Experiencia positiva: How is thankful for this stuff and the doctor I had a cavity I didn't even know I had a cavity it wasn't bothering me but she found it and I'm very very super duper nervous about needles in my mouth but the doctor assured me she works on kids everyday she was doing this for 20 years so even though my blood pressure was up a letter put the needle in my mouth and then she did some more needle numbing I was working out but I held the hand of one of the assistants and that made it a little bit better I hope this comes do well because my mouth is swollen and I'm sounding very funny while talking

Edit to add: y'all's response is hilarious. I didn't demand anything. I didn't get a chance to explain the reason for the visit. Brittany refused to ask for any identifying information and basically told me that no appointments were available and to go elsewhere. Based on your responses to one-star reviews, I'd say we dodged a bullet. Best of luck to you all.

Experiencia positiva: I give it a 3 because i feel like the male dentist was unnecessarily rough. He took my wisdom teeth out and was literally pulling my head towards him like my face was touching his body. I wanted to think that maybe i was exaggerating because my left tooth came out easier than my right but i told him that i felt all the pain on the right side where he was standing. Once I let him know that i still felt the right side of my mouth, he just went ahead and gave me another numbing needle and immediately after he started prying my tooth out not even 5 seconds later I kid you not. On my left I had a dental assistant who was very nice and caring. She even wiped my tears and held my hand. In one instance she had asked him for a tissue, he said “for what?” ( to wipe my tears). He seemed annoyed and angry. All he said was stop crying and that it’s just pressure that i’m feeling but the pain was so bad that i was shaking and crying all day. I showered the next day and I ended up fainting in the shower even though I ate earlier that day. I’d like to think i’m not being dramatic but a lot of male specialists tend to be so cold sometimes and I think this was the case as well. All the ladies here were really nice but the man seems to be the boss so they all do what he says sadly.

Experiencia fantástica: My 3 children( 16m,10f, 5m) has been patients of this dental office for several years now. I just recently became a patient here. My own first personal experience was 10/10. I got my teeth examined and Dr. Shah and I came up with a treatment plan together ; he was honest about what treatments should be done right away and what could wait so I wouldn’t have out of pocket costs. On my second visit is when I got everything done. I had a cleaning and 3 fillings done. Dr. Shah was gentle during the cleaning. I was numbed for the fillings and I only needed to take ibuprofen once after the local anesthesia wore off which I appreciated. The staff and doctors are very nice and welcoming. Anytime I visit whether it’s for my children or myself, we are in and out within a hour. I definitely would recommend this office to family and friends who may need a dentist or is looking to switch dentist.

There was a huge mishap where my appointment was canceled by someone they claim is my husband(I am not married nor is anyone listed on my record that should be able to speak on my behalf). So, that was concerning and highly inconvenient as my whole day was centered around this appointment. Over the phone they were extremely apologetic and got me in later that day. Upon entering I voiced my concerns about the incident and the receptionist, again, was apologetic and assured me my concerns would be noted. The hygienist was pleasant & thorough. Even with the mishap, I do recommend Crescent Dental Associates

Experiencia fantástica: I needed to find a new dental office. I chose Cresent Dental office based off of a friend of mine. When I arrived, The front desk office was friendly and I was greeted with a smile. I had an issue with a tooth cap. I was nervous and I wasn’t sure that the doctor was gonna be able to help me I have had this cap for quite a while. The staff reassured that he would certainly be able to assist me. Doctor Shah quickly replace my cap and Sealed it nice and tight it’s better than ever! I enjoy the warm comforting, feeling of going to Cresent dental it’s Important to me, which makes Cresent Dental my kind of dental office, personal, respectful, considerate, and do the best job ever!

Experiencia negativa: I've been coming here for years and have never run into an issue like this... I had an appointment today at 10:45 and was told that I received a call and or email(which I didn't get) about old insurance being invalid, which is true since I had to get new insurance but I had my new insurance card and provided it to the lady at the desk(don't know her name but she's white with glasses, brown hair and a ponytail). She tells me that since I didn't update my new insurance after my call(which again, I did not receive a call or email) my appointment time is invalid and I would have to be rescheduled, which is fine! She takes a look at my insurance card(Ambetter Health Delaware) and then tells me that they don't take this insurance and that only Pennsylvania takes this insurance, and that nobody in Delaware takes my insurance. I get my prescriptions for free, my visits are mostly covered by insurance, we were very confused on why a Delaware insurance wouldn't cover a dental visit IN DELAWARE. She told me that they take Amerihealth and tried grouping my insurance in that same category (Medicaid) when I have private insurance and they're completely different. She very much didn't know what she was talking about and it left us very frustrated. I'll unfortunately just have to get a new dental office which is ashame since I've been coming here since I was a child! Update: Apparently they contacted me but again I got no call or email, my phone does accept voicemails and if you couldn't reach me by phone, you had my email. Also, I wasn't told this information in your office yesterday. I was told that NOBODY in Delaware takes my insurance and that it's a Pennsylvania insurance which is incorrect. AmBetter is private insurance/marketplace so it's government controlled but they cap it off and make it set rate. Medicaid is completely different and government FUNDED insurance. I understand that my insurance is government controlled but I was told that it's completely government funded without further explanation, which is, still the incorrect information. I was and am disappointed the service I received and the answers to my questions. Now receiving this response from you, I am now 100% sure that the information I received yesterday was incorrect. Please make sure your associates know the correct information and don't mislead your customers.

Experiencia negativa: This is the worst dental office. I was a patient of the Wilmington location and looked to switch to the Bear location (closer to my home). I made multiple attempts over the course of several months in the end of 2024 only to get an appointment finally scheduled in the first week of January for today, 1/15/3025 at 2:45 PM. I arrived early to my appointment only to learn that my appointment was canceled. When I asked why my appointment was canceled, I was told they could not get through to my phone number on record this past Monday, 1/13/2025 at 8:41am and 11:25am to discuss copay. (Mind you, they had already called me and had already spoken to me twice in January where I confirmed insurance information) I then proceeded to show them my call log on my cell phone for Monday, which showed a multitude of calls I had received. The front desk clerk was dismissive and callous in the tone she took responding, “yes, it’s cancelled” when I asked, “so you cancelled my appointment when I’m showing you that I received no calls from your office”. I immediately asked to speak with her manager who I soon learned was Stephanie, Office Manager. By the flushed look on her face when she came out of her office, she had already decided the direction she would take with the conversation. She was just as dismissive and rude. Speaking to me in a condescending fashion about the amount of the copayment, as to imply, I could not afford it. It was evidently clear that the melanin in my skin or did it start with the Latin last name cause for the most Blatant discrimination. I should’ve known when their influence was to send me back to the Wilmington location when I was trying to initially schedule. Full transparency, the Wilmington location was remarkable. The workers there were NOTABLY, welcoming and pleasant. That location made me feel welcomed and they went the extra mile to help me understand the Crescent Dental way as a “new patient”. It is so unfortunate that this Bear Location is affiliated with the Wilmington location. The hospitality received at the Wilmington location did not go unnoticed and would absolutely be recommended. However, the Bear location receives the worst review I could possibly provide any company or organization for their blatant disconnect with understanding fair practices. Sidenote: I have been an HR Manager for over 20 years. Recognizing poor employee performance and Customer engagement comes natural. In the end, I left the office and would never recommend this location to anyone of a minority background. As stated, If Crescent dental is where your insurance Encourages, please do yourself a favor and go to the Wilmington location —— Their front office is amazing. I will be contacting the Division of Professional Regulations regarding this matter.

The appointments are very efficient and quick and so are the fillings. The staff is very caring and considerate. They talked me through everything they were doing during both fillings and cleanings while providing me with a lot of information on things they noticed with my teeth. During a filling, they even were thoughtful enough to put chapstick on my lips as they noticed them getting dry. And on my first cleaning visit, they were playing a movie on the TV in the room that I watched as I waited for the dentist to come. Just all around such a great place!

They took me at my appointment time and everyone was pleasant from the office staff to the dentist. They did a great job cleaning my teeth. A bonus that the hygienist didn’t talk the entire time during the cleaning. Not that I dislike people or talking but it’s impossible to respond when someone is working in your mouth.

Experiencia fantástica: I love going to this dental clinic. I am greeted very well at the front desk. Waiting period is no longer than 10-15 minutes. I am mostly in and out when I come. Dentist are very nice and polite also gentle. If you have any questions they will be happy to answer them. Are very comfortable when coming to this place. Very quick and easy process every time I go. No problems at all.

Same as the last time, another great experience! I was in and out in no time. The hygienist was gentle, quick and efficient. I also got some impressions made by Alissa and she Handled that smoothly as well. Dr. Shaw has a great personality and easy to talk to. Made me comfortable with making decisions for my next visit.
