As an autistic person I dont like new places & new people everytime I come in but with here, I get the same assistant & the same dentist everytime & they both know me well by this point (even if its just for a basic cleaning). The assistant lady is my favorite, shes always super nice (they all are actually) & shes always super gentle when working with my mouth with xrays & whatever else. DR. Vontella is always nice & never makes me feel bad about the quality of my teeth even though I try my best to take care of them. They both always give me suggestions on how to do better without making me feel like garbage♡. Its small & cozy & they always take care of me so 5 stars. ♡♡

Experiencia negativa: The most horrible experience I have ever had. Vimala Vontela is pure evil. She’s not a good person she’s mean, disrespectful and rude. She is arrogant and is just in it for the money. She damaged my nerve in my tooth and gave me an infection which led to a tooth extraction. She knowingly filled a cavity that was too big and deep and did not notify me about it until she was done doing it. Once she drilled out the big deep cavity, she damaged my nerve by drilling too deep and once it was done, then she told me that the damage is going to lead to a root canal or tooth extraction. I went to another dentist and he told me that she should have not filled that cavity that it was way too large and way too deep, but she did it anyways, leaving me suffering in pain with an infection. This shows her characteristics as a person. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!

I have been a dental patient of hers for over 20 years I moved from Hayward to Manteca over 22 years ago. I’ve visited several dentists and once I’ve discovered Dr. Vontela she’s been my dentist ever since. She is very professional and comfort is her demeanor. My teeth is well-preserved due to Dr. Vontela’s expertise. She has my utmost recommendation.

She was able to get the materials to have me smiling almost immediately. Then low and behold my other front tooth broke on vacation she had my appointment the day I arrived back in town. Dr. Vontella is without a question a "Super Star" among dentists. She was able to do things that most dentists would send you over to an oral surgeon. She is so good about making sure you are not experiencing pain. I highly recommend her.

Experiencia negativa: All of Dr. Vontela's bad reviews are accurate. I highly recommend you go anywhere else. I had to take her to Small Claims Court for $8,400 for dental work that was improperly done. She retaliated by trying to get a restraining order against me. Both Judges saw through her lies. I was awarded $8,475 from the small claims case and her restraining order was denied. She thinks she is entitled. She will over charge you if she can and look down upon you, especially if you're a medi-Cal patient. She's not a good person or a good dentist. Her dental work is subpar at best. If I could give her zero stars I would.

Experiencia negativa: On my first appointment dr Vimala seemed rude but I let it slide because it was my first visit and I thought I exaggerated. But today when I went to my second visit, first of all the girl that put me in the room when she opened the tools that were going in my mouth she did NOT use gloves. She used her bare hands to touch the tools. Then the dr. numbs me and while I’m sitting down she wants me to keep my chin up so she can do a deep cleaning which hurt so much because the anesthesia wasn’t helping and she keep saying it was me. Then she starts drilling on the other side with no anesthesia and gets mad when I tell her it hurts. Then I asked her where was she going to put the crown I needed, she say on the left side. I told her what about my tooth that actually hurts aren’t you going to do anything on it and she got mad and I literally had to walk out she is so rude and very unprofessional and she didn’t finish job. Yes, I walked out and that’s why she didn’t finish but it was a very bad experience. Please make sure if you decide to go there that the tool they use are sterilized. The girl did not use gloves to prepare the tools for the dentist. Don’t call your patients GIRL we are not besties

Experiencia negativa: The one star is for the front desk and assistant.. they are actually nice. I should have read the recent reviews before going because I received the same treatment. She is VERY condescending and extremely rude. BOTH visits she had me in tears.. first one she kept asking me if I was a drug addict. Then would say “are you sure you haven’t had an addiction? Your teeth show different” no I told her that I have extreme anxiety in dentist offices, I hate getting work done. I also have not taken care of my teeth most of my life and love my sweets. She kept insisting I was a previous drug addict and only stopped once this brought me to tears. Then I got one of those famous lectures like I was a child. She doesn’t give you time to answer her questions and will talk over you, then go off on you for trying to answer the questions. I shouldn’t have gone back but she had already sent in my x rays and got my approvals the same day I went to get a tooth removed at another dentist she referred so I went ahead and made an appointment for the work. When that day came 4/4/2025 I didn’t even see the dentist until an hour after my appointment time which was already aggravating because I just sat there listening to her work on someone in the next room. When she got to me she said she had an emergency come in and would be working on her other appointments during the day and me back n forth so i would be there for a few more hours., I’m a single mom of 3 my youngest isnt even 1 yet..she knows this.. i can’t just be gone all day. I also drive from 2 hours away because she was recommended by my mother but we had different experiences. She tells me “well your mom is watching them right? So what’s the problem?” The problem is that I can’t just leave my kids all day, some people might be able to do that. She then starts telling me “ what do you want to do? You want me to do this? Or not? I’m doing you a favor, you can go to western dental”.. doing me a favor because she wanted to do 2 root canals and a cleaning in one trip.. okay THEN LEAVE TIME OPEN TO DO THE WORK! Not expect me to stay all day when I already have a 4 hour trip back n forth. Communicate! I really need the work done and didn’t want to waste my trip so I tried to just ignore and move on. She starts aggressively putting numbing stuff with a qtip in my mouth. I asked if I would need any shots or if this was the only numbing medicine used for a deep cleaning. She starts going off saying “I can do whatever you want. You want shots? I’ll give you some shots. This should be enough but I’ll do whatever you want”. So I let her know that I just wanted to know because I haven’t had a deep cleaning before so I was unaware and wanted to be warned before getting any shots in my gums.. one of the WORST parts of the dentist for me are the shots.. she tells me to open and grabs her need and starts to put it in my mouth.. of course I pull back n ask are you giving me a shot? She then takes a step back, holds the needle by her shoulder, and rolls her eyes to the ceiling just staring up. This was SO AWKWARD! Reminded me of a teenager. I was in shock and confused. I asked her “uh are you okay?” She starts saying “yeah I’m okay are you okay? Are you ready? Can we do this?” I asked her again “are you okay? Why are you mad? Why are you treating me like this?” She starts going off telling me that I was assuming and not to assume anything.. assume?? I then proceeded to tell her that I asked to be warned of a shot seconds before you are putting a needle to my mouth with no words.. she argued with me for a few minutes until I let her know that I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable being near her in the state of mind she was currently in and NOT letting her work on my teeth. She then starts saying “fine you want to leave, then leave.” I cant even remember what else this woman went off about because I was in flight mood at that point. I left shaking uncontrollably and crying while she continued to go off on me. I left saying “I’m so uncomfortable , I’m so uncomfortable, I can’t be around you” over and over.

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend! Dr. Vontela is amazing and confident she always provides me a sense of security in any procedure she is performing. She makes me feel comfortable and the treatment plan shows they have my best interest in mind and truly care.

Experiencia fantástica: Thanks to Dr Vontela, My broken molar extraction was quick and painless. Which has resulted in very little pain during my first few days of recovery. Also the rest of the staff are always friendly, helpful and very professional!!

I’ve always had great service here and Ashley at the front desk is a gem. She remembered me and treated me like an old friend. Experiencia negativa: One star is so high for this place. I was thrilled for my appointment since this place has “many positive” reviews. Despite reading the negative reviews, I gave the Doctor an opportunity. There was many encounters that I should have have left. For example, lecturing me on how I should ask questions, another scenario was when she told me that I could just leave since I was asking questions. I asked if she recommends braces or a vis-line and she gasp and said braces with a shitty explanation. That I’m suppose to know since it’s my teeth. Then she said, “this procedure is going to hurt a bit” I responded, just be careful since you said it would hurt a bit” she stops and starts lecturing me , stating “ you think I’m not careful with ever patient” I stated back that, I hope that she is, that she’s mad and that I just ask that she’s careful since she did mention that it would hurt a bit. Mind you, I had no teeth ache and now I do.. I wish I never went to this location. Worst cleaning in my life and I would never in my life come to this place again. NEVER

Experiencia negativa: I want to start by saying the receptionist and other girls who work in the office are very sweet and I really like them. The Dr on the other hand is very rude, especially if you accidentally do ANYTHING that inconveniences / irritates her. I was just there today, and I needed a filling shaved down shorter and x-rays for a cavity I have. I originally called and let them know exactly what I was coming in for. She shaved down the tooth, that went fine but then sat up the chair and said i was done, but i had previously called and said i needed x-rays done as well so i said “oh one more thing, i actually needed x-rays done for a cavity i have as well.” The DR said “why wouldn’t you tell the dental assistant that” and I was like “I was unaware I was supposed to do that. She didn’t ask the reason I was in so I figured you guys must’ve known from my original call.” She says “we get thousands of calls a day, we’re not gonna know the reason you’re coming in. I was just about to clean up and now I have to do this. And now I have to get the dental assistant back in here to do that. Next time tell her.” I remained respectful and made eye contact and nodded to ensure her I was engaged in the conversation, then said “okay. So this is the tooth that hurts.” And showed her. She said “let me make sure you understand what I just said since you completely disregarded it right now.” And I said “no I do understand but I did call originally and let them know the exact reasons I was coming in so i definitely figured you guys would be aware..” she must’ve lectured me at least 3 times over it and literally was sighing and huffing and puffing over it. And while doing it was telling the assistant how she didn’t want to be doing it.. also when I pointed to which tooth was hurting she said “don’t put your finger in your mouth!” She just lacks common decency and treated me like a child. It was so unprofessional and I felt disrespected and uncomfortable. She talks in a rude tone and is bothered when you don’t know everything, even though it’s her job, not yours. It’s hard to find places my insurance will cover and it’s between here and western dental, so as of now I go here. But honestly do not recommend because if anything goes wrong the dr will lecture you for 20 minutes and make you feel like an inconvenience.

Experiencia negativa: WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I received a broken crown from Dr. Vontela early November 2024. After the work was complete I expressed how unsatisfied I was then I was berated by the Dr, she was very condescending & rude. She then proceeded to tell me “I didn’t even make money off your implant” when I paid full price. There’s no resolution in site even after multiple appointments. She ruined my smile & embarrassed me. Please do your research before making an appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: The Doctor and whole staff were very professional, I felt really relaxed and had some laughs! My procedure included an extraction and I didn’t feel a thing!!! As I am writing this it is day 2 and still no pain! Thank you TEAM!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Vontela and her staff are amazing! Very professional and courteous, and when they got a cancellation they called me to fit me in sooner. Dr. Vontela took her time to take care of my issue and I am so thankful I did not have to have a tooth extracted because of those efforts!

Experiencia negativa: I went for a partial. Dr. Vontela could not fit me properly. After the second attempt which fitted worst than the first she blamed me stating “no one could please me”. The first partial was so tight, I could not withstand the pain. The second was so loose, I could pop them out using my tongue. Yeah, no one can please me. She did begrudgingly stand by her word and return my money. Her other services teeth cleaning etc were acceptable.
