to Smith Dental for a cleaning. I had a tiny cavity witch was fixed without issue. I had a second cavity under a crown. The crown was removed, the repair was made, a temp crown was placed and I have been in pain for the week waiting on the permanent crown. The permanent was placed resulting in more pain. A return visit two days later resulted in an anti-inflammatory and a root canal set 4 weeks away. The pain has been unbearable, I'm taking over 20 pills a day to function and I was told today (after the week-end) there was nothing they could do to move up the appointment. Customer care is not their priority. Update - getting my root canal in two days with my new dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the third time that I have brought my toddler here. She is almost 2.5 years old and hates the doctor’s office, so people, including staff at this location, had recommended I could start bringing her in for appointments to get her used to it which is what I’ve been doing. The first two times she cried and cried, but the staff were amazing with just trying to get her used to the situation. But I was just there today for my child’s third checkup and we arrived early so we went and waited in the toy room. She was of course crying because she knows where she is and doesn’t want to be there and I was doing everything I could to calm her down. Then an older female hygienist came and told me that if my child couldn’t be calm in the toy room then she wouldn’t sit in the chair and if I couldn’t get her to calm down then I would have to leave and reschedule. Put such a sour taste in my mouth and made me not want to come back. Thankfully, the hygienist that she did get for the appointment was absolutely amazing with her and did everything she could to make her feel comfortable. The dentist was also super sweet to my little girl. They are the reason I am still giving a 5-star rating. I do hope that the rude hygienist sees this or it is brought up to her and tries harder next time to be more understanding of a scary experience for a toddler. If it were not for the hygienist we ended up having, we would not be coming back because of the other’s lack of compassion.

The staff at the Sneads Ferry always goes above and beyond to be sure you’re comfortable, they make you feel right at home and be sure to carefully go over any questions or concerns that you may have! I had a root canal procedure yesterday afternoon and they made it seem like a total cake walk! I would give this business 5 plus stars if I could. Highly recommend and I’m so thankful that they take such great care of our family each time we come in!

Experiencia fantástica: My teenage daughter has major anxiety when it comes to doctors and dentists. She needed to have an extraction to get ready for braces and I didn’t know how we would be able to get through it. We went in for a consult and since there was a cancellation Dr.Gill offered to do it then if my daughter was comfortable with doing it. Dr.Gill and the dental hygienist Zack were absolutely amazing with her. Dr.Gill was so patient with her and talked her through the entire procedure and Zack helped my daughter feel comfortable and even got a few laughs out of her. I am blown away with the service that we received from her and Zack. I highly recommend Dr. Gill for anyone who may have anxiety or for anyone who wants excellent service! Thank you again Dr. Gill!

The staff has been so patient with my kids and I've finally found a dentist where my youngest will allow them to do a cleaning. The cleaning and fillings have been painless, I am very pleased with the office as a whole.
